I bounced my foot idly as Eli spoke, debating on when I personally wanted to go. "I don't want you to have to miss any classes though. Lord knows what they'll do while you're gone?" I was going to try to make it a goal not to miss any of my classes but there was probably not too much of a chance of me doing so. At the beginning of the year I always made a promise to myself not to miss any days unless I was really sick but...that usually happened for maybe the first quarter.

I chuckle a bit and shrug, "Believe me.. I miss so many classes while I'm here, but it doesn't really matter that much... I always catch up pretty easily, if I'm not already ahead of the rest of the class..." I turn onto my stomach and grab at my phone when it starts to ring. The minute I hit the talk button I'm pulling it away from my ear, cringing at the loud squealing scream coming from the other end.


"Mel! Inside voices so you don't break my freaking ear drums!" Laughter is heard through the line before I get the phone back against my ear, sighing. "Okay... What's up?" After a few moments of me nodding and making small 'uh-huh's through the phone I chuckle, say my goodbyes, and hang up. "Well... She said she's coming out tomorrow after school, and she may just stay a day... Apparently Arthur will need her help around the apartment the rest of the weekend.

Even I jumped a little at the loud squeal I heard come from the phone, eyebrows going up. From the slight crackle quality that the speaker emitted, I could tell this was a regular occurrence. While Eli talked on his phone, I messed around on mine, checking my email and various social media sites. When he hung up, I turned my attention back over to him. "Oh? Well that's still cool she can come over at least." I smiled some, stretching out on the floor. I tried to hide my relief at the short time she'd be spending here. The less time she was here, the less chance there was of her accidentally finding my little secret out.


"Do you have a lot of classes tomorrow?" I asked, wondering how that would work out. I had a few, but of course they weren't later until the evening. That meant more or less spending the majority of the day around her.

((Hmm.. I guess probably the same way we'll tackle Elijah being "gay", so Ash starts having feelings for him and just says that his gender doesn't really matter so she wants to try it? Then with Eli it'll be along the lines of- he already likes/loves Ash(wherever they're at) and doesn't want to let her gender get in the way of that?))


I smile and nod, staring at my phone for a minute before putting it back over on the night stand. "Um.. Not a lot. I've got my English at the same time, then I don't know what time I've got math until we go see the headmaster, and... Uh.. I think that's it, aside from basketball tomorrow afternoon..." I lay down again, feeling sleepy all of a sudden. "How about you? You said you're doing like afternoon for all of 'em, right?"

I nodded, equally as tired. Maybe it was a good idea to grab a nap before we went an ran all of those errands. I wasn't up for wandering around the campus in the hot weather. A sigh left me and I slowly moved from the floor to the bed, curling up there. "Yeah. I've got English tomorrow and probably Math once we figure this all out." Absently, I kicked the blanket up over myself and tucked a pillow under my head. Yep, I was definitely headed into nap zone. Hopefully Eli was done talking, there was probably only a minute or two left before I passed out.

I glance over at Ash when I hear his tired tone and just chuckle a bit, shaking my head in amusement. "Yeah.. Night, Ash." I smirk over at him, then settle myself more comfortably in my bed. It's not really that I'm so tired I need a nap, but I can't really play any games in case it woke him up, and I'd rather not call Melissa back right now because no doubt she'd start screaming my freaking ear off... I love the girl, but she's so damn hyper whenever she's excited.


So aside from texting the few friends I don't have and napping, there's really nothing for me to do. So the latter option seems the best, and I just close my eyes and try to force myself to fall into dream land.

It wasn't much longer after that, that I woke up, stretching deeply as I did so. Slumping back against the bed after I felt reawakened, I glanced around the room to see that Eli was dozing. A little sigh left me and I fumbled around on my mattress for a few moments, looking for my phone until I found it. Turning it on, I glanced through the few messages I had from friends and my brothers, smiling some. They were the only ones who knew about what college I had actually decided to go to and what I was doing with myself. So far it just seemed that they were checking up on me, and I replied to their questions, letting them know that for the most part everything was fine and dandy.
