PSA: so when we start playing obviously we will all need to build our houses, section off our areas, gather food, etc. I'd like us to stick to our roles as much as possible, but of course with the nature of the game this shouldnt be a hard rule. Try not to push into each others activities too much, but of course some amount is unavoidable. Obviously if you need food and have nothing to trade with im not telling you to let your character starve, but later in the game if you need a bow and dont have one, consider trading for it instead of crafting one yourself just for the sake of more roleplaying opportunities!

For instance, I'm going to be playing a hunter/butcher. So i plan on having a chicken pen, and a small wheat plot to feed them. However, so as not to impose on any farmers, ill be keeping those as compact as possible and not raising any other animals, instead trading for other crops and supplies. In other words, ill be trading a lot of food and arrows for things like iron and diamonds to the mining crew. I will also be selling enchanted bows, however that is the ONLY enchanted items i will provide because i have an archery shop, and this leaves the opportunity for someone else to own an enchantment store (selling enchanted books and the like).

You get the idea

Wouldn't a butcher have pigs?

yeah probably, I'm going to be keeping chickens for the sake of arrows because I want it to be a hunting shop as well. I'm going to avoid raising any other animals for the sake of staying in character and hunting for my meat as opposed to raising it.

Ah a man of culture.

I like to keep one loaded as a sidearm to my longbow. Makes a good first quick shot in case anything catches me off guard.

Im hoping our other two compatriants who showed interest on The other interest check join soon but rp is a patient game sometimes.

More like woman of culture, but whatever. Also if your interest is castlevania and Van Hellsing I imagine crossbows tend to be a bit more interesting then a bow. In my opinion

And treeeeehousesssssssssss....

Funny enough those are my two choices as well. Jungle living presents certain challenges other biomes dont have. Way easier to get lost especially in a big one. Hard to move through. Terraforming one with a village of people sounds fun af.

On the other hand, taiga biomes with the snow fit the theme a little better. A log colonial-style fort with a main exterior wall and four gates. Middle of town is the classic market at the crossroads, with the residential district spread throughout.

So I can likely be most active at night. Night being 12-4 am (EST) or 4pm to whenever depending on what kind of shift I work. We can either all try and coordinate around our most active times to at least start together, or pick a day off we all share. I think it'd be nice to play through our initial survival starting experience together, in fact I have a little theme planned.

Upon arrival to the new world we all get "separated." This is to help ease the story into why we might all go and get some basic stone tools and mine for a little while right off the bat. For instance, us homesteaders are going to need buckets to start farms, im going to need tons of string and wood to start producing bows as well as build my shop, our paladin is going to need an iron sword and armor to fill out his role properly. So i propose right at the start we all do some basic mining and then meet up back in the taiga biome "coincadentally" and then get to base building. Ya dig?

Works for me! I have literally nothing to do, so any time works for me.

A swamp also presents a fun challenge, along with slimes (god those things are a pain to find)
I actually fuck with a swamp's asthetic. Using jackolanterns as light sources there just feels right.

Also, I was wondering if you'd be interested in having Galan train elena to master archery once we get crossbows? He's going to kind of be the grandpa of the group being the oldest (so far) and a survivalist so he'll be offering the same to every character, but he might take an interest in elena initially because of her existing talent for it.

He could help her certainly, but she's already quite good at it. Practice is always welcome. Though I feel like our Paladin needs the practice more.

I have tomorrow left and after that I have two weeks vacation
