Midnight Island [Inactive]

Felix stiffened at the sound of approaching footsteps, preparing to attack he gathered himself like some kind of animal ready to pounce on their prey but stopped abruptly as Xavier came into view, he let out a exaggerated sigh,


"Aw man, I thought you were a human." He groaned slightly watched his fellow vampire clamber up into a neighbouring tree. Loosing interest he averted his gaze back onto the humans.


Sariel jumped off the boat landing lightly on the dock, peering up at Nelson with her wide hazel eyes, before turning her gaze to Clara, everyone seemed on edge, was their something she was missing. Padding innocently onto the beach she looked around, pale pink lips pursed with slight interest. She inhaled and exhaled contently, the corners of her lips curving up into a light smile, she had never been to a beach before, it was so big! So pretty!

Clara walked out towards the water. She stopped a bit behind where the water stopped flowing upward on the beach. She inhaled slightly,smelling the salt water. "I sure hope this will be a good vacation." She muttered under her breath. She looked over to Sariel and saw her smiling. Clara smiled to her and looked back out to the ocean.

Xavier didn't even look at the older vampire. "If you thought I was a human you must be loosing your touch," he commented dryly, flipping through the worn pages of his book and scowling when one broke apart. Huffing, he let go of the piece as it danced through the wind, landing softly on the beach's sand. Right in the middle of the beach. "Well this might be a problem," he muttered, but a slightly amused smirk pulled the corners of his lips up.
 
Drake stop and look up seeing two people in trees"hi there how are you doing"he started to smile
 
Sariel walked up to Clara the wind lacing through her dirty blonde hair, smiling up at her,


"This is my first time at a beach!" She stated happily, her wide innocent eyes pulling away from the pretty red head gazing across the shore in awe. Crouching down she touched the sand running her index finger through it with much interest lighting her expression. She looked up as something blew past her, landing softly a few feet away, standing up she padded up to it, stooping down to grasp the sheet of page in between her fingers, it was old, really old. Looking towards the tropical part of the island before returning her gaze back to the paper.


Felix couldn't help but let a soft chuckle rolled off his tongue at the vampires comment, but it got caught in his throat as he watch the paper fly off.


"Great. So much for the hide and prey pl-" He clamped his jaw shut at another voice, slowly turning his red gaze away from Xavier landing on the boy known as Drake, his throat tightening at the scent of human... blood. He swallowed hard, as he watched him with dark eyes,


"hello, what brings you to this island?" He asked his tone masked his desperation for the human perfectly, as if he had years of practice... which, he had... His words rolled smoothly off his tongue as he spoke.
 
"Really?" Clara asked Sariel. She chuckled. "It's been a while since I've been to the beach...a very long while. I think this break will be nice." She said,smiling to the girl next to her who looked to happy. Clara was glad that Sariel was having a nice time so far.


She noticed an old page that Sariel picked up. "Whats that?" Clara asked. The page deffinetly looked old,very old.

Frank grabbed his duffel and diembarked the bout, he looked around and took in the beautiful scenery, he could see worry in the other's face, even Clara's. He had put any misgiving aside, he worked to much, he need this. He changed into his trunks and jumped into the water. It was warm and refreshing.


"Come on you bunch of sad-sacks! We're here to relax!" He called to them, though he looked at Clara specifically. " The waters fine, lets just have some fun!" He swam around, diving occasionally. He smiled, he wasn't worried about safety, any trouble that came, he could handle, if not Clara.
 
Xavier looked down at the human and smiled, careful to keep his fangs hidden. "I'm doing just jolly. And how about yourself?" He smiled again and almost laughed at Felix's obvious enough strain to not suck the boy in front of them dry. "How many of you are on the island?" Xavier asked, looking towards the beach and trying to make a head count.
 
Clara looked over to Frank. "I would join,but im too lazy to change." She said,chuckling. She returned her focus to the page,reading some of the lines from over Sariel's shoulder.

Nelson sat away from the group lost in his thoughts as the sun beated down on his naturally pale skin making it feel as though it was on fire. Nelson broke his grip on his bag and rubbed his hands up and down the legs of his jean as sweat formed on Nelsons brown the heat un-naturalto him.Has it always been this hot or is it only here..He questioned but he couldn't find an anser since it was that year he had moved to the town. Nelson remembered the memory as though it was yesturday, he expected himself to just go through the rest of his school by himself but this group welcomed him so easily, the memory caused Nelsons mouth to twitch upwards in a smile the first one in awhile.
 
Felix relaxed himself offering the boy a handsome crooked grin,


"Yes, how many? Where are you staying?" He asked folding his arms across his broad chest, standing up on the branch he peered down at the boy.


Sariel handed the page to Clara,


"I'm not sure, it just flew over here from the jungle," She said gesturing towards the mass of trees and plants. Turning her attention to the water a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips,


"I'd like to swim." The small girl was prepared to so she wore a bathing suit under her clothes, pulling off her large sweat shirt and her short shorts, she wore a red and black striped bikini, running her small hands under her dirty blonde hair she tugged it out of the pony tail letting it cascade down her back in long wispy strands. Turning towards Clara and Nelson she grinned happily,


"C'mon you two, I don't want to swim with just Frank." She teased looking back over at Frank with a slight smirk before she walked towards the water, letting the waves wash up over her bare feet.
 
Clara took the page calmly and read it over. "This has to be about a hundred years old...maybe more." She muttered. She looked up to see Sariel entering the water. "I'll probably swim later, I kinda want to adventure a little. Maybe drop the stuff off at the cabin." She said. "Anyone want me to take their stuff down?" She asked everyone.

Nelson heard Clara and swung his backpack over his shoulder and walked over.


"Could I join you? I mean like I could help.." He trailed off at the end of the sentence not wanting to seem eager to get off the beach, bu the sun was never a great match up with his pale skin.
 
Clara smiled. "Of course!" She said happily. "That would be great." Clara added in.

"here let me join you up there" as he parcord up the tree joining him on the Same branch"me and my friends on a vacay"
 
Frank put his two pinkies in his mouth and let out a whistle,


"YEAH GIRL!" He paused "Wait, what..." He felt a little dejected, then he saw her smile and all was forgiven." Yeah, y'all need to lighten up a bit! Come take a swim!" Frank gave Sariel an OK hand-sign. "Very nice Sariel, Very nice." He did a back-flip underwater and popped up smiling.
 
Nelson re-adjusted his hand on his strap staring up at the sky shading his eyes with his hands.


"I'm gonna be so sun burn by the end of this trip....I just know it"
 
Clara chuckled. "Dont wrestle any sharks,Frank. Having a dead shark wash up on the beach and stinking the air wont be joyus." She called to Frank jokingly. She looked to Nelson. "Lets go. I can tell the sun is not doing you well." She said with a smile. She gave a friendly pat on her pale friend's shoulder and walked into the forest.

Xavier raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Vacay?" he asked quietly, unsure what the boy was talking about, and glanced down to the beach, seeing a girl holding his page. "I've got to go and get that," he said quickly, climbing down the tree to appear normal before walking across the beach to the girl. "Excuse me, I think that's mine." He smiled and pointed to the page.
 
Felix shifted away from the boy, feeling his fangs throb against the back of his lip, casting a quick glance towards Xavier before returning his gaze with his unusually red eyes,


"so how many of you are they?... I'll have you know this is our island, so treat it well." He mused.


Sariel watched Frank back flip, flinching slightly even though she knew he would land it, and he did. With a small smile she dove into the cool water, blinking her eyes open she gazed around swimming along the bottom, a small star fish caught her eye and she moved towards it, her hazel eyes widening, taking much interest in the small thing.
 
Clara stopped in her tracks to see a man infront of her. She looked down at the page. "Oh,i'm sorry." She said apologetically. Clara handed it over to him. "Here you go." Clara smiled politley.

Nelson followed behind Clara and was slightly astonished at how easy she was with the stranger as he stood there trying not to make eye contact.
 
"Thank you." Xavier smiled at her, careful again with his fangs, and slipped the page into the book. Looking over the two humans, Xavier wanted to hit himself when his mouth started watering. Man, he hadn't fed in a long time. He blinked the thought away and smiled kindly. "Where are you guys staying?"
 
"Just at a cabin,not to far inland." Clara said. She didnt say anything specific,like it's exact location. She had weird feeling about the man infront of her. Clara put her guard up slightly,but not enough to make her seem unsociable.

At the boys question he stared in his direction once again trying to not look in his eyes but failed to do so and looked into his green eyes they looked worn but sharp and it caused Nelsons chest to tighten making the feeling of un-easiness thick in his mind.
