I got all pumped up so I’m replaying exodus for the first time in a while. I forgot how beautiful they made the scenery. Just sitting there on Aurora watching the scenery is half of what I’m getting done

Yesss! Exodus is a gorgeous game. The Metro series has always had this tragic beauty to it, that even when the world is in ruins, there is still beauty to be found.

The closest thing to match it is probably Fallout, but most of the Fallout games honestly look like garbage, and that's coming from someone who literally worships New Vegas. Plus, the Metro series has such a great soundtrack. I literally play the main theme for 2033 when I'm studying or doing work because of how calming it is.

I’m going to say it. 76 is actually pretty visually I think 4 was uglier than 3 and three only had a color palate of two colors. Same with New Vegas everyone should rightly worship the treasure that is that game

76 is legitimately gorgeous. It actually looks just like West Virginia, as I've been to the Blue Ridge Mountains myself. Fallout 4...I play it occasionally nowadays, but not for long. 3 had great art direction, plus exploring the ruins of DC is really cool. And New Vegas is perfect in every way and you can't convince me otherwise.

I live about an hour from the WV line in the heart of Appalachia and that’s the only reason I got the game. I had to move for work and was getting a little mountain sick so I impulse bought it just to wander around the Appys. And mothman They could have done more with the engine of 4. It lacks in a lot of areas. New Vegas had everything going for it and it’s my go to game

I play 4 for the same reason I play Call of Duty games, or even Skyrim. I'm just really stressed or bored and need to forget about everything for a few hours. New Vegas is my favorite mainly because of it's themes. There really isn't a good option: there's just options. Unlike 4, every side has a compelling argument to make regarding how the world should function in the apocalypse.

the only time I ever got engrossed in 4 was when I decided to ignore the main storyline and do my own thing. Then mods. There are some really good mod missions out there.

FROST is probably the best thing you can do in 4. Though mainly because it feels so much like Metro.

There is a metro mod. That I tried to get through until it crashed my game. I like the enclave one because it gives me the option to join the enclave and you used to be able to take out the brotherhood until they removed that feature

Oh, damn. I might have to try that! The Brotherhood just... disappointed me. I cannot stand Arthur, he's just a whiny asshole.

This is true. I'd say download the mod that restores the cut quest where you can overthrow Maxon.

I need to look into that one. I also like this one that I can’t remember the name of. But your spouse was a DIA agent and you go through the DIA vault and get it as a settlement

I looked it up and found it! Actually looks really cool, I might try it at some point!

The quest is a little meh. But the fact you can build a settlement in a defense bunker is great
