Oslonaut
wonders in revealing every obscured demon
After the outburst made from the students was met with sharp disciplinary action from Bang-sensei (
Brax
), the class seemed to simmer down a bit. Instinctively, Yasugai had shrunk a bit in his seat upon hearing the older man's tone.
The teams were announced and Yasu titled his hooded head at the names that had been drawn on the blackboard. He didn't dare turn to scan the room and see who he'd been paired up with. After all, he'd only met a small number of the students collected here-- Ari ( Maj ) included. She'd been paired up with Felix ( Castello ), the cat boy he'd met the day before, and a Jono. Yasu wondered if that was the sullen-looking boy she'd glanced at earlier. In regards to his teammates, however... Jasmine ( QuirkyAngel ) and Katharine ( Idea ) were typically names given to individuals of the female gender. Considering his rapport with the girls in his old class, he hoped they were nice.
It when the girl with the stunning green hair raised her hand and voiced a question that Yasu couldn't help but turn his head to look. He still, of course, wasn't aware that this girl was a part of his team. But her confidence in asking the question caught his eye. But... her question went unanswered, it seemed. After all, when Dark Side-sensei ( AkuTheWolfOkami ) throws a kunai at a student and nearly impales their face, the shock doesn't exactly allow room for answering questions. Or even remembering what they were in the first place. The action certainly snapped Yasu back to attention anyway. So much so, in fact, that the moment she said the bus was outside and mentioned a time limit... well, he was up and out of his seat as soon as he felt it was polite to do so. After grabbing his bag and bowing respectfully at Bang and Dark Side-sensei, he shuffled his way out, passing another teacher who was apparently bringing in a lost student.
If he was to meet his team anywhere, he figured it would be by the bus. It was far safer to get there first then group up, anyway. He wasn't exactly sure what the late penalty entailed, but he didn't want to find out. As he walked down the hallways and made his way down the stairs, he would tug at his hood and carefully continue to try and remove his sticky hair from it. Sighing, the pink-haired youth stopped by the lockers just ahead of the school exit. He could see the bus parked outside. But did he really want to go? Could he really be of any kind of use in a team? He was already sure most of the class thought him to be a fool... or just straight up didn't even know of his existence. Alone. Things were much easier when he was alone. It hurt being lonely... a silent kind of hurt, dull yet brimming in his chest. But he missed the peace that came with not having to worry about being a burden to others.
He turned to the locker, slouching before banging his forehead against it and keeping it there. Those thoughts. Those damning thoughts that hung around him like demons. It could be so easy to just give in to them... and walk away from it all. But this was his chance... his chance to make friends. To be a hero... could he really toss it away and not come to regret it for the rest of his life?
