It didn't make any sense. One second the fledgling was threatening his life, calling him prey, and then the next she was offering her surrender to him. All within the span of a few moments.


Gage took in Jess, his arms falling along both the girls in a small group hug. Tate, however, had held back his arms dropping to his sides as he tried to register the last few minutes. He broke it up into parts, digesting it slowly before clearing his throat and breaking up the affectionate link between the three. "Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing happens to any of you." As he said this, his crystal hues shimmered with something that only Gage could believe to be a promise.


"We need to get to an Inn, it's going to storm soon."


The eldest picked up the drooping blond girl, her lack of energy somehow spreading to the rest of them.


Gage yawned, rubbing his tired goldenrod eyes and shoving off after the redhead. "And food?" He asked hopefully, only to receive a soft chuckle from Tate.

Claire felt herself yawn and rub her eyes.


"Jess as long as you're okay you don't have to be sorry." She smiled and nodded her own dark hair bounced as her head moved. She looked to Tate and attempted to match the glimmer in his eyes with her own. It failed she was tired, the whole situation had drained her. She often thought did she care to much. Times like this made her think so.


"Tate you don't have to hold me..." Jess started. Her new found reslove still lingering and giving her some new found vigor. She sighed though relaxing in to him. Jess has a thing for being held, it relaxed her like nothing else. She was starting to to think she had a thing for Tate. "I should show him how much I care." She thought as her eyes shut. "How much he puts up with... but gets no reward."
