Classes, right.
Elythius swore inwardly when he realized he hadn't checked them yet. Ah, priorities, priorities. On the one hand, he could meet the two, people or creatures who may or may not be aware of his presence despite him knowing their's. On the other, he could scout the classes, to make sure of course he did not get lost when they did begin the next day and maybe meet others along the way. Of course, as a dragon he needed to know what he was dealing with, in case combat became a necessity.

It was very, very hard to curb that particular predatory impulse. Elythius didn't intend to try after all.

So Elythius made his way to the main building and past the area of the patio in favor of the classrooms. He assumed that they would be the number beside the particular subject. He always thought that was telling of the difficulty of the subject rather than the location, but again he was musing too much. Thinking of things not relating to what came instinctively almost always brought him trouble.

He was cut off ever so rudely a moment ago... by a dog of all things.

He walked around with his paper in hand, his map nowhere to be seen. The layout was simple enough, all of his subjects on the relative left side of the building. They were the 1st: Math in room 103, the 2nd: History in room 101 and the 4th: Science in room 106, respectively arranged by time. There were other students, too of course, though none of them seemed particularly interesting, or interested in him for that matter. he could live with that, being hounded left and right was something that did irk him, enough to... eat if things escalated too much.

It was when he found himself confident enough to examine the other wing of the school, the one that contained his Witchcraft and Sorcery class in room 111 that something caught his eye, or rather someone. Someone dead it seemed, if the way her presence seemed as 'soft' as those he first met was of any indication. It was female, her strange dress told him as much, and she was either genuinely crestfallen...

Or simply trying to lure him in.

Elythius shook his head, No more Left 4 Dead for me, He thought as he approached, half truly worried for the girl and half anticipating the battle that would take place if she was to behave anything like the witch he killed again and again in a simple, what where they called, picture game or something.

"I do not mean to disturb you, miss, but are you well?" Elythius asked, eyes that shone with every color in the heavens meeting strange ethereal grey orbs.

Mirabel glanced around, unsure of whether to shift back into her human form. The sights and smells were starting to become a bit overwhelming. It was all too much. She was still considering when she suddenly caught the whiff of something sweet on the wind- sugar.

And Swift went nuts.

"HOLY MOTHER OF NATURE, WHERE IS THAT SMELL COMING FROM?!?"
He barked crazily, and then took off in search of the scent. For some reason or another, carnivore Swift had a notorious sweet tooth. It was probably her fault from sneaking him candy when she was young, and now she was facing the consequences. "Swift, wait!" She barked, and chased after him, they ran all the way across the campus, right up to the front of another dorm, where Swift screeched to a halt, right in front of a familiar floating outfit, carrying what seemed to be an easel. Swift buried his nose in the pocket of the jeans, snuffling around.

"HERE HERE THEY'RE IN HERE THE GUY WITH NO EYEBROWS HAS SUGAR IN HIS POCKETS!!"
Swift yelped excitedly. Mira froze, still in her wolf form, embarrassed, unsure of what to do next.

He'd only just stepped out when a dog almost knocked him over. If it even was a dog. You never knew, in a place like this. Anyway, it seemed rather familiar. He stared at it for a moment, then realization dawned -Hey, it's that dog back at office B. The one with Awk's girl. It- no, he was sniffing his pockets and barking like mad, possibly because of his secret stash of sugar cubes. Possibly. He really hoped it was just the sugar.

"Hey, calm down, boy! You looking for this?" He held out a sugar cube, sans wrapper. His own mouth watered a bit- damn, those things were tasty. He'd had one hell of a time smuggling those in. His parents had tried to convert him to xylitol, but somehow, it hadn't been the same. He understood their intentions, sure- how do you treat a tooth you can't see?- but thankfully, Jack had never had a cavity in his life. He'd always brushed his teeth meticulously, ever since the trauma of listening to the screams of some poor sod in the next dentist's chair, a long time ago.

He offered the dog another cube. What breed was it, anyway? A German shepherd? It seemed a bit chunkier than a Shepherd. He didn't really care. "Here you go, buddy. Leave some for me, eh?" He rummaged in his pockets for more sugar cubes- "Come to think of it, I need me some sugar, too."- lifted the piece of paper on his face, and popped a cube in his mouth. There was a crunch. "Aah, feel that fizzle on your tongue! Dangerous stuff, this is. Wreaks havoc on your teeth." He patted the dog, carefully. "Am I even allowed to feed you? Where's your owner, eh?" He looked around, only to see yet another dog, a white-ish one, a few steps away. "That your little lady? You guys out on a date?" Another pat. "C'mon, get back to her. And your owner. Don't you know it's bad manners to keep a girl waiting?"

Mirabel couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Swift being fed sugar cubes by an invisible hand. He crunched down on the latest sweet, and then barked. "I like this guy. He fed me. Maybe he'll pet me?" Surely enough, Mirabel could see Swift's fur ruffling around as he was pet on his enormous head. "Ohh man, that's so nice!" And with that, he got down on the ground and rolled over, showing his furry stomach and wagging his tail. For a wolf hybrid who could act so high and mighty, he could certainly act like a dog.

Mirabel decided that she should at least try to be nice, so in a flash she was back in her human form, dusting a bit of dirt off of her jeans. She approached the guy and gave her nicest smile.

"Hey, thanks for that. Swift can be a bit overbearing when you first meet him. Well, considering he's almost a hundred pounds, it's pretty easy for him to knock people over, so I think he likes you." She paused. "Hey, you're the guy with the green budgie, right? I saw you in the office earlier."

Jack grinned at the sight of the huge dog rolling over. D'awwww. He was about to rub his belly, too, when the blondie from earlier came over. As she spoke to him, he glanced over at where the white dog was. Yup. Gone. He filed that under "interesting possibly-coincidences."

He smiled at Swift. "So your name is Swift, eh? Cute dog you've got here.

Yeah, I'm the guy with the budgie. The name's Jack Hollow, but my friends call me Zero..."
The piece of paper ruffled as he frowned. "...Although I have absolutely no idea why." He stepped forward and shook her hand, pumping it up and down enthusiastically. "Anyway, nice to meet you!"

Mirabel smiled as she saw her hand grabbed with what seemed to be air, but she could nonetheless feel his hand, warm and solid with a strong grip. This is kind of fun, she thought as she shook his hand.

"Thought I recognized you. I'm Mirabel Diavolo. You can just call me Mira, almost everyone else does. It's nice to meet you, too."
She glanced down at Swift, who seemed to be frustrated that no one was petting him, and started to rub his belly. He appreciatively closed his eyes and his left leg started kicking."He's actually a half wolf, half german shepherd cross. But he's a pretty friendly bugger when it gets down to it." She nodded her head toward the easel he was holding. "You're an arts kind of person?"

"Ha, you could say that." He glanced down at his easel. "Yeah, I'm definitely an arts kind of person. Drawing portraits and caricatures is my thing, although I'm also interested in a bit of character design." He flipped through his sketchbook. On each page was a face- blonds, brunettes, green eyes, blue eyes, an assortment of faces, people and sort-of people alike, lined up neatly like a hitman's list.

"...I know, I know, it's sorta weird, people say it's unnerving, and I guess it sort of is, but... Eh. Don't worry,I always ask people before I draw them. Some of 'em even pay me to paint portraits for them. I get to practice and earn money, they get a pretty picture. A win-win situation, right?" He cleared his throat and absent-mindedly fingered his hoodie strings. "Ahem. Er. Sorry 'bout that, I get really passionate on that subject..."

He leaned down and joined Mira in rubbing Swift's belly. "Half-wolf, you say?" Wonder how that happened... "I guess that explains his size." He stared at the sugar cube wrappings in his hand. "How come he likes sugar so much, anyway? I thought sugar cubes were a horse thing."

Aysel's trance was broken by the voice of a guy. She pried her hands from her face and craned her neck to get a better look of the guy. He had shaggy ear length brown hair and the oddest eyes she had ever seen. They were a mixture of every color imaginable and unimaginable. Aysel stared into the boy's eyes longer than she wanted to before shaking her head and replying a bit rudely. "Do you really care or are you just here to laugh in my face."

Aysel remembered the snickers of a few people that had walked by. Some made fun of the "Sad lonely girl" others made fun of her "Weird outfit". She didn't feel like having anyone else make fun of her. At least not today. Aysel stood up and looked at the boy awaiting his response.

@EvilLaugh

"Wow." Mirabel glanced at the pictures, and could see the obvious skill that Jack had. "Hey, no sweat." Mirabel shrugged. "I get the same way about music. And from what I see, you're pretty darn good at what you do." She looked down at Swift, now extremely happy that he was receiving petting from two separate parties. "Well you see, I got him when I was a little kid, and when I had tea parties, I always including him on the treats. Now he has a sweet tooth, or a sweet fang, rather." She chuckled and stood up.

"So, ah, anyway... what's your schedule like? I didn't expect it would be so.... school-y. I mean, I was half expecting it to be like Hogwarts or something."

He watched her as she stood up defiantly, all the while meeting his curious gaze behind a mask of contempt. It did absolutely nothing to hide her sorrow and loneliness, at least not from his eyes. She was angry, she was sad, but most of all she was tired, but of what he did not know. She was still a maiden in distress, and he did start the conversation. It was only fitting he would respond appropriately. "Now that would be rude, calling your attention just to insult you, wouldn't it be?" He stated calmly before taking a shallow bow. "Elythius Ouroborous Draconyx Luneth, at your service, milady." His gaze softened as their eyes met once more. "and the lady's name is?"

Sunday//4:30 P.M.// Outside Classroom 111

"Did you just insult me?"
She answered to the confusion of his long name. Aysel relaxed her position a bit seeing that he wasn't here to laugh at her, "My name is Aysel Eleanor Vang" She gave a small curtsy, a gesture that had stayed with her over the years. There was a small satisfaction of being able to say more than two words without being ignored or laughed at. Aysel liked it. She gave a tiny smile and asked, "Do you have this class?" She pointed at the classroom behind her hoping that she had finally met someone who had class with her.

"That is correct, I have this class and by no means is my name an insult. I was hoping to make myself aware of the layout of the area instead of wander like a lost puppy when the time for classes arrives." He replied gently. It seems I am not the only one to do so. At least the people here still have some commonsense with them. He thought offhandedly as he noticed the small smile on her face. He was correct in his assumption, she was just tired of being ignored. He could not empathize with her, whoever dared to to so to him often found themselves either dead, in his stomach or both. "If I may ask, is there any reason why you selected this class? As one who has passed on, I assume you would prefer studying about the custodians of the after life, Angels, Demons, and the rest of the celestial world. What was the interest in magic?" He needed to keep it going. Let it never be said that he once talked to a lady and left her wanting.

Her guard was now down seeing that she wasn't the only one that was a bit at a loss. He too was trying to find his way around. That was a relief. It was strange, the act of conversation. She had never had much of it, but it seemed like something she liked doing. Flashbacks of her early life came as she saw images of groups of people sitting around her and socializing. Everyone seemed happy and nice. Boy was that image a big fat lie. Hypocrites. All those people in her memories were nothing but hypocrites. She had always been there for them and when she needed them most they left her without a second thought.

The thought was in Aysel's head was interrupted again by the voice of Elythius asking about her choice of class. She pondered about the question for a bit debating on telling him the truth or just making up some random "i needed the credit" excuse. She decided for the former, besides what did she have to loose, she was already dead. "Magic is a very broad subject you know. It's a very powerful art and in the right hands a very powerful weapon. The afterlife doesn't interest me. I'm already there, but the only thing between the afterlife and reality is magic." She said no more hoping that was enough to clue him in towards her reason for choosing Witchcraft and Sorcery.

"Knowledge indeed brings power, but more often than not power brings pain. Conversely, power seems to control everything from the beginning of time until now, to lack it is the meaning of helplessness." He said sagely. That was something he knew all too well. The thought of how many he could have killed when he was feasting on the light filled him with pride, and at the same time, a small tinge of regret than only grew as he spent time on the blue pearl. How many deaths he must have caused if each orb of light he consumed had a jewel like this one? How many lights had he consumed when now, at full strength, he could sip of the clouds of lights as it was a saucer of wine?

He snapped back to reality, "Far be it from me to persuade you against this course of action, but take heed, to those who are not inherently gifted with it, power is a fickle commodity: extremely difficult to gain and yet infinitely more difficult to grasp fully for any length of time. As for those who are powerful to begin with, they would either want more, or nothing to do with it." He cursed himself inwardly once more. One must give first before taking, and answer before asking. "Personally, I lack control of the energies that govern this world. I hope this course may remedy that." He gave his own truthful reason as to why he needed the course himself. Trust was always one of the best foundations for any relationship.

Kina made her way to the dorms, tripping down the stairs and skinning her knee. A few of the kids there laughed at her, and she bit her lip to keep herself from crying and hurried her way to the dorm. She opened her room and threw her stuff on the bed. Turning into a small blue dragon, she flew out the door and flew to a small patch of grass. Dragon instinct took over and she rolled around in the green sweet grass and growled playfully.

Jack felt his face warm up a bit- it wasn't often that his pictures got complimented. Most people usually described them as "Good, but-(add synonym for weird here)." There had always been the "-but". Although, he mentally added, their judgement may have been clouded by his own oddness that hung around him like a cloud. And this was a place where oddities were normal. Or it could be that I'm really good and everyone was just jealous of my mad skillz. He grinned invisibly and stood up a little straighter.

"A sweet tooth, eh? A blessing and a curse! Behind every sweet sensation lies the threat of cavities... Lurking like hyenas! And worse yet is that you always want more..." He popped a cube in his mouth. Cronch. "But they're tasty, so that's alright."

"So. My schedule... Lessee. I got History,Writing, Science, Painting, and Maths... Pretty boring all the way. I thought there'd be something cool, too. I mean, in this kind of atmosphere, how can there
not be? But I guess in the end all that's changed is the way the teachers torture their students... Anyway, how 'bout you? How's your schedule?"

Haruto silently entered the dorms, keeping a careful distance from himself and the other students. He had been forewarned that his powers would still be unstable until the next moon and as a precaution, should refrain from the physical contact of mortals. He radiated the weakest form of divine light but even then it would be fatal to earthly beings. Most did not know but the aura of the heavens could both heal and harm mortal creatures. They can only be exposed to so much pure energy before being consumed by it. This is mostly the reason why his kind were not allowed to meddle in mortal affairs. Of course there were exceptions...

With nothing but a single briefcase of clothes and some necessary amenities, all the Seraph had to do was to place what few belonging's he had under the bed. There was one object he had been instructed to keep on his person at all times. Haruto cautiously glanced around the room to make sure that no-bystanders were left to witness what he would do. After only sensing the lingering essences of life, he slowly slipped what appeared to be a crystal dagger from his right sleeve. It was cold to the touch and pulsed with hidden powers. Haruto held it gingerly in his hands before pulling back his right sleeve and carefully began carving a symbol of the holy seal against his skin. The Archangel had told him that his powers were contained but not his aurora and was warned that his mortal body would grow weak if he did not keep it under control. After completing the mark, his entire body seemed to illuminate with glowing symbols before slowly darkening and disappearing all together.

He wiped the speckle of blood from his already fully healed wound and hid the dagger back into his sleeve. This body had endured much to become his vessel and he treated it with as much respect as if it was his own. He stood up and glanced at the window as it began to creak open. Haruto held out an arm just as a majestic snow white owl flew into the room moments later. It landed onto his extended limb and turned its sharp blue eyes towards the boy who gave it a passive gaze.

"You're not even trying!" It suddenly yelled, pecking at the blondes head.

Haruto didn't even blink at the sudden attack and instead let the bird continue its little tantrum. By the end of it, his hair looked as if it was styled that 'perfectly messy' look.

"Are you done?"

The owl fluttered its wings angrily but remained semi calm at the very least.

"Not even close! For the past month you've done nothing but stay in the manor and now you're not even bothering to make any friends! At this rate Haruto yo--"

"My classes have started"

The bird did not looked pleased at all by being interrupted but reluctantly flew off of the Seraph's arm and onto the window sill.

"Fine...we miss you...
I miss you Haru"

"..."

Seeing no reaction from the boy, the owl took off into the air.

Haruto made his way out of the Male Dorm Building with darkened blue eyes. They still held that other worldly sheen but the shimmer had gone and was replaced by empty nothingness. He walked toward the school building, passing the Female Dorm Building on the way and had a what mortal's call a 'double take' as he spotted a blue dragon (@Juli Zakstyre) seemingly rolling around on the grass.

Mirabel laughed. "You're telling me. All the schools I've ever been to didn't even focus on traditional school topics. They more so taught you how to kill people." Mirabel turned red as she realized how weird that sounded. "Uh, I mean, it was primarily self-defense, and weapons training in passive situations, I learned some politics too..."

Realizing the hole she dug herself into was only getting deeper, she hastily pulled out her schedule, crumpled from staying in her pocket for however long. She smoothed it out over her knee and looked at it.

"Well, I've got Math first- great way to start the day, huh? ...Did you say Writing and Science? Looks like we've got those together... then I've got Music and History. Should be alright, I mean I don't really know what to expect, like I said before, I've never really been to a school like this. I've always had tutors." She tucked her schedule away, and noticed a reptilian scent in the air. She glanced over and saw a blue dragon rolling in the grass. She laughed. "I feel so weird right now. I'm surrounded by all these magical and supernatural beings, and I should be kind of freaking out, but it just feels kind of normal. No one's really judging anyone. At least, I would hope not." She grinned, a little sadly. "Feeling some semblance of normalcy is kind of good."

Kina stopped suddenly sensing a presence nearby. A divine being it was, and she flipped over onto her stomach and took up a defensive position, a dragon crouch, and cocked her head curiously. She wondered if this being was friendly, or if she would have to scorch its hair off. She was not generally a violent person, but she would defend herself. As it was, she preferred talking to fighting, and emitted a curious, inquisitive growl, not threatening, but mostly a.... Protected curiosity.

Jack raised an eyebrow-Killing people? Like Assassin's Creed? AWESOME. He had just enough sense to notice that she seemed awfully embarassed on that subject, so he didn't pursue it. All I know about fighting is how to scare bullies and how to knee someone in the groin.

"I guess it is. I have no idea what normal is like. I mean, look at me!" He extended an arm and laughed. "It's not easy to find 'normal' when you're like this. I'm an abnormal generater! People don't see me, but they definitely notice me..." A sigh. "Still, it's nice to see people who don't give two donkey's asses about my... condition for once. In fact, for once in my life I feel invisible both literally and metaphorically! Everything's so interesting! Magnifique! Fantastico! I can't wait to experience it all!" He laughed again, sheepishly, and petted Swift some more.

"I just hope I survive long enough."

Mirabel laughed along with him. "I guess no one really knows what normal feels like. ..Condition? Jack, what you've got is a super power. How many cool things can you do with invisibility? I bet you're awesome at pulling pranks and sneaking around. And hey, don't worry about surviving. Stick with the right people and you'll do just fine. Isn't that right, Swift?" She said to her pet, who barked in response. "And bite them first before they bite you, right?"

Mirabel gave his nose a playful flick and gave a small growl. "No biting, Swift. ok?" Swift seemed to roll his brown eyes at that. "Fine. Okay. No biting."

Mirabel looked around. "Well, I feel a bit like exploring. You want to come along? Bring your feathered friend, maybe?"

"Sure, why not? Maybe we'll find some secret passages. Y'know, like Hogwarts. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good..." He picked up his easel. "Wait here a sec, I'll bring him." With that, he dashed into the building. When he finally reached his bed, he was panting- easels were heavy. Awk chirped in his birdcage. "C'mon, buddy!" He hastily reached for the budgie and carefully set him on his shoulder, where Awk snuggled in his jacket hood. Invisible fingers scooped up birdseed and jammed them in half-empty pockets. The door slammed as bird and boy rushed out of the stuffy dorms.

Jack screeched to a halt next to Mirabel, panting. "Sorry to keep you waiting... This is Awk, short for Awkward. Awk, Mirabel. Mirabel, Awk." Awk peeped out of Jack's hoodie, playing the ever-so-innocent 'cute dumb budgie' persona- Jack knew he could be a sly old fox when he wanted to be. "He's probably one of the laziest budgies in any universe. I mean, look at this!" He coaxed Awk over on his palm and poked him. Awk blinked, and toppled over gently on his side with a feathery pat. "You think I taught him that? No! He was always like this." He stroked Awk's head, gently. "God dammit, Awk..."

Mirabel chuckled faintly as Jack dashed off, watching the clothes flap in the wind. Swift gave a quiet bark.

"Look at you, social butterfly."
She heard Swift's teasing voice next to her. "And you said you were worried about making a first impression."

"Can it, furball." Mirabel replied, smiling faintly. "I wasn't the one rolling around, begging to be pet. One would think you're entirely domesticated."

"Hey, an opportunity presented itself and I took it." She saw his eyebrow cock. "Maybe you're just jealous because he isn't petting you."

"Stick a tennis ball in it." Mirabel swatted at his head. "One more thing- whatever you do, don't eat his budgie. That'd be very impolite." Swift looked offended, and tossed his head high, looking a bit snobbish. "Me? Eat a budgie? Surely you hold me to a higher standard than that. Besides, I gave up eating fowl after that incident with the emu. Nasty piece of work she was."

Mirabel watched Jack rush back and present the little green budgie, known as Awk to her. "Hiya, Awk. Aren't you sweet?" And as soon as he toppled over, she couldn't help but laugh. "That has to be one of the most adorable things I've seen. Maybe he's secretly an evil genius and he's playing derp to hide the fact that he wants to take over the world.... Or he's just a budgie. That too." She gestured her hand towards the school. "Where to?"

This one's tough to crack, Elythius thought almost impatiently after he had said his piece. It had been two moments since he spoke, medieval time that is, which is roughly 180 seconds.

He contemplated on leaving, really he had nothing holding him down at the moment and since the girl before him waited a few moments too long to reply, he had to assume he was being politely told off. He was all for making friends, this particular girl was a very good candidate since he couldn't really hurt her physically in his rare bouts of anger, still it was very hard to keep a conversation going when her mind was elsewhere. Also Elythius was not the type to give someone his full attention when they did not do so in return.

Time to kill two birds with one stone then."Miss Aysel, I have a couple of... acquaintances or friends of other friends, I happen to be somewhat familiar with in this school. I would greet them after finishing this meager scouting run, you could join me if you like." There, now he could fulfill etiquette's demand and get to know this wonderfully strange creature on their journey. The pair were awfully close, and close together it seemed, and that just made his job a bit easier. Now all that was actually left was for him to wait for the reply. His patience was wearing thin though, so he would politely excuse himself if she met him with silence.

Sunday//5:00 P.M.//Hallways

Without a single word Aysel nodded accepting his offer of joining him and his acquaintances after looking for the classrooms. She too also had a few more rooms to go before actually finishing and the faint smell of food was a good reminder that it almost time for dinner. She looked at Elythius and with a small smile she bowed. "I shall continue looking for classes then. We'll meet for dinner." Aysel have a half turn and continued her walk around the school.

Aysel was very proud of herself for being able to meet someone even if she had ended their conversation rather abruptly, but at least she planned on meeting the guy later with his other acquaintances. Maybe this was a good start. Small baby steps would finally get her to the place she wanted to be, in peace. Aysel roamed around the halls with a new stride of confidence that not even the people laughing at her outfit could damage. Though there was still a question lingering in her mind, could she trust him?
