Monsters Have Pets, They're Called Humans.

[Dolches]

"I won't. I said they 'Might' be able to kill me, under certain circumstances. You saw how little those Paladins could do, the most they did was annoy me." Tero said.

 

[LadyPhantom]

"I really thought that phoenix was gonna drop me when we flew that high..." Kiara said, shuddering at the thought.

 

[Dolches]

"I didn't, and if it did I would've caught you." Tero said, one of his hands pointing to the other five.

 

[LadyPhantom]

"You always catch me with those hands, no matter if I run or fly" she giggled, her head didn't hurt that much anymore now that Tero comforted her.

 

[Dolches]

"Even if you swim, I'll catch you." Tero said, looking out at the Ocean. "It's getting late, want to head into the cave?" He asked, looking back down at Kiara.

 

[LadyPhantom]

"Can you sleep with me tonight?" she asked shyly, reaching out for him as she waited for him to pick her up.

 

[Dolches]

"Umm... Sure." Tero said, reassuring himself that Kiara was an innocent little girl, who didn't know the full context of what she just said.

 

[LadyPhantom]

"Thanks... I get kinda scared at night" she said shyly, averting her gaze. Whenever Tero had tucked her in her exhaustion had gotten the best of her, tonight was different. Tero would be right beside her all the time...

 

[Dolches]

"I think we can stay out a little longer." Tero said. "Hey look! A Jelly Jester!" Tero said, pointing to a large Jellyfish creature in the water. "A Jelly Jester is a monster that comes out of the water every decade or so to show land dwellers it's talent." He said.

 

[LadyPhantom]

"It's huge!" Kiara called out, amazed by the creatures size. "What powers does it have?" she asked, approaching the shores to get a better look.

 

[Dolches]

"As long as you don't mess with it, it won't attack." Tero said. "It can use electricity to amaze other creatures, though it can use it to deadly effect if threatened."

 

[LadyPhantom]

Kiara waved at the creature, giggling as it seemed to wave back. It seemed nice enough to talk to, so she tried to make conversation by telling the monster it was pretty. She could have sworn she saw a blush there.

 

[Dolches]

"We should go back inside, some things on the beach come out only at night." Tero said.

 

[LadyPhantom]

Kiara nodded and returned to Tero, climbing on his hand. Her fear of him had vanished once again and was replaced by trust.

 

[Dolches]

Tero floated back into their cave, the hand holding her and his head going into her cage.

 

[LadyPhantom]

The little girl yawned cutely and smiled softly at him as he tucked her into her bed. "Goodnight..." she murmured, her hand still keeping hold on his finger.

 

[Dolches]

His head floated out of Kiara's cage and went with the rest of his body. He coiled up with his head in the middle.


In the middle of the night, Tero's hand was wiggling around. The wiggling was violent and shook Kiara's bed.

 

[LadyPhantom]

Kiara woke up as his hand shook her bed and she let go of it, looking at it to see what it was up to.

 

[Dolches]

The hand started using different magic, though it was weakened. Tero was likely fighting so hard somewhere, that he forgot one of his hands were with Kiara.

 

[LadyPhantom]

Realizing that she had to get the hand out of her cage if she wanted to survive Kiara tried her best to break the glass. Eventually she used her magic to cast a terra blast, strong enough to break one of the glass walls and release the hand. As it darted off Kiara left her cage as well, she wanted to walk around for a while and get some air.

 

[Dolches]

The hand flew far into the distance, where there was an explosion. It caused the ground where Kiara was at to shake.

 

[LadyPhantom]

Kiara hugged herself, hoping that he wasn't involved in another bloodbath. She hadn't even left the cage as a loud screech from above caught her attention. Another monster, this time a huge ghostly eagle with arms and legs, appeared and went for an attack. The dark presence that emerged from this creature let Kiara assume that this was an unholy monster. Seeing that it would attack her she tried to retreat in her cage, but since one wall was broken it was quite easy for the eagle beast to break the rest and leave huge claw marks on the bed as it grabbed Kiara and flew away with the screaming child in its claws.

 

[Dolches]

Whatever Tero was fighting, It was dead now. Tero flew extremely quickly back to the cave, just to see something fly away with Kiara. Two of Tero's hands wrapped around the Eagle's ankles, another on Kiara.

 

[LadyPhantom]

The eagle creature shot blasts of unholy magic against Tero, its claws tearing his hands open. Kiara tried her best to squirm out of the huge claw, using terra blasts to hit the eagle and make it let go of her.

 

[Dolches]

The scratched hands disappeared from existence as more sprouted from... Somewhere. For each hand destroyed, two more appeared. Tero now had nine hands, all of which latched onto the eagle.
