He looked at her. "Ah yes." He said. He held out his hand and light appeared from it. "I don'r have anything particularly powerful. Just lights of different colors." He said.
"Wow...." she gasped sitting down as she stared at the lights coming from hi hand. "Did you ever did anything with those lights?" She asked.
"Course I did." He said. These lights helped me to meet his grandma. People tend not to trust floating light especially in japan. Think they belong to spirits and demons." He said.
"You meet her because of your lights? Oh well yes floating lights however beautiful legions always have them leading to ghost,danger or death..." Eliana smiled though "but who cares, you meeting Kaleb's grandmother with your light sound so cute something like in a fairytale!" She said with excitement really intrigued and wanting to find out more.
"Some rogunecks were bothering her. I just let out some red lights and it scared them off." He said.
"That's still amazing you saved her life....um sir how did she react to know you were a....you know a.... mutant? Or was she one as well?" She asked
"She did. She accepted me withoyt question." He said. "Kaleb says that you took to him almost as quickly."
"Really, aww how sweet.. you defently made an impression on her..." she replied before moving her gaze away from the man. Eliana lightly blushed to the man's comment. It hadn't crossed her mind that she quickly followed Kaleb after he had saved her and really even although it did make her nervous at first she was okay with him being a mutant. "Well we have argued quite a bit...wait Kaleb really told you about me?...I though you just found out about me?..." she asked thinking he had done the same how she never mention he was her friend to anyone.
"He talked nonstop about you." He said with a chuckle. "You bring a special light to his eyes."
"He did?!" Eliana gasped blushing at the thought of Kaleb talking about her. What did he even say? The though was a bit embarrassing but sweet at the same time. " I would think he would....I was kinda....no I really was mean to him. A bit after getting to know him and worse when we last argued.....I wouldn't think anyone or he would mention me...." she said the last part mostly to herself. "A special light?...think maybe because we finally found a great friendship in eachother? I think that might be why.."
"Yes. He seemed distraught after that argument. He was afraid he had hurt you terribly." He said
"He did...." Eliana said softly turning towards the kitchen. She stared towards the sound of water and dishes moving around. "He really shouldn't have....he really never did anything wrong.....he had just been helping me and like a complete idiot I was really mean and distrusting of him..." she answered as she kept looking towards the kitchen.
"Trust me." He said. "He kept beating himself up over it. He cares for you deeply. He said he's never felt as though anyone appreciated."
Eliana looked back towards Kaleb's grandfather. "I wish he hadn't....he really didn't do anything wrong..." she replied. "Because they have not really met him or taken the chance to truly met him. Yes I know he had a hard past, but Kaleb's is a good person from what he shown me. A great friend, he has many talents, strong, and not to mentioned he protected me a few times....I would be a goner if it wasn't for hin...also...he is so cool! Just don't tell him that or it will go to his head...." she said with a chuckle.
"I know." He said.
Eliana stoped chuckling as she looked down at her hands. "I'm sorry for just appearing at your doorstep...but thank you sir for letting me stay the night..." she said looking over to the older man.
"Just th night? Stay as long as you need." He said.
"I don't think I should I'll be intruding....would hate to over stay my welcome..." Eliana said.
"Trust me. With the condition you showed up in, Kaleb will be keeping you close as much as possible."
This suprised Eliana, she hadn't thought she had reached their doorstep in such bad shape. But then again what happened with the Mechanic had pulled her away from herself. But she figure she really must have seen a mess with her red cried out eyes, red swollen cheek and all the brusing on her arms. "Okay....ill stay.." she said turning her gaze down as the blush came back to her cheeks. It was strange to think someone could care for her and would want her around.
Kaleb walked in with some icecream for everyone.
Eliana looked over at the direction of the kitchen not hearing the water running of dishes moving around. She smiled watching Kaleb walk in with icecream for everyone. Eliana thanked him as he handed her one.
Kaleb sat down with them. "So grandpa tell you iow he met grandma?"
Eliana nodded "Yes he he told me that he saved her from some rogunecks using his lights " she replied
"Yeah its a lot cooler than how we first met." He said.
