Mecha RP: Legend of M

I'm screaming on the inside, cause its been so long since I've found an RP like this. I'm extremely excited for this, and can't wait to get a CS in. But I won't be able to get one in until about half a day from now in account of work, mind reserving a spot for me til then?

Ok, so the main issue I'm seeing is that the history seems confused, So I'll try to clear some stuff up as best I can. The colonies are a bunch of space habitats that were presumed destroyed in the first day of the conflict which happened 16 years ago, The World League is the current reigning government that controls most of the more habitable zones of the world, The Invaders were a bunch of strange and powerful aliens that destroyed most of the world but then just sort of disappeared at the end of the war, and the Kaiju are a bunch of big scary monsters that appeared around the same time the invaders left and now plague a good chunk of the world.


The colonial Forces used to be part of a group know as the Colonial Front, and were enemies of the League. Nobody's really rebelling against the kaiju since they're more of a plague than any kind of authority, and pretty much everyone is fighting them to some degree. The rebels are fighting against the League who are kind of jerks to everyone. The invaders are missing but everyone thinks they're still out there watching, The Colonies might still be alive and some of their survivors on earth are still loyal to the old Front and want to reclaim the colonies and defeat the World League.


What I'm trying to say is that the setting is a bit of a mess. Both in the meta and literal sense.
 
So.. basic gist is that we're either fighting or supporting the World League?


Kaiju are just beasts we fight, and the alien invaders have disappeared without a trace and are unrelated to the Kaiju aside from the fact the Kaiju only started appearing after the aliens left.

Ah, okay. This entire time I've been thinking the aliens and Kaiju are the same thing. Gotcha! Want me to make edits on my CS then? It'll have to be in about five hours

Yeah, go ahead and make the changes when you can and let me know. It's pretty slow here for the moment anyway, so this'd probably be the best time.
 
I'll be joining if you don't mind, and I'll have a character made as soon as I can.

Better on my CS? I basically removed the term alien and corrected who he was rebelling against.

Looks good to me, Although you still refer to the colonial front as the colonial league, but that's nothing so you're good.
 
Ok, so the reason I've been going so slow is because I've been trying to give time for characters to appear, but if we'd all prefer I can start moving things along and have either Kaiju or bandits attack the town and everyone can be introduced either during or after that. Otherwise we'll just keep talking for a bit until everyone has at least put an intro in.


Let me know what you guys think and we'll go from there.

Does that mean all Kaiju and bandit occurances will be run by you? Because my intros usually begin with a fight, and that's how I wanted it to happen.

I won't be controlling them all directly if that's what you're asking but I will usually be the one who introduces the fact that we're fighting now and against what, but just for NPC stuff so I can try and move us in a direction. Although perhaps rather than trying to quietly shuffle everyone along I'll just start posting in here a sort of "this is where we are, this is where we need to be" type announcement and let everyone figure out how we get there. I don't know, I'll be experimenting here early on to see what works best for everyone.


But anyway, if you want to introduce yourself as fighting something not far from the town, the rest of us could use that to spring in to action and come help.
 
Boy, it, uh, Sure is quite today. Well, I guess since no one ever posted or anything I'll just go on ahead and start the fight. If anyone is still around we'll go from there I guess.

I'm actually writing something up as we speak. I've been writing for the past like 10 minutes, trying to add in a point in the fight where other mechs would be able to join, and how they became aware of the position
