Isaac had been staring at his cold palm for a while now. Anticipated action taken against him despite all the effort put into espionage placed an iron collar around his neck. These guys had plans and boy did they plan well. His right hand vibrating was the first telltale sign that he needed warmth, and the meticulous geysers of snow going off in his trail did not help. This was getting infuriating, and not in a playful “I hate this game” way either. Snow! They seriously got an area dedicated for winter! Isaac still couldn’t believe it. A few hours in this wintry hell and his mind dare not accept it!

The hated white stuff scrunched beneath angry square-mouth shoes as the teen hid behind a suspiciously tall snow dune. Some bots decided it’d be more fun to chase him to the mountainside instead of cornering him in the fearsome haze of airborne snow. Isaac smirked in memory of his cool tactics. He was up against a bunch of them, and being they were outfitted for the environment he had nothing but odds stacked in his path, but alas a little zig there, another zag near, and he found himself successfully outrunning them after ditching several white winter cloaks. If any zeal came of this trial it had to be the insane direct confrontations. He skipped off the heads of his pursuers for crying out loud, and that was freaking amazing. Oh yeah ditching those other kids was alright too. Eight-hundred was a huge number...

Expensive gold ticked ignorantly as green orbs halved at the time displayed. Isaac hid the watch in the long sleeve of his khaki suit with a huff, “Just a bit more.” He gave up the battle to an almost deranged smile on his features, it was hard not to enjoy these circumstances. Infuriating or not, this was fun. Wind blew by muffling screams in the distance, the howling giving him a moment of dangerous clarity. A breath fell free while he clasped his hands, the unhelpful chilly breeze buffering growing excitement. Just then he stood well throughout the cold, only quiet black feeding six senses.

“I caught you!” Automated speech erupted from behind the teen, solid grips scaring him witless as he caught a mouthful of snow on his trip. His brain nearly exploded in a mixture of “I saw this coming” and “what the heck is happening” during the swift capture. “Ay ay ay put me down!” Isaac shouted, their response them lifting him up and finishing the hump of snow they were hiding in prior. “Puwahh!” Isaac coughed to clear his throat while the humanoid dragged him over to another hump of snow. “Awww come on! -” In a stroke of dumb luck, the robot dropped him and ran away as Manipulator's voice was heard over the loudspeaker.

| || - | - || - | - || |

Isaac sauntered towards a crowd of sounds he heard earlier, bits of combat and voices drawing his pace. He was practically clad in white now, a beacon in these new honey colored lands. ‘Just another glorified desert…’ He smugly thought. The grasslands definitely had his eyes wandering, a silent "squee" when he took in a nice view. ‘Too bad it’s all a sham huh…’ Came and went another thought. Reinvigorated steps slowed as he reached his destination, a careful hand itching to brandish his pure winter scarf, his king cape arrogantly hanging off him. His lips parted for a signature move; the annoying grin.

Judging by how the blonde boy took out the robot Slate figured his Quirk would allow him to win easily. As soon as the five minute break was over he rushed at his target while turning into saphire. Jack was kinda surprised to see a blue skinned boy run at him apparently ready to attack, but figured he should be able to take him down easily. Planning to use Slate's momentum against him he retracted his right arm and extended it into a gut punch. While he had been hoping to catch his opponent of guard by extending his arm a foot further than normal Jack's plan backfired spectacularly.

Somehow the blue kid's skin was tougher than the admittedly probably weak metal the robots were made from. "What the fu....?" Jack didn't get the chance to finish his sentence before Slate knocked the wind out of him with a gut punch of his own. "What is the matter? Bad Quirk match up?" Jack had no idea why this kid attacked him but he did know he had no way of winning. He might have lucked out and avoided breaking his hand but he was sure he should avoid punching anyone with it for a while. He only saw only one option, run for it and hope he managed to find a robot he could take out the same way as the first one before time ran out or he got beaten himself.

Key Word: At least.

In other words, there's the possibility that more than 9 people are guaranteed to fail. And judging from the fact that there seems to be a number of robots that seemed to just disappear, Christopher felt anxious as he realized the truth: Once all the robots were gone, anyone who didn't reach the quota would fail immediately.

Chris started mentally freaking out as he kept running, I just have to find one more robot.

And as luck would have it, he spotted an area with two robots, Yes! Hopefully, I can take out at least one of them.

However, all of a sudden, he felt the ground beneath him shift, causing him to trip. He looked behind him and saw a brown-haired girl touching the ground and staring right at him.

Chris immediately jumped up, feeling an overwhelming sense of bad news wash over him. And it was well felt, since the girl stomped, sending a crack right towards Chris.

Chris shouted into his hand, creating a sound ball then propelled himself in the air with it, just high enough to narrowly avoid the spike of the earth that just protruded from the ground in the space he was standing.

Chris was flabbergasted, What in the world is she doing?!?!?!

"Stay still! Those robots are mine!" The girl shouted. Chris sighed. After all, he expected something like this to happen but not to him.

Landing on the ground, Chris created a few more sound balls and launched them at the girl, "S-sorry but I can't just let you d-destroy both of them!"

As they hit the girl, pushing her back, Chris ran closer to the robots, eventually spotting a boy and another girl already in the vicinity, Oh no! More people!

Before he could react, the earth girl hit him in the back with a baseball-sized rock, causing Chris to hit the ground, I need to take care of her first!

Alice and Another student were nearby as two other students began to attack them. She began to notice the other student beside her head to the robots before the girl attacked him by shifting the ground.
"Woah watch out!" She shouted to him.

She screamed the robots were hers. It seemed people had realized that there wasn't much time left and were sabotaging eachother to get their points in. That wasn't very hero like at all.
As the boy had fought the robot another boy came out of nowhere and started swinging at Alice with metal arms.
She dodged him narrowly. All she had to do was defeat a single robot. But it didn't look like he would give her a chance.
While he was certainly at a close range advantage with his arms, she thought she would have the long range advantage.

She would have to find a way to freeze him before she could take on one of the robots.

He threw another punch, one that slashed right by a piece of her hair.
Okay so he's definitely not playing around. She had to think quickly about how to deal with his metal arms. It had dawned on her that metal tends to burst when it gets frozen, so she simply had to grab his arms when he swung and freeze them. Perhaps a taunt would be best.

"You're gonna hurt yourself if you keep swinging wildly like that!" She said sticking her tongue out at her."
Not a great idea as his next swing bruised her shoulder. She just needed a opening. A left swing. A right swing.
He seemed to be getting more tired and finally stopped as he ran out of breathe. Now was her chance.
Running straight up him she grabbed his arms and started to freeze them. He had a look of surprise before he started to scream in pain...

Chris started to retaliate, throwing balls of sound at the brunette as she shot rocks toward him. As he sent his own barrage, the girl started to go on the defensive a bit more, bringing up slabs of earth to shield her from the air bombs. As she hid, Chris glanced towards the other two individuals to see that the male started attacking the girl. Chris frowned as he shook his head, Some people have no decency.

His attention quickly snapped back to his own battle once the girl started attacking him more, though her attack became sloppier once Chris continued his own shots.

Due to the reload time they both had (as well as the cooldown period of Chris screaming and the girl bending down), it seemed they were evenly matched until they heard a scream. Glancing over the brunettes' shoulder, he saw that the other girl had grabbed the arms of the boy and started freezing them, Woah! That's a pretty cool quirk.

Unsurprisingly, however, Chris's attacker was also distracted, leading Chris to take advantage of the scene. He quieted himself as he started preparing more powerful sound bombs and then jumped on top of one of her previous creations and shot himself into the air. From there, he started raining a barrage from above. The girl, who at this point didn't know where he was, was then pelted from above, each direct burst of sound pounding her into the ground, it only getting worse as he got closer. Once close enough, he curled up into a ball and landed on the girl.

Despite not being extremely heavy, the weight, combined with the previous damage done to her, was enough to knock her unconscious. Chris, fortunately, was not unconscious but was in a lot of pain, I'm gonna feel that for a few days.

He limped up and turned towards the girl, ready to help her take down her attacker if needed. After all, un hero-like behavior should not be condoned. He just hoped he didn't need to fight her off to if it came to it, but he didn't think he would, considering her warning from earlier.

The boy with metal arms kicked Alice's feet out from under her, causing her to lose her grip and send ice shards out into the air. By some stroke of pure luck (or the head instructor pulling some strings), two faux villains fell from her ice attacks. The male attacker was now on the ground in the fetal position, nursing his swollen arms. A robot dug out of the earth with a bright green "pass" on its chest right next to her.

The earth girl fell unconscious, blood oozing from her nose and ears due to all the noise. In addition, Chris would see that another faux villain had fallen due to a piece of earth stuck into it. However, as he may think it was the girl, a robot walked up to him as he landed, the same green illuminating its body.

Astralworks Astralworks

Isaac would see a faux villain nearby and have his usual cockiness about winning and such, the animatron's back to him and all. However, his smugness was wiped clean off his face as a fist the size of Mt. Rushmore clocked him sideways. It hurled him a few scores away (score = 20), planting him face first in a pile of simulated Bison dung.

The offender walked slowly up to the fallen snow-user laughing. "Thought ya had it in the bag didja mate? That 'un's mine ya slinka!"

Ryusei Hikari
"Robot, robot, robot..." Hikari restlessly muttered to herself, passing by the same exact reed that she'd walked by a minute ago.
She'd spent the entirety of what was supposed to be a five-minute break stalking the dense underbrush for any signs of a mechanical monster that was in need of a good pounding, but all she'd managed to find in her time searching through the seemingly endless field were weeds, and the wreckage of the same robot that she'd destroyed just moments ago.
Just have to take down one more robot, right? That should be easy enough, the last one was pretty weak... she assured herself, passing once more by the ruined husk of metal, now half-obscured by the local shrubbery.
Feeling a sense of well-earned pride welling up in her chest from looking once more at the remains of her fallen foe, Hikari paused to reflect on her triumph, gleefully adding

Or maybe it's just because I'm so strong!

It was then a sudden, odd sensation overtook her; a sudden popping in her ears, a prevalent gale that hadn't been there before, the immutable feeling of the hairs on the back of her neck rising.
She needed to move. Now.
Her body reacted before her mind could process the thought, her legs throwing her body forward, only to be picked up by some invisible force, and flung to the side like a rag-doll.
The first impact with the ground jarred her shoulder, sending a rough spike of pain that shot throughout her body.
The next however, she skillfully caught the dirt with her hands and feet, sliding amongst the slick reeds until her entrenched fingers and heels managed to grind her momentum to a halt.
Now with her balance recovered, Hikari retained her hunkered down position, her eyes and ears on high alert for any sign of the foolish villain that had dared to approach her.
To her surprise, however, an unmistakably human voice cut harshly through the air.
"Aww...You dodged it!" It droned mockingly, slowly advancing towards her, until Hikari could vaguely make out the the voice's source hidden amongst the reeds; a wiry, lithe-looking girl, with a trio of strange, open holes in the space between her knuckles, rough, thuggish clothing that looked like it would belong more on a gangbanger than on someone who hoped to be a hero, with a sadistic, ear-to-ear grin to match.
"...And here I was, thinking you were just some stupid blowhard from all the yelling you were doing outside!" The girl jeered, her smile tilting up, into a smug, self-assured smirk, that did just as much to make Hikari's blood boil as her callous remarks.
"Oh well..." The girl nonchalantly shrugged, before casting her arms out at her sides, her hands clenched into fists as her entire body tensed in preparation for another attack.
Her voice suddenly lowered, the casual snark she'd shown suddenly replaced with a cold, and deadly seriousness.
"Try not to take this personally...but I'm gonna have to take you out of this little test..."

"Huh!?" Hikari angrily barked back in response, a thick vein of rage snaking along the side of her head as she bolted to her feet, self-preservation be damned.
She had no idea what this girl's deal was, or why she was bent on fighting her, and in her anger-addled state, Hikari didn't really care.
All that mattered was that she was getting in the way.
And that someone needed to wipe that big, stupid smile off of her big, stupid face.
Stomping towards the arrogant girl with menacing purpose, and violent intention, Hikari harshly snarled, "You wanna go!?"
Breaking into a mad dash to close the target between her and her new target, Hikari belligerently declared, "Fine! I'll take you out in 5 seconds flat!"

As he was running though Jack realized something, he was attacked with no good reason. He didn't deny that not all pro heroes were paragons of virtue or that they had to be, but letting someone like this blue kid pass the exam while other students lost by playing fair or even helping others wouldn't sit right with him. He still didn't have any illusions about being able to win as long as his opponent could stay transformed, his Quirk might let him use his arms like jackhammers but they were still flesh and blood, he could at least try to make him waste as much time as possible.

Unfortunately that would mean he was probably gonna take a beating since fighting back was stupid. Sure he had learned that human bone is stronger than reinforced concrete, but that wasn't helpful here. Best he could hope for was that his opponent couldn't stay transformed forever and capitalize on that. Even his so called supermove was useless here, since in exchange for punching that fast he barely had time to retract and extend his arms meaning he sacrificed power for speed.

With that plan in mind Jack slowed down and allowed Slate to catch up to him. He did prepare for whatever opening he could though by retracting his right arm as far as he could and keeping it that way. Even before the second round began he could feel his muscles ache from the tension since he had never kept his arms retracting for longer than the time it took to throw a punch, at least there wasn't any real damage yet. "So you're giving up? Smart move."

Slate was about to just knock the loser out when he noticed Jack's arm. Not worried but also not wanting to take any changes he made to keep his transformation up as well. "Really? You're gonna ruin your arm for nothing, you can't win either way. Trusting his Quirk to protect him he used the exact same punch as last time.

When the sapphire fist knocked the air out of his lungs a second time Jack almost relaxed his arm. Catching his mistake just in time he focused even harder on keeping it retracted, though he did end up falling on his knees. As a result he was unknowingly condensing and hardening the bones.

Despite his earlier plan it was clear to him that there was no way he could endure even two minutes of this, let alone ten. Hoping Slate would have to turn his Quirk off soon he decided to try and wait just a bit longer. Unfortunately a robot chasing another student who ended up eliminated showed up in their line of sight. While Jack recovered from the distraction first he still wasn't sure he could do much. Still using all his strenght, just like the first time he managed to break concrete, he landed an uppercut on Slate. Unlike that time though the angle of his punch was off, but he managed to catch Slate of guard both with the punch itself and how hard his hand was. Of course he wasn't knocked out but Jack could still tell he was dazed. Figuring it had to be either a weakness of the kid's quirk or just a glas jaw Jack didn't sit around wondering what happened.

He got up as and chased after the robot as fast as he could. There was no way he was gonna his right arm for this dominant or not. Both the muscles and who know what else in an arm hurt way too much. his left arm wasn't much better but he knew from experience it was enough. Luckily he managed to cross half the distance before Slate recovered because that meant there was no way he could catch up.

Focusing on the robot he barely dodged a shot of quick drying concrete and although it took him longer to cross the distance then normal got within punching distance long before Slate did. With a repeat performance of his fight against the first robot Jack took the machine out and passed the exam.

Lauren Forsythe
The start had gone well enough, Lauren thought. She had eased through the written exam and the first half of the hero exam had been a cinch, avoiding the eyes of the mock villains or steering them towards the other students. The goggles her father had procured for her certainly met her standards. There had been a few complications with the sensory overload, but Lauren had time and soon the display was showing her what she needed to see.

However, the advantage of new technology came with overconfidence, and Lauren had taken a hard fall, injuring her ankle while avoiding the attacks of a robot about halfway through the survival bout. Her quirk allowed her to move with speed and fluidity unlike others, but she still had limits, and she had tried and failed to free run between two bots and a tree. She had managed to get one of the bots to destroy the other while dodging it; before directing the remaining robot to a group working together and hiding up in a tree.

She had not anticipated the trees lowering into the ground, however, and winced as she was forced to return onto her sore leg.

"Applicants. This is Head Teacher Manipulator. There are 163 of you left. At least 9 will fail. You have a five-minute break, and then when the testing resumes, you will have ten minutes left. Your task has changed. You must destroy at least two faux villains to pass. Those that already have done so will be removed from the testing area and held at registration. Do well."

“Ugh, of course there was a secondary criterion, I should have predicted this,” Lauren cursed her lack of foresight.

This was bad, her quirk offered no significant offensive boost against the robots, and she was injured. Her only hope - Lauren’s eyes lingered over the remaining competition - was to use all available factors to secure her spot.

Time Froze, the grass paused in its flow, the wind sat still.

Lauren was stuck staring forward at a small group. As her thoughts focused, the lenses on her goggles did also, zooming in on the individuals. Images flashed in front of her and Lauren took them all in, analysing those whose quirks she’d witnessed and those she hadn’t.

In order to succeed, I’ll need someone with a direct quirk, a simple power boost that can take down a robot. Preferably someone simple-minded so they will just blindly attack and allow me to outmanoeuvre them, an area of effect quirk would serve me no good as they will either secure the kill themselves or catch me in their attack. A simple strength-enhancing quirk should work well enough.

The image lingered on a figure several yards behind her, she had observed him briefly, his arms seemed to extend and contract, she had witnessed him destroy a robot earlier. He would do for her purposes.
Time started forward again and Lauren waited out the five-minute break with her leg rested. As the action commenced, she stood, wincing; 5 minutes wasn’t enough for it to heal, but the pain had lessened somewhat, though her leg was still stiff.

Right, now to get close to that puncher

She pivoted on her good leg, and moved onwards. Her plan was simple enough, move in and feign assistance by drawing the robot’s attention, then when the puncher had broken through the robots plating, use her speed to disable it fast. She hopes that her earlier act of using another bot to break its ally would count as a success.
As she stiffly ran forward, Lauren encountered a quick problem in her plan; the desperate competition was turning on one another to secure a spot, and her target had been engaged himself.

Lauren clicked her teeth in annoyance, only five minutes and a wrench had been thrown into her plan. Proximity alert going off behind her, time froze again, and Lauren looked to see a man swinging what appeared to be an energy whip at her.

Dammit, how can these dunces plan on becoming heroes!?

Lauren inputted for her knees to bend, mentally forcing her legs to move while pushing against a seemingly invisible force. Time returned and she fell forward, the whip crackling overhead. She grabbed a handful of dirt and chucked it at the man’s face. He recoiled and Lauren swiftly pivoted and jammed her elbow into his stomach, time froze, and her elbow sprung upwards, colliding with his chin and knocking the whip user out cold.
Lauren spat in disgust, looking back towards her target. Her eyes widened as her quirk activated, a wad of quick-setting concrete was hurtling towards her. The puncher had dodged it and Lauren had ended up in its path.
A surge of inspiration hit, and Lauren inputted her body to fall sideways her injured leg to rise and her opposite arm to straighten.

Time restarted, and Lauren entered a one-handed cartwheel, she avoided the cement landing on her body but succeeded in having it wrap around her injured leg, an impromptu cast. She completed the cartwheel, her cemented leg landing with a heavy thud. Due to the weight and size of the cement, she would still have a limp, but the cement provided plenty of support for her ankle.
While she had pulled off the move, the puncher had successfully taken out the bot. There were very few bots left now, Lauren froze time once more to search with her goggles for the nearest one. The nearest was close to a fighter she had declared a no go, a girl who was able to pick up tornadoes, and once she had noted at the start of the exam to be overly boisterous and loud.

Lauren moved off towards the next closest robot, three others were chasing after it. Lauren ran at an interception path, and the bot was now between her and it’s three chasers. It let loose another glob of quick-setting cement and Lauren ducked and allowed the glob to hit her fist. Springing off the cemented leg she punched with all her might at the joint on the neck of the robot, knocking the head back far enough for -freeze- her free arm to dart in and pull out the wires that were hidden.

With a clang and a shudder, the robot fell to the ground, as the bright green pass symbol appeared on it. Lauren allowed a smug smile to bequeath her features as she turned to the three students tailing it, who were all glaring daggers at her.

Merci beaucoup mon amie,” Lauren said, bowing to them.

She raised her head and put on a mock kind voice, “If you want to pass, you best stop glaring at me and get on your way. Au revoir. She smiled and waved at them as she limped off out of the training grounds.

King Crimson King Crimson
The tornado girl shook her head in laughter, purple locks waving back and forth. "You're so dumb." She shot out a gale of air, the holes in her hands controlling the flow of air to create the spinning twisters of death around her, then flung them at Hikari. There were two faux villains hearby, however, and they jumped in on the action as well. One wielded lightning and the other shot tremors through the earth like sound waves.

Corvo stood over the unconscious body of a nameless participant. “Sorry. Guess I overestimated your quirk,” he uttered, the aura around his hand beginning to dissipate. The boy who’d lost consciousness had a quirk that allowed him to harden his skin by transforming it into rough bark. It was still no match for the power of one of his concentrated punches. Luckily I didn’t need to use too much of my aura. It’d been painfully obvious by the way the boy fought that he was used to just bulldozing his way through problems.

On average, I can only use my quirk for about thirty minutes a day. I’ll have to use it sparingly if I want to take out two faux villains before the time is up.

In a one-on-one, Corvo was sure that he could take on the mechanical beasts in a fight, but circumstances were hardly ever that ideal. He looked around the battlefield, in search of red, glowing eyes. Three participants were chasing after a single robot in the far distance. Maybe I’ll go over there and take the kill for myself. Before he could do such a thing however, a bot came rushing at him from behind, leaving a trail of bent grass in its wake. Corvo had to think quickly, as its arm was already beginning to reach down for him.

If I’m going to try, I may as well go all out.

Corvo’s leg began to glow orange. The sign of an oncoming attack. He swung his right foot backward, focusing all of his aura into that location. The robot’s arm began to cave in as Corvo followed through with his attack.

I meant to take its whole arm off, but its way stronger than I imagined.

The robot’s now broken appendage veered to the right, missing Corvo only by a few inches. When it finally managed to recover, Corvo was already in the air, swinging his left foot down at the bot’s vulnerable head, flattening it to a paste.

One down, another to go.

The machine was still falling onto its side when Corvo’s feet finally touched the ground. The aura surrounding his leg began to vanish as he looked back at the trio of competitors, who were now standing miserably over the corpse of another fallen machine. They were glaring at some girl with a smug look on her face. She must have ended up stealing the kill.

Gotta find another before it’s too late. Luckily for him, the area was still riddled with exam’s bots. Each one trying its best to capture the remaining participants. I’ve got to be prepared for whatever comes next. Corvo shrouded his entire body with aura. The “mist” his quirk usually gave off upon activation was now just barely visible.

The sound of mechanical parts racing towards him suddenly caught his attention. He raised a brow, turning his head just in time to see a flying bot swooping down on him like a bird hunting prey. He backflipped into the air, using his own momentum to swing his feet around in a perfect circle. At the last second, he moved his aura to a single leg, kicking out with full force. His opponent hit the ground violently, rolling across the field until eventually stopping a few meters away. It tried to stand but Corvo was on it in an instant; arm glowing with a dangerous amount of power. He knocked its head clean off this time, the light in its eyes fading into a dark nothingness.

A large green sign with the word “PASS” on it appeared on the machine’s chest. Corvo was breathing heavily now as a result of his quirk’s use in the finishing blow. As long as I passed... he thought, making his way out of the arena.

Ryusei Hikari
The distance shrank rapidly with Hikari's aggressive advance. The storms thrown her way did little to stop her, easily danced around with years of practiced, honed footwork
Soon enough she was almost upon that purple-haired girl, arm ignited and ready to make good on the promise of wiping that ever-present smirk off her face.
All she had to do was extend her arm out, and touch her.
But then, she felt a familiar popping in her ears, and a dreadful weightlessness spread throughout her body, as the purple-haired girl's form suddenly became lost in a sea of confusing, unceasing motion.

Kukuku! It's really too bad that you ran into me of all people on this test! The girl sadistically laughed to herself, as her opponent was helplessly carried away by the miniature typhoon she'd created.
And in such perfect conditions too! These nice, flat plains are ideal for causing mayhem with my little twisters, not a single mountain or molehill in sight to weaken them!
The battle seemed over before it had even began, the girl had thought to herself.
Until a small, metallic gleam peeked out from between the parted reeds, and flashed in her eye, revealing something that placed a heavy brick of dread within her stomach, sending it falling all the way to her feet.
A lone, destroyed robot, half-buried in the dirt. Right in front of her tornado's path.

No matter how hard she fought, the all-encompassing winds around her seemed to refuse to let Hikari go, and the purple-haired girl she'd been fighting was only getting further and further away.
And then, something changed, the powerful force that trapped her seemed to thin out, at times, nearly dropping her as it lost the ability to hold her weight.
Realizing an opportunity, Hikari curled her body into a tight ball, and used what little control she had to ride the winds up to the storm's top.
The twister spat Hikari out like a magnificent cannonball, hurtling right towards the storm-wielding girl that stood, dazed and awe-struck below.
As her arms and legs unfurled, she let rip a vicious, belligerent battle cry, her body crashing into her target with a harsh, brutal crunch, that sent both girls tumbling into the dirt.

Hikari rolled haphazardly off of the girl that had had the misfortune of breaking her fall.
The impact had knocked the wind out from her lungs, and already, she could feel several bruises forming on her torso. A good thing she was already well-familiar with the sensation, and she could easily walk it off.
From the way her eyes were rolled in her sockets, and the thin trickle of blood and drool leaking out of her mouth, however, tornado girl was not so lucky, and wouldn't be getting back up anytime soon.
Or so Hikari thought.
To her surprise, the girl suddenly half-rolled, half-flopped her way into a face-down position, a harsh, raspy "Y-You...bitch..." croaking out hatefully from her battered lungs, as she stubbornly propped her body up on wobbly arms that wouldn't stop shaking .
---
Both combatants rose groggily to their feet, their bodies beaten, and sullied with dirt and mud.
Their limbs heavy and leaden within their sockets.
And their eyes, boring into one anothers', unwilling to back down, and still hungry for more.
Hikari's body tensed, preparing itself for another round. The purple-haired girl did the same, settling into her previous fighting stance.
Before the two could start again, however, a mechanical whirring filled the air, and two ominous shadows descended upon the girls from opposite sides, their red eyes locking onto the pair with crimson malice.
"Tch...Stupid tinker toys..." the purple-haired girl spat, looking dismissively at the new arrivals.
"Can't you see we're in the middle of somethin' here?"
"Yeah!" Hikari begrudgingly agreed.
"You guys can wait until I'm done dealing with her!"

The robots, however, seemed less than accommodating to the two girls' request, one raising a massive, tree trunk-like arm up, a large cylindrical piston springing out from it's joint.
Before it could bring it's arm down, Hikari rushed forward, intent on taking it down before it could have the chance to attack.
However, after only a few steps, the sudden feeling of weightlessness filled her body again, and once more she was carried off into the air.
"SERIOUSLY!!?" Hikari shouted over the roaring wind, not sure whether she should be more angry at the tornado girl's persistence, or her own naivete
From the corner of her eye she could make out the girl's face, instead of the smug look of betrayal she'd been expecting, however, the girl stared back at her, eyes bulging in shock and regret.
Guess she didn't mean that one.
Whoops.

The robots's arm came down with a deafening boom, sending a rippling shockwave that tore the ground asunder, turning the fertile grassland into dust, and dirt mounds.
The sheer sound generated from the impact sent a vibrating shock that resounded throughout Hikari's body, shaking her to her core.
Luckily, trapped within the storm, she'd been spared the worst of the robot's attack.
Even better, the uneven terrain was causing the twister to lose it's shape, putting Hikari right above the earthquake machine, in the perfect position to counterattack.
Emerging from the tornado's recesses, Hikari dropped down on the robot from above, the point of her flaming elbow spiking into the robot's back, and severing it's metallic spine.
The robot powered off beneath her, a small, hidden screen flickering to life just above where she'd landed, displaying a single, four-letter word in green letters;
"PASS"

It was over.
Once more, her fatigue vanished, replaced with an exuberant jubilation.
Hikari raised her arms to the sky, ready to screech her victory to the heavens, but instead, another kind of screeching filled the air, and it was anything but victorious.
Peering out from within the bisected earthquake machine, Hikari quickly found the source of the scream; the tornado girl, body twitching unnaturally on the ground, face contorted and screaming in agony, a pair of strange, metallic probes piercing her body, connected by a pair of metallic wires, to a robot with a large, scorpion-like tail, which ended with a multi-pronged alien apparatus.

---
Tatsumaki sat there, writhing helplessly on the ground, each second bringing with it, a fresh jolt of debilitating, shocking pain that seared through her senses.
She tried desperately to hold on, to stay conscious, but the darkness was closing in, and quickly.
She'd worked so hard to get here...
Sacrificed so much...
To think she would lose it all because she decided to fight that loudmouthed, idiot...
In the dim recesses of her failing vision, she registered a small flash of orange light pass by her, the distant yelling of some familiar voice.
All of a sudden, the pain stopped, and the wires that had held her body fell limp, falling to her side with their tips glowing like hot pokers.
Rolling groggily onto her back, Tatsumaki looked up to see that long-haired idiot standing over her, one arm ignited as she stared down the scorpion-tailed robot.
A bright purple light filled her vision from the distance, accompanied by the horrid scent of Ozone.
The long-haired girl's head whipped towards her, her orange eyes boring into hers with that same unrelenting passionate fury.
"FINISH IT!" She commanded, the desperation in her voice shocking Tatsumaki back to her senses.
The robot's tail was raised high above it, glowing with a purple, ominous light, and poised to strike her down.
Without thinking, Tatsumaki reacted, raising her hand up, and putting the very last of her energy into one single blast of wind, strong enough to knock the automaton over.
Reeling back from the sudden gust, the robot falls onto it's own tail, it's body twitching and sparking erratically as it's system is overloaded with a lethal electric discharge, before falling limp and lifeless, belching smoke from the thin seams in it's chasis.
A few moments later, a small black screen on it's underside flickers to life, displaying a single, green word;
"PASS"
The purple-haired girl didn't rise from the floor, still in a state of shock, unsure whether she was awake, or if she was experiencing some form of hallucination from being electrocuted for two long.
Did that idiotic girl actually just save her?
---
"Phew!" Hikari exclaims, stretching her worn-out arms as she watched the still, smoldering robot.
Turning back toward the purple-haired girl lying on the ground, she casually states, "Well, that was pretty easy!"
Extending her hand towards her, Hikari cheerfully adds, "C'mon, let's get you patched up, then I'll pay you back later!"
With a deep nod, and a small chuckle, the girl's bewildered stare shifts into a small, accepting grin, her hand reaching up to latch onto hers.

Unbelievable, but not inconceivable. The smoothe brunette ran the possibilities through after all, and a sneak attack successfully executed upon him was one. Isaac groaned at the fleeting feeling on his left side. Yeah sure it was one, but it wasn’t favored that’s for sure. He couldn’t utilize speech outside so he stuck to screaming internally, “God damn it that hurt, I can’t feel my legs holy crap!” His eyes were squinched as tight as the ass he got knocked on, the urge to just lay there and accept the “L” stronger than ever before. “Gahhh, damn it…!” If only everything would stop shaking already, then he could at least lie to himself about taking a stand once more. Once more…

Isaac swore he saw shoes on the edge of white. “Snow…?” Jaded orbs narrowed angrily in understanding, “Shit…” The snow mound he was blanketed by used to be several pieces of clothing stylishly wrapped around him, in other words he got hit so hard his quirk deactivated. Teeth grit in useless annoyance he decided to enjoy the ground a bit longer. “Hey… I’m out alright… The bot is all yours…” Current positioning dictated that less than a second of reaction speed would win this “battle”. Moreover, he’d pull the metaphorical rug from under his opponent via making a large enough cape and forcefully yanking him off his feet the moment he bought into Isaac’s words.

The Aussie native smirked as he punched one hand with the other and walked toward Isaac. "Oh I ain't lettin' ya off that easy, mate. We're gonna have some fun, you an' me." But just as the bully enlarged his fist again, Isaac put his hand on the ground and created a huge jacket underneath him, then pulled it out just as he planned. There were two faux villains chasing a young girl through the grassy plains, just passing by when the massive fist crushed them into scrap.

Another robot appeared next to Isaac, a bright green PASS on its chest.

Heavens man stood tall and upright, posture locked with his arms crossed in front of his bare chest. He peered through his dark shades at the students slowly being filtered into the audience hall by the robots. Some looked battered and bruised, others totally fine, a great deal looked like they would collapse from exhaustion. Gritting his teeth he did his best to remain stoic, he wanted to remain on the stage as a figure of intimidation while they entered the hall. UA wasn’t for playing around, and today was no exception. He still thought that gewher and manipulator were being far too soft on these kids. Only two robots each?? Was this a public school now?
Minutes passed as he fumed until his queue arrived. A small monitor on the back of the audience hall lit up green. A sign from manipulator that the test was concluded and all students had arrived in the hall- a massive auditorium with a stage that looked like it was used for opera, wooden stage and red curtain. a tall ceiling stood above them with large lights pointed downward at him.

“ATTENTION ASPIRING UA STUDENTS! I am Heavens Man, the Male side Dorm Overseer!” Heavens man’s voice boomed through the audience hall bringing all idle chatter to a swift end, followed by an even more deafening silence.

“You are here because you have passed the UA written exam, as well as the practical exam...” he paused giving he kids a moment to feel good... perhaps they’d earned it...

“SO WHAT?!” He exclaimed once more, snuffing out any pride they might be feeling. “Thousands in generations before have sat exactly where you do, some of whom became nothing more than mere desk jockeys! While others became he greatest heroes of their generation. How you turn out will be decided squarely by you. Work hard, train hard, learn hard. HONOR YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY by taking this opportunity to become the greatest UA students you can be.” Heavens man let that linger in their minds before continuing.

“For now, you will rest until final registration tomorrow morning. Please find your name on the monitors in the back of the room, then proceed to your dorm rooms. If you have questions, ask. Dismissed.” Heavens man pointed a large muscled and tattooed arm towards the monitors which blinked to life as if on queue, revealing columns of names and form assignments.

Inside Ronu couldn’t help but feel a bit of excitement, another class to mold all his own, to break in all his own... a small grin peaked through his stoic expression. Class 1A would be something special this year, he just had a feeling.

With the test over Jack joined the passing students in the audience hall . After all the troubles the robots caused him it felt a little odd to casually let them guide him but he just went along with it.
As soon as everyone was there, someone who Jack assumed to be a teacher gave a speech. While it started out nice with the man revealing himself to be in charge of the dorms Heavens Man quickly revealed himself to be way too serious about turning the students into pro heroes for Jack's liking. "Geeze, I hope I don't end up in his class." he muttered.

After the speech was and Jack made his way to the monitor he was glad he didn't have questions at the moment and hoped he could stay under Heaven Man's radar as long as possible, the guy surely wouldn't be happy with the fact that he had no intention in becoming some big shot hero and would instead be happy if he just graduated from U.A without too much problems. After the students in front of him had found their room he spent a few seconds trying find his name on the screen. As soon as he found he headed to what would be new home for as long as he was in school, wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of the day relaxing and goofing off while maybe making some new friends.

Desmond found himself sitting amongst a large crowd of what would become his fellow students. He’d been in there for while and the entire time none other than Heavens man had been standing up on stage, unmoving. At first he’d figured it was a statue, but why would there be a statue of him here? Sure he was a pro hero of some renown, but hat wouldn’t make any sense. Maybe he was trying to intimidate them?

Desmond shrugged off the ominous figure and tried to close his eyes. He was dog tired and ready to sleep, but as soon as he did, Heavens man began his welcome speech. Since Desmond had seen him on TV before, he at least knew a bit of what to expect. Heavens man sure was more abrasive in person than on tv though. He felt a cold shudder at the thought of him being his teacher.

Dismissed he headed to the monitors. Dorm 1A. Desmond shrugged and headed out. Everyone seemed to know someone else here, but Desmond hadn’t seen anyone he knew yet. He let the crowd dissipate before he started wandering towards the dorms. The campus was really something else, lush green trash around the walkways. Perfectly shaped trees and buildings so clean he figured you could eat off them. Finally he reached the large row of dormitories. So many windows.... Desmond thought as he approached the first one, clearly marked 1A. Opening the door to the common area he found nice hardwood flooring and a high ceiling. Leather furniture and holographic TVs sat grouped in various areas of the open floor plan. Though the first thing Desmond noticed was none other than Kurt, the boy from the test who he’d helped. Kurt noticed him as well and waved.

“I saw you had passed, but didn’t think we would be in the same dorm!” He said as he approached. “You look way more ragged up close than you did earlier.” He added with a smirk.
“And you look way less scared without a robot chasing you.” Desmond snapped back quickly. They both smiled and laughed, a friendship clearly growing already. “You find your room yet?” Desmond asked, looking around the corner to the huge kitchen area, filled with pristine looking steelware and countertops.

“Not yet, figured I’d wait to see who our new dorm mates are first.” Kurt replied, eyeing the door as a fellow dorm mate walked in.

The test was over. Alice couldn't believe she had finally gotten into UA! She had been dreaming about this moment for years much to her mother's anger. Standing infront of a crowd of students the male dorm overseer told them to head towards their dorms. Alice went to the female dorms and found one that belonged to her. There wasn't much inside yet as she hadn't decorated it any yet but she managed to set down her things and begin unpacking. Within a while the place had been mostly organized well. She would have to find things to give it more of a theme but for now she could atleast enjoy the space.

Upon laying on the bed, she began to get excited at her future here at UA. She still didn't know how her mother would react but for now she didn't have to worry about that.
She still had to go see the common area looked like however. Heading up she walked towards the common area that was connected by both the male and female dorms.
The TVs and Furniture felt interesting. She didn't think that a school would have any but she supposed they would have to do things over the weekends and perhaps watching movies was going to be a thing. She sure hoped so.
She did see some of the other boys she saw earlier during the test. She walked over to them and spoke to the boy she helped after he crashed.
"Um Desmond right? I don't think I ever said my name, I'm Alice." She said extending her hand for a shake.
She looked to the other boy he had been talking to.
"I don't think I ever got your name." She said waving.

Lauren Forsythe
A short trip to the nurses after the exam was over and Lauren’s ankle was now bandaged up. She was still limping a little, but the effects of the analgesic medications were starting to show their effect. Lauren had also returned her visor to its case in her bag and was now just wearing a pair of red glasses in their place as she waited in the audience hall for the ceremony to commence. She resided herself to not looking around, the only people she’ll need to know will be those in her class. No one seemed to be looking at her anymore, without the oversized headpiece obscuring all bar her mouth and hair she was probably unrecognisable to anyone who had observed her during the test itself.

The lone teacher who’d been observing them from above finally decided to speak. His attitude reminded Lauren of a cat vying for attention from the owners who weren’t paying attention to it, and she cracked a small grin at the image of a stoic cat braying while wearing shades. His speech wasn’t of much note either, trying to rile up the students by diminishing their accomplishments today. Lauren was almost surprised at the lack of another teacher there to give a motivational speech, the sole bad cop approach was a little unorthodox.

Once he was finished Lauren moved swiftly towards the monitors, weaving ahead of the mingling student body. The 1A dorm, naturally. Lauren vacated the hall and made her way to the dorm room, as planned she had arrived before anyone else. Moving up to her room on the girl’s side she carefully stowed away her mask. She would have to send it off to the support school when classes started so they could add it to her official costume, but that would come later.

She laid back on her bed and began flicking through a book, utilising her quirk to read it quickly. She was half a mind to avoid greeting her peers until tomorrow but on hearing the noise of someone else coming up to the dorms, she sighed and sat up.
Leaving her room, she wandered down to the common area, it seems the one she’d heard was the light-haired girl, who was now conversing with two boys. Lauren walked over and seated herself down on one of the lounges, nodding her head towards them and smiling.

Je suis Lauren. It’s nice to meet you,” She said kindly, before lifting up her book and returning to its pages, waiting for another to arrive.

As Jack made his way to the 1A Dorms he wondered if he should go straight to his dorm room or hang out a bit in the common area first. The decision was quickly made when he realized his room was bound to be empty. Taking his time on the walk he noticed how much work went into U.A, it was to be expected of course what with it being the number one hero school but it was still impressive.
When he arrived he used his left hand to open the door since he wanted to give his right arm some rest. He doubted it was seriously hurt but still.

It turned four other students had beaten him to the dorm room, two boys and two admittedly two cute girls, three of which were already talking to each other while the last was reading some book. He sat down on the lounge the reading girl wasn't using. "Not gonna lie, it was pure luck that I passed the physical part of the exam. Almost got beaten up by this kid with a hardening Quirk or something, somehow managed to knock him out. The name is Jack by the way, Jack Carpenter." He saw no reason to deny how lucky he was or to baselessly try to impress his new classmates.

Hiroka herself was munching down on what seemed to be an endless bag of chips having already cleared several others prior, each being raised and vanishing behind the mask as she looks up to the man on the stage a little confusion at his later words, those who passed the Hero course all went on to be professional heroes unless they dropped out, but why would you quit if you were going to be a hero? arent those antonyms to each other. The part that really caught her attention though was the fact they were going straight to the dorm rooms, not only did they not have to wait for acceptance to be confirmed they even got a place to stay? So long orphanage hello cushy dorm room...heroes really do get the best of life.

The wide smile on the girl's face could even be seen behind her mask with how the corners of her cheeks were rising upwards, they had a funny guy in charge of the dorms but the rest she couldn't wait for. Skipping out across to the monitors she finally takes a glance to see where she would be going..H...H...H....There it is, Hmm with how the numbers change there it must be last one on the hallway or floor then? Well, hopefully, it's not too far from the kitchen.

Sniffing the air for a moment she turns to look towards a familiar boy who had been running from the robots in the first part of the test, it was a shame none of those she got out of the grasp seemed to be around...guess they didn't really break anything, hopefully, it wasn't from her breaking it instead but nothing she could really do about that now. In either case, she listens in to the interactions, She wishes she had more time to see their quirks in the test but that can come later, for now, she just names the names of those who are going to be becoming her classmates. Extracting a pink worn notebook she flicks through to clear pages and begins to make headings with each of the names she hears on what details she could gather, before long the pages would be full most likely but for now, she could tell she needed to leave plenty of space.

A short while later on the girl had already unpacked her entire belongings into the new dorm room, though to be honest such really wasn't a great feat given it amounted to a few dozen notebooks and a single duffel bag, but now she had some space that was her own she could fill it full of all sorts of cute things when she got a moment, it would help to pass the time and be really fun, tracking down some treasures in the junk piles. Listening further to Jack talk from her spot seated cross-legged in the common room she can't help but chuckle "It really was a fun test! I hope we get to play with those robots again. Id have tried to take one with me but not sure if it would fit in the dorm room....plus they said I couldn't" she does seem to pout a little at hearing about the hardening quirk though "Aww I really shouldn't have broken so many, you all got to have fun like that? I mean that sounds even better than robot!" the cutesy excitement was hard to miss as her disappointment turns back to cheer, stopping and blinking before laughing again with a rub of her hair "Oh Right I really should give my name as well" standing up she spins on the chair slightly with a pose almost resembling a bow "Himiko Hiroka, It's really nice to meet you all and this is going to be a great 3 years and beyond I can tell!"

More people started to crowd around. New faces that she hadn't seen yet. She wondered if these were all from class 1-A or were they a mix of different classes.
One of them came out of nowhere and plopped down on a lounge before introducing herself as Lauren in some kind of foreign speech beginning the sentence.
"Uh hi Lauren! It's nice to meet you too."
She noticed another student come up and sit down on another lounge. He had blonde hair like Alice did. When he had mentioned him almost losing to someone with a hardening quirk, Alice responded.
"Yeah I know. I had to fight this guy who had metal arms. I think I was lucky because my quirk basically countered his and I ended up tiring him out and disabling him.
I don't know what could've happened if I fought a less fortunate enemy. So I'm gonna have to train hard!" She said
"Anyways hello Jack. I'm Alice Sid." She said pointing to herself smiling.
One more had joined them soon after. She talked about trying to take a robot into her dorm and while that was certainly interesting Alice knew that would never be allowed so she wasn't suprising when she mentioned that they wouldn't allow her to. She finally introduced herself as Himoka Hiroka
"Hello Himiko, I'm Alice."

Jack wondered what kinda Quirk Alice had that gave her an advantage against someone with metal arms and how it would hold up against his own. Part of him wanted to ask her more but he also didn't want to be rude. Luckily for him any potential awkward silence was broken when Hiroka spoke up, though he couldn't help but snicker at the thought of one those faux villains being stuck in her dorm room. "Eh, don't worry about it too much.I mean you didn't go out of your way to keep destroying robots after learning everyone needed to beat at least two of them pass, did you?" He really hoped that there was no one in 1A who did that cause that would have been a pretty crappy thing to do in his eyes and he wanted to at least get along with his classmates.

A bit thirsty Jack got up and walked over to the fridge. Seeing several cans of soda he grabbed one for himself. "Anyone else want something to drink?" After waiting for responses he closed the fridge again, handing anyone who wanted one their can before sitting back down on the couch.

Lauren Forsythe
Lauren finished reading her book, shutting the hardcover with a loud thud. Two more had joined them in the common room, the Puncher; who she learned was named Jack, and another girl wearing a mask. Lauren was having a hard time maintaining her kind façade as she heard the masked girl talk.

Who in their right mind would think that was playtime, is this girl a child?

Though she maintained her composure, Lauren's smile only grew a little more strained as the girl talked. The puncher was acting somewhat humble, emphasizing his luck at having made it into 1A. As he walked over to the fridge Lauren called out to him.

“I was observing your fight, you shouldn’t denounce your own abilities just because you faced an opponent with an advantage against you. You still made it by your own abilities and that’s what matters, not luck” She voiced while thinking Ugh, isn’t this supposed to be the best class? If you convince yourself, you only made it on luck you’ll never improve. I hope the rest of the class have actual confidence; it would be so embarrassing if my peers weren’t capable. How would that make me look!?

Lauren considered leaving to fetch another book so she could avoid conversation for a little bit more, but she had a good spot on the lounge and didn’t wish to lose it to another newcomer.
“I think it was awful how everyone started attacking each other. We’re aiming to be heroes, not thugs. They don’t deserve to be accepted into the course if that’s their first instinct on entering a stressful situation; not intelligent either as others took out the remaining faux villains while they were busy taking out the competition, tout à fait ridicule, she concluded.

Lauren stood to follow jack to the kitchen, she walked to the kettle and began to boil it, an assortment of teas were in the cupboards overhead. Brewing a pot of tea would serve well enough to distract her from her negative opinions about anyone else.
