~Memories Cafe~

After about five customers, the song finished. Naku blew the bangs in her eyes out of the way and continued to work. She noticed a bulk in Cory's pocket and thought, What's in Lemon-head's pocket? she shook her head and continued to work some more.

Maxine stared from behind the song being played was good, but she loved it when people sang with emotion and feelings. "when will he learn..." sighing she turned to face Milly with a stern look."stop...you cant and you know it Maxi.." she looked away annoyed,"i know..shut up i can stare.." she wiggled out of the way to her station where she prepped the next batch of test puffs her hands shook. to know that she cant even like anyone made her mad, wondering why she had to remember parts of her past. to know that who she is now is not who she was when she was alive,"that bastard..who ever you are..i hate you..." Milly shook her head and headed out,Cory did you eat hun?" she stood there looking at him in a motherly way as she always did." take a break yea..okay"

Alexander had heard the music from a long way off. It had knocked him out of one the books he was reading and had drawn him here. A lover of music himself, he decided that he must meet this artist in the best way possible. Thanks to the woman, Alexander knew the youths name was Cory. So, there in front of this Cory he took out his violin and started playing one of his favorite songs. It was a faster paced one that you could most certainly dance to and playing it always brought a smile to his lips. As he played he watched to see what this other musician would make of him.

Naku listened to the violin and rolled her eyes. "That's not how you play a violin." She gently took the violin away, and began to play a more... recent song everyone knew, called Sakura Kiss. She played it then handed it back to the man. The song was very fast paced, and up beat. She smiled and looked at he man, "Very.. old fashioned.... don't you think?" she asked him.

Lily-Alice was busy serving customers, but relaxed somewhat when Cory played music. Then she heard a fast-paced violin song. It set her on edge and she was glad when Naku took the violin away to play something more relaxing. She smiled, loving the sound of the violin echoing throughout the cafe. She looked around at the other waitresses.

"Hmmm, perhaps another then milady?" He asked as he put the violin to his chin and began. This time however, he would not be out done. He thought for a moment before proceeding with:

Naku smiled and said, "I'm Naku, and I will not lose." She took the violin away from him and played another classy tune,

.

Cory watched at the two played tunes on there violins. "excuse me, your music is great and all but this is actually my job so if i could get back to that, that would be great." he said sarcastically. back at his home he would have quite enjoyed sharing music, but after all that had happened to bring him here, he could care less. it seemed his lips were stuck in an eternal frown of sorts.

"As you wish." he said to the musician, then to the lady Naku he said "My name is Alexander Vallino, it is ever a pleasure to meet you milady. You are quite learned with the violin, I am surprised that I have not heard of you before." Now a quizzical look came across his face as he tried to remember if he had ever heard her name before. "Perhaps, you are from somewhere else? Or is it that you merely play for amusement?"

Cory went back to playing, he wouldnt let himself be upstaged when this was his actual job, and his only passion. he played a more classic peice on his guitar. for the first time in awhile he managed to lose himself in his music for a moment till he finished the song. once her was done he sat for a moment, he felt pretty good. better then he had in awhile, but still. he wouldnt let himself fall into a sense of false securities. his expression was flat as ever.

Faith finished her tea and picked up a book from one of the shelves in the back room of her shop. she walked out and sat under a tree in the front of her floral shop and read.

Naku shook her head and said, "Whatever Lemon-head, being sour like you always are." She looked back at the man and said, "I've just started learning about three years ago." She said it with complete arrogance, and no thought of what the man would think of her what so ever.

Mills was going from the upper level to the lower deriving cleaning hearing a violin...she felt somewhat sad when she saw wha time it was,"it's almost closing time..hopefully I can go visit before its too dark." milky went down and turned the sigh from open to close."Maxine count out the upper till yea then you can go.." she shouted to her Maxine waved walking up the back way. Milky looked at the people,"ah folks it's last call for drinks and when your all finished if I may ask you to exit." she liked at the workers,"when your done and everything's is set up for tommorrow there is a meal for you in the employee lounge, thank Maxine and the chefs as they leave.." she was counting out the till as she spoke, not too bad today. "here mill we did a thou upstairs...were getting there." she smiled feeling good the she could help realize her dream. She took off her apron and began cleaning up,"that was you playing wasn't it..I've seen you around..very different you are..it's kind of cool.." the man looked straight out of a time period movie but it didn't make her feel odd but entranced by his appearance. Cleaning around the last few remaining guests she sat in a booth sighing wiping her for head. ".."

y did his part cleaning up the stage, hearing the idol chatter as everyone got ready to leave. he knew there was usually food available, but had never actually stayed. he carefully put his guitar in its case and carried it over his shoulder. he looked around at the hustle and bustle in the shop as it prepared to close.

Faith pulled her flowers into the building and began closing up shop. once everything was watered for the night she locked up and headed towards her apartment.

Milly collected the money and headed off,"bye guys thanks for your hard work!" she left Maxine I charge she stayed late to prep for tommorrow anyways. "alright lets all eat yes? I made everyone's favorite dishes..even your cory.." she looked around but didn't see him not showing any sad expression she busted everyone in the lounge it was rather cozy seperate from the locker room.

Milly ran all the way to the flower shop, panting she looked up,"oh no closed..no no this won't do.." she stood there hands on her knees trying to catch her breath, not sure where to get flowers now. Every year she didn't this and was the first time she was late."what do I do now....Ami will want them..I...will want them." her baby she always left one day out of the year to reall grieve for her.the wind hit her hair tossing it around the pink luster faded as the light dropped down.

Naku yawned and said, "I'll pass." She left the shop with her wallet, and saw Cory. "Good night Lemon Head, see you at work." she said it a little arrogantly, but once again, she didn't give one.

Faith remembered a moment, she had left the book she was reading at the shop. That simply wouldn't do since she planned on finishing it that night. As she walked back she spotted a girl stand out front. "Excuse me, may I help you with something?" She smiled kindly.

Cory heard the ever snappy Naku, "yea whatever. Seeya." He said.

Alexander left the cafe. Of course, he had never been to a cafe where he was from but he had long since stopped asking questions about this place. All he needed to know was that it was a very...unique place and he now lived here. On his way back to the house he noticed a couple of girls standing outside of a flower shop. One was the girl who had commented on his music and the other he had not met. "Pardon me for saying this ladies but, you should not be wandering by yourselves at night. There could be all manner of villanous swine around. If you would allow me, I should accompany you to the safety of your residence and once there, take my leave of you."

Milly saw the flower lady her face lit up,"ah sorry to trouble you..do you have white roses? Its..my child's birthday and I alway bring ehite roses to her.." holding her sweater end she looked pitiful standing there. A voice came from behind her and looked turning her hair covered her face eyes were tearing up. "ah well you see I have to visit the children's cemetery..I have too.." her faced red he was rather handsome.

Alexander was struck with a pang of guilt. How could he be so senseless? "You have my deepest sympathies milady. You also have my sincerest apologies for my insensible outburst. If you would allow, I would still like to accompany you." It was all he could manage after his terrible blunder, and even that might be overreaching. He would find a way to apologize properly, that was an oath he made to himself.

Naku, walked out of the shop and saw the people at the flower shop. She shrugged and took a white rose out of her bag. She touched the thorne and pressed her finger against it. It was an odd thing to do, one the less painful. She let her blood drip onto the rose and she sighed. "Hope ya' guys enjoy the view up there."

(Should there be like a twist? Like someone watches TV, who died in a serious accident or someting and appear on the news as dead? That'd be cool.)

Faith smiled and nodded, "just a moment." she turned the lock and went into the shop. she wrapped up a bouquet and locked up the shop again. "here you go, free of charge. im sure the children will love them." she smiled warmly. she turned to gentlman nearby, "i wouldnt mind, if you'd walk me home that is." she gave a polite thank you in handing him a bundle of yellow flowers. "these are called agrimony, in the language of the flowers they mean thankfullness, and greatfullness."

Cory made it back to the apartment complex and took the fire escape from his room up to the roof. he took his guitar with him. he thought over the day a bit. his music wasnt soulless, he knew that for a fact. he just couldnt put much feeling into his music at work. he pulled out his guitar and strummed out a tune. this time it was full of emotion, but that emotion was sorrow and pain.
