Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

Jun forgot his previous fatigue entirely as he listened to the pair. Falling into open air was generally not something that crossed his mind often, and the fact that Oliver had even slipped in the word 'die' mortified Jun. "This is safe...?" he started uncertainly, flicking his eyes between the two. "And it's at night?" He sounded even more dubious, scooting back instinctively till he hit the wall. Raya's grip was too strong but he pulled it at still, like a pup tugging at a leash. "Can't I just sit behind and watch you two jump together?"

"I don't think it would be safe jumping together," Oliver mused, tracing his fingers over the wooden counter top, jabbing his nail into a crack in the wood, "'Cause then you might accidentally knock into each other and crack your skull open. But I don't know, I've never done it before," He shrugged, looking up at Jun with a small grin before it dropped and he turned to face Raya, his eyes a little wide, "Wait, can that actually happen?"

"Actually this place has a special harness that straps up to 4 people together for a jump. Aunt Merle refused to Jump last year so I forced her to jump with me and Pops." she said with a giggle, "So, who's your partner or partners?" she asked, sticking out her tongue at the two.

It was still hard to accept this was actually happening but Jun complied and gave the question some considerate thought. With growing realization Jun noticed that everyone already had a respective pair, even Oliver. The shade tilted in his chair slightly, spotting Estelle scarfing down the remaining bits of her plate, then glanced back at the imp. "Unless the four of us jump together," Jun said and circled a finger in the air that encompassed the small group already present in the room, "then I guess we're jumping together, Raya." A look of distress crossed his face and he pulled against her once more in protest. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Do you really think I'd force everyone bungee jumping then not go myself?" Raya asked sarcastically then tugged his arm back, "I'd ask if you were sure you want to do this but you're going either way." she said with a laugh, "Oliver! If you get drunk today I'll ask the guy to do the Sparta jump for you, which basically means the guy yells 'this is Sparta' then kicks you off the edge."

"I've had worse!" Oliver shouted right back, not bothering with looking over the edge of the counter this time, instead choosing to focus on which bottle he was going to sneak back to the castle after the jumping. The whiskey would be way to obvious, and the moonshine Buckley would notice missing right away. That demon really had an unhealthy obsession with the stuff, though maybe the Vodka would work...

"Hey, do you think we have to cover up our supernatural features when we go?" Oliver suddenly asked, his tail swinging lazily over the floor as he propped his head up on the counter again.

The shade relented with a sigh, believing there was some small hope that between now and up until they were strapped and staring down into the dark precipice, Raya would change her mind.

Maybe.

Possibly.

Jun thought hard and found how unlikely that was, and slumped against the table like Oliver, face down. "That is true," Jun agreed, acknowledging Oliver's latest comment, "won't they find it strange to see a group like us?" He turned so his cheek rested against the wood and looked up at Raya curiously.

"Half the people jump in ridiculous costumes, they probably won't bat an eye." she said to the two, "And you've had worst then being kicked off the side of a cliff?" Out of curiosity she let Jun free of her grip and walked over to the counter, hopping over and taking a look at Oliver's handy work, "Remind me to invite you with me if I ever rob a bank." she murmured then hopped back over the bar and quickly sprinted up the stairs, picked the lock and opened the door to Vincent's apartment, "Your alcohol is being robbed by the usual suspect!" she yelled then hopped back down the stairs and sat down on a bar stool.

"Besides, I don't think normal people Sky dive. We're sky diving, just with a cord" Raya informed them.

Ellie whined, rolling out of bed when Raya entered the apartment."I don't wanna get up..." she whined, kicking her legs like a five year old throwing a tantrum. "Can't we just pretend we aren't home?..." she whined softly, crawling over the closet, exchanging her pajamas for a simple shirt and a pair of shorts.

"'Cause then Raya would just come in here and drag us out by force," Vincent replied from the other room, his voice a little muffled by the toothbrush hanging from his mouth, "And then she would probably kick us off the edge of the cliff without a rope." He snorted, putting the toothbrush away and walking back into the bedroom, "Coffee?"

Ellie nodded, walking to the bathroom, closing the door slightly, "Yes please," she smiled, her voice slightly muffled by the sound of running water, as she started brushing her teeth.

"Great. I'll have it done in a sec." Vincent called out, exiting the apartment with a yawn. His eyes widened a tad as he emerged from the staircase, taking in all the occupants of the room, "Locked doors don't mean a thing anymore, huh?" He smirked, shaking his head with a small chuckle before walking over to the bar, reaching for the coffee grounds, "Morning."

"When one has a bobby pin who needs a key?" Raya asked with a laugh, "That chair is malfunctioning." she said, lazily pointing her finger at the chair Jun was now sitting on, "Did you have Oliver shorten the back legs or something? Look at this?" she exclaimed, walking over to the chair and lightly patting it, the chair plunging backwards with Jun still on it. With a flicker of light from her eyes, she caught the chair with her foot and kicked it back on all four knowing Jun was probably internally panicking, "Or did someone make this chair gravity defiant?"

"I'm tempted to just give you a key to lower the risk of you breaking our lock," Vincent muttered, shaking his head before starting up the coffee machine with a beep, "And stop terrorizing Jun, the chair's just always been a little weird, is all. We had an ogre visit the cafe an odd fifteen years ago, and it wasn't pretty." He snorted, grabbing some mugs from over the bar, do you want any coffee?"

"The door was already unl -aawwchked?!"

Jun balked, his question pitched in surprised volume, as he felt his chair cant backwards with suddenness. He flailed, arms waving, breath gasping, kicking to regain balance as the world tipped upward. Relief and more than bewildered, he let out another huff when the chair rocked back into place, steadied by Raya's hands.

Ellie sighed, walking down stairs as she viewed all of her friends downstairs in the cafe, "That's it, I'm putting charms on the cafe so no one can break into it," she sighed, sending a pointed look at Raya. She sat down at the bar, resting her head on it. "This better be worth it Raya," Ellie sighed.

"Already have one." Raya murmured nodding her head towards the mug on the table then laughing at Jun's expression, "Now for bungee jumping, Imagine that just add a couple hundred feet." she whispered then chuckled tilting her head at Ellie and Vincent, "If you put a charm on the café I could still break in, you have to put a charm on the pins in the lock so they only respond to a certain key." she explained, grabbing her coffee and taking a sip, "Pops taught me that the other night, he said that spell placement is sometimes more important then the spell itself, I swear to god he's part wizard." she said with a laugh.

Vincent snorted, rolling his eyes before reaching over to retrieve the coffee when the machine beeped again. He began filling up three mugs, and soon, the smell of freshly brewed coffee began wafting through the entire cafe. He slid one over to Ellie, and one over to Jun, who looked decidedly worse for wear, he noticed as his eyes glanced over the young shade, noticing the dark bags under his eyes. "Rough night?" He questioned conversationally, before reaching for the soul residue, and finding none. "Ellie, you didn't use all of our soul residue in the stew, did you?"

"Mmm," Ellie pouted, turning her head away from Raya, smiling when Vinny set her coffee down in front of her. "Eh? T-that was our last bottle? I thought you had more..." she answered sheepishly, looking at the demon with wide eyes. "I'm sorry Vinny! I'm really sorry!" she whimpered.

He started to reach for the steaming mug but upon hearing Vincent, paused. "Huh?" Jun touched the bruises beneath his eyes, self conscious, before wrapping his fingers around the mug. "Just a bit," he murmured, smoothing his thumbs against the porcelain. Of them all he had considered telling Vincent of what had happened at the castle, but once more, Jun found himself shelving the subject away. Again, it wasn't an appropriate time, and Jun, thinking it best to distract himself till then, took a small sip of the bitter drink.

"It's fine, I'll just pick up some more later," The demon shrugged, but a small twinge of disappointment did manage to seep into his voice as he pushed the steaming mug towards Raya, who looked to be running out of hers, with a slightly longing stare at the beverage, "Besides, it was totally worth it, I'd never had stew before." He reasoned with a small smile, his eyes widening a little as two rainbow covered arms shot up from under the bar and snatched up the mug.

Raya happily reached out for the coffee, seeing as she was almost out of her own but when a rainbow sweater popped over the counter and retrieved the drink, her eyes narrowed, "Oliver!" She screeched, hopping over the counter and tackling the imp, "Mine!" she squealed, snatching the cup and taking a big gulp, "Haha!" she squealed with a giggle.

"No." Oliver's voice sounded from under the bar, as he stared up at the protector with a deadpan expression, his tail swinging lazily behind him narrowly avoiding hitting Vincent's legs, "I had it first." with that, the imp reached up and grabbed the mug back, pointedly running his tongue over the brim of the porcelain cup, "It's mine now." He told her victoriously. From over the bar, Vincent sighed watching them with an amused look, "I can just make another cup." He deadpanned.

"I'm really sorry," she frowned, looking down at her own cup, pushing it away. She suddenly didn't feel like coffee at all, and wanted to craw back in bed, away from everything.

Raya scowled as she watched the imp lick the ring of the cup then snatched up the mug, standing up then holding the cup over Oliver's head, "You know what?" she asked, tipping the cup and pouring the liquid all over Oliver's head, "You can have it." she whispered then hopped back over the counter -nearly knocking over a stool in the process- and sat down beside Jun. She noticed he looked tired and tilted her head, noticing the slightest difference between the dark circles under his eyes.

"So, those obviously aren't bags under your eyes considering the shapes uneven are uneven and it doesn't stretch to the corner of your eye. What happened?" she asked quietly.
