It was just about 12 o'clock in the sunny town of New Point. The Sun was shining, the birds were singing and the residents seemed to be active. Mom's Restaurant was packed, just like always. In this little town it seemed like the place to be. But this little town has recently got just a little bit bigger and the long term residents are still adjusting to those who recently moved in.

Maven Erdos

The peaceful sound of the ocean's waves lapping against the sodden sand of New Haven's beach comforted spinning mind. The distant cry of segulls from the harbor, begging fishermen for a piece of their catch. But none of that mattered to Maven, no he hated everything about this foreign world. Opening his deadly icy eyes, he tossed the stone he held in his hand angerly in the vast ocean. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he ran his hand gently through his silver hair. He had just gotten in a heated argument with his father at home, in front of both sisters and his mother which upsetted him most. His bastard of a father, and king, moved his family away from their people, their home! For this mound of land!

Standing up Maven began to walk along the beach, carrying his shoes in hand letting his toes feel the warmth of the sand. He figured one of his sisters or mother would be here shortly, giving him the same old speak. You shouldn't treat your father like that Maven. His mother would tell him after an argument, her kind tone somehow always making it's way to calm him. I know you dislike father, but he is your king and you must respect him. His sisters would say in a attempt to slightly side with him, but the truth being his family always stook with their father, their King. The last thought rolled through his mind like venom off a snakes tongue, and that reason alone is why the royal family was above the water. Their King abandoning them for the humans.

(and if theirs a person to play the king in the future..)

Adrianna Pierce

The small restaurant was crowded - well, as crowded as it can get for a town of 500. So little was the shop that Adrianna could barely see past the myriad of customers as she turned with her sandwich to-go. Quickly, she thanked the girl at the counter and retired to a corner of the room. She scanned the area for a place to sit but came up empty - every seat was taken. It was peak-time here in New Point, and of course, with the sun blazing overhead, no one would want to stay inside. Adrianna was no exception.

She left the stuffy room for the warm weather of the sea-side town. The cool breeze blew through her hair and she held on to the red bow on top of her head, for the fear of it blowing away. Paper bag in hand, she wondered where she should go. Granted it was a small town, so not many possibilities came to mind. There was the Hidden Lake, which was a go-to spot for kids her age, but the risk of walking into something grotesque taking place was too high. No, it would have to the beach. Not that Adrianna minded. The golden sands were always inviting, and the sea crashing in the background music to her ears. Yes, the beach would do. Seagulls above, she started walking towards the cool blue horizon.

It wasn't a long walk. A few blocks down and she could already hear the waves. She followed the palm-tree lined street to her favourite spot on the strip close to the harbour, a patch of shade surrounded by rocks, perfect for an evening fire. Yet today, she seemed to have company. She watched a boy of around her age toss a rock angrily to the sea, with a bitter look on his features. Something struck odd to her. She'd never seen him around town before, and newcomers were rare. He was someone hard to miss - his shock of white hair definitely stood out in the sea of gold and blue that was New Point. But she didn't think too much of it. The day was too beautiful to waste on pointless pondering. Instead, she approached him, a friendly smile on her face and wit in her voice. "Gee, what's the stone done to you?" she asked with an airy laugh.

Taking a deep breath, Maven turned his head over his shoulder to see a teenage human girl. He had expected his younger sister by the tone of the voice, but when he saw the girl he regrettable saw a human instead. "Not in the mood, if you don't mind i'd like to be alone." Strolling off farther down the beach away from the human girl, the sound of the birds beginning to fade away. Finally settling on a large, secluded rock where the sand is a slight shade of gray. Leaning against it, it's earthy smell reminding him slightly off home. Closing his cold eyes, Maven let his mind wander to the distant memory of home.

It would be a lie to say Oula was overjoyed about living in this new, dry, aromatic world, but she wasn't totally against it either. While the ocean was much more pleasing, the human world opened up opportunities to learn and see. There seemed to be some unspoken rule that the mermaid kind couldn't return to the sea once they came to live upon land, but Oula continued to enjoy both worlds by returning to the sea every night. Sometimes she'd stay in the ocean for a full day and return back to the land the next morning.  The only perk that came with being a social outcast was that no one noticed when she was gone and didn't care if they did.

The young woman lay flat along the beach, a beach towel providing minimal comfort as she basked in the glory of the ocean. She had received the towel as a gift from a male human after he saw her inspecting it in a beachwear and supply shoppe although the reason why was unclear to her. A chubby, grinning, animated child with a yellow star in the middle of his red shirt decorated the colorful pastel pink fabric. Oula found it all very appealing.

Oula was learning human customs very quickly. She had learned that when humans went to the beach they wore "swim suits". The helpful woman at the store earlier this morning helped Oula pick out swim suits, calling them "bikinis" and "one pieces". The former consisted of two small bundles of fabric that covered the lovely parts humans found indecent while the latter added fabric that covered the torso. The bubbly woman also picked out a wardrobe full of summer clothing. The woman made it seem like Oula needed all of these items. Oula, leaving the shop with full bags and empty pockets, learned that this woman was a very talented shop keeper.

Oula sat up, pushing away stray platinum locks to look over the salty stretch of blue that lay before her. She was rocking an outfit the shopkeeper had recommended her earlier, hoping that it made her fit in with the nonmermaid crowd. It consisted of a Triangl Poppy-Sea Spritz bikini, and a pair of denim shorts pulled over her lower half. The sensation of having fabric between two tubular limbs was still foreign to her.

Oula pressed a careful hand to the silver circlet around her head. Knowing that the removal of this magical piece of jewelry could reveal the biggest secret on planet earth and put a whole species at danger made her anxious. It was bound to happen eventually, but it wouldn't be her that did it.

With that, the undercover mermaid plopped back down onto her towel and grabbed the book sitting next to her. It was the last of the Inheritance Cycle, Legado, and she was nearly finished with it. With the sound of breaking waves against the shore and the cry of seagulls as her background music, Oula was sucked back into the pages of her story.

To say that Eris was now unhappy was quite the understatement. Maven had always had a difficult time getting along with his father, it was his bloody temper that caused the toxicity between them. Yet even after the many years they had managed to... co-exist if you will, things still tended to get rather heated at times. And integrating themselves into a human society wasn't helping anything. She had been against the idea, very much so and she was sure her eldest son had felt the same way due to his hate for mankind. What sparked such behavior, the woman wasn't sure. Yet now they had to deal with the consequences, that being the next king in line to the throne being the most hot-headed heir they had seen in a long time.

The fight had gone as it normally had. Her husband would try and encourage the young merman to go and and give the new world a chance in which he would respond rather harshly. They house as it was called that they now resided in was soon filled with shouting that drove the elder man behind a closed door and the younger one to where he would always retreat to be alone and clear his head. Eris knew this for it wasn't the first time she had talked to him about such a matter. Now the woman was nearing the harbor, the midday sun reflecting brightly off the water as the sea brought in a cool breeze tainted with salty air. A sharp pang of homesickness struck the queen, her face warping in accordance to such a feeling as a frown tugged on the corners of her lips. They could've moved farther out from shore, fixed their boundaries and forbid anyone from venturing too close where a human could see them. There was something similar in effect, but fate had twisted it in a more than cruel manner. Any merfolk now dwelling on land was to not reenter the sea unless it was absolutely necessary. The words could mean many things as everyone defined "necessary" differently. But there wasn't any point in refuting the restriction as her king had been the one to issue such an order.

As Eris looked onto the beach, she saw Maven move away after speaking to someone who wasn't all that far off... a human girl perhaps? She didn't recognize her so she assumed as such. Allowing her gaze to follow the prince's path, she ignored the human an went after him at a brisk pace despite not being all that comfortable with walking that much. It didn't take long to find him admits a somewhat secluded rocky outcrop that was on the edge of the sea, the man with his eyes closed. Nearing him she sighed "Maven." The woman began slowly. "I know you dislike your father but you can't act that way every time he tries to help you. Being disrespectful isn't the way to go about this."

The sound of sloshed footsteps in the sand bring Maven from his thoughts, as he opens his eyes to see his mother. They were close, since he never had a good relationship with his father, plus the two looked more related than him and his father. Though his hair and eyes were a unique trait from neither parent, his facial complexion was closer to his mother than father. More regal and defined.

"You know well that he isn't doing any good bringing us here," he sighes speaking in his oddly cold tone for his current state of anger. "By doing what he did has put our people in danger, the ones above and under the sea. And he's made our family divided! He's an igrnoant leader if you ask me, Grandfather should've taught him better than let him run wild with you  in your youth. At least i'm taking responsibility for my damn future." Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he crossed his arms and looked directly at his dear mother, not regretting any of his chosen words from his mouth.

It took Eris more than a moment to respond, remaining silent because she knew it was true.  Choosing her word's carefully she held his pale gaze with her violet one firmly. "If me and him hadn't 'ran wild' you nor would your siblings be here and maybe I wouldn't be queen. Fate might've had you born to a mother without a spouse, driven out of her territory and forced to raise you on her own." Pausing for a moment, the woman moved closer to Maven and leaned on the wall beside him, her gaze focusing on the sea as she continued to speak. "You're a smart young man, Marven. Which is why I want you to be grateful for the life you currently have even if it isn't..." She trailed off, searching for a word. "Ideal." Her tone wavering slightly as notes of disdain entered her voice before being replaced with what could only be described as defeat. "Even if we didn't come here and restricted the use of the moonstones... because we wouldn't be able to monitor every single merperson under our rule, something would be bound to go wrong. More humans would become suspicious and that would've been cause for an ever harder existence."

She let her voice fade, not speaking for a minute or two before a thought crept into the back of her mind. Maven was so wound up and had been for the past weeks they had begun to pose as humans. That being said, what would be the best way to relieve him of that built up anger? Eris knew her husband wasn't going to take kindly to this, yet she could simply explain it as one of those... 'necessary' situations. "Give me your necklace." She finally said, looking to him and gesturing towards to water. "If you don't tell your father about this that is and are careful. I don't need you causing humans to become suspicious." Curious at what his response would be, she fell silent and waited.

He knew the moment he let those words out his mother would retort with a response similar to what she said. Maven knew he was fortunate, he loved the power he had, but knowing boys close to their fathers and him being opposite hurt him deeply inside. "We outnumber the meek in this town, as well as humans don't have the technology to dive down far enough to the city. But I see your point." Longing for comfort, he could feel his heart drop colder with every beat, but he knew nothing could thaw his true feelings.

What his mother said next surprised him, and made him smile, a rare occurrence for him. He would love a swim through the crevices under the waters, but the last bit of warmth in his heart knew someone who would enjoy it more. "If you weren't wallowing over me you'd know who needs the oppurtunity more than me." Looking at his mothers jet black hair gently blow in the sea breeze Maven knew she knew exactly who. "She's spiraling into depression, a darker place if I might add where we both know is a much colder and forgiving place that I linger. She needs the ocean, unlike someone I won't name. If it makes you feel any comfort i'll go home with you to take her, since i'm guessing Father with be shut up in his room reading a stupid human book."

As Maven smiled, one tugged upwards on her lips as well, but his answer didn't surprise her. "I've noticed..." Eris sighed, her gaze averting his and focusing back upon the water once more. "I'm worried she might attempt something drastic, that being going out into the water alone or... something more-" She hastily added the last part, moving quickly from the subject. "Regardless I do believe you're right... come, lets get her." With that she pushed herself off of the wall and motioned for him to follow, the two heading back for the house they now resided in.

The walk back didn't take all that long, tugging the door open and entering the building that was still slightly foreign despite the days spent within its walls. First, she went to where she shared a room with her king, the door shut tight with not a sound escaping from within. Not wanting to bother him as he sulked, she moved with her son towards Azura's room. Knocking on the door as to announce their arrival, waited for the young woman to answer.

Azura Erdos

Azura was gazing longingly at her window. Through the clean and clear glass she could see the ocean, see the waves stirring in the night wind. Yet she couldn't see what she truly missed: the world deep, deep under the surface, that not even the sun could reach all its secrets and wonders. The colourful corals, the unique fishes, the might of landscapes that were undefeated to those above water. She miss her tail, graceful and long like her mother's, and how it helped her maneuver in the sea as it seemingly gliding through currents. How dull was the two human legs comparing to her tail, bright blue and shimmered in light with smooth scales.

Somewhere inside her she knew that missing her home too much would only cause trouble for her family. Earlier when her brother and father had the fight, she noticed how her father avoided to talk to her directly on the matter. How sad would the king be, knowing that most of his family did not support him? Azura tried, really tried, but then when she walked on the earth with her two feet, it was as if she was losing a big part of her.

The faint reflection of the sea water beckoned her, and when she heard the knock on her door, she reluctantly pull her gaze away. Has father changed his mind to talk? She opened the door, and was surprised to that her mother came back.

"Mother, you came back." She said, her voice weaker than what she expected. "Is everything okay? How is Maven?"

Following his mother inside, he watched her stop to peer at the closed door to their room where his father would be sitting now. It was a hard temptation to not burst in there and show him what his mother and him were doing to please his now depressed sister for what he did. Leaning against the outer wall of his sisters room, making himself unheard of unseen, Maven decided best his mother should take this one. Dipping his head down as he closed his eyes, listening to his sister question his well-being made his cold straight face perk up slightly. To think Azura, depressed and sadden, would assure his own safety first.

As her daughter opened the door somewhat and asked if her brother was alright, she nodded though thought about her answer before speaking. "He's alright, yes. Your father on the other hand... I'm not so sure." Giving her head a brief shake with a sigh, she lowered her voice just to try and eliminate any possible chance of her husband hearing her. "Come with me and your brother to the harbor, I know something that just might lift your spirits a bit." With that Eris let her eyes drift over Azura, wondering if she would have any idea what she meant.

Azura Erdos

Azura understood that her mother was trying to tell her something, but she couldn't guess. Recently it just felt that her head was tired. It didn't matter, because as soon as she heard the word "harbour" her mood lightened up, and was ready to go. For a brief moment a shadow of herself deep in the sea emerged on her face. She gave her mother a gentle hug, and left her room. Before she reached the main door though, she turn her head towards the king's bedroom door, which was still shut tight. No sound could be heard from behind it.

The blue hair girl tugged on her mother's clothing, "Is it okay to leave father here?" She whispered, now a bit hesitant to leave her angry father alone. The mer king was never a bad person, he cared a great deal for the family, or she believed so. It was unfortunate that she couldn't feel happy without a tail, and it wasn't father fault.

Interacting with: Adrianna @HighlyInapropriate

For once, the idea of going out on the peak hours of New Point appealed to him. That would certainly come to a surprise for most people who knew him as they know that the young blond would prefer not melting under the heat of the sun and would rather just stay cooped up inside his room, painting who knows what. And he actually planned to do that if not for the fact that he ran out of things to paint. At times where his imagination's run dry, he would ask his sister/s to model for him. However, unfortunately enough, he couldn't find Adrianna anywhere and Lynn was busy with her science stuff. So, for now, he guessed that going out might not be such a bad idea. Oh, he was wrong alright. So very wrong.

Unlike most teens who would find themselves in the Hidden Lake, a place where he swore to never visit again unless absolutely needed, he went to Mom's Restaurant. No, not his mother's. It's just the name of the restaurant. Anyway, when he got there, there wasn't a place to sit down nor did he want to wait for such a long time in the line so he stepped away and broke out of the crowds. He ran his hand across his hair before slinging his bag over his shoulder once more - the contents of it already quite obvious considering his hobby. He would never leave home without a sketchpad and a pencil at the very least. Should he leave any of these behind, then something is very wrong. Or he may be out hunting for mermaids but he's unlikely to do that in the day as it is unlikely for a mermaid to appear in their natural form in broad daylight. If they did that often, then one would have surely been caught by one of the Hunters. Alas, things weren't as easy as that.

Through mindless wandering, his feet took him to the beach. He frowned. He loves this place - the smell of the salty breeze, the calming sound of the waves lapping on the sand and the mere sight of the glittering blue ocean puts his spirits up... if not for the constant reminder that he cannot paint a picture that could capture all of this. The serene feeling of being in the presence of the ocean - he wants the people who look at his painting to feel the same feeling he is experiencing right now. Unfortunately, he has been trying for years but he still hasn't been able to get his desired result. And now, this serves as a constant reminder that he still lacks a lot of skills. But... ah, he just can't decide whether to feel calm or frustrated so he always feels something in between if that's even possible.

His attention was ripped from the ocean and towards a familiar red bow. He didn't need to see her face or even the color of her hair to know who it was. "Adrianna!" He called out as he walked towards her, bag still sling on his shoulder and one hand raised to let her know that it was him calling when she turned her head. Though, he was probably sure that she knew him by voice already, as he did hers. There were a lot of things you pick up when you grow up together, and being twins just added more to that fact. Once he was closer, he continued speaking. "Should have expected you to be here, if you're not at the shops or at home."

He stopped and then looked around, noticing fresh footprints on the sand near them. "You talking with someone earlier?" Not that it was his business or anything but he was simply curious. There aren't really a lot of people there in the beach as they were probably getting a bite to eat. He was simply curious, that's all. He looked further ahead and noticed another set of footprints. Oh, probably met up with someone else then. Or maybe not. Either or, it's probably none of his business. His orange eyes gazed back at his twin sister as he awaited her answer.

Maven Erdos

Closing his eyes Maven let himself dissolve in thought. Back to one of the very first arguments, and one he'll never forget...

The rays of the Sun shown through the royal blue waters, peaking through the castle windows with such regal. His eyes deep in a war story, the gentle hand of his father rested on his shoulder. "Mave.... Your grandfather..." Hearing his usual pet name from his father, since he was the only one who called him that, but grandfather.... No! Peeling his frosty eyes away from the pages off the book, he got up to level with his father. "Now your mother and I have discussed this in great deal for many years, but don't hate me Mave... To better understand the other world, the royal family will be moving after the coronation." The last bit of warmth dissapeared from his eyes, being replaced with an cold counterpart. "So your telling me we're abandoning OUR people in their time of distraught?! Your foolish curiousity and ignorance surprises me Father! How blind are you?!" Tossing the book from his hands at his Father's head, he continued, "And you expect me? And our family to like this?! If you weren't my Father and I not your son I would kill the king who is abandoning his own people!" What came next both shocked, and changed Maven. A hard slap to the face came first, ringing his ear slightly, then his father grabbed him by his sliver hair. "You will never disrespect your father, and your king like that ever! How did I end up with such a cold-hearted, selfish son like you!...."

Snapping back into reality, he took a deep breath rubbing his hand against the side of his head where the slap had been. He knew his sisters never saw their father like that, but he wasn't sure about his mother. Tilting his head into the room, hiding his saddened feelings with a smile, but his cold eyes remaining. "Come on Az, I think you'll enjoy this."

Returned the hug Azura had given her briefly before moving towards the main enterance with Maven hopefully in tow. As her eldest daughter looked to where her father's room was and asked if it was alright to leave him, she nodded and ushered her out of the house. It being obvious she didn't really have a clue as to what she was planning. That was both good and bad considering the surprise would help shed the depressed air about her a little bit then also she also needed to explain how daring this was rather quickly as on as they would arrive back at the harbor. As the three left the house and began their walk, Eris couldn't help but feel an anxious pit begin to form in her stomach. It was the middle of the day so they were risking humans catching a glimpse of their true forms as some were bound to be on the beach. Not only that, but she felt as if she were endangering her own children, which to her was adding a fierce dread into the mix of emotions that currently tormented her.

To distract herself, her mind drifted to the fight her king and son had just gotten through, and to be completely honest, the older merman had a temper as well. He had just been trained by his father to control it more than Maven had. Yet she still recalled the first time he had lost his temper around her...

Eris had just heard the news of her husband's father's passing. The crown now turned to him as the only surviving heir with her no longer his wife, but a queen. The realization was rather... difficult to take. Second guessing herself more than once along with wondering how her children would cope with such an amplified life style. Yet as she pace nervously (more of swimming back and forth) her king would enter their room, his face without much expression as he was still grieving over his loss. "Are you ready to do this, my love? The ceremoney will be done as soon as possible to ensure nothing strays out of order." The woman nodded, hesitantly and slowly but nonetheless did, pausing in her motions to face the man. "Good, I know the responsibility is large but I wouldn't have wed you if you weren't up to the task." "At least that offers some comfort..." she responded, searching his eyes before frowning somewhat. "There is something else. What is it?" He took a long moment to respond. "After it is done, and you and I are official king and queen, we will be moving our family above the water. To live in the human settlement." Eris' eyes would widen as she shifted backwards a bit, trying to find any rational reason as to why this would be necessary. "Do you realize what danger you will be putting not only are family but our kingdom in?!" His voice slowly took a hard edge. "It is for the best." "The best of what?!" She snapped back angrily, clearly

unhappy with the situation. "To keep order! If we extend our boundaries to the surface, we can watch those who go there regardless and possible hybrids, should they exist!" "This is insane! I won't accompany you nor will I let my children do s-" "ENOUGH!" He howled, gesturing with his hand to constrict the water around his wife. It compressing her tightly, making breathing let alone speaking imposible. "We are moving and that is final! Should you wish to not comply, your title of queen will hereby be stripped with even more possible consequences, do I make myself clear!?" Realizing she was being blackmailed into going with the insane ordeal, she nodded eagerly, never having seen him as such before. He looked to want to add something more yet as he saw the fear that had tainted his lover's eyes for the first time, he released the water as immediately fled the room. Leaving Eris to collect herself alone.

They didn't speak to each other for three days time, long enough for the preparations to be made and the transition to begin.

Her children weren't aware of that fight, or she hadn't told them about it at least. She didn't want to ruin his image even more than he had already with his arguments with Maven. So the woman kept it quiet, not wanting to risk imprisonment or worse. Eris still loved him, truely. Yet her being here against her will wasn't doing anything to help her family but quite the opposite.

It surprised her how long she had been absorbed within her own thoughts as they approached the harbor. Now two humans appeared to be conversing meaning they needed to make this quick. Not sure if they were paying attention, the small group returned to where her and her son had been minutes ago, the woman speaking hastily. "You are not to go near the shore for a time reason, this is where you will return to. And no one, not even your father, is supposed to know this occurred. Do you both understand?" Her voice was firm, violet gaze flicking between the two as she awaited an answer.

Adrianna was taken aback by the newcomer's retort. Suspicious and rude? She couldn't help but wonder what the peace-loving citizens of New Point would think of the new addition. She didn't let the coldness in his voice get to her, though. As far as she was concerned, he had nothing to do with her. Yet, she couldn't stop the curiosity from pouring in. Who was that guy? He'd garnered her attention in the brief five-second conversation they had, and Adrianna was determined to find out more. But for now, she let him wander away from her. He'd have to show up at school. Besides, right now, she had a sandwich to devour. She started ripping open the plastic cover and stuffing it into the paper bag. Only as she was about to take a bite did another voice interrupt her. But, no this wasn't just any voice. She would be able to recognise this voice from a mile away.

She turned around happily to see her twin, Aldwyn, approach her, arm in the air. It was a peculiar sight - to see him outside of his bedroom painting the most beautiful things. She reasoned he must have run out of ideas, he did have those days, but she was happy to see him as always. He had the same shock of golden hair all the Pierce siblings did, but his eyes made him stand out. They were orange - thanks to contacts, of course - and the most peculiar pair you've ever seen. They did have their peculiarities, the two of them. She smiled as he got closer. "Yeah, I just got back from Mom's. Want some?" she asked, motioning towards the sandwich in her hand. He drew her attention to the footprints, and excitement filled her voice as began to recount the tale. After all, it wasn't every day did someone new move to New Point. "You won't believe it, Aldwyn!" she said cheerfully. "He was someone new! Granted he was very rude, but I've never seen him around before. Isn't that weird?"

Luna stared awkwardly towards the beach. This was NOT the discussion she wanted to be in. Luna just wanted to return home.

(sorry for being so short, i've been busy so hopefully i can just jump in.)

   Selachima Pelagial

Stepping out of New point's most renowned, and frankly one of the only tattooing and piercing salons Sela couldn't help but to prod her tongue, having just gotten pierced and studded with a very special little gem of hers.

What was once worn as a little bracelet was now a fully-fledged tongue piercings, glimmering in the warm sun as Sela's fleshy tongue protruded from within a cage of always-grinning white teeth, the red muscle still sore from the procedure but certainly not enough to ever force the Sharkfolk to remain silent.

"Ugh...Feels like getting stung by a pufferfish..." Sell grumbled, her finger coming to adjust the clear blue moonstone on her tongue before raising an eyebrow, gauging the feeling of something foreign, metal, squishing around in her mouth.

"What strange customs." The Sharkfolk mumbled, having just recently gotten acquainted with the various acts of body modification humans seemed to be so delighted by.

Her otherwise black hair had been the first thing to change, now a navy blue and cascading down her head in a messy sidecut like a stormy sea of dark blue bangs. Her left side had been shaven and was now covered with stubbly short hair, revealing her studded ears.

Ever since she had first set foot on shore Sela had been getting into the various human customs and quirks she had grown very fond off, always on the lookout for other interesting things, earning her the suspicious glances of quite a few of New Point's citizens.

But with every new trinket she adorned her body with and every strand of hair being dyed people started to no longer notice the actual suspicious marks adorning her body, be it all the various scars on her back or the fact that her teeth sometimes seemed a bit too sharp and big to fit into a human jaw.

But for the time being the Sharkfolk who had lived most her life as a pariah was having some of the most fun she had ever had, no longer being an outcast but rather just getting to know this new world that didn't seem as hostile as the open ocean and the prejudice of her fellow Mermaids.

Stretching her muscular frame with a yawn Sela looked around the deserted beach street, spying a few familiar faces at the ocean.

Familiar was a fickle word, she had seen them here and there and hadn't even gotten to know a lot of people, yet she was sure to catch up on that later.

Crossing her hands behind her neck the Sharkfolk made her way to the sea, long steps carrying her over as she waved at the few new faces at the beach before inhaling a deep breath of ocean air that almost threatened her to simply exhale through her no longer visible gills.

Azura felt a bit bad leaving father in this stage, but she felt better as they stepped closer, and closer, and closer to the harbour, thus to the sea. When they approached it, since Azura did not know what her mother and brother had in prepare, she paid no heed to the other people around. She only breathed in the salty air, and it soothed her restless soul. But then mother seemed to be anxious, looking at the said people who Azura did not pay attention to.

"You are not to go near the shore for a time reason, this is where you will return to. And no one, not even your father, is supposed to know this occurred. Do you both understand?"

Still confused, Azura tried to understand what her mother meant. Near shore? Return to? What will occur? She looked to her mother and brother for further explanation, but her body might have comprehend before she did. Her heart was beating fast in her chest, as the waves patting the shore in a repetitive pattern.

Maven Edros

Walking back on the beach felt slightly akward, Maven already drew enough attention as is and if any mepeople were around it would be bad news. But this little trip in the sea could prove to be useful, Cordon, a family advisor, was a person of intrest for him to speak to. Because he knew his father wasn't reporting news back to the kingdom, selling his jeweley like a sharkfolk.

Snapping out of his angry state, he quickly pulled off his shirt revealing his hardened chest. Luckily he was already wearing what humans called, "board shorts," so when he took off his necklace for the water it would look normal. Carefully taking off the leather necklace and gently placing it in his moms warm hand. "We'll be back before sunset and it's crowded. Just make sure He doesn't come here. He doesn't deserve the beach." Putting a heavy emphasis on the he, looking over at his sisters with his icy eyes. "After you Princess."

Eris was well aware she didn't need to take their moonstones, but it served as a reminder for them. They couldn't return to shore without it, thus needing it when she would meet them back here at sunset. "He won't as I'm sure he wants to leave you alone for the time being." Taking his necklace, it always felt odd to be in contact with another person's stone due to the way the connection worked. Putting the leather strap in her other hand, she held her right out to take her daughter's whilst explaining "Azura, you're going with your brother into the sea, you already heard want you back here at this spot no later than sunset." Looking at both of them, she sighed and finished. "Should a human see you, don't interact but head straight for the castle and do NOT stop until you get there. I will come looking should you not return one time."

At first, it was too good to be true. But seeing Maven placing his moonstone in mother's hand, the blue hair princess was so happy her eyes got teary. She ignore the extended hand and hugged her mother tightly, and in turn her brother. Only after that she pulled down her ring, carefully placed it in mother's hand. Her fingers were trembling, and she almost dropped it. Her moonstone too looked beautiful under the light, as if it was as happy as Azura.

"Thank you, mama." She said, looked at her one last time, and then tried to naturally walk into the water without raising attention. Her one-piece dress could let people think there was a swimsuit beneath it. It was comfortable, when everything below her waist sumerged in the cool ocean water, and the waves and current made her bobbed on the surface. It eased her tension a lot, and at this moment she turn back into the girl she once was, happy, and can't wait for another small adventure in her beloved sea.

Remembering not to attract attention, she turn to look back at her brother who said he would follow him. She could jump out the water like a dolphin, that was how happy she was. The princess's grin widened as her body temperature slowly sync with the water, and it was unmistakable. She was at the sea. Azura must stopped thinking, or she would start crying. Or what she could do was just dip her face in the water.

Following his anxious sister into the water, the rush the water gave him was like electricity. Oh how he missed it! Feeling his feet slowly form back into his glorious finn, Maven simpered seeing the thing after so long. Once he was deep enough, he plunged under the water and let his mind wander as the rush of the cool ocean calmed his usual rushed thoughts.

Cordon was around his late middle ages, a good and loyal man to his grandfather. Around the age of 14 the two had become quick friends, and Cordon took intrest in showing him how to handle the public. Spiraling out of his thoughts as a large redfish swam past him, he looked up to see his sister. "Listen you have your fun, i'm going to have a quick chat with Cordon! Meet me at the sandbar in an hour!" Maven called up at his sister, before plunging down deeper into the ocean depths towards the city.
