BOOM! POW! EXPLOSIONS! Let's plant a charge on the door. If it collapses, it just wasn't cool enough.
Unanimous decision seems to be blow stuff the fuck up. (Welcome Heisenberg!)
Reaper was the one to take point. Spotting a lone murderhobo (the new dude), Ronan shouted to him. "Hey you, you're part of our crew now! Got a problem? Take it with the complaints department. That's our weapons!"
The explosion attracted more than just murderhobos. Soulless automatons awoke. "Death has come for you!" Their weapons didn't look promising.
What do?
A) The choppy route
B) The shooty route
C) Improvise? (Write in)
D) Retreat
While the automatons were deadly at range, they were no slouch in melee. Their flayers included axe bayonets not unlike Ronan's tomahawk. As the new one animalistically attacked, he got hit by a flayer bolt. The flayer bolt was quite painful as it disrupted the molecular structure of the area shot. Fortunately, it was localized. The plan was interrupted, but provided a good distraction for Reaper to cut up the enemies with his scythe. "Rub some dirt on it, you'll be fine!" Ronan helped the as-of-yet unnamed new crew member back up on the feet. While normal pistols would be pea shooters for the automatons, the heavy pistol was far from being a pea shooter. .50 caliber is made for big game anyway. If it could take out a bear, it can take out an automaton. Ronan fired two rounds at an attacker. One in the center and the other on the cranial top.
The first wave of automatons were taken out for now. The group was free to continue, but Ronan was still uneasy.
A) Investigate the remains
B) Just move on
C) Make sure the metal enemies are dead.
"Hey hungry, I don't think they taste good. We'll get you real food later on." Ronan noticed that the enemy had an advanced reanimation program. However, nothing that a double tap cannot fix. Advanced nanobots were responsible for repair and reanimation. There was a reason why the automatons were feared. Their energy weapons can be re-purposed after salvage. "The living cannot evade us for long!" One of the automatons suddenly reanimated.
Group choices:
A) Attack the automaton with everything we got
B) Evade the automaton and move on
(For his cannibalistic gluttony, I now imagine Historical Storyteller as a Tyranid)
The assault made short work of the automaton. Hungry did devour part of the automaton. The only question is if he would get indigestion. If he can digest non-organic material, he's good to go. The murderhobos descended downstairs to see if there would be storage to loot and plunder.
Their journey wasn't fruitless by any means. They found safes. Though they have to be unlocked to ransack properly. Ronan volunteered to be the one to do the deed. "I lockpicked and safecracked before." He didn't want to awaken more of the creepy automatons.
Choices:
A) Let Ronan do his stuff
B) Just break the safe open (consequences be damned)
C) Look for a password to save both time and the trouble
