Sheltered and kept away. Life always seemed hectic on the outside world. With humans flitting through their lives unbothered about the world right beneath their noses. And you really thought you knew what they didnโt. But what you didnโt realise was, you didnโt even know the half of it. Growing up from the day you were first born to now in your teens, you thought you were the only one of your kind. Well, you thought that your specific species was the only one that co-existed with humans. But all your false sense of realities came to an end at clockwork. Thousands of teenagers, all in the early hours of the night receiving letters in the post boxes, through their doors. All with a header โMorrican, Institute of Man and Merโ and all sealed with red wax at the back - waiting for your opening.
โMy dearest [insert name],
You donโt know me, but I knew you before you were in the womb. You may be scared, frightened even at the thought of this message. A man out here with the knowledge to your secrets. But what if I told you there was more? More to your bubble? There is. There is history, art, culture and a vast expanse of experience waiting for you at a finger tip my child. You are not alone in your isolation. There are others like you, not others of your species but others who co-exist amongst the humans. A world of people you have yet to learn my child. At the back of this letter there is a box to tick. To tick means to accept a formal invite, an invite to the Morrican Institute of Man and Mer. A chance to learn what life is truly meant for someone like you. You need not send the letter anywhere. I will know when the box is ticked. Just await further instruction.

A letter filled with promise and adventure. Through this letter you learn that your species arenโt the only ones around, there are others like you. And though thousands of years of secrecy have been the norm - Morrican, The Institute for Man and Mer seems to have other plans. An academy, a boarding school opening. Designed to the human world as for those with โailmentsโ, finally an academy has opened to allow teens to learn more about themselves. There are five houses in the school and over twenty extra curricular clubs. Whilst here, you will learn about your own history and most importantly, navigate your relationships with those around you. A story based around overcoming bias but also learning to trust once again.
