Fantasy Many Will Fall

Anika

Anika smiled gratefully at Asriel's words, "I got you,". She subtly expressed her loyalty, while also acknowledging the others so they also knew Anika would do her best to protect them.

Anika then squinted at the announcer, noticing the intriguing marks that decorated his robes. They appeared to be runes, having some meaning behind them, but huffed as she didn't quite have the skill to understand them. She looked at Asriel, her being a wizard, her arcana should help in deciphering the intricate designs. This should help further identify what we're dealing with.

Making sure to speak quietly, Anika's intentions were to only allow Asriel to hear her request, "Asriel, can you understand the symbols on his robes?"

Asriel

"I can surely try. There's no harm in trying,
right?
" Asriel whispered back as she had noted the quiet words spoken to her and gave a small smile in response. Seeing as her arcana would help with deciphering, she took initiative and decided to use it to her advantage, her eyes beginning to glow a soft blue which wasn't all too noticeable unless someone was observing her hardcore. The golden detailed ruins only glowed within her vision and she waited patiently to see if the ruins would pop out with words or whether they would transform into words for everyone to see. She was truly curious about the ruins and what would happen as she worked to decipher them.

Vayle noticed the couple of scars that lined his face, seeming more like battle scars than anything. If he was the announcer of the arena, could he have been a gladiator himself at some point? Taking a stiff posture, she nodded towards Amadeus. "What do you mean by 'better'?" she asked, seemingly with defiance in her voice. She turned her head back towards the other member of her fellowship, specifically towards Karnios and the two monks, waving her hand for him to join her in case things went sour. Surely the wizardress' analysis of the runes Anika mentioned would prove fruitful.

Raymond
Making sure to correctly associate names to faces, Ray nods and smiles with each player he meets. Seeing as how everyone turned their attention to the man in the robe, he does so as well before the tip message enters his mind. He does have the Nature skill, but could not quite see how it could be useful at the given moment. It would not hurt to give it a try. He attempts to tap into his skill just to see if he could pick up on something, anything at this point.

"At this point, I just hope I do well," Ray mutters to himself as a response to what the robed man stated. With the group already having some sort of experience in battle, he would at least hope he would not be too much of a burden. Then again, seeing as how there was another monk on the team, he might be able to learn a thing or two from him even if it was simply just to hit an opponent correctly.

Dror listened to the others talk before Amadeus spoke to them. It wasn't too surprising, a character was there so he had to talk to them at some point, though the name was interesting. It made him think of the song. When the information about skills appeared in his mind, he nodded absentmindedly. He'd used a couple of the skills during his fight back in the arena.

He drew his focus to Amadeus, activating his Insight skill, hoping to gain more information on the man. Even if he didn't, he could still gain preemptive information if the man suddenly attacked him. This was a video game, the situation could change according to a script at the drop of a hat. It was better to be prepared.

When Vayle questioned the man and looked back towards them, he moved towards her left, keeping some distance in case of attack, not from her though. If the man in front of them possessed wide attack abilities, it was best not to stay to clumped together.

Nodding to Vayle, he decided to let her take point in this. From the previous battle, her provoke skill was quite useful in distracting enemies.

Still, he was waiting for the opposite party to attack first. That was how he'd always played games, wait for the enemy to attack because there was always another way than just outright fighting. It seemed to prove true for this game as well considering the tool tip that had popped up previously.

He looked towards the other Monk, Raymond "The game handles a lot of the movements, you just have to have the intent to do whatever it is you are trying to do" he said, hoping that his explanation was useful. That was the way he handled fighting, he just let his body move the way it was supposed to move.

He just felt that, as he had been in the previous battle before, he might be able to offer some of his experience.

The runes on Amadeus's robes were magical in nature to be sure. A fire mage, one of tremendous power it would seem by the complexity of the rune combinations. While the emphasis was definitely in the realm of fire, arcane runes also lined the red cloth. Overall, Amadeus was reminiscent of an archmage.

The fauna that rose in the planters were identified as the "phacelia" flower, commonly seen in high mountainous regions. In the background, around the academy, pines (called Galnyr pines) rose high with sturdy, both factors indicating their hundreds of years of existence. By the maturity of the flora, the place in which the monk was standing was no new settlement.

The intent was not clear. He was definitely not hostile, that was for certain. He possessed an air of great intellect which could be seen at work as he stood before them, but his intentions remained a mystery.

The man gave a small smile before a women dressed in royal blue leather with silver details approached. On her breast was the symbol of a raven's head with its beak open, etched with silver threading. "Welcome to Valorian Academy. You have passed your combat examination and Amadeus has seen you fit to be welcome within this school to further establish your abilities." Above her head, a name appeared only briefly, just as Amadeus's had: "Oliviana Crowpeaker, <Headmistress of Valorian Academy>." "So, shall we begin?"

Asriel

Asriel took in the information and smiled in response, her shoulders relaxing as she realized the man would be of no harm. The glowing in her eyes ceased as she look to Anika. "There are two different things the runes are pointing out. The first describe a firemage, and one of serious power. The second is arcane. It who asked for it and spoke out quietly. " looks almost like an archmage." Her voice was soft as she spoke, and it wasn't until the man's smile and the arrival and words of the woman that she caught on.

Confusion lay on her face, almost as if she was completely on a different level upon hearing that where they stood was pretty much a school to further there classes with magic and such. The fact that she had passed the exam truly excited her and she displayed her excitement with a proud smile and nodded softly. "Definitely ready!" She called out excitedly and gave a soft bounce where she stood, looking around at the other players after and quieting down.

Anika

Anika smiled softly, yet graciously, at Asriel, then took a second look at Amadeus. The skill and power that single man must possess sent a wave of awe and intimidation through Anika. She started to grow respect for the archmage, for he's presenting himself with an aura of authority, as well as respect towards our group.

When the beauty of a woman approached, Anika couldn't help but admire the colors and symbols that she adorned. She, too, showed a level of advancement that began to earn Anika's respect. She couldn't help but feel a burning pride upon hearing that she and her friends were worthy to move on;

however, caution lingered in Anika's subconscious, for these two were still strangers to her, and definitely looked cunning enough to deceive her group if they wanted to. She remembered how Amadeus played to the crowd in the arena, and thought how he might think of her and her new friends as pawns to something bigger.

Nonetheless, as Anika started to examine the woman, she nodded with a polite smile, signaling her readiness for the next level.

Vayle

The warrior-lady stiffened her posture and nodded, clutching her sword by the hilt while the tip of the blade rested on the ground. "Show me the way." She didn't completely trust the two of them, having no way of telling what their intentions were, but they didn't seem to be threats. Powerful, yes, but not hostile. Wherever it was that they would take, she hoped it would elevate her abilities. The taunt proved useful, but she wanted to more.

Dror frowned when he didn't get much on the guy but as long as there was no hostile intent, he was fine. He was really surprised when the woman showed up, he hadn't even noticed her arrival. However, his expression quickly dropped when she mentioned that there was a school.

He didn't like schools. He'd been a loner all his school years and hadn't made many friends. Most of the time, he spent his days reading, even in class. For him, they always meant a tedious grind until you got out. He wanted to refuse and go off on his own adventure but, as he looked around and saw the others beginning to agree, he sighed and rubbed the back of his head before answering the woman "Yeah, I guess I am ready as well" he didn't like the idea of going to a school but he was making friends and that was his original goal for buying the game.

Besides, unlike real world school, this was a school where a battle to the death in an arena was considered an examination. Dror felt a little confident that he wasn't going to be sitting in a classroom all day. Even if he did, he could probably find some books or something pertaining to his skills and raise their levels.

Raymond
Taking in the information that he found through his Nature skill, Ray hums softly to himself in thought. A settlement that has been around for such plants to mature to this point has definitely been around for quite some time, perhaps around a couple hundred years. The question that came shortly after was exactly how long? He shakes himself away from his thoughts as the newcomer approaches. With their friendly nature, he could not help but smile in return as she greets the group.

"Seeing as how we've gotten to this point, it would be a shame not to begin," he chimes. "Any kind of advancement of my abilities would be more than appreciated." He turns back to Dror and flashes him a smile as well. "And thank you for the tip." Seeing Asriel in such an excited state, Ray could not help but to feel a bit of the energy she gave off fuel his own excitement for what lies ahead.

Without another word, the two NPCs began walking towards the academy. The breeze was light and carried the scent of mysterious flowers. As the players followed them over the bridge and towards the structure, the doors to the school would open up. Two guards stood at the entrance, almost like statues. They were heavily armored and wielded great lances at their side. Olivianna walked through while Amadeus simply saw them through the door before turning to go his own way. As the students passed through the doors, they closed before anyone could follow the archmage.

Olivianna turned. As she did, 2 individuals emerged atop the stairs that were central to the room. Olivianna spoke, introducing each of them to their respective students. "Karnios, Vayle, and Anika, the three of you will be joining Sir Thyrion Ironguard," ( DrHuggies DrHuggies Raziel Raziel ). "Asriel, Raymond, and Dror, the three of you will be joining Sairo Wildwalker," ( Äsrï룣 Äsrï룣 A Amwvufkwbqobd9 Seraph Darkfire Seraph Darkfire ).

The two professors nodded to their students. Thyrion was a massive individual, clad in mostly leather armaments that gave him something of a casual appearance. Sairo was garbed in cream-colored robes and a necklace of wooden orbs hanging over his chest. Olivianna spoke up once more: "You're training will begin when the lot of you are ready." The two professors seemed to have a light glow about them as if urging the players to approach their designated teachers.

Asriel
Ravenheart Ravenheart

Asriel followed along blindly whenever the two powerful figures began to walk towards the academy, excitement bubbling inside her as she felt as though she had finally started to belong.

Upon watching the archmage leave, Asriel became more a more curious by the minute and even just the sight of the two new bodies that appeared simultaneously. She couldn't figure out if they had showed up ny magic, or just walked up as her attention followed the head mistress.

"Normally I would stray from following strangers, but given the circumstances and the fact that I have so much to learn, I think this is my best shot to better myself," she whispered tenderly to herself while she carefully inspected the very wise and very intimidating looking man in which she automatically percieved as her teacher. Before stepping forward and introducing herself, she gave a few glances around her fellow peers before giving a soft smile and stepping toward her designated teacher. She noted the glowing which only encouraged her more, to which she soon moved to stand beside him and look to her peers with an encouraging smile.

Anika
Anika squealed to herself and hopped from foot to foot. This game never ceased to amaze her! She had to tilt her chin up in order to see all of Thyrion, which sent an odd shiver of admiration through her. It made sense that she was sent to him, for he seemed to be more of the physical teacher, while the other looked to practice in the arcane arts.

Already, her shots with her bow were landing true, so she was thrilled to improve upon her skill set. She glances over at Dror, who seemed the most nervous, and sent him a reassuring smile. She nods softly, hoping to encourage the monk. He could be a very powerful ally with this training, indeed.

Seeing her friend, Asriel, step up to her teacher, Anika followed suit. The ancient feeling of this environment gave the school an aura of well-earned respect. Stepping beside Thyrion, she looked brightly at the other two who were to join her, and glanced with a hint of worry at those that she may be parted from.

Raymond
"Sairo Wildwalker," Ray whispers to himself, familiarizing himself with the name. That name associates itself with the instructor he is to train under, so it is a bit too important to forget. He repeats the name to himself a few more time before smiling to himself. The thought of training brought a mix of both fear and excitement, more of the latter than the former. Trying not to waste any time, he approaches his glowing instructor and nods to both Asriel and Dror. "I look forward to training with you two," he states. After all, what better way to grow as a team than to train as one? he thought to himself.

Following along with the rest of the group and when he saw the guards at the gate, he frowned. They looked a lot more intimidating than the Skirmishers they'd battled before. When their teachers were announced Dror began to wonder how the teachers had been selected. He thought that it was because of their respective classes. While he and Raymond had the same class, Asriel didn't. He assumed that they were placed together because they all used Mana in their attacks.

'Sairo Wildwalker?' Dror smiled to himself at the name 'Certainly is a video game' he looked at Asriel and Raymond when the latter spoke to them as he stepped up to Sairo "Yeah" he said grinning "This looks like it'll be a lot of fun, and unlike real training, this probably won't hurt as badly"
