Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

"Only people who smell like something dangerous." Oliver replied tartly hugging his arms around himself, his yellow eyes glowing with confused suspicion as they looked up at the stranger. "You scent is like..." He trailed off, his fists clenching as he struggled to remember, and he was growing frustrated as the memories tied to the mans scent wouldn't come, "I don't trust you." He finally said through gritted teeth, ignoring Ellie's angered exclamation. She didn't have the nose of a hellhound, and he did.

........................

The nightmare shivered with excitement, watching as the soldiers all cowered and gave their acknowledgement to their dark mistress, and he glanced over at the lady herself, giving her a proud sort of deranged look, "I've always found your ways with people to be absolutely breathtaking." He murmured with a smirk, stepping off the barrel, the cold, sharp gravel crunching under his bare feet, as he approached the group, leaning down backwards to peek under the helmet of a frightened looking young ghoul, grinning at him, "This one's a traitor." He told her simply, prodding at the ghouls helmet with his purple painted nail, "His biggest fear is being found out. Deal with him appropriately, I'm going to have a bath."

With that, the nightmare danced over to the manor, humming a circus melody as he went.

"I see...."Serathi purred, walking up to the whimpering ghoul, smiling kindly as she traced a long elegant finger across his chest, abruptly digging her hand in his chest, holding in there as the ghoul howled in pain, his screams echoing over the wind, "I do not like being played," she whispered in the ghoul's ear, before crushing his hear in one single blow. "Let this serve as a warning," she called out to the other soldiers who watched the who scene with wide terrified eyes, "To any of you who might think you have a better chance of surviving this war by crossing me, anything you fear, is nothing compared to me," she growled, stomping on the already dead ghoul's chest. "Resume your training," she ordered, walking back to the manor.

Ellie pouted at Oliver's rudeness, sending a apologetic gaze over to Vahl," Oliver, leave him alone!" she pouted, furrowing her brow more. She looked up as Vinny, was whisked in front of her by Raya, smiling up at him," Sorry I had to cause all this trouble," she smiled sadly.

Fingers searched beneath the nearest upholstery in a desperate, absent minded gesture, as Jun felt beneath the table and dug his nails into the wood. Splinters dug into the fragile skin, but before it could break, Jun ripped his hand back and clenched his teeth, looking away from Vahl. He knew the wisp's fatal intention, and feared that if he acted out of line, Vahl would be thrown into a sudden frenzy. With Ellie as the closest victim, Jun refrained from acting out, fear spreading through him like a cold hand.

"I'm fine," he murmured, hearing the concern in Raya's voice, and clenched his fingers into a fist, fighting to remain calm. Crescent marks were imprinted along the inside of his wrist, marks made by the wisp himself, and hastily, Jun pulled the sleeves over the unhealed wounds. "Just, I have to - Excuse me." Jun left the room then, escaping into the bathroom. Not understanding it himself, he had a feeling the wisp would maintain the act as long as Jun didn't act out of line.

Akira nodded giving Vahl a quick hug with a quick "I hope we can become good friends" before rushing off to attend to Ellie. noting Jun's departure to the bathroom wondering if he perhaps ate something bad leaving so quick like that. Akira quickly elevated Ellie's ankle with crystals making sure she was comfortable before addressing Vahl again "Would you like a cup of coffee or perhaps some cake?" she asked motioning to the cake Alexander baked.

"Well I don't tend to take well to people who make my friends look like statues." She said, then her eyes widened as Jun whisked away, "What are yo-" she was cut off by the sound of the bathroom door slamming closed, and she had a feeling it wasn't because he was not feeling well. Raya, being the protector that she was slowly stepped forward and looked straight at the male, "What did you do?" She asked then slowly tilted her head, "Why is Jun acting like that? He was completely fine before you walked inside..."

"Raya! Stop! Vahl didn't do anything!" she glared at the girl, looking down as the swelling in her ankle went down slightly, allowing her to move it a bit gingerly. "He helped me back over here when I couldn't walk! He's my friend!" Ellie said, looking back at where Jun had run into the bathroom, a slightly worried expression on her face, "Jun's fine, he's just a little hungover," she sighed.

Vahl held up a hand in decline, responding to the fairy. She was a bit over bearing, disturbed by the invading hug, and he forced himself to remain pleasant. "I'll have to pass for now, though I do appreciate the offer. My palette isn't too inclined toward sweets." The wisp regarded the girl with roseate locks as she stepped up to him, her gaze still kindled with suspicion.

"I haven't even introduced myself to the boy. What makes you suspect I caused it?" Hearing Ellie's defensive outburst, he gave the same girl the smallest of smiles, head inclined to the side. "A hangover," he murmured, sounding sincere, "how unfortunate." He looked down at her, inches taller than himself. "That should explain his response, yes?"

@DestinyRed

Vincent, confused and very much covered in soap and water, allowed himself to be hurriedly dragged out of the kitchen, not even given the time to put the rage he had been scrubbing the walls with down before he was confronted with a whimpering Ellie, and the tall man from a few nights previous. Giving the man a brief glance, he focused on Ellie, finding her more important at the moment. "What happened?" He asked simply, taking in her disheveled form.

Meanwhile, Oliver huffed in annoyance at the man, who had still to give his name, before backing away from him, his glowing yellow gaze never leaving, never wavering from the mans hands. When he felt his butt hit the barstools, he took a seat and leaned himself against the bar counter, still staring at the stranger, like an distrusting watchdog. The thought of that brought an unbidden giggle bubbling up in his chest, and he was sure that if he had inherited his fathers fur, it would have stood on end right now.

"My ankle," Ellie murmured softly, touching it gingerly, wincing when she felt the sharp pain rush through it, "It's sprained..." she murmured, holding to ice to it gingerly. She smiled up at the demon giggling softly, "I guess it's your turn to take care of me," she giggled nervously.

"Oh really? Cause Oliver and Jun don't seem to dam keen on him." She said then looked back at 'Vahl' "Us protectors know bad blood when we see it." She said then tilted her head slightly, "But who am I to judge?" She asked rhetorically. Then turned on her heal and walked into the kitchen, eyes widening at the soapy mess, "What the heck...?" She asked herself then grabbed a glass of water and some more ice.

Akira smiled nodding at Vahl's decline of the coffee and cake. "Alright. If there is anything you ever need just ask Vahl, its the least I could do for you helping Ellie." she went back to Alexander and the two started talking about cakes and medicine coming up with new ideas together.

@thistle

Ellie sighed, smiling sadly at Vahl," I'm sorry, everyone's been on edge lately,"she smiled sadly, adjusting the ice on her ankle gently.

"That is something to bear in mind," Vahl said after the fae girl, her wings scintillating as she retired next to a companion. With idle eyes he traced the weaving patterns that twined through the glass colored appendages, and wondered if they were just as fragile as they appeared. With a growing sense that felt he had attracted some unwanted get's attention, the wisp's eyes flashed to the imp from before, his red tail continuing its snake like motion.

Unabashed pleasure coated the smile he threw toward the figure, eyes glinting. "I don't bite," he reassured, speaking loud enough for the child to hear, leaving the rest of the sentence trailing into silence unless you tempt me.

With a short exhale Vahl, realizing he was only wasting time at this point began to back out the door. "I'll have to leave you for now." To the witch still held in the arms of Serathi's son he said with some regret, "I'll have to see Chomps later on it seems. My cousin is no doubt waiting for me back at his apartment." He placed the package of meat on a nearby table and with one last look thrown towards the imp, its taunting nature hidden beneath his characteristic smile, Vahl left the cafe completely.

"T-thank you again Vahl," she smiled, blushing slightly as their kiss popped back into her head, avoiding Vinny's kind gaze as he looked down at her. He can't find out about that...she thought sadly to herself, messing with the hem of her shirt nervously. "I'm sorry I mad you all worry," she smiled kindly, giggling nervously, "I think if I stay off my ankle for a few days it should be ok," she smiled, touching her ankle gingerly.

Akira smiled walking up to Ellie patting her head "Just take it easy until your healed. Oh this would pose a problem, I was going to go wedding dress shopping with the girls today." she looked extremely dissapointed @Elfia Nightwing

"Oh! I think I have a idea," she smiled, materializing a crutch, smiling as she stood up using the crutch to take of pressure from her bad ankle, "There we go, already to go!" she smiled happily, giggling at Akira.

With his white locks now hanging in wet ringlets around his head, Quincy excited the bathrooms, into the hallways, quite content with how the day had turned out. He had been rather hesitant at first, to leave his precious lost circus and travel up to the overworld to assist the dark lady in her quest to lay waste to it, however, she had managed to convince him quite easily.

The white haired nightmare stretched his pale, slender arms over his head, relishing in hearing his joints pop, before cartwheeling over to the window, landing expertly up side down in the sill. The world looked quite different up here, he thought, much more green and living than he was used to, and Quincy sighed with a displeased look upon his face, glancing down at the many soldiers now marching along down there.

Twisting his body right side up, he crouched down in the windowsill, a thoughtful expression overtaking his pale features, as he thought about how to ready these wimps for the coming war. They were fidgety and scared, and he had to scoff at some of the fears he had observed as he had glanced them over earlier. One of the dark fairies was even afraid of ladies undergarments. Quincy let out a high pitched, deranged giggle which traveled far down the halls, echoing of the age old walls. They would know fear, after he was done with every last one of them.

....

Oliver glared after the man, a rising growl beginning to build in his chest. He fought it down and clenched his fists tightly. He was sure he had seen a glimmer of smugness in those red orbs. With a snap of his tail he got up and walked over to the rest of the group, his muscles tense and strained, not willing to relax as there was still a possibility the man could return at any moment. With a forced smile he placed a hand on Ellie's shoulder, giving her a reassuring smile, "You're really okay?" He asked her, tilting his head, "I had a sprained ankle once before, and it hurt like fuck."

Ellie smiled, patting Oliver's head," Yeah don't worry, I won't be put out of commission that easily," she smiled kindly down at the imp," Things?" she repeated tilting her head confused, "You mean the crutches?" she asked,looking down at them,

"Yep, they help keep pressure off your bad leg," she smiled, standing up using her crutches to help balance her as she hobbled over to Akira,"See? it really helps," she smiled brightly,"And I can go dressing shopping with you guys after I finish giving Chomp his lunch," she smiled kindly, sitting down at a random table," Vinny can you bring Chomp to me and the meat I bought please," she smiled kindly.

"Yeah, sure," The demon smiled, walking out of the room, a concerned frown still lingering on his face. He returned a few seconds later, the plant dangling from his shirt sleeve, his hair a disarray, "I think it's safe to say he's hungry alright," He told her, grabbing the packet of meat with his free hand, holding the plant up for her take with his other, Chomps squeaked in acknowledgement.

Akira's eyes lit up she inspected the crutches as Ellie sat down "Alex, Alex we need to make these! They would help so many people" Alexander chuckled and walked up behind her, she went to stand up only to stand up right into his waiting arms. She looked up at him curiously and he gave her a quick peck on the lips "You're so cute little bird."

Ellie smiled, taking Chomp lightly in her hands giggling at his squeaks, "Yes, yes I know I'm sorry," she giggled, pulling out one of the packets of meat she had bought, opening the clear plastic, tearing of pieces of meat and feeding them to Chomp's who took each piece happily, chomping it happily. " Wow, you really were hungry, huh little guy," she smiled, giggling as he squeaked happily at her. She looked up when she was done, feeding Chomp, placing him gently on the table, tilting her head at Vinny, "Is something wrong? you look down," she asked, her eyes glowing with worry.

"What?" The demon looked up from where he had been picking at his stitched, to she her silvery blue eyes glancing up at him in concern, he cracked a smile and shook his head, "No, I'm fine, just a little tired is all," He explained, gesturing down to his wet trousers, and soapy hands, "I've been cleaning that damned kitchen for nearly two hours now, and I'm really just stalling so that I won't have to get back to it soon." He chuckled before bringing his finger to his lips with a wink, "Don't tell Seera."
