"Right..."


I wasn't quite sure how to react, so sat on a sofa and relaxed as I waited.

 

[SavvanahRo]

I took a quick bath, not bothering to wash my hair, as it usually proved to be a hassle in the small tub.

 

[PicaPirate]

I waited patiently on the sofa, humming a tune I remembered from my childhood alone.

 

[SavvanahRo]

I put on some clean clothes before going down and sitting beside him.

 

[PicaPirate]

I sat back in the sofa and relaxed, not really quite sure how to start the conversation. It was difficult deciphering what she wanted.

 

[SavvanahRo]

I glanced at him quickly before playing with my hair, a nervous habit.

 

[PicaPirate]

I quirked an eyebrow at her nervous glance, then thought. He hit a brick wall, so a generic question came to mind.


"What you thinking about? You seemed lost in thought."

 

[SavvanahRo]

"Just…stuff." I kept twisting my hair and pulling on it, not able to look at him.

 

[PicaPirate]

"Right. Also is my face that scary or something to look at?"

 

[SavvanahRo]

I shook my head, now biting my lip.

 

[PicaPirate]

I looked at her in confusion, not really sure what she was doing.


"Umm...you okay?"

 

[SavvanahRo]

"Yeah…I'm fine," I said hurriedly.

 

[PicaPirate]

I chuckled lightly.


"You don't sound it. Something sounds off."

 

[SavvanahRo]

"I'm fine," I repeated.

 

[PicaPirate]

"Up to you."


I laid back, stroking my hand through my hair.

 

[SavvanahRo]

I continued biting my lip, glancing at him as he ran his hand through his hair. "Can you not?"

 

[PicaPirate]

"Ummm...okay."


He thought for a moment.


"Do you have any drawing tools?"

 

[SavvanahRo]

I nodded. "Follow me." I stood up and led him to a small room connected to my father's study. "This is my mother's drawing room. It's the only room that wasn't harmed."

 

[PicaPirate]

"Cool."


I took a graphite chalk and a pencil, a piece of paper and a hardened board. After glancing at her a few times, I began drawing her. At the moment it was just initial structural sketches to make sure the posture and proportion was right.

I smiled and looked out of the window. The room was full of my mother's drawings, most of me or my brothers.

 

[PicaPirate]

I continued drawing, now doing details of the body itself and penciling them them in. At times I added more shading with the graphite chalk.

 

[SavvanahRo]

I stared out at the woods and the pond, smiling to myself at the memories of my mother drawing them.

 

[PicaPirate]

Eventually I was done. It was a detailed full body drawing of her looking out the window, with the graphite used for shading from the light cast from the outside against her.


"Opinions?"

 

[SavvanahRo]

I looked at it, then at him, smiling. "I love it," I said softly.

 

[PicaPirate]

I smiled, wondering what to do with the now done picture.
