Fantasy Mermaid Roleplay Anybody???

I don't exactly have everything figured out yet, but I was basicly thinking a mermaid/merman roleplay where we all live in the same underwater village and we are the rulers of out own little region of sea. So it would be like the mermaids can communicate with inteligent sea creatures like dolphins and the mermaids are the aristocracy of the ocean.


Like somekind of school life / everyday life kind of feel but with mermaids and underwater. Maybe we could even have some misevious mermaids who like to go to the surface and meet some humans. So we could also have some human characters in the mix.


Like I said before I dont know exactly we are going to do right now, so some feedback would be greatly appeciated. I just really want to make a mermaid roleplay.

Yah that would be really cool, but I want the majority of the rp to take place underwater. Does anyone have an idea for a plot? Like something to do with the town or something?

I just had an idea about this rp that I thought might be interesting like perhaps there are mermaid that don't have just fish tails but also have other sea animal tails such as eel, shrimp, shark, sea horse etc. And it could be mermaids from all over the globe come to this one town under water to live in peace. Let me know what you think.

Other question, are other sea myths/ sea creature viable? (Another one I thought of just now can I do like a Narwhal mermaid mix? xD I want to be a unimacorn! )

I think it would be best if we have normal fish tales, but i do like the idea of having seperate cultures. It could work in a way that the diferent cultures could be called together for a meeting between the nations because of strife. So they get legs and go on land to neutral territory that no merpeople have claim to. So they could interact with eachother and other humans on land and go back to underwater hotels at sea and sleep there.

Here's what I got:

Welcome to Atlantis Academy,

The schools of elites of the mer-people. Only the wealthiest are accepted, aside from our few exceptions. This school is the most selective under the sea, resulting in a gathering of only the best and brightest.




This Academy is equipped with professors who are the very best in their field, ensuring the best education possible. In addition, because of the small amount in students, resulting from the selectivity of the school, all students currently enrolled in the same grade are to attend the same classes, at the same time. These include Marine Biology, Mathematics, Literature, Atlantic History, Physical Education, as well as an optional elective class: Art, Music, Speech and Debate, or, for those born with the gift, Magic.


Since we spare no expense each student will be presented with their own dorm room upon arrival. It is theirs to do as they please during these four here.
