Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

Akira sighed "Ellie your coffee is right near your head, drink it before it gets cold!" her eyes turned back to Estelle "And you, Behave! If you don't want to be treated like a child don't act like one. If you act like a child and do something bad you'll get punished like one which its obvious you don't like that." she turned back towards Alexander and walked over to him, he allowed her to help him a bit, mostly she was just to help make sure nothing burned or caught fire. @Elfia Nightwing

The nightmare had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from giggling out loud, though his shoulders were quivering ever so slightly. What a surprisingly entertaining thing, this was. Without saying a word aside from his greeting, he had apparently managed to tick off the stoic wisp, which to Quincy, was pretty impressive. He placed his hands on the table, his purple painted fingernails tracing the cracks in the hard wooden surface.

Tilting his head to the side, he stared up at the taller man, his eyes going wide in mock confusion, "Why-ever not, darling?" He asked, "Silence is one of the best tools of torture, I'll have you know. Have you any idea how fast ones mind can crack..." His false expression dropped, turning into that of a demented smile, "... when left to it's own devices?"

The nightmare chuckled and tapped his nails against the table, "But I do admit that books have never caught my fancy."

Raya walked into the kitchen, quickly saying thank you before watching a fire go on by Estelle, "Well someones pissy." She muttered then smiled, "Morning happy couple and grumps in corners." She said to everyone, then snapped her fingers and vines held Estelle's hands comfortably closed, "I think fires more of a lunchtime thing."

Ellie lifted her head, lifting the cup to her lips, taking a big gup, resting her head back down. "Sleep..." she whimpered, closing her eyes, "Oh, yeah...Madame Bernet...Is sending her jet.." Ellie yawned. Estelle's ears perked up when Ellie mentioned her grandmeres jet, "Were going back to France?" Estelle whimpered. Ellie nodded, before passing out.

Akira sighed in relief at Raya's enterence "So what did you do?" she raised an eyebrow "You have to have pranked someone.." Her eyes flicked to Ellie "Jeez, She must have stayed up late"

Raya giggled, "Let's just say your whole council will have neon orange hair for five to seven months." She stated then grabbed herself a bowl of blueberries and sat down on a stool cross legged, "Oh and one of them is locked in a closet on the second floor." She said wondering how the others would react. She knew Akira would laugh, but Alexander... was a different story.

Alexander sighed "Raya, As much as they deserved it do you know who has to listen to them whine? Us. They'll want you banned from coming back knowing them."

Akira tried to keep a straight face but burst into giggles "I would pay to have seen that!" @DestinyRed

"Hey! Only 2 of them saw me and if I recall correctly, one of them shot crystals at me -assaulting one of Akira's guests, and the other one pushed his way through the crowd so he could be the first one out during the attack. They should be fired anyways." She said popping a blueberry in her mouth then sticking her toung out. She then opened the gallery on her phone and tossed it over to Akira, "I took a picture of all the people who's hair I dyed. Enjoy." She said with a giggle.

Akira couldn't hold back and fell to the floor in hysterical laughter at the pictures. Alexander sighed and walked over looking at the pictures also bursting into laughter. Akira smiled finally calming down "Alex and I should get back into pranking and join you!" @DestinyRed

He felt like knocking the general's hands from the table, one steady sweep that would at least discourage Quincy from leaning any further forward, but again Vahl disregarded the idea, thinking it a juvenile response. "Perhaps it would do you some good if you tried picking up a new pastime," Vahl informed impassively, raising his eyes once more, "it would discourage you from - "

Whatever words he had intended for a snarky rebuttal were stopped instantly as the wisp's gaze rested on the boy. It was a pensive, well intended stare as Vahl's lips parted in the slightest, looking at Quincy as though he were truly seeing him for the first time. Rare uncertainty flickered across his vision as the wisp was suddenly seized by realization.

Unthinking, he extended a hand toward the nightmare, as if to brush against the newly silvered scar across his face, and grasped the red hair clips that held the boy's bangs in place. Smoothly, Vahl slipped free the barrettes, and watched as the strands collapsed against a brow and framed a face all too familiar to the wisp.

Raya looked around the room, noting that Jun wasn't there yet, "Sure, we can pull a prank now. Akira get me a bottle of ketchup, Alexander get me some baking soda." She said, running over to a cupboard to grab a few potatos. She chopped them up into french fries, threw them onto a cookie sheet then placed them in the oven on high, "Okay, ever heard of the exploding ketchup prank?" She asked with a laugh.

"Reading has never been something I've found myself enjoying," Quincy lied easily, having not noticed the wisps suddenly cut off sentence, "I'm not one for sitting still for too long, and besides..."

The nightmare's sentence trailed off, his red eyes snapping up to stare at Vahl's hand, now suddenly very close to his face. Stunned silence overcame him as he felt the mans fingers press against his forehead for a split second before he pulled away, his vision blurring with white as his bangs fell in front of his eyes. Quincy stared up at the wisp, his brows furrowing in genuine confusion.

"Why?" He asked simply, tilting his head to the side causing an unfamiliar ticking at the bridge of his nose, making him blow at the strands of hair reflexively. "What a strange thing to suddenly do," He murmured, more to himself than to Vahl, batting at his fringe, before holding out his hand, looking pointedly at the hair clips, "Give them back, please."

Jun acknowledged the servant's message, insisting he was comfortable the way he was, and followed the man out the door. Conversation wasn't necessary, as quickly found out, Jun passing their silence with more than few yawns. After crossing through a set of hallways he was shown through a pair of doors, where ruckus laughter instantly met his ears, and as he entered it was to find Akira folded over in laughter.

The kitchen was a scrambled mess, and the scattered flour that decorated the floor was stirred up from her actions. Jun found himself sneezing in response, retreating to a corner where he spotted Vincent reclined against the wall and a safe distance away. Unbidden tears hit the shade's eyes when he arrived beside the demon, scratching his nose. "I'm guessing none of us have eaten yet?"

"Nope." Vincent chirped happily, looking over at the pale boy with a small grin, "Though if you wanna try your hand at interrupting Alexander in his cooking, be my guest," He snorted, nodding towards the fairy currently in the middle of whisking together something or another in a bowl. He looked to be deep in concentration, his dark brows furrowed as he very nearly glared at the batter. "Did you sleep well?" He then asked, his red eyes glancing over at Ellie, fast asleep with her head planted against a loaf of bread.

Akira was about to do what Raya asked when Jun walked in. as she was getting up off the floor. She pouted, Alexander just went back to cooking. Soon finally the food was done but the cake wasn't "Little bird can you set the table please?" Akira stood up and ended up going back and forth between the dining room and kitchen. She soon had the table set and she helped Alexander carry things in. Alexander went back to working on the cake. Akira smiled at everyone "Breakfast is ready" she paused "Where is Oliver? Shouldn't he be out of the Medical wing by now?"

(She thinks he was carried inside by someone) @Cryobionic @thistle @DestinyRed @Elfia Nightwing

Shit! Raya thought, grabbing the ketchup by herself and sneakily poured some baking soda in, closing the cap then placing the bottle on the table, "I made fries to add to the breakfest menu! Jun, up for taste testing?" She asked, walking over to the oven and pulling out the fries. If she kept her cool nothing would seem suspicious. She placed the cookie tray on the counter and put the bottle of ketchup beside it, sending warning glances at everyone but Jun. To make it seem like nothing was suspicious, she grabbed a fry and took a bite, "Ehh, there food but they need ketchup." She said then grabbed herself a glass of water, leaning against a table so she could watch.

It was in the barest of moments but Vahl saw what he was looking for in that instant. A slight bend in the brow, lips pressed briefly in a small moue of question, and the wisp found himself staring at a face at once recognizable and different all together. Had there been any more distance between them, the expression would have been lost on him entirely.

Now he understood why the nightmare's constant presence had nagged him, why he had been left indisposed to countless questions. Finding the answer left the wisp with a heavy sense of satisfaction, prior shock ebbing quickly from his system.

It gave away to a cunning smile, eyes burning with a fevered light, as Vahl began to drop the clips into the outstretched hand. "There is a war coming, Quincy," he began with enthusiasm, "and before it begins, I recommend paying a visit to this cafe you've no doubt heard of before. To recognize the enemy's faces, of course." Vahl paused before he dropped the last pin, dwindling it above his palm. Then, between thumb and forefinger, he released it and regarded Quincy with unconcealed delight. "One in particular might interest you."

"Sometimes I wonder," Quincy murmured as he began methodically pinning his fringe away from his eyes once more, clearing his vision with every pin clipped into his white locks, "If insanity is infectious."

As he slid the barrettes back into place, he began to wonder about the sudden look of shock overcoming the other mans face, curiosity settling in his mind like a green fog of persistency, and the nightmare knew he wouldn't be able to think clearly until this new riddle had been solved. Which it wouldn't be until he traveled to this cafe, and found out about it himself. It was a bothersome thing, really, curiosity, and Vahl's actions had managed to throw him off completely.

Once he had all the hair-clips slid safely back into his hair, he looked up at the wisp again, taking in his ecstatically excited face with a slightly befuddled grin, "I don't know what you've realized to make you so disgustingly happy," He drawled teasingly, shrugging his thin shoulders, "And I have no doubt that you'll withhold exactly what it was, because you're difficult like that, aren't you, darling. But please do refrain from touching me again," The general purred, a smirk pulling at the edge of his red stained lips as his eyes flashed with mischief, "Unless you want to start something I'm sure you wont be able to finish."

"No, I'm here, actually." Oliver rasped out, wobbling inside the kitchen area with a small smile, his tail swinging sporadically behind him. The imp looked worse for wear, his hair covered in grass and flower petals, his previously posh clothes stained with blood and dirt. "I got lost in the left side wing of the castle, but I'm here."

The imp limped over to the kitchen counter and leaned on it, removing some of the weight from his legs. His whole body was sore and pained, but there was a bright grin on his face regardless. "How's married life?"

@RegalWindstar

The shade took a slight step to the side, intentionally bringing himself closer to Vincent so he could speak in quiet tones. "I thought the bed was a little too soft," Jun admitted, his eyes laughing. "I almost sank completely into the mattress."

At the sound of his name, Jun quirked his head away, leaving Vincent with another contained smile, before accompanying Raya beside the counter and glancing at the tray. The diced suds looked as though they had been tossed into an ill constructed wood chopper, the pieces encompassing all bizarre shapes and sizes. He plucked one that reminded him of a fat sugar cube, and gave an experimental bite. The consistency was absolutely fine but Raya was right on taste, Jun agreeing they were a smidge too bland for anyone's palette.

Picking up the offered bottle of ketchup - not noticing how enthusiastically Raya shoved it in his direction - Jun turned it upside down and squeezed. Nothing came out, except a puff of tomato air. Frowning, Jun smacked the bottom with the flat of his hand.

Fate sealed, the bottle exploded in an instant, dousing the front of his shirt, his corner of the counter top, and the single potato fry in ketchup paint completely. Jun looked as if he had just murdered a thousand tomatoes as he stood clasping the bottle, speechless and overwhelmed.

"I don't think," he whispered faintly, shell shocked and trembling, "that was supposed to do that."

Akira giggled at what happened to Jun and turned to Oliver, She wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Are you okay Oliver?" She started searching for any injuries she could find fussing over him, She grabbed her handkerchief her one from the day before having been lost and she wet it at the sink before going to Oliver and wiping the dirt off his face and clothes. What happened to him making her frown before she knew it she was crying again she had been so afraid she'd lose him when she came back to her senses. Akira pulled Oliver to her not saying a word just running a trembling hand through his hair. @Cryobionic

"I'm fine," Oliver said, a little startled as she turned on the waterworks. He let her cling to him for a few seconds before he untangled himself from her iron grip and shook his head with a grin, "Honest. A night spent sleeping outside never hurt anybody." The imp swatted away the handkerchief with a giggle, "Besides, you're s'posed to be happy, aren't you? Or is Tinkerbell already turning out to be a disappointment?" Oliver gave Alexander a cheeky grin.

Akira smiled slightly "Y..yeah you're fine.. You're fine." she sniffled it sounded more like she was trying to convince herself. She giggled a tiny bit at the nickname Alexander has ended up stuck with. Alexander raised an Eyebrow "Hey! Oliver you won't get any sausages if you keep that up, just look at Estelle shes in time out for throwing things around and lighting stuff on fire." he smiled. Akira smiled at that "Hes not a disappointment... yet" she giggled. When she heard Alexander give a shocked "hey!" @Cryobionic

"I don't wanna eat anything," Oliver murmured, rubbing at his eyes with his fists. In all honestly, he was feeling a little weird, like his head was willed with cotton, and Akira's voice sounded a little far away, "I'll just watch, but thanks for the offer." He shrugged, before turning around to face the room. His brows furrowed in confusion as he spotted the white haired shade, his entire front covered in orange-y red, "What happened to you?"

Raya bit her bottom lip to keep from laughing but it was no use, it started off as giggles, then muted chuckles but it ended up being hysterica laughter, "Sorry Jun!" She managed to force out in between her laughs. After containing her laughter and regaining the ability to talk she held her hands up, "It was so ment to do that! You have been pranked!" She squealed then glanced over at Akira and Oliver, there was no need for concern so she looked back at Jun, only now noticing the ketchup stained shirt.

"Sorry..." she muttered, not quite managing to stifle the grin on her face. She laughed again, "Don't worry, your not the only person I've pranked today. Akira's council now has neon orange hair." She said with a shrug then she heard Oliver ask what happened to Jun, had he not seen? She picked up one of her fries then wiped it on Jun's shirt -seeing as that was were all the ketchup was now- then threw it at Oliver, "I happened! Watch out, your next buster." She said to Oliver then stuck out her toung.
