Name: Constantine

Age: 127

Appearance: Broad-shouldered merman, a big and bulky build which was moreover a gift from the sea creature he takes after. He is quite built, though his body is a mix between tanned forearms that have small designated patches of black scales that travel up the entirety of his back before dispersing along his broad shoulders. White scales flow up from the tail up to his torso and spread out around his chiseled chest from hard work done from his years. A thick tail sprouts from his torso with black and white scales following patterns of an orca, or a killer whale, as that is the sea creature which he takes after. A dorsal fin is positioned in black scales in the area between his shoulder blades. Scars are slashed in odd angles all over his body and tail, some of the larger scars that are deep which cross over his broad chest and the front of his tail. He has black hair similar to how humans do on their head, he keeps it at shoulder length but often forgets to keep cutting it due to the water always making it difficult to tell how long it really is. His facial structure is set up similarly, making him appear human in the face and not having the roundness of an orca, unlike some others who take on similar facial builds as their sea creatures. He has dark brown eyes and a sharp jawline that often has a scowl.

Personality: He is traditional and likes the old way of things finding the hard work put in back in the old days shows how dedicated the merfolk were in his clan to continue on living the same way. He is a rule follower, he knows the rules were set for a reason and often tends to follow them but on the rare occasions when he deems rules need to be broken he’d do so with little afterthought. Constantine is very respectful, if he were to find an older merman or mermaid he wouldn’t act out of line before them, he’d also be very respectful towards those of higher status like the kings, queens, princes, and princesses as he finds them very important for his clan. He is relatively gentle with younger generations of merfolk, he has a soft spot for that younger than him, he grew up with siblings, a family pod within the clan. He is kind to some extent, he has a special way of showing kindness, and to those close to him he has a fierce protectiveness that is often mistaken for rudeness and wanting to control things. He often just acts on feelings or spur of the moment decisions, he rather explains later and just gets things over with quickly. Constantine is rather tactical, he finds weak points in plans and of course has a knack for planning things out strategically.

Sun Clan Thoughts: He doesn’t understand why they feel the need to be so free, without rules there wasn’t any stability and more dangerous causalities can happen.

Clan: Moon Clan

Rank: Guard

Abilities: He has the ability to change into a large orca, he finds it very useful but he uses his normal form to do most combat unless paired against another Moon Clan shifter which has as much as experience as his own. Aside from his clan ability, he is a skillful fighter as he holds the rank of a guard. He has a developed ability to logically locate weak points, a skill he developed while young.

Magic: He is connected to the orca sea creature, he resembles the creature by the tail and the patterns some scales are in along his body but he can also phase into what an orca looks like. Since Constantine takes after the orca species and phase into them, he quite frankly grows in size of course and takes up the appearance of an orca. He can use this as a weapon, being able to make use of his large size once phased as well as use it as a stealth tactic. He can use the sea creatures' appearance to hide in plain sight to the unknowing eye, especially humans who are either afraid of orcas or just ignore his presence which is useful for escapes. He relatively takes on the same capability as an orca, though he does not have any magical ability aside from this so he had to learn how to use this ability skillfully as a last restort or possible just for surprises when going against an unknowing opponent.

Weapons: He scavenged a spear with a large curved blade on both ends, a glaive with engravings on the silver blades. It can cut through the water which is why he prefers using the lightweight weapon.

Likes: He loves watching the sky through the water but not exactly going up into the open air, just watching the sun and moon glittering above water. Cold water is something he enjoys quite a bit, he finds it refreshing and it keeps him alert. Constantine loves to spar, he finds it a good way of keeping his body toned and helps him learn new techniques.

Dislikes: Humans, this is because some of his family pod had died due to human inflicted wounds in the ocean such as his younger brother and elder brother who both had their tails ripped up by a fishing net. Surfaces above water, he hated having to swim with his head above water it makes swimming a little difficult and he finds it annoying with the wind hitting him in the face. Constantine dislikes the carefree lifestyle Sun Clan has, he thinks it is too risky to want to explore and have the little number of rules.

Other: Constantine is often bare-chested, old relic like necklace which is often adorning the area over his chest and around his neck. It’s long and appears to be gold in color, rumor had it was handed down after being brought from a sunken ship.

Age: 52

Eye Color: Golden (normal) Blue (when upset)

Hair Color: shaggy; light golden, nearly bleached out

appearance: He has a tanned slim upper human body, very similar to an acrobat. Strong but compact. He has a Blue-ringed octopus lower body, he spends much of his time hiding in crevices while displaying effective camouflage patterns with his dermal chromatophore cells. Like all octopus, they can change shape easily, which helps him to squeeze into crevices much smaller than himself. This, along with piling up rocks outside the entrance to his lair/hiding place.
If he is provoked, he will quickly change color, becoming bright neon yellow with each of the 50-60 rings flashing bright iridescent blue within a third of a second as an aposematic warning display. His rings contain multi-layer light reflectors called iridophores. These are arranged to reflect blue–green light in a wide viewing direction. Beneath and around each ring there are dark pigmented chromatophores which can be expanded within 1 second to enhance the contrast of the rings.

personality: Quietly forceful, original, and sensitive. He tends to stick to things until they are done. He can be extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings(when he actually cares). He has a well-developed value system which he strictly adheres to.

Your thought on the other clan: “what’s so great about them? Whoopie I can do magic but have lost all moral mer-code with my ancestors.” He is offended by them and when he sees them, he often immediately starts flashing blue spots out of anger, frustration, and grief?

abilities: produces venom in mouth and the tips of each tentacle, immune to venom,

powers: produces venom containing tetrodotoxin, histamine, tryptamine, octopamine, taurine, acetylcholine and dopamine. The venom can result in nausea, respiratory arrest, heart failure, severe and sometimes total paralysis, blindness, and can lead to death within minutes if not treated. Death, if it occurs, is usually from suffocation due to paralysis of the diaphragm. Can transform into a giant version of a blue-spotted octopus (giant only because he would have to shrink significantly to be the actual animals size) he has enough venom in his spit to kill 26 human men with in a few minutes.

appearance: she has a curvy slim body; with pale skin, long crimson red hair, pink, yellow, blues in her scaling. She has fins along her elbows and along her ‘highs’ she has a rather large tail fin. She is often adorned with jewels, skimpy flowing fabric, and lots of intracity in her many metal/shell jewelry pieces. She always looks put together perfectly. She has delicate scales up her back and shoulders as well as some around her eyes, it looks like eyeshadow until you get up close (no one except royal family gets that close) She is a natural beauty and she knows it.
personality: her typical personality is bubbly and fun-loving woman. she is flirtatious with nearly everyone, it’s such a common trait she has that she does it without meaning to most of the time. Which can lead to some awkward situations and her king getting upset/jealous. She likes exploring and finding new things but can often get distracted easily. She likes pretty, shiny and sweet things much to her down fall. Her electric powers are very strong, as the more emotional she becomes the stronger her power tends to be, naturally, she can use them without emotion but it’s much more difficult and time intensive.
As she came from a comfortable house politically standing, and her bloodline was very strong. she was a high recommendation to become queen when the time came. It is said that her powers came from a mysterious ancestor, perhaps an electric eel, but it is not polite to speak of such things. Everyone in her bloodline has some sort of electric abilities but none compared to hers. Many of them have little shocks when touching things or people, nothing too crazy. When pushed to her absolute limit she can summon lightning, but she has only done so once, and it terrified her. She mostly uses it for pranks and play innocent. She often wonders is her strong genes will pass to her children, and if they do when will they produce the spark?

Your thought on the other clan: “those poor merfolk… I wish we could help them see the light.” Over all the pities the dark moon clan, not only for the old ways of thinking they are stuck in but because they look so sad and lonely all the time.

weapons: she was formally trained in spear and shells but does not like to fight, she would much rather talk and eat with someone who wants to fight to figure out their side of reasoning.
likes: she loves sweets, spontaneous gifts, and generally pretty things. She loves the sun and can be seen sunbathing regularly on beaches. She loves freedom and peaceful living, but isn’t above a little competition every now and then.
dislikes: dark and the cold are her least favorite things and she dislikes ugly as well. Eyesoars
are a bother to her and she will often command some merfolk to fix a empty rock or dead coral
into something “nicer”.

Name: Kyoya (kee-yo-yah)

appearance:

personality: Kyoya is soft spoken and reserved. His family history dates back to the ancient ones. No one is seen better than anyone amongst the sun clan, but there is a deep sense of pride and seclusion that comes along with Kyoya's blood line. Most of them live within the palace or travel amongst the winter guard. Kyoya has done his part it keeping up the reputation of his family. Seen mingling amongst the council, spending most of his days learning history and exploring the mysteries collected through generations. He is not one to be overwhelmed with emotion, besides his monotone stare most have only seen him with a look of disapproval or a slight smirk. He is vastly different from the out spoken king before him, and much wiser. Queen Anemone and King Kyoya have never had a real conversation. He took the role as king and promised to help support her in anyway. He spends most of his time in his quarters, but has made it clear that his door is always open to Queen Anemone.


Your thought on the other clan: Kyoya has kept his opinions to himself, saying he only cares for the betterment of the sun clan.

Appearance :: Likota holds a strong and muscular build. He prides himself on being strong, not only for himself but also for the people he rules over. With a tattoo of a skeletal fish on his neck, and more tribal such on his right hip, he isn't afraid to show it off. Short hair is cut into a small mo-hawk and tainted a green colour. But that doesn't take away from his wicked and cheeky grin that is normally expressed upon his face.

Personality :: Likota is known for being rather cold. He doesn't often speak with people and doesn't often venture outside of the Moon Clan. With the ability of fighting, he is proud to keep his people safe and away from harm, with their former Queen missing, he often resides to his chambers to contemplate what will become of the Clan. Once he does venture out, he is always caring and compassionate to his people, but he understands the hatred they could have towards him for keeping them safe and away from the outside.

Abilities:
- Bubble of translation: Likotas pet puffer fish is able to produce a bubble of water containing a message of which he can send to people.

Powers:
- The Great White - With a shark like tail, it only shows that Likota is able to transform himself into a larger than average great white, it's been rumoured he often drifts in the ocean as it to escape the thoughts of the clan.

Weapons: Likota prefers to rely on his other form, however he often fights with daggers if needed.


Likes: The moon light, solitude and gems.


Dislikes: Somewhat dislikes the sun clan, his own mind at time and the light he can never reach.

Appearance:

Personality: Kaia is rather shy, having lived a sheltered child hood. She has a very caring and curious nature. Being young, she has a tendency to be led by her emotions. She adheres strictly to Clan Law as her parents taught her, but often dreams of being able to explore and move around freely as the Sun Clan does. She has an ingrained loyalty to the royals from her parents teaching but will also be fiercely loyal to anyone she deems worthy of her care.


Your thought on the other clan: She admires, even longs for, their freedom. However, she understands her place in Moon Clan and would never stray from their laws. At least not without good reason and unprecedented circumstances.
"Sometimes I feel it would be nice to live as freely as they do.. But our rules are here for a reason, I trust in our past Queens judgement. We need to protect ourselves."

Made More strange by the fact he to most appears to be a total softie (also literally like his tails tentacles are soft) appearing not to care to much and just playing around, that is of course until duties as a prince calls, he basically becomes a drill Sargent when training the gaurd and a ruthless killer and tactician during combat no one knows how he is capable of this sudden switch some sight spilt personal or something the truth only galarn knows

abilities: many many many manipulation tentacles on his tail each holding deadly neurotoxins, able to sense changed in water pressure, able to swap form being a total softy to a ruthless killer on and the tentacles are super soft and nice to touch. Tactical intuition and leadership


powers: galarn can transform into a sea anemone while yes it seems useless, it’s a massive one the anemone is able to burrow under the sea floor and burst out thousands of massive long tentacles lashing out each filled with a debilitating neurotoxin that can easily paralyse and kill its victims either by drowning them in there own body fluids or them causing them to spasms out till death or heart stopping instant in the worst cases nothing is safe form this potent toxin even though that are immune to most other find the sting of galarn excruciating painful... nothing escapes his wrath, he prefers swift ambushes
