Veril began shaking. He simply nodded his head, tears ran down his face. He took his wife's hand and led her to the kitchen. He sat her down and sat in the chair across from her. "Well... I don't know how far back you want me to go.... So I'll start with...." He looked like he was getting choked up. Veril sighed and shook it off, tears still running from his red eyes. "I'll start with my first wife..." Veril spoke finally. "Her name, I don't even want to remember. But I guess I owe it to you." He sighed. Veril despised his first wife, but back then he loved her greatly. He was also meaner and more violent back then too.

@Mashiro Shiina

(Get ready b**ches cause the story I'm about to tell is based off of REAL events. Veril's first wife in the RP, was also my girlfriend. Yeah. You ready for things to get uncomfortable? Cause they're about to get uncomfortable.)

Upon feeling him shake, Iris immediately suspected violence, but didn't release him. She was proved wrong to suspect such when he turned to face her in order to simply take her hand and lead her away. Which of course brought her gaze to his teary eyes. With a worried expression, Iris slowly brought her thumbs to the corners of his eyes and carefully wiped away his tears. Once he sat her down, she immediately placed bother her hands over his, signaling he had her full attention. As he began to explain about his last wive, Iris remained silent, deciding it best not to speak until the end.

"A very very long time ago I got married to a girl named Ereeca. She was the love of my life. We had a house together, and one daughter. Her name was Emily. Well, Ereeca was unfaithful to me numerous times. When I brought it up she would deny it. I never caught her, but I just knew. So I decided that if she was going to be like that then I saw no reason why I shouldn't go out with other women. Ereeca was unfaithful twice... But.... I can't even count the amount of women I went around with. She never found out either. Our daughter Emily left home at a young age, so there isn't much to that part of the story. I was always afraid Ereeca would cheat, and when the day came it crushed me. I felt.... horrible beyond words." Veril told the story.

"I always tried. I really did. But Ereeca never seemed like she wanted to make things work. I was the one pulling all the weight. That's why it hurts to see them do this. They are acting so much like Ereeca. They don't think things through, they never just come to me and try to talk. They seem like they don't even want me to be a part of their life." He sighed. Veril's sadness was replaced with anger again. He couldn't help it, it was just how he was able to cope with being in so much pain.

(Her name was Cayleen. She was unfaithful once, then again, and then after she broke up with ME she began dating some other guy a week later. We dated for an entire year and two months. And you know how usually there are two parts to the story? Well in this case, there isn't. My side is the whole side. I have failed in plenty of relationships in the past and with Cayleen I was VERY VERY careful and observant about everything so that I wouldn't mess up. She would always say she was an optimist. But she wasn't even willing to try to make our relationship work. I was doing all the work and trying the most to make it all work smoothly. In the end she just didn't really love me like I loved her.)

(Oh and to top it all off. She had to keep me a secret from her family. But her boyfriend after me was all buddy buddy with them.)

( Wow sometimes I think my life is a mess with all the family drama I have, but I feel as if you have it even worse of them me. I feel for you bro. )

@The Master

((That's just so wrong. Unfaithfulness just pisses me off. If you're with someone and they're making an obvious effort, don't do something as bitchy as cheating on them. It's such a stupid move. Was she your first girlfriend? @The Master ))

Ezra watched her adopted siblings as they paled in fear of Veril's anger. "It's just his...personality. He tries to be a good person. He is a good person. People just tend to see the anger and rage rather than look deeper." She stared at them both in silence for a good minute before continuing, "He doesn't think you both love him. Make an effort. I don't enjoy seeing people upset." With that said, Ezra's usually foggy eyes turned bright and cold as her sleepy demeanor became much more sober and stiff. She looked at them hard with a slight air of distrust rising around her before finally calming down and returning to her usual ways. Ezra lifted both her hands and placed them each on Kassandra and Artorias' heads.

(No, she was not. But she was my most serious relationship. Like, the longest I've ever lasted before her was five months. So technically yes my first real girlfriend.)

((Oh, okay))

Artorias listenind to his sisters advice. "So that is how I can please father." He walked away from his sister and walked inside. Still emotionless as ever he looked at his father and said. "Would you like to hang out together."

Artorias didn't show it but he didn't like seeing his dad mad or sad, he hoped his sister was right and he could please his father, make his father happy again. He wanted to see the happiness that he first saw from his father when Artorias first joined the family long ago.

"We could watch TV, or play a board game or something else mabey just chat." Artorias stood still waiting for his father to respond. @The Master

Veril looked at Artorias for a moment. He stood and walked over, looking down at his son Veril blinked. "Lets go buy a new couch...." He simply spoke, patting his son on the head. "There is some stuff I need to tell you." He spoke mildly. Veril wasn't being mean or aggressive with Artorias at the moment, which was rather rare.

@Artorias

Veril looked at Ezra while he walked to the car with Artorias, "No, it will just be me and your brother. I need to have a talk with him." He spoke with authority, but not cruelty or anger. Veril figured that as a point in his favor.

Ezra nodded and gave a slight wave before reentering the house. She watched as her brother and father drove off down the street

Iris was silent after he shared his story. She was still processing everything even as he left with their son. Soon enough, her gaze fell back to gaze at her two remaining daughters, who seemed to be watching the boys drive off. "Well...Shall we girls go get our nails done? After all, I don't pamper you two enough in my eyes." Iris giggled, plastering her usual happy expression over her faded last one, setting her twinkling irises to gaze out the window as well.

While Artorias ran into the house to investigate, Kassandra was left in the backyard standing on the grass with her fingers clenched into fists. One could compare her to an old and brittle leaf: shaking viciously in the wind, about to crackle and fall apart at any moment from being so battered. If it were at all possible, the spirit was paler than ever before. Through the cracked glass sliding door, she could see the conflict that was going on inside of the house, but instead of doing anything, her legs froze up and she couldn't move a muscle. Everyone stayed inside, seeming not to notice the spirit, as if she had faded away as the ghost she had appeared to be.

Ezra then opened the sliding door and began to talk to her and Artorias both, that being about how Veril really was a good person. Well, possibly... Kassandra thought, looking down at her shoes. She then mentioned about how the father didn't think either of his adopted children loved him, and that was depressing to everyone. The spirit looked up at Ezra as she was being spoken to, and she could see that the girl had just woken up from her usually scheduled naps. She then looked at both of the adopted children with distrust before placing a hand on each of Kassie's and Artorias' heads. The spirit felt the urge to flinch away from Ezra's hand, but forced away the thought.

Veril then decided for him and Artorias to go out and get a new couch, so they had left promptly without complaint. Ezra then grabbed Kassandra's hand and pulled her inside. She stated that they should all settle for bonding, girls only. She didn't answer, but was instead forced upon going with the mother and eldest daughter. When asked by Ezra if she had wanted to go, the spirit forced a nod. "S-S-Sure."

Artorias got into the car and buckled up and sat still in the car. He wondered what his father wanted to talk about he hoped he wasn't in trouble for anything.

He pulled out a small notepad he kept on him and began to draw.

@The Master

Iris quietly looked at the two, before blowing her breath. "Alright you two. I want to know, what you two would like to do. If you dont mind me asking?" Iris then took hold of both their hands, pulling them both into a gentle hug. She loved her daughters. Oh, how she loved her daughters. Of course, not more than her husband, but just as much, and her son. She treasured them all, under all circumstances

Veril sighed as he drove with his son. "I think you need to learn the truth about this family. First off, my last name isn't even Fantasy. That is your mother's last name. Our family's name isn't, Fantasy. It's Anadrac, which is my real last name. Second, I had a daughter named Emily with my first wife. Iris is my second wife and Ezra is my other daughter. You have other siblings you don't know about, your last name isn't what you really think it is, and Iris isn't my first wife. Any questions?" He smirked. Veril knew that it would probably hit him like a ton of bricks hearing the truth of things so fast. "Your mother knows that my last name isn't Fantasy, but she doesn't know what it really is. So lets keep it a secret between us alright?" He laughed.

"Besides, I wanted to tell you before your older sister, Ezra. Even though you're adopted you're still my son." Veril spoke honestly. He was very old fashioned, and that meant that the son would be the one to carry on the family name. It also meant that Artorias needed to learn about Veril's family history. Even though he allowed the family to go by Iris' last name, he never made any of it legal. It was a pride thing. Veril would glance at his son occasionally to see his reaction about this all.

@Artorias

Artorias sat still as his father talked, the more he explained the more questions grew in his small mind. The biggest being "Why did you adopt me, you could've just let me go to a foster care or another family, you could have raised you're own son. So why me ?"

Even with this important question and all his father had said, Artorias hid all emotions. "Also what made you want to tell me this now, I'm still young don't most fathers wait to drop this on there kids till there older. I may act older but I'm the youngest one here."

Artorias crossed his arms and waited silently for the answer he wanted. He didn't say anything else he just stared straight forward at the road, reading every sign they went by for no real reason. @The Master

Veril, without missing a beat, answered calmly. "You act older and you act spoiled, and if you can do that then you can handle the truth." He took a while to answer the first question though. "Why I adopted you? Well.... I guess it was really your mother's decision to adopt kids. But I chose you because I didn't want anyone else having you. I love you more than anything and I would have killed to make sure no other family got you. As for my own son." Veril scoffed then smirked and looked at his son. "Well, your mother and I have been at the project every night since we got married." He burst into laughter, nudging his son as he continued driving. Veril sighed, smiling now. "But no seriously. You're my son. You are my real son, and no one can convince me otherwise." His expression was back to normal again as he drove.

@Artorias

Artorias looked at his dad and his emotionless face faded away into a slight smile then into something more. He hugged his father, "I love you to father."

When the finaly got the the store Artorias got out of the car. His emotions faded to nothing as he entered the public area. He walked back over to his dad, "Are we actually buying the couch or am I gonna charm speak us one."

@The Master

Veril put his arm around his son, "I love you to." He smiled. They finally pulled up into the parking lot of the store. They walked in together and Veril raised an eyebrow when his son asked him the question.

Veril smirked and whispered, "Just watch and learn son. You may be adopted, but I'll show you that a few of your old man's skills rubbed off on you." He spoke as he looked around. Veril nudged his son and pointed to a very young girl who worked there. "Stay here and just watch." He whispered, chuckling lightly. Veril walked over to the girl and leaned casually against a counter. Because of how far away he was from Artorias all his son could see was his father's lips move. Within moments the girl's face went extremely red and she simply nodded slowly with wide eyes. Veril wrote something down and gave it to the girl before touching her face gently and walking back to his son.

The girl rushed off, covering her still red face. Veril patted his son on the back and smiled, "We just got a new couch. That is how you charm speak a lady." He chuckled. Veril smiled down at his son, "You have to admit, I work pretty well right?" He laughed.
