Fantasy Many Will Fall

Asriel
Hp: 17/17
Mana: 5/5
Position: L3 --> N5

Asriel noted the lightness in her body as she felt the transition from her real body to her in-game body, and took her time getting adjusted with the body that she now occupied to ensure no mistakes would be made. Her virtual eyes took time to adjust to the dimly light room while she gently walked around a tad to get a true hole of her surrounding. The crisp virtual air was strangely refreshing to her virtual lungs, and she greatly enjoyed the feel of the cloth armor. She quickly grew wrapped up in the virtual body that she occupied, an almost bell like sound caught her attention after a while and she noticed a bright colored button labeled "Enter-Game." It dawned on her the very reason that she had joined was to play and so she pressed the button, soon watching as the once quiet stone walls melted away into a room that contained the other players she had expected to join up with before entering the game.

"Yeesh.. I must be extremely late," she spoke out loud to herself while quietly taking in her surroundings. Her medium sized hands gripped tightly onto her weapon of choice - dueling staff - rather tightly as she seemed to take in the combat that everyone was involved in. She took her time observing and watching all others and taking notes that each player seemed to occupy a different class, and work together at the same time. It was impressive, but quite confusing at the same time as she had no idea where to look.

Her eyes rose from the players around her to take in the scenery and she instantly knew that it was an arena. It explained the loud excitement that she heard while watching, and she couldn't help but feel a sense that she was being watch.
Talk about sadistic. Upon realizing that a battle wastaking place in which she needed to involve herself, Asriel wanted to figure out all that she can, despite the dire need to help kick up the battle. In all fairness, she had just arrived and had no knowledge about the enemy, and even more so was unaware of exactly how many there were. "Does that mean that I need to fight my own?" She wasn't much of a fighter, but knew that getting herself into something as such would be a leap out of her comfort zone. Let the fight begin?

Round 4
MAP

E-13 -> F-10
The Skirmisher rushed forward as the monk leaped onto the pillar, her long sword gripped with two hands. Dror could easily hear the skirmisher she called to her allies without taking her eyes off the monk. "Surround the pillar, give him no where to run!" She kept herself in a readied stance, with her long sword in a tight grip at her side.

C14 & D14 -> H10 & E10
One of the skirmishers sought to flank around the east side of the pillar, while the other took to the first's side in case the monk were to attempt any other movements.

(Vermilion Skirmisher)

Karnios Stonehide
HP: 23/23
Stamina: 5/5
Position: Q7 > Q12
Infuriate | 3 rounds

Karnios ran forwards in front of an enemy skirmisher and let out a roar of fury waving his huge battleaxe over his head and bringing it down onto the skirmisher just to his side. Karnios wasn't too experienced in battle, but he knew the weight and speed of his axe would easily cut through the armor of the enemy, or at least do significant damage. He was hyped up on adrenaline, only wanting to crush the enemy so he could mow through and move on to the next.

He felt an unspeakable fury from within him, strengthening him and allowing him to hit harder, driving him forth and into the skirmishers.
(Can I hit him from this square or do I have to move a bit closer?)

Bayar
HP: 15/15
Mana: 5/5
Targeting skirmisher at H10

Bayar looked over the shoulders of the figures around him. He watched as the monk at the opposite end leapt into the air and seemed to cling to the pillar on the far side. The skirmishers were quick to capitalize on his isolation, moving in around the base of pillar, evidently trying to keep him treed, and away from his team members. If there was a time for a well-placed strike, this was it.

Bayar felt the chaos energy flow through him, seeming to grow from the earth at his feet up through his body, moving through him with a hot, crackling intensity. The loose ends of the rags around his face whipped around him as the swirling energy moved from his legs, to his torso, to finally encompass his whole form. His feet felt rooted to the earth, drawing the dark power from the earth below them; his hands felt ablaze with pure energy that seemed unable to be contained. He aimed his attack at the nearest skirmisher, one of the three focusing on the monk, and felt the dark energy course through him, from his back, through his shoulders, to his outstretched hands. The chaos energy blazed from his fingertips, and darkness overtook them, enveloping his fingers, his hands, and his arms until they could scarcely be seen through violet plasma which burned along them. The chaos bolt formed between his hands, pulsing and scintillating as if it would explode at any moment. The ink-black energy leapt from his hands and torpedoed across the arena.

As the warrior ran forward in a fit of powerful anger, the Skirmisher went to block with his blade. The Skirmisher, however, was either too slow or too weak, it didn't matter. The axe dug deep into the Skirmisher's side, the sound of flesh and bone splitting upon impact was audible over the cheer of the crowd that had unleashed over the new action. The Skirmisher fell limp upon the axe and then on the dusty ground. The other Skirmishers, however, were on the move. The two closest to the warrior formed to flank him, while another seemed to bolt north towards where Karnios had come from.

While the warrior was engaged, the bolt of violet and white energy cast from the sorcerer in the background would soar across the battlefield, between both Pandora and Anika, and collide with the Skirmisher that was facing Vayle at the northwest pillar. The chaotic energies erupted and seemed to cause a small explosion against the Skirmisher's torso that caused him to clutch his chest, hunched over in pain. Though hurt, the skirmisher spat blood kept his long sword ready to defend himself, though his eyes were glancing about to seek the source of his suffering. Any player looking at this Skirmisher would see more numbers indicating a health bar: 6/15.

Anika
HP: 15/15
Stamina: 5/5
Position: K-7

Watching intently as the large one charged off and away, Anika was confused and concerned when the female did not follow him. The rogue stayed still as the warrior distracted the skirmishers for her, and Anika felt a nurturing worry fuel inside of her for the warrior. She shoots a look at the woman, urging her to follow with her word. ( CrimsonEclipse CrimsonEclipse )

She smiles proudly and laughs when the large one finishes off the one that she shot. When the skirmisher crumples to the ground, she sucks in a breath and halts her hopping for a second, grateful that her range allows her to spare herself of such gore-full scenes. The thrill of the small victory, however, exceeds the unsettling feeling tickling her stomach.

She scanned the arena. The man on the pillar made her smile: agility. She liked that. She also liked how there was a larger female there to support him with the three nearby. There was a lone skirmisher trying to sneak his way by on the left side, I see you.. Buuut you're not a threat. Not yet, at least. The male warrior, however, drew more of her concern.

She hops lightly on the balls of her feet as she eagerly draws an arrow from her quiver. She pauses, letting herself calm enough to make another true shot. Taking in a large breath, her muscles again calmed as she raised her bow and aimed at the enemy to the side of the large ally (R-12). At the end of her exhale, her fingers let loose another arrow.

As the corpse fell to the ground before Karnios, an arrow from Anika flew past his back and struck one of the approaching Skirmishers (R-12), allowing both Karnios and Anika to see 9/15 appear above the wounded combatant. The other Skirmisher that was confronting Karnios, took the opportunity in this moment to strike at the warrior's leg. The attack would prove weak, however, as if the Skirmisher hesitated in his attempt to hit the warrior.

Swanson
HP:18/18
Stamina: 5/5

Swanson heard the female skirmisher shout an order to her comrades, and watched as they moved to surround the monk. Quite the mouth on her, eh? He decides that it would be best to put an end to her incessant shouting. But, Swanson had learned early in life that patience was a virtue, so he nocks an arrow, and takes a moment to line up his shot. Breathe in.... and out... in... and shoot! The arrow is launched from his bow and flies towards his target. (Vermilion Skirmisher @ F-10)

Vayle
HP: 17/17
Stamina: 5/5
Position: H8 -> H10

The Skirmisher ran up and stared at her, but Vayle wasn't intimidated. Just as the warrior went to move, a bolt of energy struck the Skirmisher, albeit not enough to knock him down for good. Vayle could see the health numbers appear above the Skirmisher's head and she couldn't help but smirk to herself. Taking her broadsword in hand, she ran forward the short distance to gain a little momentum, putting that force behind the overhead swing that she would deliver on this Skirmisher. As she rushed, she could hear the barbaric roar of the other warrior across the field, but Vayle couldn't spare the moment to glance. Once this Skirmisher was down, she knew she could turn to help the monk that had got himself up on the pillar, but nothing more.

The bolt zipped through the air and seemingly just below where Dror was hanging from. However, the arrow nicked the pillar, deflecting just enough for Swanson to miss his target and see the arrow fly between the two potential targets. Recognizing the presence of an archer, the two remaining Skirmishers on the west side put their blades up in a protective stance. The Skirmisher that was not Swanson's target spoke up, his eyes fixed on Swanson. "I'll take care of the bowman!" The Skirmisher (E-13) was ready to dash.

The Skirmisher on the other side of the pillar put up his sword while clutching his chest, a defense that was easily blown through by Vayle's assault as the top five inches of her blade cut through the Skirmisher's torso and gut before leaving the victim. Blood gushed onto Vayle's armor and specks landed on her face. The Skirmisher dropped instantly, however, and the uniform was split open, revealing what seemed like such a real human corpse. Truly hard to believe it was all virtual. The announcer calls up from the stands, "Ladies and gentlemen of the audience, we're off to a nasty start as our gladiators have already eliminated two skirmishers!" The roar of the crowd grew louder and louder.

Dror
HP: 16
Mana: 3
Position: F-9 --> D-10

"Damn" Dror realized that his plan wasn't going to work quite as well as he thought it would. He quickly slid down the pillar and kicked off the ground, rushing along side the two Skirmishers ahead of them and arriving at their side. He wondered how realistic the physics in this game were. His physical ability was certainly impressive.

'Wait...how do I use abilities?' he found that he didn't actually know how to use his ability. He didn't remember way to do so. When he thought about it, it was kind of stupid of him for not realizing how to do it. From what he'd saw before, the magical classes had books and the warrior classes had some kind of stance or something their body did before activation.

He sighed softly 'Lets see if an old favorite will work' he thought as he suddenly knelt down, moving at an angle before lunging forwards and thrusting both of his hands out "Qi Burst!" from under his navel, a strange cool energy flowed up through his spine and into his arms. With a pulse of energy, the attack rushed towards the Skirmisher ahead of him.

His plan was to use the attack to knock the first Skirmisher into the second one next to them. He'd seen these types of attacks done in other games.

latest

The blast of the Qi energy shocked the Skirmisher, forcing him to take a step back. The blow, however, was not strong enough to knock him back in his partner, and the two seemed to switch roles in a brief comment by the female Skirmisher. "I'll take the archer!" she called and started toward Swanson. The Skirmisher that Dror struck, returned to a combative stance in quick recovery. Above his head, however, Dror could see a distinguished: 11/15.

Round 5
MAP

R-12 -> R-11; T-9 -> O-6
The Skirmisher that Anika had hit with an arrow recomposed himself quickly, taking his long sword and swing it in an upward arc towards the warrior's chest. At the same time, the Skirmisher that had struck at Karnios just before seemed to step back as his ally struck out. Meanwhile, the Skirmisher that had split from her allies darted towards the wizard that seemed to be standing around. She would have went for the robed man, but the female was closer, and the Skirmisher went in for a down-swing with her long sword on the wizard.

E-10 -> D-10
After the monk had struck out with natural energy, the Skirmisher attacked, regained his composure with quick response, taking his long sword in a defensive stance. Quickly, however, the Skirmisher would take the blade in both hands and swing the blade in a backhanded down-swing towards Dror's core, stepping forward in the process. His ally took up a position against the pillar, taking a pause before commencing her charge on Swanson.

Karnios Stonehide
HP: 21/23
Stamina: 5/5
Position: Q12 -> Q12
Infuriate | 2 rounds

Karnios took the blow to the leg, wincing at the pain that shot through his body, enraging him further and sending more adrenaline coursing through his veins. He was amazed at how real the pain felt, scared, yet also excited. This was the real deal. He let out a roar and leaped forwards at the skirmisher in front of him, hoping to knock him down and kill him with the axe, allowing him to quickly turn around and face the other skirmisher.

The attack launched by the warrior was dodged by the Skirmisher's quick side-step, however the Skirmisher's attack was thrown off and only nicked Karnios's arm, giving him another small wound to account for. The second Skirmisher took the opportunity to perform a side-swing to hit Karnios's back while he was distracted by the other combatant. The attack would prove hard to miss and the warrior could feel the steel's bite against his shoulder-blade which proved definitely more painful than his other two injuries.

DrHuggies DrHuggies Karnios loses 7 HP total.

Vayle
HP: 17/17
Stamina: 4/5
Position: H10 -> H10

Vayle rounded the pillar with a Skirmisher's corpse at her feet. She had to keep from tripping over the body which was an interesting feature for a video game, one she certainly didn't make expect, but it made sense. As she did, she turned and saw the female Skirmisher looking ready to bolt, probably towards the bowman that Vayle passed by. Upon seeing the Skirmisher, Vayle narrowed her eyes and felt a sensation of blazing energy flowing through her body. "Hey, you!" Vayle shouted, keeping her broadsword at her waist as she provoked her target. The blazing sensation continued to flow through her as she saw her new opponent approach. As the Skirmisher turned to face her, Vayle took up a defensive stance with her broadsword's tip pointed down and the blade acting as a makeshift shield, ready to receive the Skirmisher's attack.

The female Skirmisher turned and with a ferocious yell, the Skirmisher charged Vayle with her long sword over her head. The Skirmisher went to perform a side-swing, which Vayle's blade would easily deflect up into the air. The Skirmisher would lose her balance and grab to pillar to regain it, giving the warrior a golden opportunity to retaliate.

G-10 Skirmisher, Provoke | 2 Rounds

Dror
HP: 16
Mana: 4
Position: D-10 --> E-11
Qi Burst Cooldown: 4 Rounds
Ravenheart Ravenheart
Dror's first instinct was to move away from the sword aiming towards him. It was natural, he'd never actually been in a fight before, in fact, he wasn't even sure how to actually hit the Skirmisher. It was strange, at this moment, he felt fear. Even though he understood that this was a game, everything was so real. The blood rushed through his body, pushed along by his rapidly beating heart. His eyes became unfocused as he completely relaxed.

He didn't know how to fight, but the system had all of the movements programmed into his artificial body. He just needed to use this body and not think about anything else, let it all just...empty out.

Acrobatics was activated as he took a step forward into the Skirmisher's attack. He dropped his hips and moved to dodge and roll under the blade, moving towards the Skirmisher's left side. The problem for him was that the Skirmisher was in Plate Armor and he didn't possess any blunt or bladed weapons to aim for the spots where the armor was open, just his fists.

Instead, with his low position, he was capable of striking his fist out at the Skirmisher's left knee, aiming for the spot where the armor was weakest, the joints. If he could cripple the Skirmisher, if they could be crippled in this game, he'd have a better chance of beating them down.

The blade would sing past Dror as he ducked and dodged the incoming blow. As the monk moved to strike, the plate armor worn by the Skirmishers didn't prove to be very resistant. The monk's weaponized fist came down on the Skirmisher's knee as cool energy coursed through him, seemingly guiding his fist in action. Upon impact, bone could be heard cracking throughout the Skirmisher's leg and he quickly collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain. As Dror would look upon his opponent, the following numbers would portray the Skirmisher's health: 3/15.

Anika
HP: 15/15
Stamina: 5/5
Position: K-7

"Shit!" Anika spits as she whips around, hearing the commotion behind her, "I underestimated how fast these little.." She growls under her breath and barks at the sorcerer, pointing at the skirmisher going for the wizard (O-7), "HEY SORCERER! SHOOT THAT ONE FOR ME!". She's seen the power that he can emit and aim, and was almost jealous of the dangerous beauty of it. She had faith that he would at least slow the one attacking the wizard down, as she whisked herself the opposite direction and aimed at the two hounding down on the male warrior. ( T TuxedoSquid )

She could feel her excited heart making her body thrum, making her aim shaky. She sees the health points over the warrior dwindle and she mentally smacks herself into shape, calling on what was making her overwhelmed and channeling it to her farshot. With a quick but deep breath, she knocks an arrow just enough further back than before to make a significant difference. She hated seeing anyone outnumbered, and the skirmisher that dodged the warrior's blow locked himself in her aim. Her fingers release, and the arrow flies with invigorated speed towards the skirmisher in front of him (Q-13).

Asriel
Hp: 17/17
Mana: 5/5
Position: N5
Asriel was snapped from her curious stance at the words that were shouted at her and she instantly looked to her side and held up her staff. She drew in a deep breath and closed her eyes to focus all of her energy on the nearing skrimisher before opening her eyes to reveal a subtle glowing blue. Her focused energy caused a subtle light to emit from around her and with a flick of her hand, she used her very special Frostbolt ability to slow down the skrimisher enough so that someone was able to run to her aid in order to help out.

She had never been involved in something so real before and the tingling sensation that came from the ability as she used it caught her off guard. Though the ability be cold, it created a heat that covered every bit of her flesh which felt almost as though she had been set on fire - without the actual burn of course. It was a comfortable heat that filled her with pride as she managed to complete a talent. In all honesty, she hoped that she had proved herself useful.

"Thanks for the heads up!" She nodded in the direction of the archer who was busy taking down one skrimisher after another without hardly breaking a sweat. Had it not been for her, Asriel probably would have been wounded quite bad since her armor wasn't even truly considered armor, let alone much of a protectant. I owe you one. ( Asteraflora Asteraflora )

She drew in a deep breath and realization hit her that just because the skirmisher was slowed down didn't mean that she was safe from being attacked. "
I need some coverage over here though! Someone cover me!" She looked around a tad, hoping that anyone nearby would hear her plee and would offer some assistance.

Anika's arrow, while nocked, seemed to have wisps of air whirling around the arrowhead. The sound it made upon being released was like that of a swift gust of wind. Upon impact with the Skirmisher that had just wounded Karnios, the Skirmisher dropped to a knee, holding his hand around the arrow in his stomach, the numbers 6/15 appearing over his head as his health. The frost bolt that would conjur in the hands of the wizard seemed to center around a shard of ice. As the bolt was sent off and immediately crashed against the nearby target, the Skirmisher's chest would be covered in a layer of ice and over the Skirmisher's head, one could see 8/15 to represent her health.The Skirmisher, however, had already reached her target, and lunged with her long sword despite the frost hindering her movement. As Asriel called out to Anika, the blade ran through the right side of Asriel's chest. The blood was indeed a nauseating site.

Asriel loses 10 HP.

Swanson
HP:18/18
Stamina: 5/5
"Huh," Swanson mutters. He shrugs, then sees that a fearsome woman with a large broadsword had provoked the wench that he had just missed with his arrow. That's awful convenient. Maybe I should take this opportunity to help a different ally... he thinks, looking over at the enormous, bull of a man fighting alone on the other side of the arena. Swanson sees two skirmishers attacking the large man. He focuses for a second, then as he draws his arrow back he can feel a sort of cold, calmness come over his upper body. He is able to draw the bow's string further back, with ease, and fire a powerful shot at the leftmost skirmisher.
Farshot @ Skirmisher (R-12)

The arrow flew far, over Anika's shoulder and just past Karnios. But as the arrow was due to impact the target, the Skirmisher shifted his position, just enough to where the arrow singed his neck, leaving a streak of blood over his armor. It was enough to cause the Skirmisher to yell in pain as he leaned back with this hand immediately pressing against this exposed wound. His health appeared to be 5/15 as the arrow smacked against the ground.

Round 6
MAP

G-10; E-10
The Skirmisher attacking Vayle slammed into the pillar and quickly tried desperately to recover, turning around and attempted to throw an armored fist at Vayle. Meanwhile the Skirmisher with a shattered leg seemed to start crumpling on the ground with Dror standing over him.

R-12
Despite the most recent injury, the Skirmisher in front of Karnios charged forth, going to put his shoulder into Karnios's chest.

While all of this was happening the announcer thundered from atop his perch: "Ladies and gentlemen, it appears our dear gladiators are half invincible and half vulnerable! Who will survive and who will fall?" With that, the crowd roared in a glorious frenzy.

(Vermilion Skirmisher)
