My Flower Boy (1x1)

Elliot inhales sharply, the smell of Cherry Blossom assaulting his senses. He closes his eyes and imagines himself laying on a blanket, petals from the trees falling gracefully and Ava watching from the top. Ava's hair cascading down and catching some of the petals. He opens his eyes when he feels someone staring at him. He turns his head and finds out is Ava.

"Oh," Elliot smiles, "hey."

She blinked when he noticed her staring at him. She turned away and tried not to blush when he caught her looking. Ava still wondered how Elliot could transform though..But she didn't want to question him to make him feel uneasy. She tried to laugh and not make the situation awkward but she just formed a small smile across her lips, not showing any teeth.

"Hi." She said lightly laughing.

"What's going on?" He asked, noticing her behavior. 'Odd, she's never behaved like this before. Wait, is that a blush?' He leans closer to her, studying her cheeks but from her view it looks like he is leaning in to give her a kiss.

"Nothing just-" Ava stopped her sentence when he got closer to her. Her eyes widened a little and she blushed more when he grew closer to her.

"I was just thinking of how you did it. You know..how you could change yourself..?" She said trying to say in a good way.

"Huh?" Elliot backs up. "How I could change? Oh," he scratches his head. "It's a long story, dating back to when I was younger."

She mouthed the words wow to herself. She thought what he could do was really interesting and cool but at the same time, she didn't understand why he decided to help her.

She didn't know if she wanted to ask him the question but she wanted to know a few answers. She slowly opened her mouth a little to speak. "Uh..How did you turn into Joseph? Do or did you know him? I mean, I really thought it was him." As she asked that question, she remembered that Elliot was the man that kissed her instead of Joseph.

"I didn't know him. When he dumped you at the coffee shop, I was at the next table and found that was not right and so... I remembered how he was and I just... copied him. I was the one to catch you after you left to the bus." Elliot told her, meeting her gaze dead on.

"You didn't. I just thought what he did was terrible." He sees a strand dangling and gently pulls it behind her ear. "Dumping a beautiful girl in public place and the way he did it... unnecessary." Elliot's hand cups her cheek.

Her cheek grew hot when he placed his hand on her. She smiled and didn't move and looked away from shyness. "Yea..I guess I have some questions answered now about why he- I mean you came back for me." She said.

"I went to you to make you feel better... but that's partially it. I always try to help people..." He pauses, not sure to tell her his other reason.

"The other reason was I wanted to meet you." Elliot explains in a rush, right before he lost his nerves.

"When I saw you, I thought you were pretty and I just felt a pull. Like we were destined to be together."

Ava's face grew hot and became pink. She thought about what she said and was emotionless. Then, she finally smiled at what he said because she's never really heard someone say that to her.

"Wow. I've never heard someone say that to me before." She said. She didn't know what to say but she did agree with him. Ava just didn't know how to say it.

"I feel like you're right in a way.." She paused because she didn't know what else to say but she kept smiled and blushing. However, she didn't know if she would get hurt again like when Joseph hurt her.

"I guess I'm just scared right now after what happened to me yesterday..." She tried to explain. Ava liked Elliot but since she doesn't know him well, she wanted to be careful.

What Elliot heard kind of hurt him. He let go of her face and smiles, covering his pain.

"Yeah, I know. Take your time."

She felt bad and she wanted to make the moment better. She held both of his hands and stood up.

"We don't know each other that well, why don't we get to know each other more so we can get closer to each other." She smiled and looked in his eyes.

His eyes followed her as she stood up and held her gaze. He gives Ava a genuine smile.

"That would be great, I'd like that."

Ava sat back down and looked to the side trying of thinking of something to talk about. She couldn't think of anything but just tried to make something up.

"So how old are you?" She laughed to herself. She felt awkward and stupid at the same time but she wanted to say something at least.

"I'm 26," Elliot replied. He was so uncomfortable with the shift of questions but went with it.

"How was your childhood like?"

She was surprised that he didn't ask the same question but she let go of his hands and sat back. She still smiled but didn't know what to say.

"Well...hmm...I don't remember anything before I was four because my mother died and something happened to me where I lost my memory. My dad told me that she saved me and he stopped talking to me and didn't say much to me so I was alone for a while. At school, I would see all of the girls on Fridays doing talent shows since we were in..kindergarten I think and I would see them getting ready with their moms." She laughed to herself.

"Their mothers would help me while the other girls would get jealous but overall I didn't grow up with a mother or my father wasn't around because he had business but sometimes I feel like he hates me... But as time grew on, I learned how to take care of myself and then I heard that my mother was a very good furniture make so I thought I would do that but people don't really pay a lot for not famous furniture so that's where I am now." She said.

"But other than that, I guess I was pretty normal." She said smiling to herself.

Elliot takes a minute to process what she had said. He wondered what made her loose her memory and how her mother die but he left it alone.

"That's some childhood."
