Cryobionic
Seven Thousand Club
Whatever reaction Quincy had expected to be drawn from the other by his words, the hint of curiosity he detected in his twins tone had not been one of them. For an instant, as he was speaking, something had flashed through those golden eyes. It had been brief, over in a second, but Quincy had caught it. It was enough to make him realize that this stranger really couldn't have been intentionally occupying his features. It wasn't possible. A skilled actor would perhaps be able to pull off uttering the words with the correct pressure of false inquiry to make it believable, but Quincy had spent his entire life playing make believe. That momentary expression of denied interest could not be faked.
It made the entire situation all the more bearable, for some reason.
"You tried to stop me from feeding," He murmured in response to his accusation, his eyes rising to connect with his, "And gave me quite a startle, ironically enough."
He paused then, and eyebrow raising in slight acceptance of the challenge behind the others words, a small smirk pulling at the edge of his red stained lips to hide his sudden discomfited feeling, "Touche, luv," He said simply, a slight giggle piercing his words, before tilting his head to the side, "I recognize my face within yours, of course. We've already established that, but..."
The nightmare drew closer, his bare feet crunching up whatever remains of the smashed tree ornament as he began to circle the other boy. It stung a little, but it was nothing he couldn't handle when faced with such an odd mystery, "I cannot deny that there is something... disturbingly familiar about you." He came to a halt in front of him again, raising an eyebrow in silent inquiry.
