He's prone to violence and anger but only if he's provoked by others. Besides his bad boy "I don't give a shit" exterior, Lyle is extremely smart and does very well in school.  His favorite subjects in fact are math and science.  Not only that, but he is the biggest hopeless romantic.  He wouldn't tell anyone, but the only reason he flirts with so many girls is because he's trying to find "Mrs. Right". Lyle was born in Le Mans, France to his mother Odette Dubois. Lyle never knew his father because he was merely a one night stand his mother had. His mother said that she had tried to find him but never did. From a young age, Lyle loved to cause trouble at school. He enjoyed the attention he got considering his mother was a powerful woman and rarely had time for Lyle. The trouble he caused at school would be reported to his mother Odette, but almost always she gave the job of disciplining Lyle to her mother Gizella. Gizella was not gentle with Lyle; so much so that Lyle grew to be afraid of his grandmother. After a while, Lyle stopped acting out and became very close with his grandmother. That was until they moved to the US. Lyle's mother had to relocate for work, so when Lyle was ten years old, he, his mother, and his grandmother, all moved to the united states. As soon as Lyle got back into school he started acting out again. He missed his friends in France and all of the children made fun of his accent.

At the age of 13, Lyle was contacted by his father who had been secretly e-mailing his mother for almost a year. His father wanted to meet him; at first Lyle refused and didn't want anything to do with his father but his grandmother insisted that he give the man a chance. And Lyle, being so fond of his grandmother, agreed at the very least, to have lunch with his father. So his father flew in from London, England and they spent an entire week together. During that week, Lyle learned that his father's name was Arthur Bone and that he had two half siblings named Margaret and Henry. (Lyle thought these names couldn't get any more English but he kept that bit of information between himself and his grandmother) Much to Lyle's surprise, he had enjoyed the time he'd spent with his father and had even asked if he could go to London to meet his siblings. But once Arthur left for London, Lyle didn't hear from him again. Lyle was furious. The man didn't speak to Lyle for 13 years and then comes into his life for a week and vanished. Lyle's poor behavior in school escalated and he shut out not only his mother but his grandmother as well. A year later Lyle's grandmother died. Lyle was grief stricken, feeling as though it was his fault his grandmother had died. If he hadn't been such a terrible grandson she wouldn't have been so stressed out all the time. But, time passed and he soon was able to set aside his grief to commemorate her memory. When he turned 16, he got a tattoo of his grandmother's favorite flower, the iris, on his forearm.
​

As for his shapeshifter lineage, He had no idea he had these powers until he turned 14.  These strange new abilities, the struggle with his father, and his new home made life extremely difficult for Lyle. His mother and grandmother had never said a word to him about his powers.  It was a recessive trait passed on through the males in their family.  Lyle's mother had a brother, Theo, who had the trait but he was taken by the French government and he was never seen by his family again.  Odette and Gizella were afraid this would happen to Lyle, and so they kept his powers away from him.  But when Lyle was 15, and he was going into high school, he got accepted into Mrs. Evan's School and he couldn't have been more grateful than to be surrounded by people just like him.

Jessica was born to Marcus and Anna Torres and was the second child of four.  She has an older brother named Juan. (But everyone calls him by his middle name Mateo) She also has twin younger sisters named Alejandra and Adelina.  Juan also attended Mrs. Evan's school and her sisters will be attending as freshman this year.  From a young age, Jessica showed great potential with her powers.  She was disciplined and just curious enough to be a magnificent witch.  Both her mother and her father come from long lines of witches and wizards and her parents were so proud when all four of their children were accepted into such a prestigious school.  Jessica was extremely excited when she first arrived to the school, thinking it would be all about learning more about her powers and learning new spells, and learning about old magic.  But she soon realized that was not the purpose of this school.  It would be a lie to say that Jessica wasn't disappointed however once she met all of her current friends, she had no complaints about going to school with a bunch of different magical beings.
