Leon D.S. Geeste
Leon let out a soft hum in response to Homura's suggestion, dragging his feet as he continued onward. Kicking aside the leaves he unknowingly left a path of his trail behind. For now his mind was too consumed by the various ideas he was developing as to what their next course of action could be to concern himself with the possibility of being tracked.
"I don't think anyone else is here," he said, his statement vague and lacking in detail as he pulled forth the energy to state his thoughts aloud. This place seemed far too serene to be as developed as Earth, and while it was possible that the level of advancement was more in line with that of Expel he still found himself doubting it. With so many people appearing out of thin air, all of which had powers to some degree, surely natives would have taken notice by now. For a brief moment his thoughts flashed back to that of the creature they had defeated and the pink haired girl. Perhaps she was one? If not, then maybe the monster itself. The prospect of hundreds of thousands more of those things populating the planet wasn't exactly an appealing concept but it was a possibility. "When we-um, when I used to travel I would stay in caves when towns weren't an option. Not an ideal choice but having a wall to your back is nice."
A cave, huh? She had never adopted such rustic dwellings but it's not like she opposed to it. But instead of replying, Homura shut her eyes in a display of thoughtfulness. In reality, she was tired instead. Since she woke up from this morning, she's had to fight several Wraiths, got transported into another dimension, got dominated in a fight with a mangaka, got into it with a murderer and then had to see her powers nullified. At this point, camping in a cave was very welcome if only she could refresh herself. Not to mention Leon's injuries that still needed to be tended to. "If we can find one," Homura answered softly. It was a large point. What if they couldn't find any caves? Well, one thing was for sure, they did need to find shelter.
It was only a few more minutes of walking, did the trees thin out and a large shadow of a building appeared. It looked to be only three stories at first glance but it was dark and obviously miskept and abandoned. The peeling shutters were falling from the broken windows. The walls had several holes, one allowing one to see into the second story from which an unknown piece of furniture threatened to fall from. It might have been Homura's imagination but the house also seemed to be on a slight slant as well.
Homura stopped right where the trees ended to eye the house with suspicion. It was the first piece of civilization that she had come across save for the four people that she had met (two she wished she wouldn't cross paths with again). There was no way a person could comfortably live in it though and it answered their need, if only for the night. Even so, she retrieved her gun once again to be safe.
