"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

The weather was beautiful... well... wasn't it always?

Midnight's Last bordered all around her, it's massive buildings towering high above Elliad's head. Lights flickered, but the rays of the light that streamed between the fabricated clouds provided more light that necessary. There was the lively, bustling chatter of numerous users, whether they be players or NPCs. And there, Elliad stood, with a sleepy expression on her face.

She rubbed her eyes a little, looking back and forth. Where did she want to go again? It's not like she typically had a bad memory, in fact, she had a phenomenal one. Elliad learned things quickly, and it didn't take a lot of time for her afterwards to even further understand what she was learning about. But alas, even she had her moments, going into a short daze and forgetting things breifly afterwards. There was a lot to take in, so many users that she briefly analyzed. People that walked by her, slightly shoving her to the side due to the overly crowded environment, people bumping shoulders and pressing against each other, it made her uncomfortable. Of course, Elliad didn't
dislike people, but something about the concept of body warmth, and how when touching something so, alive, you felt this foreign warmth... it made her a bit uncomfortable. Maybe so being the reason she zoned out for a short period of time, just the fact there were so many people. While it could've been a bad habit of hers, she had the habit of analyzing people's faces, taking in their features, seeing what their own strengths and weaknesses could be solely on appearance. People were unpredictable, and it was something that everyone, even herself, had to accept. But by no means should one's appearance and way of presenting oneself define who you are at as an individual, nor pre-determine one's strengths and weaknesses. It was a self-deprecating emotion she knew all too well. Upon the population of diverse people, who among have many different backgrounds and stories. Surely, these people have had rough times. They've cried in their life, and they've laughed as well. Something about that brought a sense of assurity to her. Elliad never thought it would've felt so relieving to have felt so normal.

Sleepily scratching her cheek, she attempted to smooth sdown her hair. Elliad's hair stuck up in all sorts of places, giving her an always bed-woken look. Whether someone could consider it cute or disorderly, it was up to them. Looking back and forth, the feeling of people shoving and pushing against her among the highly populated city center churned at her stomach. Pushing through the crowd of people, a growing look of discomfort on her face, she finally pushed her way past the river of people towards an alleyway, leading to a different part of the city. Very few people traversed it compared to main roads, and she had already exerted so much energy into simply cutting through it. With her hand up against the wall, Elliad panted tiredly, a rather ill paleness to her face. She looked pretty sick, but at least she was away from the people. Blankly having her gaze set to the wall as she caught her breath, Elliad did her best to regain her composure and stop the frantic, pressured beating of her
heart. She didn't hate people, no, not in the slightest. But there was so many, the buzz of conversation growing louder, softer, a repetious noise that was still so different. Midnight's Last was definitely not the place that she should have checked out first. Especially with so many players... the risk was a little too high.

Necalli had always felt like Midnights Last held its own enchanting presence, the slithering vines which ventured the cracks of the antiquated buildings exterior alluring in their unpredictable patterns while they only posed but a small portion of the overgrown garden which was their new mystic land. The stone of the walls, though aged, filled the air with unspoken tales and lessons as if an experienced elder. The scent of the swaying greenery and tender sweets filtered through the fluid air and floated with the winds motions above the crowd the white haired young man had escaped the clutches of.

The whimsical scenery and vibrant colors played with Necalli's vision as his blue eyes playfully darted around the bustling street in search of new wonderius sights which the loud town provided with such natural ease. The stray leaves drifting from their branches were a shower of life during their descent within the courtyard causing a long forgotten memory to resurface within the young mans conscious. One he hadn't pondered in recent times despite the comfort it provided with each of its appearances. A blurry image of his mother became clear as the bundle of memories fell into motion.

Though just as lightning it fell beneath the surface of his conscious with great pace while the heels of his shoes grounded themselves into the cobblestone beneath him which sparkled with stray dust.

Necalli considered himself to be a rarity within the game, an individual who hadn't yet found reason to detest the lifestyle he had formulated for himself within the game. One who, with time, adjusted comfortably to their new surroundings as he discovered naturally there wasn't much within his power that would alter their circumstances.

As the wind trailed it's invisible hands along his hairline, it's fluent fingers fiddling with his iridescent strands he spared a moment to gaze behind him to discover another soul.

Necalli analysed her appearance dubiously, absorbing the messy mop of green hair that possibly was the home of a bug or two along with her fashionably disorganized exterior. His brows momentarily knitted into one another before discovering her ill expression.

The young mans robes fur trimmings irritated his neck while he risked a bundle of steps near the young women, his staff performing as a third leg as his steps lacked a steady rhythm, contrasting his puttering heart.

"Sorry, but, are you dying?"

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

She was finally managing to get herself back together! Elliad took a few deep breaths, but just as quickly, she heard someone not too far behind her.

"Sorry, but are you dying/"

Elliad spun around quickly with her hands held out in front of her face, as if saying
please don't hurt me I'm broke, accompanied by a surprised "Eep!". Her eyes managed to run over... uh, a body. Raising her head a little, her eyes finally met with those of a solemn looking man with formal, prince-like attire. His eyes appeared as light as his hair, and overall, Elliad summarized him as someone that looked awfully pretty. Staring at him, it appeared that she zoned out, staring blankly for a few seconds. He had pretty physical features, tough he was tall, well, at least much taller than he was. With his appearance, he appeared as someone who may have been immodest or at least clamarous. Build wise, he wasn't someone who looked like a very tank-like character, or someone who was fond of battles. But she couldn't judge anything on first appearances.

"E-er..."

Elliad's forehead creased, bringing her head down. It wasn't a sad gesture, it genuinelly looked like she was trying to think. Piecing words together in her brain, her expression appeared a little bit, empty, but nonetheless, she finally managed to come up with what she wanted to say.

"... thank you, I'm alright! I just recently came to Midnight's Last, and I'm not used to the occupancy of so many players. The player capacity of this area is logistic... I wonder how they accommodate for all of them..."

Elliad quickly began to trail off near the end, but it seems she realized, bringing herself back. Smiling, she clapped her hands together, bringing her connected hands towards her mouth in almost prayer, it seems.

"Your hair is pretty. How do you take care of it so well?"

It, definitely was an odd thing to inquire. Elliad's head cocked to the side in curiosity. She had seen numerous players, but none really wanted to approach her. It was usually her approaching others and asking, and being herself, it typically didn't lead to all well-rounded interactions. Her naivity to the real world and her curiosity made her seem childish and weird to many she approached, so given the chance to learn something, she was going to use it. Unaware of the bluntness of her stateemnt, her expression seemed earnestly curious to know.

The voices which enveloped either end of the corridor they occupied fell against the concrete walls which cradled their bodies; the audio waves falling into one another and jumping from wall to wall around the two, turning the once simplistic task of difrentiating different tones and voices into a difficult one as they melded into one another to develop a graceless drone of countless conversations and questions.

Necalli paid no mind to the excess notice until an abrupt cry of surprise interfered with such a static sound, triggering the young mans eyelids to widen, his spindly eyelashes which were similar in appearance to a spiders scuttling legs fluttering for a stray second with an unspoken shock as the rest of his form grew tense.

Was his voice frightening? Was his cousin right when she said that he sounded like their grandmother? If so, did the stranger before him have a fear of grandmas?

As Necalli recovered from his brief hysteria he observed the others instinctive pose and strayed from furrowing his brow with displeasure as she had seemed to find his gesture to be at first, a negative action. The young man raised his left hand in preparation of expressing his innocent intention when it appeared the young women may have inferred so herself.

They stood in a soft silence for a few breaths and he attempted to not notice the green haired women's wandering gaze as they stood a fair distance from one another. As Necalli observed her silence a small hypothesis was gradually formed within his consciousness. One which inferred that her disheveled styling could possibly be a course of action which was meant to hide the analytical nature of her eyes which sparkled within her. Necalli was entertained by the thought, one which predicted that the women was far more then she appeared.

" ... Thank you, I'm alright! I just recently came to Midnight's Last, and I'm not used to the occupancy of so many players. The player capacity of this area is lagistic ... I wonder how they accommodate for all of them..."

Necalli's right hand smothered the top of his cane as the tips of his fingers danced a top its edge without a trace of thought. He nodded his head in understanding as his pale lips stretched timidly to return her kind smile, or more so, her cute smile. It fit her face well and caused him to question if there was an art to smiling and if it could cure his awkward attempt at a grin.

"Your hair is pretty. How do you take care of it so well?"

Without his minds regard Necalli's gaze widened tremendously as his eyebrows nearly shot upwards into the atmosphere as he was greatly taken aback. With a gloved hand he placed it against his chest and leaned slightly from the women as he made no intention to recover himself.

"I-..." Necalli needlessly attempted to form words before retrieving his previous composure and returning to as he stood before, his eyes adventuring each direction for a moment before returning his attention to the complimenting stranger. "Are angels a part of this game? Wow, I just..." The modest man took in a soft breath before continuing with a slightly more giddy tone. "Thank you very much, all I do is put some oils in it when I'm done washing it. I'm close with one of the stand owners down the road so I get some extra whenever I go buy some. I never use it all."

Necalli's front tooth gently knawed upon his lower tooth, grinding the plush flesh between his teeth before speaking again,
"but of course that's not my number one method, that's a secret." His voice grew hushed as he completed the statement as if convinced there were such bandits that existed which were after his personal technique of hair care, "but I'll give you some oil if you'd like."

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

Elliad's expression returned back to it's typical stiffness, though it was obvious she was listening intently to what he was saying. In contrary to her expectations, he appeared much more modest and reserved than the arrogance she had previously expected. Him referencing her as an "angel" stirred up something slightly melancholic to her, and she briefly brought her gaze away. But it was obvious through his tone and body language that he had good intentions. She had approached many arrogant players, and there was always the iconic look that a lot of them shared, one being similar to the young man in front of her. Though nonetheless, his tone was gentle and calm, maybe even with a playful twist as he lowered his voice to speak more about his methods. Elliad's eyes appeared to have that "sparkle" to them as he spoke. The thrill of learning was the best thing of all to her, and while it seemed to eb a childish aspiration, it didn't take her long to easily comprehend and understand situations she previously hadn't understood. Oils, what oils do some people sell... I'm not too familiar with things regarding physical appearance, especially since I never appeared to take much importance to myself. Aside from high heels, everything that Elliad wore was a mix of comfort, "what fits on me today", and luckily for her, it held quite a bit of formality to it.

His "number one" method to say was a secret, and that made her even more curious. Luckily for many, her emotions seemed to easily express on her face, her eyebrows dropping with frustration and a pout carved from her mouth.

" I'll give you some oil if you'd like."

"Oh, I don't take care of my hair all that often. Sensibly, I just want to get it out of my face. But I'd like to learn otherwise!"

Elliad's expression immediately softened and lightened, and her curiously childish demeanor returned to her. While she was hesitant, it was a refreshing feeling for someone not to ignore her, and moreover, actually give her a proper response to one of her questions instead of brush her off and simply say "It's simple, how could you not know?" Leaning forward a little, Elliad nonchalantly pressed her finger against his chest. But to her slight disappointment, the heat of a "player" as vestige of their in-comatose life was present. Drawing herself back, it seems she had spoken her thoughts out loud.

"Warm, huh," she briefly started. But soon after that thought, she felt a sharp pang in her head, Clutching her head tightly, there appeared to be a "glitch" like effect that momentarily ran over, but it was so fast that it easily could have been a mirage caused by the heat of bustling bodies not far from where they stood. At least it wasn't as crowded. In games, when there's a lot of players when maximum capacity is hit, the game begins to unload NPCs and other game-objects in order to make room to load the players... so... at least this alleyway isn't as crowded. But that means that someone else has to be here... right?

@Hauvlex @Yuuki Kagami (mentioned)

Geno Naito

She watched the sky for a while. Looking at the Highly detailed clouds. They seemed as if they were stole straight out of reality. She noticed that one of the persons she was waiting on for a greeting suddenly held her head. She got worried and though something could have happened so she quietly said
"Hey, You okay?"

Necalli Rue

Necalli discovered entertainment in observing the others facial expressions as they ventured from one emotion to another without much bare room in between. The rawness and expressiveness was appealing and something which he hoped to be the next trend in their new devious world which was crafted with lies being a common casualty.

When she commented on her hair and her disinterest with its care Necalli feigned understanding as he mentally questioned why one wouldn't want the sensation of feeling clean to an intense degree. He was greatly aware of his ponytail as it cradled the nape of his pale neck and tumbled down the inner portion of his shoulder like tranquil waves.

With his fingers quickly tightening their grip on the head of his cane for a flashing moment he held the intention to ask the other if she would like for him to braid her hair or if she would like a band similar to his own which would help her with the task of putting her hair away when quizzically he felt a pressure against his rib cage.

With a raised brow Necalli watched as the stranger prodded his chest before retreating back to where she stood. Did he have something in his shirt?

"Warm, huh,"

Necalli's lips puckered somewhat in question and wished to voice his thoughts when without warning the girls hands had made home within her bush like hair. The young man stepped forward in a frantic manner even though the air of space between them hadn't been very big in size to begin with.

The dirt beneath their feet sprinkled the sides of his white shoes and grinded beneath his actions as he spared a hand forward to caress the young women's shoulder though he knew he should ask before touching someone, especially a girl. His grandmother had been quick to teach him that lesson after he had poked his eldest family member to get her attention, he swears that his hearing only recently recovered from that traumatic event.

"Hey, you okay?"

Necalli looked up with sensible alarm as the new voice alien to him spoke and he discovered a new face to accompany it, with the inability to detect any malicious intent he returned his worried attention to where it had laid before.

"Yeah, are you? Do you have anyone I should try to get a hold of?" That was a stupid question, they'd be with her if she did. "What do you need? Need anything?"

@Entarriance @Yuuki Kagami

Inori Nakamura

Inori closed his eyes as he tried to let the thunk sound as feet hit the cobblestone wash out the sound of his own heartbeat. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Rubbing his hands together as he tried to drowned out the voices and laughs around him. He didn't like crowds at all.Giggle after laugh followed by smiles. It really made his mind swirl with new ideas and his hands twitch as he wanted to run away.

"I shouldn't have come." He mumbled to himself as he took steps away as his headache became worse with laughs. Ha-ha-ha was all he heard followed by the melody of soft, tough and loud sounds that represented words. All he wanted to do was scope out some teammates and be on his way from this all too pressing environment. Rubbing his temple as he kept on walking. He would much prefer Xspeced over the crowded town of Midnight's Last. At least there people had some common sense. Where people hid and minded their own business. Where it was quiet when someone didn't scream, when someone didn't lose a battle... when things weren't taken too far. Wincing, he shook his head to clear any strange thoughts that seemed to seem better by the moment.

"Yeah..." His lips smacked together as he came to a decision to cool down. Eyes giving each person a glance before strolling off at a leisurely pace as he hoped his patience would last. Patience. Breath in. Breath out. Breath out. Breath in.

"Warm, huh," He heard rather than saw someone say before he continued on his way. Warm, huh? That was a strange way of putting it. Warm, huh. Warm...huh...the words playing on repeat as a part of him grinned awkwardly at his curiosity while the other kind of needed some quiet. A lot of quiet. Ba-dum. Ba-dum. Ba-dum-tsh. Ba-dum.

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

Taking deep and cautious breaths, she felt something oddly warm rub her shoulder, most likely out of concern for her sudden cephalagia. What the young man would have most likely noticed is, well, in comparison to a lot of other people, her body temperature was noticable much colder. Not to like a completely inhuman extent where she felt like metal, but it didn't bear the subsisting warmth that many other users exhibited with their game-like forms. Luckily for her, her inquisitive and investigative personality made up for that, and not a lot of people really bothered to touch her. Elliad kept her distance from others physically unless they interested her enough. Let's see, where's the new area? I need to get to a point where there aren't enough users that it would begin to unload unecessary objects in order to make up for the space. This is an awfully populated location...

"People...?"

Well, that came out wrong. Mentally, Elliad thought she gave a much more detailed description on how the young man, and the foreign voice she had been unable to see yet detect had offered. But it simply came out as awkward mumbles, and eventually, just people in a questioning tone. Luckily for her, people come and leave the city's center from their quests, so as long as she wasn't present late at night, she'd make it through. She pointed in the direction that she had originally intended to go before the man had inquired about her health, and she opened her mouth. But for some reason, Elliad's mind had blanked, and she found it hard to work out the words that she had wanted to say. Briefly hesitating, instead, she pointed in the same direction a few more times. Elliad's previously aloof expression had been replaced with one of slight desperation and discomfort. Her eyes wandered around frequently, as if looking for something, maybe worrying about something?

"... unload.."

The same odd glitch would distort her figure once again, Elliad bit the inside of her cheek, awkwardly shuffling a few steps forward, tugging at the sleeve of the hand that had briefly rested on her shoulder like a child. If it wasnt obvious at this point, it seemed she was insisting that he'd come along. While it typically wasn't her intentions to be a burdern to others, simply engage in short conversations and never see said user again, it simply was the embarrassment that their entire conversation appeared to be cut short by her nature of existence, and it irritated her. Plus, further down the alleyway, it would lead to the numerous households of the city and not the Plaza/Marketplace. Where the househelds were, there were more players who simply looked for easy quest to gain items, instead of the bustling life of players meeting one another and shopping for supplies, or looking for more serious missions with their team. As long as he didn't ask, she didn't have to explain anything, but if he does, Elliad would have a better chance of explaining when she wasn't being nullified. And hey, maybe she'd learn how to actually braid in the process! Priorities, right?

@Hauvlex @Yuuki Kagami (mainly mentioned but hinted at)

"Aah! Another beautiful day in the city of Midnight City!" Virgo said to himself, walking through the crowd with gusto, cape flapping in the breeze behind him. Although the little vigilante didn't really understand why he couldn't log out, he still had to admit, everything about this city was just...GAH! He couldn't even find the words! A big smile slowly creeped up on his face, and he couldn't help but skip! Nothing could ruin his mood!

Ding!

"HARK!" Virgo suddenly yelled, stopping as a window appeared in front of him. "An alert!" With a gasp and a grin, he tapped the tab, causing it to open its contents. Virgo leaned in and cupped his chin. "Lets see here...'Dear resident, you have been evicted from your apartment due to your inability to pay your daily rent of 300 Gold'." Virgo blinked and stood straight, standing there, not saying a word. After several minutes, he shrugged and closed the tab with a grin. Missions for his level were quite scarce this week, but he'd find one! All he had to do was find an NPC with the appropriate quest! How hard could that-

-

"...How did I get here, again?" Virgo wondered, walking down a more secluded part of town. He honestly didn't know how he got here. He was pretty sure he took the right way. The NPC'S here didn't look like they have quests...but maybe some players had a quests he could take, maybe even join! But who would looked like they had a quest. Virgo hummed, looking around before he spotted two people. Shrugging, Virgo tightened the knot holding the cape around his neck and walked over to them, but grin and bright eyes unconsciously appearing.

"Hello, fellow citizens!' Virgo waved. "My name is Virgo Capri, Defender of JUSTICE!" He exclaimed. It had became a little habit of his to introduce himself like that. "I am in search of a quest! Would either of you happen to know where one is? Or better yet, have one I may join?!"

@Entarriance @Hauvlex (My starting posts always have mistakes, so please tell me if there's any.)

Necalli Rue

Apprehension creeped along the exterior of Necalli's skin, clinging to the soft surface as if a second layer as his concerned grasp on the young women's shoulder didn't dissipate, alike to his willingness to assist the others health with the intention of improving their state. What had been an expression of a child's jovial persona had been demolished and devoured by anxiety and she appeared to be mentally drowning in a perplexing matter he couldn't detect with merely his vision.

Thin crows feet accessoried the outer edges of his eyes as his lips pressed into one another to form a thin line of distress, his ears hearing the young women's verbal attempts at forming words but unable to dechiper her mumbles except,

"People?..."

A weighted sigh tickled his lips as his mind worked to understand her mannerisms and lack of words. Were strokes possible in a game? Sure, the game was impressively realistic but, it's still just a game. Necalli's thoughts were hectic until the green haired young women's weak but determined pointing towards the way he had entered interrupted his puzzled mind.

"...unload.."

She took the action to move foreword and with such Necalli felt the others slender hands grasp at the fabric which clutched to his skin in a childlike silence. For a brief moment the young man thought of his cousin and how she would do the same whenever they'd be traveling to her room in the dark.

With such a thought Necalli took a fast breath and regained what composure he could. It appeared she had the intention to travel towards the household district of Midnight Late and with such he was struck with an idea which should have come to his mind before. Though before he could voice his remarks an individual which he didn't recognize approached them quite abruptly, exclaiming about quests. With the others abundantly clear remarks and booming tone Necalli's index finger gave a single thump roughly against the head of his cane, a quirk which if one paid attention to it could tell that it were a sign that he was growing irritable. It was a small habit which he had subconsciously grown accustomed to doing.

"I am positive that there are plenty of quests within the market, I know Wendy who owns, "Posies and Potions" just down the bend is always looking for someone to do a quest and I'm sure someone will accompany you if you go. Now, would you please excuse us?" Though it wasn't evident in his tone the pace which he spoke at quickened and his annunciation grew clearer, such being indications to his frustration. As he completed his remark he returned to the green haired stranger which he intended to help.

"My home is nearby, whatever is happening, I have a better chance of helping you with some of the items I have there." For a moment Necalli tampered with the idea of picking the girl up though he could hear the yelling of his grandmother in the distance. "I really should have had everything on me since there is never a dull day here. Would it be easier for you if I pick you up?"

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

Well, Elliad and just the overal feeling of human warmth made her feel a little anxious. But she felt something approaching, and the moment thata boisterious young man with a cape made his way toawrds where he stood, the overwhelming feeling in her head concentrated on the arrival of so many people began to cause a tearing feeling. If nothing is going to happen, she might as well bolt to a location without as much space, or the programming of the game would be enough to tear her apart. There are also quests near the householding area by either programmed NPCs, or people who are merely seeking supplies and anyone to find those supplies. The marketplace holds many higher-class and official weappons, and it really depends on one's preference... is what she wanted to comment on. The thoughts formed in her head, but she found it hard to properly word them out, especially in her current state. As the young man she had met earlier began to discuss with the newcomer, a blurry of thoughts spurred and traveled among her head like binary and code. Elliad knew that it meant something, or it was something that she knew, but it didn't seem like super crowded locations was where she was very comfortable at.

"My home is nearby, whatever is happening, I have a better chance of helping you with some of the items I have there. I really should have had everything on me since there is never a dull day here. Would it be easier for you if I pick you up?"

"Pick you up" was a set of words that she wasn't used to. But there was enough context to it for it to make sense to her. It wasn't like Elliad was concerned or embarassed by that, but rather whether or not that would become more of a burden than a problem-solver. Nonetheless, from the way that he had phrased it, it appeared that it would have been quicker for him to carry her. He was much taller than her, and well capable of carrying the not-too powerfully built Elliad. Nodding her head in agreement, she raised her index finger as if to try and comment something, a strained grin over her face.

".... Elliad..!"

The exclamation that would have seemed much more energetic seemed to be slightly delayed, possibly at the fact that some of the words she had intended to stay weren't said. If this guy's going to try and help her out, than might as well vaguelly introduce herself. All she needed to do right now was get away from the populous influx of users near the Plaza, which was disrupted her ability to function. The housing area wasn't far, and perhaps the young man had more to do than merely converse with her. The bustle of the city was always fun to experience as long as she wasn't directly in the middle of it.

Necalli Rue

When the other issued him an affirmative nod with a quaking smile the young man issued her his own personal rendition of a grin, one which remained small and timid though it was a symbol to express joy, not quite impressive when beside hers. Mentally he imagined the several ways he could pick the other up, his gloved hand retreating from her shoulder to his side for a moment as he recalled them.

There was the possibility of throwing her over her shoulder like a rag doll just as fireman would though he doubted that would be a comfortable position for her. His disapproval for the idea was only further enforced as he observed that she was dressed in a skirt. Necalli couldn't carry her bridal style, what if people assumed things. He wouldn't want to do that to her.

Finally he thought of the good ol' fashioned piggyback ride which should have been the first to cross his mind. Memories of giving those who he would babysit piggy back rides came to mind. They would always hold on tight...to his hair.

"....Eliad..!"

As he made the mental decision on what would be an appropriate choice of carrying the green haired women he heard the others remark and for a moment only gazed at her until he realized what she was telling him.

"Oh!" A spindle of fur from the cape which was drenched around his shoulders tickled his nose, causing for his face to scrunch up a moment as he turned around and indicated for her to climb aboard with the innocent motions of his hands. "It's nice to meet you Eliad, is this usually how you meet people? Anyways I'm Necalli Rue."

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

"Is this how you usually meet people? Anyways I'm Necalli Rue."

Time to add that to the numerous dictionary of names that she had. At least she had a moment to remember with this one, instead of simply overhearing a conversation. And who knows how many times that had happened before. The harmless motioning of his hands signalled to her on the way he would carry her, at least apart from the numerous of ways that he could have. Seeming to bear slight reluctancy, Eliad finally convinced herself that it was for a good cause. Her cause, but a good cause! Climbing onto his back, there was a few brief awkward seconds of her struggling. Even with her height, it seemed to take her a little bit just to get herself properly on, half-strangling him unintentionally by accidently wrapping an arm around his neck in her own attempts, but luckily she learned soon enough that
doing that could potentially cause strangulation, coming to the conclusion that it wasn't a good idea to use Rue's neck as leverage. Fortunately, for him, she didn't seem to want to pull on his hair. Though maybe it was just as bad that she was more fascinated with the fur lining of his cape than anything else. Disregarding his earlier question, her previous weakness appeared to disappear and her eyes lit up in fascination at it up close, which shouldn't have been as astonishing as she seems to be making it out to be. One arm kept her on his back over his shoulder, though the other was curiously poking and tugging on his cape.

".It's. ...! Soft! Doesn't..... get hot??"

With an awkward arrangement of words pressed together, Elliad seemed satisfied with tugging on the fur lining of the, almost like she was convinced that it was still alive.
It's particularly fine clothing, too. He probably got this from the plaza, or maybe it was just his given clothing? It looks awfully expensive for starter clothing, they just give you basic leather armour... but maybe it's just the fact that people are getting trapped here. Yeah, that's a trend I've been realizing, but there's this weird aura of formality around him a lot. Well, as they say, don't judge a book by it's cover. Or was it cover by the book?

Necalli Rue

Necalli attempted to not falter in his footing as the other began to gracelessly climb onto his back, teetering with certain motions only to fortunately regain his balance as it had been before he focused his power into not falling. But for a moment he couldn't help his loss of formality as Elliad's arm made refuge around his neck and caused a quick snort to voice his suffocation to crawl out from his throat before the other recovered along with the young mans once steady breathing.

The familiar chill which had graced his fingertips upon contact with the others shoulder fell upon his neck each moment she'd occasionally graze the revealed skin. He wondered whether she was ill in the sense that she may be having cold flashes though once more he regarded the obvious fact that they were within a game and that such a thing as illness wasn't something which should be possible.

When she appeared comfortable upon his back, Necalli slowly stood before beginning their adventure outside of the alleyway in the direction which she had averted his gaze to earlier. As he ventured along the roads, pardoning himself and issuing apologies where they belonged Elliad's poking and prodding of his coat became known to him.

".It's..! Soft! Doesn't...Get hot?"

The way she spoke had grown to be off putting as he contemplated her health but with such thoughts he chose to not allow his concern to etch itself into his tone. Instead he found it easier to issue the other an airy chuckle, the sound rolling off his tongue as he found humor in the young women's whimsical like response.

"Actually it doesn't fortunately or else I'd be dying on a sidewalk somewhere probably." Well that's morbid, Necalli remarked to himself before continuing, "it's charmed to read the users surroundings and adjust to their body heat. I was stupid enough to get the last hit during a battle once and I got it. I got a matching hat with it but it actually looked like a dog I once knew and I did not want to wear my neighbors dog on my head."

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

The farther that they got from the center of Midnight's Last, the "better" that she felt. At least little parts of her stopped glitching out and breaking this reality, and the splitting pain in her head that she had previosuly felt passed over. Her inquisitive curiosity seemed to come back to her, ocassionally pointing out little things that she saw around them while on his back along the way, like "look at the catepillar over there", or "that bird is a hybrid and bound to die within 7 hours due to it's flight pattern, which shows it's injury". It was weird on what she noticed, some were obvious but typically something you wouldn't see to often in the city, but outside of it. other times, it was impressive on how quick she was to notice small things that typically shouldn't have been noticed before, like a scorpion camoflauged to a tree. It was like having an extremely weird enthusiastic tour guide on his back.

"Actually it doesn't fortunately or else I'd be dying on a sidewalk somewhere, probably. It's charmed to read the users surroundings and adjust to their body heat. I was stupid enough to get the last hit during a battle once and I got it. I got a matching hat with it but it actually looked like a dog I once knew and I did not want to wear my neighbors dog on my head."

Pausing briefly to gather what she wanted to say, at this point, her health was perfectly fine that she was really just recieving a free ride. The plaza was a place that she should start avoiding in the middle of the day, that's for sure.

"Don't die, that's unhealthy. Ooh, your cape sounds comfy! What's it's classification? Is it a rare item? Does it lower to a point where you could dive in ice-cold water and it'll somehow heat up, wait, hmm, that's not likely since it's torso equipment, and there's a set and stuff..."

She stopped briefly. Elliad tried to imagine what she could of, well, neighbors. It was an unfamiliar term to her, but she did know that it was someone who lived close or nearby where someone else lived. With the consideration that in both reality and this world, she never really had a home, it was an interesting thing for her to try and imagine. Could it be like in stories where there had to be the unfortunate factor in whoever the main character is, and it's filled in by the precense of some grumpy, moody neighbor? Maybe they're jealous of them? Life wasn't completely like a storybook though, and Elliad pouted at that realization.

"Hmm, if your neighbor had a dog, I'm sure they were a super nice person! They have dogs and wolves and stuff in this game too, but you need to be an animal tamer or something. I don't have enough skill points for it..."

It was funny, since while it made sense that what happened in this world really "happened", she spoke so seriously about it, as if it was her actual reality. Though her quickly growing verbose was an indicator that at this point, she was just hitching for a free ride. At least she was light enough.

Inori Nakamura

Inori let out a breathe of relief as he listens to the chatter of his current teammates while curling against a tree as the group had decided to take a break after clearing the area. The light tinker of the forest music playing in his head until fading and returning rarely as if to remind him that it was there. Ba-dum.BA-dum.

"Are you alright, Ri. You seem a little out of it." Questioned the girl in front of him as she bent down to brush a hand over his forehead which made him jerk as if stung.

"I'm fine. Sorry, you.. surprised me." He rubbed at his knuckles while stuttering, his gaze fixated on the others dagger. A blush coming forth as he tried to hide his embarrassment when the girl just giggled at him for getting caught. "It's nothing a little..." Therapy he thought before instead mumbling, "Rest can't fix. I'm not used to fighting monsters."

The boy wasn't really sure why his head wouldn't stop pounding followed by the heartbeats. It never bugged him before but for some reason, he didn't like it though he wouldn't say so because that was rude.

"Hey you think you can show me again." She stopped to ask before her teammate came over and gently bonked her head with an exasperated grin that spoke volumes of his thoughts. Ren was patting him on the back? It was Ren, Kai and Yugi, right? Ah, it would be rude if he didn't know the names.

"Hey, um, R..en. It's really no problem." He responded as he raised up his hands complacently as if to the tame the beast.

"You indulge Yuko too much, Ri." Sighed Ren with a raise of his hands which made him flinch before widening his head as he head was grounded with a fist. "But... that's why I'm happy that you came with us. Even if you were a little awkward at first."

"It's not really a bother though. If... you don't mind."

"You...really need more confidence. I remember when you were crying earlier because you didn't have enough coins for a pastry."

"It hurts. My head."

"Don't cry about it. Be a man."

"I don't want to." Whined Inori as he tried to get out of the Ren's hold only to be rescued by the one now dubbed 'Yuko' rather than 'Yugi'. His mind conjuring the words d-d-d-duel before he laughed while Yuko gave Ren a victorious, smug look.

"Now come on. Show us. Please, please, please." She sprang at him as she wiggled her fingers at him menacingly before being given a piece of cooked rabbit by Kai.

"Now you know what words you must say. How could you forget, Miss never forgets anything?" Kai sighed as he placed down his book and nodded to the other three as they all lifted up their hands. "It's kind of like a marriage vow. No, it pretty much is one."

"To death do we part." They stated to unison with Ren looking at him strangely after this declaration, Yuko gazing everywhere but directly forward and Kai just looking the same as normal.

" Now your permanently part of our little party, Ri. You better bet that you're like a little brother now... starting now!" Ren huffed at having to say something so humiliating but it did look like Ri was more relaxed.

"One for all."

"And..."

"All for one." Declared Inori a little louder then usual as he felt somehow lighter. Thunk. Thunk. Ba-dum. Thunk. "Dessert are very essential for survival. The greatest of health potions. Even without the healing effects.." Black pearls gazing at the skill called 'Flock' as he powered it up slowly and ever so delicately with a chant under his breath. "Get ready for something surreal. Almost as good as the sight of iced cinnamon buns.Flock." A special skill, a mysterious skill that he found in his possession and so far, no others. Thank goodness.

Tiny white birds began to flutter around as they became tangible instead of what was once only available to his sights. Pieces so white, so bright and so warm. But most of all, so cold and oh so safe.

'I want to be with my brother, Kai.' stood on the log screen with the name Raiden F beside it. The others were smiling as he tried to curl his hands together as he watched Yuko approach. A look of panic enveloping his face.

"Hey silly. You got that constipated look on your face again." He grinned as he tried not to overthink what he just wanted... Oh, Yuta was looking at him again. Ba-dump. Ba-dump. Ba-dump. Quiet. Ba-dump. Ba- ...Silence. Thunk. Thunk.

The wind caressed the two with its earthly hand as they continued their stroll along the grid of roads, the occasional turns could appear confusing to some though the practiced path was a road which Necalli roamed without thought. His steps were decorated with a limp as his cane thumped against the exterior of his thigh from the belt loop which he had slipped the smooth tool into.

Elliad appeared to become better in health as he could feel her movements on his back accompanying her eccentric tone as she would direct his attention to several things which if he hadn't been looking for wouldn't have really cared to look at or notice.

The sorts of things which her eyes detected were most simply described as incredible, though he at a time had been admired for his own analytical eye, watching her point out small things as if in a quick game of
I Spy gave him a sense of inferiority came naturally. How could she pick up on such small details and how did such a skill not drive her insane?

When Ellaid fell into a spur regarding his cape his forehead creased thoughtfully before speaking,

"You know a lot about this game," it wasn't the most graceful remark but it one of blunt stupidity if he could describe it. "Or well, how? Your knowledge is sort of incredible." Then as her words continued to travel from her regarding the world they stood in as one of essence and reality he paused within his tracks slightly taken aback and confused by such and crouched down closer to his feet as they stood on the empty sidewalk.

"I might have a mane but I'm not going to be a horse today, if you'd like you can slide off." Ellaid was a dubious individual, one he generally would stray from socializing with and as he remained there with her on his back he questioned himself as to what type of person she could be.

@Entarriance

A nice breeze blew through the open fields just outside of Midnight's Last. There, a young man was sitting down on his knees looking over yet another dead body, another victim who fell at his hands. Yet his eyes were closed, and he seemed to not be all there at the moment, randomly twitching. If one was close enough , they would see tat the twitching was actually the pixels that formed his body freaking out and vibrating intensely. Then, just as quickly as it started, all was still, the young man's eyes opened wide abruptly only for him to see a gruesome scene just inches away from his face. His mouth opened to scream, but nothing came out, instead he clasped a hand over his gaping maw as he scurried away from the body.

Little did he know, he was at the top of a small hill at the time. The sight of the body sent him tumbling down the side of the hill and into a small patch of dandelions. On contact, his skin started to itch as a rash formed in random patches all over his exposed upper body. He shot up immediately and started viciously scratching at his irritated flesh. This was bad, if he didn't get to his medicine soon, it could spread. And if it spread up to his neck, his throat could close up and he'd suffocate. Quickly, he checked his inventory, but found that everything was missing, everything except his prized gauntlets that is. Of course everything was gone, it's always gone when he wakes up like this. Now wasn't the time to freak out or anything though, there was a small group of adventurers coming his way. He could go and ask them for help. Oh wait, never mind , they probably saw him fall down the hill, they'd probably want to see what's up at the top, they'd see the body, they'd think he killed them, they'd try to kill him. So yeah, maybe he should freak out and just run to the nearest town. He started taking of towards the town, but some sort of morbid curiosity washed over him. He had to see the body one more time before he left. He had to see if there was perchance any clues that could lead him to the killer. He turned around and bounded back up the side of the hill all the while thinking about everything that's been happening to him recently.

This was the third time this month, and he still had no idea what was going on. Was this all part of some sick joke? Was he just a plaything for someone else? Or is this just another one of those stupid hidden camera shows? It's better that he never finds out that he's the one doing all this, the results could be devastating.

He arrived at the top of the hill again and walked back over to the bloodied corpse. Upon reaching it he took one look before everything he had eaten prior to waking up vacated from his stomach and splattered all over the ground at his feet. It took a minute to recover from that sudden sickness, but he had to take a closer look. Shaking is head, he bent over the fresh corpse to examine it further. The man's body was a mess, he thought it was a man, it was real hard to tell due to the condition the body was in. Blood, tissue, sinew, bones, and the like were splattered around like some sick Jackson Pollock painting. One thing was for sure though, the heart was missing, just like the rest of them. This was the worst one yet, the others were much, cleaner, if you could even call them that. He could feel himself about to vomit again but was stopped by a voice behind him.

"Excuse me mister, but is everything alright?" The voice of a female rang out from the bottom of the hill.

They were here, it's to late, he had to get to the town and fast. He could lose them there and hopefully someone who could spare him some credits to purchase some ointment. He sprinted down the opposite end of he hill and over to the town. Behind him he heard a blood curdling scream. They found he body, but it's a good thing his tattoo was covered up by the rash, otherwise they just might be able to identify him later.

"...Today Is just not my day."

Virgo was more lost than ever! After getting directions from that nice man, he had quickly ran off, anxious to find a quest at this 'Posies and Potions'...but after a few twists and turns, he had realized that he didn't know what down the bend meant. He then turned around, going back and asking the nice man where down the bend was...until he turned a few corners and got himself lost even more! He looked around wildly, being pushed and shoved forward in a street that looked quite busy. OK, no big deal! He'd just get a quest here! Now, where were the...NPC's?

Virgo's mouth went agape as he stared at the huge crowd over just one elderly NPC. He tried to make his way through, but his attempt was met with a shove that sent him stumbling backwards, causing him to slip on his cape and fall flat on his back. His cape always seemed to be a bit too big, but how could he just toss it?! It was his first item in the game and looked stylish. It even was used as a blanket in case he had to sleep outside during those nights he couldn't afford a place to sleep! Scrambling back up, he dusted himself off. Oh, well. Guess he'd have to go look for another...he wordlessly stared at another crowd circling around a Young Woman NPC. In fact, all the NPC's around her were crowded! With a pout, Virgo kicked a nearby pebble and pushed through the crowd. It didn't help that he was short, the view of people's backs or even legs obscuring his vision.

"WATCH IT!"

"S-Sorry, sir!"

"I'm walking here!"

"E-Excuse me, Ma'am!"

Well, he had to look on the bright side...but what was the bright side to all of this? It was more of a quest looking for a quest! Wait...that meant he was on a quest right now! His spirits now lifted, he stood straighter and began to walk through the crowd with more confidence. If he was in a quest, than the only way to complete it was to find a quest! Sure, he wouldn't actually get a real reward for finding one, but all that mattered was the satisfaction of completing two quests, one more made-up than real, all in one day!

"Even if this world is just a game, you guys aren't part of it. You're not."

It wouldn't have been obvious, but with her perched on his back, the sense of her tensing up could be felt.

"Oh, hmm, I guess I do know a lot. The game always felt a lot like home to me, so maybe that's why! I'm not that prodigious, I just like learning new things, so you pick up a factoid or two on the way!"

Luckily he couldn't see her face. While she had spoken with a smile, something seemed awfully melancholic about it. Elliad wasn't one to pry for attention, but she did pry to know everything that she could, it just came off the wrong way (most of the time). Used to the harsh gaze and cold inquiring of those she talked to, it was invigorating to talk to someone who didnt appear
too uncomfortable around her, and trailing off was bound to happen since she was capable of it. Elliad made a lot of conversation with NPCs, but she herself knew that they could only respond to what they were told to respond to. There were more players than NPCs due to the sheer size of the game, anyway.

"I might have a mane but I'm not going to be a horse today, if you'd like you can slide off."

Cocking her head to the side, it took her a second to process, before she'd pleasantly chuckle. Bringing distance between the both of them as she climbed off, when her feet had hit the ground, the glasses that had stayed propped up against the top of her head quickly fell down over her eyes, lightly hitting the bridge of her nose. Instead of pulling it back to ir's original position, she simply pushed it up on her face, roughly psuhing some strands of hair out of her face.

"Thank you! I feel better now we're away from the congregated concourse! It doesn't seem like I do too good in super-crowded areas with lots of people concentrated in a particular game location..."

While she went back to her trailing off, lowering her voice to mumbles as she seemed to work something out with herself, Elliad was earnestly pretty grateful towards Rue's docile and gernous personality. Another realization had struck her. Throughout the course of her being here, those that she had previously found herself drawn towards and accompanied had either parted paths with her or were killed, either by their own kind, or during a quest. It was something that Elliad had to accept, that if they were to head on their own paths, than she had no right to change what they thought. The idea made her wistful, and her expression momentarily dropped to one of poignancy. Though she appeared to recover quickly, a bright, disquisitive expression over her.

"Your countenance and armour are elegant and lithe! Do you have a secret weapon? Phenotypically, you don't appear as a brute or a tank, but you said you even had secrets to your hair. You gotta know a lot of neat tricks and techniques to getting around the game."

Her voice was tenacious, but even still it bore guiless curiosity. Unlike some, Elliad didn't view herself as highly as she did of other plays. The diversity and differences between players made them fascinating to her, but a little scary as well. Her philosophy stood to learn as much as she could, as she couldn'y
possible fear something that she could come to adore. Things that she liked couldn't possible be scary, right?
