Your characters were born as they were, but there powers don't develop until they turned into whatever your characters current age is. You character doesn't have to be an angel or demon specifically.
Because of their powers not developing sooner they think they're human, and their parents don't want to tell them what they are due to want to keep them away from the cruel magic world unless their parents don't know if your character is adopted or one of their parents are human and haven't been told about the strange world.
This is all if you're talking about Veiled World of course :3

Btw I'm curious whats likethe limit on the species we can connect our characters to? Don't get me wrong I'm not the "son of the god of death, half angel, kitsune hybrid" type stuff, but I have some ideas and I wanted to get some feedback to grease the gears. Apologies if this similar to the last question but I do like being particular.
