"The arcana is the means by which all is revealed"
- ยป Melia Antiquaใ LOCATION ใin front of the mansionใ TAGGED ใ NeonArmageddonIt was no surprise that Tenko seemed to question her status. Despite how she acted, Melia's position had been questioned even back home, though that had been many years ago, back when she was still a princess, but it was less concerning her behavior and more her appearance. Among her people back then, she had been different given her much shorter wings. In a place like this though it mattered little, yet it felt odd to be reminded of such a memory- one that forced her to be reminded of the loss that had come to her kind. For a brief moment a glint of sadness found its way into her eyes, but Melia composed herself rather quickly. Now wasn't the time for her to let herself be bothered by matters of the past.
"You wouldn't be the first to question my royalty, so do not feel bad for it," she stated. "Besides, my current attire hardly suggests of such, so I would not expect it to be all that easy to believe at face value." Pausing, Melia folded her hands together in front of her stomach as her eyes quietly scanned the others that surrounded them. Some blatantly stood out due to the outfits they donned, while others were more ordinary. It didn't mean much in the long run, but it did make her feel as though she had chosen the proper outfit to arrive in. If she had worn the gown she often wore for more formal affairs, she suspected far more attention would have been drawn to her, and her royal status would have been flaunted for all those to see. How dreadful that sounded, especially with all the cameras around.
As they crossed her mind, her gaze shifted to the nearest one before she gestured her head towards it. "With those, what did the man call them again...?" Her sentence ended abruptly as she momentarily racked her own mind, but when the answer came to her, she continued, "Right, cameras! With them around, it's probably best I don't draw too much attention to myself. It would be awfully rude. Besides, I hardly know a thing about such technology, so perhaps my understanding of them is rather skewed..."
Melia wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Was the point to draw attention or was it the opposite? Having them always on her seemed unappealing, yet if how the strange girl from earlier was anything to go by then maybe it was good. Perhaps Tenko knew more. Averting her eyes back to the younger girl, she figured it didn't hurt to ask. "Would you perhaps know anything about these cameras?"code by @Nano - ยป Princess Zeldaใ LOCATION ใpath to the mansionZelda was grateful when Link seemed to notice her discomfort. While it wasn't like her to make such feelings evident, this time around she hd felt the need, just in case her knight hadn't gotten the same vibe from the canine as she did. Even as he placed himself between her and it, her eyes warily looked it over before moving to Rufus and doing the same. He seemed less worrisome, but with a companion like the one he had, that led her to worry.
Her concern would have lingered if it had not been for Link's signs drawing her attention back onto him. As she took it all in, Zelda gave a slow nod of her head. "You're right, we shouldn't linger here for much longer. The others ahead are likely awaiting our arrival." Would they even be waiting? Now that she thought about it, she wasn't sure, but either way they ought to get moving. The sooner they arrived, the sooner she could begin her own exploration of the area- which she admittedly was excited for. While it likely would be nothing like exploring her kingdom and all its many wonders, it would be something new. That was what would make it fun.
Letting the thought slip from her mind, Zelda's gaze moved back to Cloud for a moment and in that instant she finally noticed that his expression had returned to the rather gloomy one he had been wearing upon her arrival. How unfortunate. Clearly the newcomer's arrival was to blame for it this time, which only led her to believe her assumptions of their relationship were rather spot on. As much as she wanted to step between the two though, she still couldn't bring herself to it. That brought a faint frown to her features, though she forced it to leave as she turned to Link once more.
"Let us take the led. I'm sure they will follow suit," she addressed her knight, while keeping her voice rather hushed. While she felt bad leaving Cloud behind, she figured it was better for her and Link to move ahead and give him a reason to follow suit. Maybe that would be enough for him to shake off Rufus, though she had her own doubts. Giving the former SOLDIER one last glance, she offered him a sympathetic look before she completely turned and began to move along the path once more. As she did, she gave a small gesture of her hand to signal for Link to follow.code by @Nano - ยป Xionใ LOCATION ใin front of the mansionใ TAGGED ใ A Hazy Sort of ClarityThe sound of a voice caught Xion off guard and out of habit, she quickly turned with her keyblade still held high and pointed it at him. For a brief moment she stood like that, allowing her mind to register exactly what was happening, and when it did, she finally lowered her key and let a soft sigh escape her lips. "My apologies," she mumbled, her gaze dropping, and like before, a saddened expression seemed to cross her face. "It was just getting uncomfortably close. I wasn't sure what else to do."
She figured there must have been something else she could have done, but what exactly was beyond her. It wasn't as if she was accustomed to these things. All she had ever known was fighting, and being used by the Organization to achieve their goals. It was only by luck she had managed to escape and even then, that should have been the end of her, yet here she stood now- trying to fight off such unpleasant feelings while also being in front of cameras that wished to get up close and personal. It was a bad mix and something she would have to figure out how to deal with as she moved forward.
Another sigh escaped Xion's lips as she let the keyblade in her hand vanish from sight and her gaze to drift towards the cameraman apologetically. Giving him a silent nod of her head, her attention shifted again and her eyes finally dared to look at the swordsman that had approached her. She spoke no words, but rather quietly looked him over. From his clothing style she couldn't help being reminded of some of the warriors she had seen at the Olympus Coliseum, yet something about him didn't make her believe that was where he was actually from. Besides, from how the others in the Organization made it sound, there were hundreds if not thousands of worlds out there. The likelihood he was from one she knew seemed slim in that case.
Putting his appearance aside, Xion pursed her lips as she tried to think of how to continue the conversation. What would Roxas do? He always had been better at social interactions than she had, even if that wasn't hard. Even so, she could never find it as easy to talk like he did. Her shyness always seemed to kick in, and that it was. Finding it impossible to keep eye contact with Ike, Xion's gaze dropped once again and a hand quickly moved to awkwardly rub the back of her neck. "I... um... er..." she stuttered. It was evident that she was finding no answers to her question of what to say. She could only hope she wasn't making too much of a fool of herself.code by @Nano
