Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

Whatever reaction Quincy had expected to be drawn from the other by his words, the hint of curiosity he detected in his twins tone had not been one of them. For an instant, as he was speaking, something had flashed through those golden eyes. It had been brief, over in a second, but Quincy had caught it. It was enough to make him realize that this stranger really couldn't have been intentionally occupying his features. It wasn't possible. A skilled actor would perhaps be able to pull off uttering the words with the correct pressure of false inquiry to make it believable, but Quincy had spent his entire life playing make believe. That momentary expression of denied interest could not be faked.

It made the entire situation all the more bearable, for some reason.

"You tried to stop me from feeding," He murmured in response to his accusation, his eyes rising to connect with his, "And gave me quite a startle, ironically enough."

He paused then, and eyebrow raising in slight acceptance of the challenge behind the others words, a small smirk pulling at the edge of his red stained lips to hide his sudden discomfited feeling, "Touche, luv," He said simply, a slight giggle piercing his words, before tilting his head to the side, "I recognize my face within yours, of course. We've already established that, but..."

The nightmare drew closer, his bare feet crunching up whatever remains of the smashed tree ornament as he began to circle the other boy. It stung a little, but it was nothing he couldn't handle when faced with such an odd mystery, "I cannot deny that there is something... disturbingly familiar about you." He came to a halt in front of him again, raising an eyebrow in silent inquiry.

Rodwen sat atop a block of flats ,which overlooked the park , watching the clouds pass by over head. The way the clouds moved and looked reminded her of heaven .which in turn made her feel sick. she sat watching the clouds for what must have been twenty minutes ,before she found it unbearable. She turned her gaze to the park where several couples were out walking , eating , and socializing "Despicable" Rodwen muttered to herself. "the act of love is truly despicable" she said to herself as she began to get up from her sitting position."love is simply an excuse people use to cover up lust and greed" she muttered to her self as she made her way over to the edge of the roof. After a quick glance at the busy street below a grin formed on her face , almost immediately after she dropped off the seven story block roof to the street below , drawing her sword as she did. by the time she hit the footpath her sword had spit a man in two.

The corpse didn't have so much as a single physical cut or scratch , in fact all the humans seen was the man falling over from what seemed to be a hart attack.

what had actually been split in two was his soul , which Rodwen had now collected.

Many humans rushed to the corpse in attempts to resuscitate him but any attempt made was all futile , The man was dead and wasn't coming back from the dead.

Rodwen ,whom was invisible to the crowds , made her way back to the mansion after sealing the soul in a capsule.

Akira sighed, after they were done in the hideout Alexander was dragged off to work. Akira wanted to go see Raya she wanted to throw a costume ball soon and needed Raya's help. Luke was too busy training soldiers, Alexander too busy with paperwork. Akira sighed she knew They'd hate her going alone, Gretilda wouldn't go with her and she didn't want to drag the poor woman around so she went for her last option Alistair, It took her awhile to convince him to go but when she mentioned it was for the ball he reluctantly agreed.

She dragged him to the portal room and went through it to the costume shop.

She entered it her eyes scanning for Raya.

@DestinyRed (There we go, get Emiya and Raya's butts out ere)

Raya heard the door from downstairs open then looked over at her uncle with an awkward smile, "You forgot to lock the door, didn't you??" he

asked the niece who was completely failing at acting innocent, "Maybe..." she murmured then grabbed Emiya's hand and dragged her down the stairs.

"Why are you bringing me blueberry head?!" Emiya asked -dropping the fork that held her piece of pancake, "Because your the lightest and one never knows when they need a human shield." Raya joked and Emiya rolled her eyes, "Thanks." the younger teen deadpanned. Raya laughed then hopped off the bottom stair and into the backroom, poking her head out the door to see who was there.

It was Akira and a stranger, "Hey Akira!" she squealed excitedly running over to the pair.

- - - - -

Emiya rolled her eyes as Raya practically pounced on Akira, "Don't let her eat you!" she yelled with a laugh. She walked over to the three and noticed the male looked less then impressed to be at the store, "Jeez, is Akira planning to bury you alive later for being grumpy?" she asked sarcastically then looked over to Akira, "So how's the Hubby?"

Akira's eyes lit up at Raya and she wrapped her arms around the girl in a hug when she got over to them.

Akira blushed when Emiya mentioned Alexander "Hubby..." she shook her head slightly changing from hugging Raya to give Emiya a quick hug "Hes stuck doing paperwork back at the castle. He was pretty grumpy about it." Alistair looked at Emiya looking a tiny bit nervous, he was afraid she'd eat him alive. "H..How are you today Miss Emiya?" he stuttered out

Akira turned back to Raya "So I am throwing a costume ball, I kind of need someones advice. I am unsure what to wear for it, I'm also unsure what kind of decorations I should use either. I figured you'd know. Don't worry you will get payed to help." she pulled out her purse pulling out six one hundred dollar bills. "Would this be enough?"

@DestinyRed

Raya looked down at the bills Akira held out wide eyed, "All you need are some costumes and decorations, not some blocks of gold!" she squealed, "I'm happy to help for free!" she tilted her head at her choice in parties, "If your going to throw a costume ball you should wait until next Halloween, if you want to throw a ball it should be a Christmas ball and I suggest glass crystals and crystal snowflakes." she said then looked at the roof in thought.

"And you'd generally want people in all whites and pale blues, the reds and greens are used mainly for parties not balls, you'll need some holly just to make people feel awkward when they walk under it and have to kiss someone..." she grabbed Akira's arm and dragged her over to the counter and pulled out a big books going into the 'Formal parties' section, "Since your Royalty and the hostess you have to hire someone to announce peoples entrance and everyone has to enter with a partner. This is formal so every male you invite has to bring a female to be his 'Date' or 'Guest' or whatever you feel like calling them..." she said then pointed at the section for Akira to read more.

Emiya stuck her tongue out at Akira then looked over at Alistair, "Well No ones tried to kill me yet so I'm good, you?" she asked curiously, keeping an eye on Akira as Raya continued lecturing her on formal parties.

Akira's looked at Raya a small pout on her face "No way am I letting you do it for free!" she shoved the bills into Raya's hands "Take them! I won't accept no for an answer" she smiled

"Besides I'm going to need a lot of help from you." she looped her arm with Raya's "You also are definitely coming, we'll have to find a pretty dress for you too! Emiya is coming too even if I have to drag the both of you there."

------

Alistair smiled a bit "I'm fine besides the Princess never listening to me even though I'm her advisor." he sighed "On top of that she drags me out shopping for the ball when there is so much work to do. I honestly wonder sometimes if she'll ever have her priorities straight." @DestinyRed

Emiya laughed then tilted her head a she recalled all the times Akira did unnecessary things first, "She's never had her priorities straight, but it was always fun stealing stuff from the kitchens." she said with a laugh, "I bet she'll force you into a carrot costume at the ball for entertainment!"

- - - - -

Raya looked down at the money suddenly realizing something, "I can move out now!" She squealed excitedly then hopped on Akira and tackled her with a hug, "I can move out! Squeah!" she screamed in her ear then grabbed Akira's hand and dragged her into the backroom and up the stairs into the house and forced her to sit down at the kitchen table where her aunt and uncle were silently sipping there coffee.

"One moment, I'll go grab Emiya and stranger!" she said then hopped all the way down to the store to drag Emiya and the stranger up for food.

(Mwahaha, have fun awkwardly sitting alone at a table with Raya's relatives, Akira)

Akira froze slightly as soon as she seen the two adults but composed herself quickly standing and bowing "I do apologize for the intrusion. Am I correct to assume you are Raya's family?"

(You forget Red, Akira is a princess shes good with awkward situations...half the time...)

---------

Alistair looked shocked "her highness...stole from the kitchen?! Oh dear me. So the rumors are true then she was a trouble maker?" he bit his lip "Now I'm kind of afraid my hair is going to be pink one day when I wake up or worse!" he sighed "And why would I go to the ball?!" then he cringed thinking of the costumes "I would not look good in any costume and its inappropriate for the Servants, Advisor or guards to dress up" @DestinyRed

Graeme walked into the cafe with, of course, Bramblefur by his side. "So Graeme what's today's contract?" "We're not supposed to talk about my work Bramb, besides, you should know if you can read my thoughts." Bramblefur chuckled, "Yea, I know, but I also know the real reason why you came here." "Bramb... shut your snout." Walking to a booth he sat down as Bramblefur curled up and sat on the table beside him. "Can I get something too Graeme?" Graeme sighed, "I don't see why not." Graeme glanced around and took out a notebook writing in it. "Why do you write that stuff? Didn't you say we can't talk about contracts? Wouldn't that mean you can't use them in stories?" Graeme ignored Bramblefur and kept writing, waiting for Ellie, Vincent, or one of his other many friends to show up.

Gnag clambered out of his cupboard screaming while flailing his wrench, his most valuable possession, "Damn imp magic ain't workin right now! Anythin ta fix Ellie?"

@Cryobionic @Elfia Nightwing

Ellie looked up from where she had been cooing at Chomp, looking at Gnag." Something to fix? I don't think so..." She murmured looking up when she heard the door open. " Great..." She muttered to herself' taking Chomp and walking out to see Greame.

" I don't think we have ice cream..." Ellie murmured, as Chomp hissed at Bramblefur to step away from his owner." And things have been fine," she smiled kindly." Want your usually pumpkin pie? I just baked a fresh one last night," she offered.

Bramblefur looked down, "Darn... I really wanted some ice cream." Graeme chuckled, "Yea, pumpkin pie as usual please, as for Bramb, surprise him." Bramblefur looked up and scampered back to Graeme, "Sure, I'll take anything else." Graeme pulled out a file and glanced at the information, "Afterwards if you have any time I need to inform you of some things, mostly related to my merc work but it involves you guys too." Finishing his sentence Graeme put the file away and looked through some books he had brought with.

Ellie nodded, going to the back leaving Chomp on the table. Chomp did not like his new surrondings and made sure the large human knew it by shredding the nearest thing near him. A very old looking book.

Prince Graeme & Bramblefur Graeme notices the small creature tearing up one of his books and shrugged, it wasn't all that important and he had already memorized it by word. "Bramb, go entertain the little critter please. I have to focus on... well, you know what." Bramblefur nodded and padded up to Chomp batting him with his paws to get Chomp's attention and hopped down onto the floor almost tripping as he lands. "C'mon little guy, let's do something!"

Chomp hissed at the fox snapping his sharp teeth at him in warning. Seeing that his human was nowhere to be found, chomp let out a high pitched screech that could wake the dead, waving his leaves in distress.

Prince Graeme & Bramblefur Graeme glanced at the small creature and frowned. "You're quite the screamer you know. Loud, and obnoxious." Graeme cast a spell and carried the small creature in the air towards where Ellie had gone yelling to be heard over the screeching. "Hey Ellie, your... pet, is very upset, you wanna come take it?" Bramblefur followed closely and perched himself on Graeme's shoulder, "Yea, he doesn't wanna play and it's no fun." Graeme sighed and stood there holding the screeching thing in his levitation spell, waiting for Ellie.

Ellie looked over at Chomp frowning," Aww, sorry guys Chomp can be a little clingy sometimes," she sighed, taking Chomp in her hands. She stroked the small plants head until he calmed down, snuggling in her hands.

Prince Graeme & Bramblefur "No worries Ellie, I know the feeling, except it's not my choice that Bramb is clingy." Bramblefur yipped in annoyance, "Hey now, don't use magic bonds as an excuse to call me clingy! Besides... it's not fair." Graeme chuckled before looking at Ellie, "Anyway, when do you think you can talk, it'd be nice to have Vince around too. It's rather important information."

The door to the apartment opened, and the very much awake demon within leaned himself on the door frame, looking at the shapeshifter with a raised eyebrow, an open book hanging lazily from his hand, "When did you get here?" He asked conversationally, a small smirk pulling at the corners of his lips, "Of all the people I expected to see today, you were not one of them. Where have you been, friend?" Vincent closed the book with a snap, grinning cheekily at the mercenary.

Prince Graeme & Bramblefur "Well long story short, I had some contracts out of town to say the least... and maybe some stuff Akira wouldn't like, but that's besides the point." Graeme pulled out a file and held it out to Vincent. "The merc society I work in finally took notice of some of the things around here. Though they obviously blew over the fact that I was involved. As far as their concerned you're a suspect in a big old jumble of things. I took the contract for the sole purpose of clearing your name. Their main reason for targeting you is because, and I quote, "All demons are threats and the fact that this 'Vincent' has gone unattended to is unacceptable". Pretty much they're trying to find a reason to actually put a price on your death." Graeme sighed. "Not only that but my off duty stuff has let me to a dead end so I have nothing better to do. Besides with this contract being in my possession it still means other mercs will end up showing up to the cafe and try to frame you for something." Graeme smiled handing the file over to let Vincent see the rest of the details. "Graeme aren't you forgetting something you should tell him?" Bramblefur looked at him with concern. "It's nothing Bramb, stop mentioning it."

Though the events of their last encounter still remained fresh in his mind like a newly pressed seal, Jun felt his heart quicken at the response. It was not a direct answer, but it held enough confirmation that gripped the shade’s interest. “Jun,” he pressed eagerly, hoping the name would jostle the boy’s memory. “My name is Jun. Do you recall waking up in a forest at all?”

Fraught for answers, the pain throbbing dully in the soles of his feet went unnoticed.

Perhaps his twin had woken before him and wandered off before Jun had awaken. But that, for some inexplicable reason, didn’t seem right. More specifically: Didn’t feel right. A separation, possibly, might have taken place. Yet that couldn't be entirely correct, for the grass had remained undisturbed when Jun awoke.

Whatever the case, one thing was for sure: Being around his other brought both peace and calamity to his mind. Surety, and restlessness. Jun, for all the time he had traveled, had never felt so whole before – so terribly, completely whole.

The air broke beneath his foot as Vahl, descending from the parapet walls, settled upon one of the masonry overhangs outside. As of late his mind had begun to wander, and though it was rare, most of his reminiscing had stretched as far back to when he had gained his freedom. From there images of his travels, contemplating heavily on his time in Paris where he had spent a little over year in the company of a certain snow colored witch.

These events had been triggered after running into Ellie at the café. She was nothing at all like her mother, Noire, and yet the memories had surfaced to mind on their own account.

Vahl pressed the side of his face into a knee, appreciating the pressure it gave him as it broke his concentration. Unwinding his limbs the wisp allowed himself back inside the castle and started to return to his room when he paused.

It was the same figure he had spotted before while on his way to Serathi’s room. The very ends of her dark gown continued to whisper along the cold stone, the very sound that had made him halt in his tracks out of interest. She was not a part of Quincy’s battalion for her attire suggested a rank otherwise, and Vahl had never seen her on the grounds floor before.

He tipped his head, considering, sending dark strands of hair to one shoulder. Then, thinking it a good chance for distraction, he pushed his thoughts of Noire aside and stepped through the door to join the unnamed woman.

“Do you spend most of your time just pacing back and forth?” he wondered aloud, waiting for her to respond.
