Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

Zero finished his drink and looked over hearing something about a weapon....... He then lit another cigarette but didn't make a move, he just kept his eye on the imp but then he turned to his case and began to search for something. It was at this moment where a drunk mummy came over and saw the cigarettes and without thinking he picked the lighter and the pack up and looked at it saying "This is a really crappy brand dude....." Zero immediately looked at the mummy and stood up "Drop it now!" The mummy shook his head "Sorry dude but...." Zero grabbed both theack and the lighter and pushed the mummy hard so he just fell flat on his butt. Then the other mummies start to come over drunkenly shouting at Zero and getting ready for a fight. Zero didn't make a move to start fighting but he was preparing himself for a fight. He looked at the mummy who seemed to be the leader of the group mire or less responding to him "Well maybe he shouldn't have fucked with my cigarettes!" The mummy shook his head as he said something drunkenly.

((A fight is about to go down!!!))

"Eh?" Ellie looked down at the saucer, running her fingers over her name engraved in elegant cursive. As soon as her fingers touched the saucer, it seemed to realise a charm placed on the saucer, more words appearing after Ellie. Happy Birthday, love grandmother. What ever tears she had been holding back came out in that moment, as Ellie collasped to her knees, holding the bar for support, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face.

The demon frowned in concern, grabbing the sobbing witch and guiding her into the kitchen, away from the prying eyes of the other customers. He gave the new waiter a look which clearly said Mind the bar for a moment, before closing the door to the kitchen with a sigh. He turned to Ellie, his eyes soft. "If you want to, you can turn in for the night," He told her with a small, reassuring smile, pulling her shaking form to him, "You don't need to push yourself."

Ellie shook her head, " No...I-I'm ok..." she murmured, wiping tears from her eyes offering a half hearted smile to the demon. " I wanna keep working, I don't wanna become useless," she murmured, looking down.

Admittedly, Vahl had not expected the additional charm hidden within the cup, maintaining a look of utter sympathy as he watched the pair retreat from the room. Once they disappeared, the mask fell, and he took the saucer back into his hands, taking a look at the message himself. "That worked out nicely," he murmured and with a faint flick of the wrist two red spheres left his fingers and into the room the two had disappeared in. They remained invisible to all, except for the small witch he had in mind.

Not wanting to appear out of place the wisp turned to regard the scuffle taking place at one end of the cafe, registering surprise as he watched a body fly across the room, crashing into one of the shelves.

"You're not going to become useless," Vincent scoffed, shaking his head, "I mean, you're kind of very important, in case you've forgotten," He chuckled, poking her forehead teasingly, "But I don't want you to hurt yourself." The demon murmured, giving her a look.

Graeme stood up and dashed into the fight breaking it up. "Stop it now, or I'll cut each of you to ribbons!" He pointed his engraved knife at each of them, "Anyone wanna find out what this does? You'll love it, I guarantee..." @Archdemon

.....................................

Gnag scampered out his cupboard and watched the fight. "Oye, ye laddies are much to loud ya know!" Shat yer traps before I start stealin yer shit!"

Ellie giggled, smiling up at Vinny, " Ok, I guess i can rest for a bi-" Ellie's eyes went wide as she heard the familiar sounds of fighting come from the main area, " Vinny," she whimpered, looking at the demon with worried eyes, blinking a few times when she was what looked like two red orbs of flame come near her, Am I finally losing my mind? she wondered tilting her head, looking at the orbs with curiosity.

Because the light essentially was himself, the wisp felt what the light felt, saw what the lights could see. Though he seemed to be watching the continuation of the fight, a new figure joining the fray and brandishing a dagger, Vahl saw Ellie staring down at himself. Beneath the table his fingers began to move, like a conductor guiding his orchestra, and caused the lights to bob through the air, motioning for her to follow.

The demon exited the kitchen as the loud sounds of obvious fighting began to break out. He stopped by the bar, and just stared at the scene for a minute. The mummies had all seemed to have decided simultaneously that the whiskey guy was worthy of beating to a pulp, Graeme was waving his dagger around mindlessly and Mrs. Cromwell was rolling her eyes while examining her long, red fingernails. The rest of the cafe seemed relatively unfazed.

With a slight, exasperated sigh, the demon marched over to the mummies and grabbed the 'leader' by his bandaged neck, dragging him towards the door before throwing the drunken Egyptian out into the darkness, sending him tumbling across the wet pavement. He looked up at the rest of the rowdy group and raised an eyebrow, gesturing at the door with his unoccupied hand.

As the mummies were very aware of who the supposed owner of their favorite watering hole was, and what would happen should the decide to oppose him, the began marching out the door muttering apologies quite swiftly. Vincent grinned at them, waving cheerfully as the last one was out the door, before shutting it with a bang, pinching the bridge of his nose with a small groan. First day open after a week and a fight breaks loose. Great.

He gave Graeme a warning glare before going back to the bar, taking up his usual place behind it.

Ellie tilted her head, a batch of curiosity popping up in her chest as she followed the red orbs, out of the back of the kitchen. " Where are we going?" she called out the orbs, flinching as a elder human woman looked at her like she was crazy, Can no one else seem them!? she thought worried.

A slight shiver ran down his back as the lights exited out a back door and drifted into the evening chill. Based on the clarity of the girl's tone, she had undoubtedly followed them outside. To a degree he was impressed Ellie was still capable of coherent thought, hearing the slight note of uncertainty as the witch followed them outside. More often than not, others in the past had followed the lights unquestioning, moving in a mindless fashion after them until they finally tumbled off a mountain side or into the depths of a raging river.

Vahl finished his tea like any grateful customer and even took a polite bite from the danish set before him earlier. Then, placing his money on the counter top, he pushed himself from his seat, pausing long enough to address the bartender. "Thank you for the hospitality, and I do hope your waitress feels better," he told him sincerely. The moment the man turned to return a customary good bye, Vahl caught sight of his eyes and recognized him in an instant. After discovering the witch's name and the small interaction between herself and the man, Vahl pinned him for who he was.

Ellie stopped for a moment gasping for air, as she looked at the two orbs confused, " What do you want from me!?" she called out to them, ignoring the passing humans confused looks at the girl who seemed to be yelling at nothing. Ellie groaned as the orbs moved forward again, not giving the blue haired witch a chance to rest. " This better be worth it," she grumbled, continuing her pursuit.

"I'm sure she will," Vincent replied pleasantly, grabbing the money from the counter before opening the cash register, "Sorry about the spectacle earlier, some of our regulars tend to get a little too comfortable at times," The demon chuckled, closing the cash drawer with his hip before turning to face the man fully, "I do hope it doesn't discourage you from returning, though. I promise it only happens once every two days or so," He joked, flashing the stranger a dimpled grin.

Zero just watched as the mummies left the cafe and he looked at the imp who was threatening him and the group before they left, the knife wasn't very impressive and if it was magical it still wouldn't do much to anything against zero since he can many things with the shadows. He grabbed his cigarette pack and lit another smoke before sitting down and going through his Case again looking for whatever he was looking for. He knew he should've busted the mummies but the demon kicked them out before he had a chance to do so. He found what he needed and got up walking to counter leaving money for the drinks and a business card and it read: "This is a contact card for Dectective Zero, here is my number if you need any help or have a crime to report. And here is my address in case you need to talk or to do something else."On the back it revealed some more writing that only the supernatural could read "If you're wondering on what I am I'm a Shadow Demon and yes there is a jail made for monsters." He soon left the cafe and saw the witch who served him coffee earlier talking to thin air.... It was a strange sight but maybe something was off so he used his Shadow powers to hide his presence everyone and everything waiting for something to happen. She could be crazy but she seemed to be normal from what little experience he had with her and also the fact that no cafe even a monster one would hire a crazy person.

@Cryobionic

"If anything the ruckus proves entertainment for the cafe," Vahl replied, "keeps everyone on their toes. It was a pleasure to" - Vahl was tempted to say 'finally' but thought otherwise - "meet you." Tilting his head to excuse himself the wisp slipped outside the cafe, stepping over the sheddings left behind by the vagabond group of mummies, before starting out on the street side. Mindful of the direction of the orbs, he started in the opposite direction in a brisk pace.

Due to the set up of this portion of the city, if one continued to turn in the same direction at each corner, they would eventually find themselves back where they began. He made sure to have the lights disappear before he arrived upon the witch. With a little bit of searching he spotted her on the opposite side of the street, and waved to her from where she was, intending to catch her attention.

"Eh!?" Ellie looked up when the two bulbs of lights finally disappeared to show the newcomer, " You're... The man I just served in the cafe," she murmured walking over to him, her bluish silver eyes glittering with confusion, " Were you causing those light?" she asked tilting her head.

Playing the shy customer Vahl gave her a slight non-committal shrug before holding up a hand to reveal the familiar pieces of light dancing in his palm. "You caught me," he admitted, chuckling, "although they tend to have a mind of their own. I'm sorry if they led you astray, out..." The wisp looked around themselves, feigning puzzlement. "Well wherever we are. I was just on my way out, but I'm glad I ran into you. Are you feeling any better, Ellie? It seemed the message your grandmother left was something unexpected."

Ellie smiled looking down, " Yes...we would always leave secret messages to one another in places that were special to us, it was like our special way of letting the other knew they cared," she smiled sadly, her eyes glittering. " Thank you for asking, mr... Oh.. I don't even know your name," she giggled looking up at mystery man.

Vahl sent the lights forward to weave a tiny show of display before the girl, deciding to entertain her for a bit. "Vahl," he said in return, "who is currently looking for the nearest bus stop. I might have taken a wrong turn in my hurry - it's by the cafe, yes?" Without waiting for an answer the wisp turned heel and began the way back he had came earlier, motioning for Ellie, who seemed enthralled by the lights, to follow. "If you wouldn't mind some extra company, I can escort you there. Best not to walk by yourself during this time of the night." He paused, waiting for her to catch up. "By the way, you said 'would', as though you referred to your grandmother as someone in the past."

" Yes...She passed away a few days ago," Ellie looked down from Vahls gaze, he seemed like a good trustworthy person. " She died in a house fire that consumed our antiques shop and my home," She frowned, her eyes slightly glazed over from the lightshow.

Just on the opposite side of the conversation taking place between the wisp and the witch, Jun arrived before the cafe. Visibly shaken, he paused long enough before the entrance to notice the new embellishments surrounding the cafe. Layers of shining gossamer hung about the entrance, weaved into delicate design, yet remained fixed in place, presumably magic as Jun passed beneath it. Regardless, the archway was lovely and helped his shaken state somewhat. The umbrella was now closed and clasped tightly within both hands, the shade refusing to open it for the time being.

Rather than storing it in its customary basket, Jun kept it firmly to his side. The cafe appeared the same as always, aside from the overturned chairs on one side of the room. He noticed a few unfamiliar faces, edging away from the man who continued to draw shadows from thin air, the smell of cigarettes surrounding him. He passed by a waiter whose face seemed new as well, taking mind not to be batted by an outstretched wing of his before making it to the counter top where Vincent was. The shade also had to skip around an imp who appeared to be wielding a hammer wildly in the air, attempting to fix the occupied chairs while the customers stared wide eyed at him, distracted from their meal or chatter.

Occupying a seat that still had the remnants of the last patron, a drained cup of tea and a nearly untouched pastry, Jun appeared in view, soaking in the familiar feel of the wood, trying to draw comfort from its cold surface.

Ellie smiled at Vahl when the cafe came into view, " Thank you for walking me back," she smiled brightly. " It was very nice meeting you Vahl, you'll come back to the cafe right?" she smiled at him shyly.

"But she still had a message waiting for you," Vahl encouraged. He extended a single finger purposefully in the air, the others hanging limp and called to the lights. Apparently disappointed at their failed attempt to cheer up the girl, the red orbs perched themselves on the limb and one by one began to dive off the polished nail. "So she isn't gone completely, nor will she ever, based on your tears. She is a memory you will never forget. And it appears you have the support of that man behind the bar table as well. He spoke to me before I left but was unable to catch his name..."

As they arrived Vahl inclined his head, smiling. "If I should be passing through again, of course. Should you ever need to take a stroll again, let me know. I'd hate to see tears stain such a pretty face."

" O-Oh, that was probably Vinn- Vincent!" she corrected herself quickly, a light pink blush over her cheeks, " Yeah... He's currently let me stay with him, he's someone very very important to me...." she smiled lovingly, her eyes glittering with love and affection at the thought of Vinny. She blushed at the pretty face comment, looking down, " I-i-i'm not that pretty.." she stuttered, obviously flustered. The only people who've ever called me pretty were Vinny and Maria... she thought looking down.
