Fandom Mass Effect: Endeavor

Anyone doing anything special for the 4th?

I just recently started playing the first Mass Effect again, and that's about all I'll be doing today.

I'm eating out with the family.

I can only wish I could replay Mass Effect but I don't have my old gen console anymore, ugh. I'm just waiting for Mass Effect Andromeda and Fallout 4 to come out.

Bottle rocket wars with the fam and a party tonight. I replay Mass Effect like it's my job and might have refreshed the E3 conference info 1000 times the day EA was making their announcements for Andromeda..

So while we're waiting, what was your favorite aspect of the Mass Effect series? What do you hope to see in Andromeda?

@Halluxenogen

Wasn't sure if you wanted to get a post in before Krezk sends Pickle off? I know there isn't much to respond to if Yenne is just watching, but post order and all. If you'd like I'll have Krezk continue.

Glad that was sorted out. Annndd the previous questions still are up for discussion.

I'd love to see them incorporate some of the lessons learned from DA: Inquisition. So open areas that aren't such a chore to explore, but are actually full of content. Especially if their new theme is exploration. Of course, with the Mako 2.0 areas would probably have to be larger, and thus maybe not as dense as DA: I, but I'd really love it if I was no longer going to a planet's surface just to look at three things that my electronics skill is too low for, and to shoot a few husks. Also, personally, I don't ever want to scan another planet for resources ever again. Thinking specifically of ME: 2 here. I understood the reason for it as a gameplay mechanic and (time waster) 'artificial lengthener' and I did it because I wanted all the best gear and to find the side missions, but I hated how it was dependent on a finite resource that literally had no other purpose (the probes) and how it took so long because, even after the upgrade, the scanner was so damn slow. I actually liked how in ME 1 there was just a little option to scan whatever planet or asteroid you were currently orbiting, it just felt so much more efficient.

I think it'd be cool to see more female turians, and female drell characters. Oh! I'd also love for there to be some sort of visual change to your squadmates as you change/upgrade their gear. Hmm... Oh! If they decide to include previous locations like Omega, the Citadel, or Illium, I'd love for them to be expanded with more areas to explore.

Now, I've never played ME 3, so maybe some of these things have been done already. Still, that's what I'd like to see.

ME3 really fixed the planet exploration system, it was very clean and touch-and-go. Pretty painless, except for the fact that if you were trying to be a completionist about it you ended up spending an hour just on running around to godforsaken planets picking up little artifacts for random people on the Citadel. The only time you had to land was if there was an optional side mission to do, and they were usually fun and fast. The system was much better and more enjoyable, in my opinion.

In Andromeda I really want to see, like previously mentioned, more expansion on the races/genders that were hardly touched in the trilogy. I'm mostly interested in great character development and plot, so I'm hoping for some extremely dynamic characters to rival those of the trilogy and a plot that's going to be constantly interesting and compelling.

OK, I was going to have a post up, and then I underestimated how late class was going to go. Sorry about that. But it's in the works though, so there's that.

I should have something up by tomorrow afternoon. Also I should be able to get back to those who've been communicating with me via private message around that same time. Good night all.

So we've lost FuzzyPixel (Krezk) due to some real life issues, so everybody pour one out for a lost homie. Other than that, almost had the cops called on my place due to some noise complaints (thank you roommates). So I'll be working on the next post as I now juggle some things around and we'll just see how far I get. Wish me luck...

Finally got that post done and up. Sorry about that guys, normally if I say I'm going to make a post I follow through.

OK, just wanted to let y'all know that I should be able to move things forward a bit tomorrow night.

But tonight I have to finish a paper.

Alright, it's been a minute since anything has happened because I was hoping Grave and Musicality would post some kind of response by now. I'm going to message them both and try to figure out what the deal is, see if they still want to be involved and whatnot. Once I have more information I'll let you guys know what's up and we can figure out what to do, whether we just need to be patient or potentially do some restructuring, etc.

Will have something up by tomorrow night at the latest!

Work is incredibly busy right now as we had a lot of people quit recently.

I thought I made it pretty clear that anyone wishing to join needs to send an application, not just post. Not that I've had time to look at much of anything with summer classes going on, but hey...

Anyway, after turning in this next paper I should be able to post tomorrow and try and get things rolling again.
