Realistic or Modern Moonlight Springs RP

Alexis certainly perked up at the sound of beans. Beans were good. "You have beans? Real beans? Like the ground kind?" She asked nervously. This lady probably still didn't know that she'd basically murdered one of the council men. Probably best if she never found out. "And miss Liz, I don't think I'm a minor... I think it's been a long time. I-I might go home..."

Home? Probably home. The tree was rather nice, even if the police had taken down the sleeping bag and all her hard tied knots. It had been her home for quite a bit now so Alexis was reluctant to simply take people up on this offer. "Do I have to go with you?..."

"Just call me Liz dear!" She said with a smile as bright as the sequin belt on her dress, but then she regained her composture and tried to look serious, at least for the sake of Alexis "Alexis, dear, you dragged yourself in the club in a pitiful state, you were hungry, dirty, and covered in scars do you really want to go back to where you came from?" Asked Liz, trying to talk some sense in the girl. "The choice is your sister, you can go back to where you came from with no guarrantee that you'll survive any longer, you'll also have the humans on your tail..."

Michael noticed that the girl seemed to be looking for the troublemaker that had just run through. "Don't worry about her, Liza and some other woman found her and she doesn't seem to be running away from them so she's fine for now," Michael calmy spoke with a smile as he looked at the signatures of Liza and the girl through the crowd. "Well, if the few hours that I've known her are an indication to her as a whole, then yeah, she always pulls this kind of shit." Michael then noticed that the vampire girl he was talking to looked uncomfortable as all hell, and when she mentioned food, he knew what was going on. "Hey, so, uh, I think I have just the kind of food you want, I think you might like some more special food," Michael tried not to raise too many suspicions, and even smiled. He saw the blue all over her and knew she wasn't alive.

At the mention of food, Adeline's head snapped towards the boy, causing the hem of her shirt to fall. The loss of protection caused Adeline's senses to become overwhelmed all at one.

without realizing it, Adeline had taken a step towards Michael. the smallest hint of her fangs poking out before she covered them up, remembering they weren't alone. "Well" She said . "What type of a woman would I be to turn you down?"

Alexis sort of glared at the ground as she tried to work things out. "But t-that's only because I couldn't find..." She decided to leave out her attempts to go vegan. Beans apparently didn't work very well in keeping her alive, so that was out of the question.

She reached up and pulled Liz's arm so that she would be able to whisper to the older vampire. "And h-he tried something first! I-It was defense! I wasn't hungry..." That was true, the dead guy had basically tried to seduce her and succeeded in scaring her and also dying. Blame him, Alexis's instincts were only mostly a part of it.

Avigayil froze at hearing the voice. She quickly turned around, terror filling her. Seeing the person yelling at her didn't help.

The young man was huge, had to have been at least a foot taller than her. Her eyes widened as she took him in. A hulking mass compared to her frail frame. What has she done to him? She didn't think she had hurt anyone...she hadn't been in town for days!

She knew he was coming towards her, but she felt paralyzed, and didn't even think she could move quickly enough to escape...

Scarlet was never late- until today. She couldn't pinpoint how exactly her little two hours nap turned into five, or how she managed to slip in and out of a shower in just about ten minutes, but she didn't question it as she worked to blow dry her hair and brush her teeth all at the same time. As beta, she figured she was making somewhat of a fool of herself. Everyone knew her of her antics, of how she tended to sprint inside last minute and cry out that she made it on time, but that was most definitely not going to happen this time. The festival had already started and she wasn't even at her post. How embarrassing.

She quickly pulled on a pair of shorts and whatever tee shirt she could find. It was old, with a band name she hadn't heard in years across her chest, but she didn't bother arguing as she pulled on her combat boots and rushed towards the door, her fingers working as a comb through her messy, dark hair. Halfway out the door, she noticed donuts on the counter, and made a quick turn around to pluck one up before rushing outside.

The festival took up most of the town so it didn't take but five minutes until she managed to engulf herself in new sights and smells as she ripped into the donut, chewing quickly as she searched for the W.O.L.F booth. She couldn't see it over the mass of people who all seemed to tower over her, and instead worked her way through the crowd, searching for Margo or anybody else from her team, hoping for a quick briefing and a new task since the first one had probably already been taking care of. Some beta I am, she thought to herself, pushing through the crowd and forgetting her managers as she looked around.

The older male did as he promised, and headed immediately to the toilet. There, after doing his business in the meantime, he quickly headed into the fray. Felix listened, saying no words, as he entered the crowd. he heard many conversations, none of which were the ones he wanted to hear. It was all too open, too innocent, too human. He wanted the problematic stuff, but alas did not receive such. Disgruntled, Felix went back the way he came, back into the other section of the crowd, back to his hunting friend. He went at a normal pace, as if he were some hippie trying to reminisce about the first day he came to the festival as a young boy. He seemed to be lost in his own head, memories running back through his mind like a tidal wave. But to be honest, he cared quite little about this festival. He cared about what he was here to do. Soon, he caught sight of his friend. He flashed a hand to him, raising it above the crowd.

Michael got all red when the girl approached him but somehow managed to keep his cool. "W-well, this way," Michael smiled a little awkwardly before walking in the direction of the club, leading the girl. "Just in case you were wondering, no, I'm not the food I offered," the boy remembered seeing her flash her fangs at him so thought it'd be best to make that clear, "you'll have to come with me to the club for the food, though, i-if you don't mind." Michael avoided looking at her too much but kept the smile on his face so as to seem as friendly as possible. "So, uh, are you new here cuz I haven't seen you before?" "The name's Michael by the way, what's yours?" He extended his hand for a handshake and smiled (albeit less awkwardly).

Looking at Michael's extended hand, Adeline declined. Nodding her head in response. "Adeline." She should've known better than to have thought he was her meal ticket. Her night may not have gone exactly as planned, so why was she expecting it to end on a good note? "Pity though" She said "I was thinking I could bite ya, and we'd become best friends forever. You know friendship bracelets, and pillow fights. But hey, I guess a club is just a good a place to find my bff" Pulling out her last jolly rancher, Adeline once again popped the hard candy. Thankful that she wasn't gonna have to rely it to keep her from ripping into some random persons throat. Even her stomach seemed to agree as it seemed to loosen up. "By all means my good sir. Lead the way."

Liz just hugged Alexis, briefly gently squeezing her just to try to confort before looking at her with a bright smile. "It's alright Alexis, we'll figure something out..." she said before holding the teen hand and turning to face Margo. "She'll stay with us vampires if that is ok... We got enough meal packs for her and an extra bed for her" She said with a friendly smile and waiting for Margo's answer about the issue.

Lukas noticed the girl running back and slid back into the crowd, she bumped into a few more people before finally being caught by two women who seemed to hold some sort of position within the town. "The situation is delicate, but under control for now, at least," Lukas sighed before buttoning up his blazer again and buying something to munch on for the time being from a nearby stand, "I suggest we stick around; whatever that girl was running from, as well as the reaction from some people here, indicates that something big potentially happened." He took a bite and smiled rather inconspicuously so as to not attract any attention to himself from nearby onlookers. "Let's lay low for now, we could remain together or split up if you'd like, but I truly think something happened here."

Margo really didnt want the girl out of her sights, but if Liz was implying whatshe thought she was implying, it was best for her to go to the club.
"Ok liz, go ahead and take her to the club. Let me know if she says anything, ok?" Margo then grabbed james' arm, and dragged him aside.
"So james, what were you saying earlier, about one of the councilmen? I didnt get to hear you with all the commotion."

Felix had nothing but agreement for his compadre's plan. As far as he could garner, his friend had no reason to lie to him. The look on Lukas' face was enough to convince him. He so very badly wanted for there to be something worth his time at the festival, and with that mindset he might as well declare to be a Bigfoot. "Splitting up is probably best for us. Nothing says suspicious like two older men walking around staring at people, nonetheless have them be younger females. The key was to be under the radar, to be the hunters, to be like Hawks: observe but not be seen. "If you see something, call me on my cell. You have my number still, I hope?"

"What? Oh, right. I was walking around town, I know, I know, not doing my job during the commotion. But, I-uh I walked down an alley and found a dead man. Not just any dead man but it was a councilman. I could tell cause he's always on the news and that's the only thing we watch on the TV in W.O.L.F. Well. What I pieced together was that the councilman had scratches and bite marks. Not just any bite marks. but marks from a vampire. I bet that the girl who caused this commotion killed him. Now, why he was in a dark alleyway, I have no idea. You could argue that the girl was only defending herself from a frightening man in a dark alley."

James finishes spitting out the last of his paragraph and has to breath for a second before continueing.

"I think it would be best if we kept an eye on her and her friends. Speaking of which. A girl came up and asked that we would check out near the Twilight Brew. She and her employees have...er...a religion and usually do it outside at night. But because they have been hearing wolves around they moved indoors. Honestly I would bet that their religion is actually some kind of witch cult, but hey this town is crazy."

James then stands and waits for Margo's reply.

The girl finally stopped running which was a good sign assuming it was voluntary and not brought on by fatigue. Up close he realized how much smaller she was. Holding and old looking basket in hand with a partially open flap. Her clothes matched her plain aura cementing the fact that she was a new face on the block. Blue blouse covered with a brown jacket and a brown knee length skirt. Her shoes were well worn and she seemed very nervous.

"Calm down, miss. You're not in troulble. I'm with W.O.L.F. See?" he said pointing at the insignia on his own jacket.

"I found this uhhh ... knife in the woods earlier when I was on patrol and uhh ...." he suddenly realized how odd it was that he'd know where to find her and how to explain his enhanced senses.

"Sooo ... I put in a request and a few of the other booth runners saw you looking like you'd lost something and given how clean the knife was I thought it was likely a recent loss." lying through the last bit he offered a half-hearted explanation.

Then he took the knife out and offered it to her hilt-first.

Scarlet was normally quite observant, but she seemed to be lacking in that area today seeing as she couldn't find Margo or the others anywhere. It frustrated her, and as the gentle heat of town pressed down on her skin, she decided to give up for now, instead heading over to a booth and buying a funnel cake. She wasn't much for eating junk food but something about the rough morning was causing her sweet tooth to make itself known. At least there were fresh strawberries sprinkled over it to make her feel somewhat healthy.

As she began hopelessly wandering without much of a purpose, she found herself delving deeper into the crowds, noticing many familiar faces but also many unrecognizable ones. She sniffed the air, smelling drastic colognes and perfumes intermingling with the faint smell of sweat and food. She found her gait slowing until she had finally stopped, standing near a couple older men and overhearing a small piece of conversation. Splitting up is probably best for us. Scarlet's nose crinkled with suspicion and she turned to listen more closely when a child screamed past her, shoving her to the ground. A second kid ran so fast they hopped right over Scarlet, and she immediately went to shield her face before looking around as the commotion came to a close. Her funnel cake rested on the ground, ruined by the untol germs on the asphalt, and she frowned, thinking about the few bucks she wasted as she brushed herself off, starting to get back on her feet.

Avigayil just stood there for a moment, gawking at the man. Why was he so nervous? He was the one who was bigger, who could probably crush her. She had to force herself not to tremble.

Finally, she reached out and took the knife, her precious knife. It had been her mother's. That was all she knew of her and if she had lost it...

Avigayil spoke in a squeak. "...thank you..." Her voice shook and she looked down. She was never very good with social interaction, and it was boldly showing now.

Slowly, she forced herself to look up at him. He was...actually quite handsome...

The human, as he ventured out to investigate, could not help but notice this presence trip and fall over the very kids he had seen. Felix was not normally a nice guy, but he took pity on this girl, for some reason. And she had lost all of her foods, perhaps four whole dollars buried in the dirt. He would have said something, he would have chased after the kids that would no doubt lead him to understanding what had just happened. But he had faith in his friend that he would take note of those kids and pursue them. For now, this hawk was a ghost. "Was the hay maze too scary for them?" he said, trying his best to make conversation. To him, she was just a normal girl, and nobody could even dare think any different.

Scarlet snorted, shaking her head as she stood to her full height- which wasn't very tall at all- and looked up at the stranger. "Either that or they're playing a fun game of 'let's fuck up the festival'." She shook her head, glancing in the direction they had run off towards. "Man, am I glad I don't have any brats like that at home to deal with." She ran a hand through her hair, her nose crinkling as she realized it wasn't tied up, and quickly moved to throw it in a messy ponytail, before picking up her plate as well as what she could of the funnel cake. "Damn, I really wanted this. Guess my calorie-counter didn't though," she added jokingly, moving over to a trash can to throw the mess away. Normally, she would have let it be, but being part of W.O.L.F meant she had to keep litterers away, even if she was one of them.

She looked back at the man, who had walked over to her and so she supposed it was safe to spark up a true conversation with him since he had started it. "So, where are you from?" she asked, since he didn't look too familiar and Scarlet liked to think she was acquainted with most, if not all, residents of her lovely little town of boring.

"Good idea. See you back at the inn!" Penelope waved goodbye as she grabbed her skateboard and head off. Luckily this time around there was less people to bump into.

As Penelope got farther away from the activities she could feel the empathetic ties loosing, She found herself more curious then anything. What could the head priestess be on the lookout for?

Seems like this little town has gotten way more interesting.

Seeing as she didn't seem intent on asking how he'd done what he'd achieved thus far he let out a breath of relief. The people at the festival were still going strong and it showed. A drunk couple were going into the forest area with a couple of bottles that didn't look anything like fizzy sugar water was in them.

"Better pick those up when you're done with them!" he growled after the couple who were startled at the sudden shout. They stared at him for a moment in non recognition before focusing on his uniform. Most likely they thought he was a cop because they quietly began to backtrack in a more subdued manner.

"Sigh ... sorry about that. You shouldn't head into the forest alone by the way. Especially not that deep unaccompanied." he ruffled his hair while eyeing her grip the knife closely.

"Did you at least inform someone you went into the woods before hand?" he asked but tried to lower his tone a bit in lieu of her timid appearing nature.

Alexis watched as Margo went away not seeming bothered by the fact that she may have just murdered an important man... "Is she a werewolf?" She asked Liz, looking up at her but still not letting go. "Is that why she could smell me? That's kind of scary... A-Are they everywhere!? Does that mean they could find us?! We need to run!"
