Fantasy Magic Brew Cafè (CLOSED)

Ellie nodded looking down,"It just started over Ase and Ollie arguing over Estelle, ase called her a demon and Ollie was standing up for her, but then switched over to yelling at Ollie accusing him of trying to sleep with Estelle and calling him some really mean stuff, finally he had enough and dumped his drink on her and called her a hen. And that's when everything went bad," she finished up looking down," I thought they would stop fighting so I just ignored it but when Excalibur started attacking Ollie..." She wrapped her thin arms around her self, making her seem even smaller," I couldn't stop them fast enough," she whimpered tears welling her eyes.

"You couldn't have stopped them, even if you had been fast enough," Vincent told her, pulling the shaking witch to him, "Excalibur is an archangel weapon, remember? She will follow her masters orders regardless of who stands in her way. Had you gotten involved, she would have likely..." The demon didn't finish that sentence, and a small shudder ran through his body at the thought of what could have happened. "I'm surprised Oliver wasn't the one who started the fight, actually. He seems the type, don't you think?" Vincent joked halfheartedly, trying to lighten the mood somewhat.

Excalibur picked the angel up and a bright light engulfed the two. as the light died down the two had vanished.

Maria walked back inside the cafe, her legs wobbling with the threat of giving out as she made her way over to the bar, laying her head on the cool wood when she reached it," Vincent...mix me strongest drink you know how to please..." She asked softly, her left ring ringer bare of her engagement ring which was currently tucked safely inside her coat pocket.

Oliver was staring at the ceiling, his whole body feeling light and cold. He could make out the color differentiation where the hole had been, but it seemed like the hole was moving around a lot, as of it didn't want to stay int he same place. It felt as if he had been drinking for three days straight, which he had done before, because the room was wobbling back and forth as if on water. It was odd, he thought as a small chuckle escaped his lips, how he couldn't really feel his hands or feet anymore. The pain was gone, now, but it had been replaced with a cold, numb feeling and he was having a little difficulty breathing properly. It felt as of something was blocking his throat, like... cotton or something. Oliver couldn't make sense of it, and instead chose to close his eyes, as for some reason his eyelids were getting heavier and heavier by the second.

....................

Vincent's eyes narrowed as both angel and weapon suddenly flashed away, feeling that it wasn't really appropriate for them to just... leave like that. Shaking his head, he remembered that Akira's crystal had really done a number on the angel, and she would probably need some medical assistance immediately. He hoped she would make it.

The demon walked over to the bar, running his hand over the cool, smooth surface, drawing comfort from the familiar material, deep in thought. When Maria came over, he nodded at her once, glad to have been given something to do to distract him for a while. Pulling out the necessary ingredients, he decided to make her a 'slightly' stronger than average moonshine mojito. That should do the trick, anyway. While shaking the drink, he motioned for Ellie to join them at the bar, as she looked quite lost just standing in the middle of the cafe, before asking the question on everybody's mind,

"What are we going to do now?"

Maria sighed sipping her drink," I don't know...but if this keeps up It won't be Serathi who kills us," she sighed. " It'll be us.." Ellie said quietly sitting next to Maria at the bar.

"We certainly wont be able to defeat her at this rate," Vincent murmured, getting out another glass before pouring the remainder of the drink into it, handing it to Ellie, "Or at any rate, if we don't stop fucking around like this. What happened tonight was totally unnecessary, not to mention completely inappropriate." The demon sighed, running a hand over his face as he looked at the two passed out, small forms on the table. He glanced over at Maria, raising an eyebrow in inquiry, "What would cause Ase to snap like that? It was completely out of character for her." He questioned, hoping the angels fiancee might provide them with some dearly needed answers.

"I don't know... Even when she's drunk she's never been violent," Maria sighed, pulling out her engagement ring spinning it on the bar," Lately it just seems like everything is making her angry," she sighed staring at the ring.

"What are you going to do?" The demon asked softly, grabbing a third glass, "Do you know where she went? Or what else have been pissing her off lately?" He continued as he reached for the bottle of moonshine, filling his own glass to the brim with the strong liquor.

"Probably back to heaven... All this stuff with her dad, and Rodwen... I think it's getting to her...but to be honest...I still can't believe that's the better option then having to sit in a lake lava for the rest of eternity!" She cried out,"That place is completely shackled by rules!! I though heaven was supposed to be party central!!" Maria cried out dowing her glass in one swift gulp, holding out her glass for more.

"What did you expect?" Vincent chuckled, shaking his head as he started on her second drink, "Remember, these are the guys who refuses to help us with Serathi in the first place, because they need to 'survey the situation'." The demon poured her glass up, cracking a smile, "You should visit hell sometime, though," He said in a dark, menacing voice, "And try sitting in a lake of lava for yourself. It's actually not half bad. And our barbecue sauce is amazing." The demon deadpanned, taking a sip of his own drink to keep from cracking up.

"I've been before....and I'm never going back," She looked levelly at at him. Ellie smiled,"

That's right... Mother dragged you along when she had to do a diplomatic visit to the Brimstone Order," she remembered. Maria shivered," Noire dragged me through where they kept the hellhounds, and made me watch as they tortured the new souls... I couldn't even sleep that week because my room was haunted by a ghost girl who would levitate my bed and mess around with the light to create illusions..." Maria remembered growing paler which each new memory.

"How did you find a way around the death barrier?" Vincent asked curiously, tilting his head. Usually, nothing considered 'mortal' could enter through the gates of hell, diplomatic visits or no, so he was rather exited to figure out how on earth Ellie's mother had managed that. Plus, he was a little curious as to what could have promoted the meeting, as the Order didn't usually involve themselves with non-hell related matters. He didn't ask, though, "I always liked watching the hellhounds," He admitted with a small grin, "It was kind of fascinating, would throw them raw pieces of flesh sometimes, when I was younger."

(Hmmmm I just thought of something deliciously evil~~>:3)

"Death barrier?" Maria tilted her head in confusion," "What are you talking about, Noire usually just waltzed into hell," she admitted. Ellie smiled when he mentioned the hellhounds," Maria used to try and feed popcorn to my venus flytraps," she laughed causing Maria to pout in embarressment.

"That shouldn't really be possible," Vincent informed her, taking another swig of his drink, and wincing a little as the clear liquid his his tongue, as pure moonshine tasted horrible, it calmed his nerves, though, "Usually, only hell beings or dead people can get through unscratched. That, and there's guards. Cerberus guards, actually." He told the witch with a small smile, imagining the flytraps and chuckling a little, "Did they eat them, though?"

"No." Maria pouted looking down. Ellie looked doen thinking about what Vinny had said about hell. How did my mother manage to get into hell... She thought, when she suddenly gasped a sharp shivering going up her spine." Vinny... Could... Someone who was under demonic influence get past the barrier?...." She answered, hoping she was wrong.

"Um, yeah," Vincent deadpanned, "I once possessed a young-" The demon halted in his sentence, realizing what Ellie was implying, and his face grew pale, "You don't think...?"

Ellie began shaking violently, wrapping her arms around herself as she tried to take deep calming breaths. They were coming out as hyperventilating ones. "My mother wasn't seeing the Brimstone order..." She said quietly.

"She was seeing Serathi," Vincent finished for her, his eyes wide. He hurriedly poured Ellie's glass to the brim with moonshine, shoving it towards the witch, she would need it. He turned to Maria, shock still evident on his face, "Did you ever... actually meet the order? Or see Noire speak to them?"

"I-I don't think so!" Maria stuttered,"I remember her speaking to some will o' wisp, I always thought he was like a underling! Vahl! I remeber his name was Vahl!!" Maria gasped as she watched Ellie star out into nothingingness nervously.

"Vahl?" Vincent repeated, rolling the name around in his brain to see if he had ever heard of someone by that name, but coming up blank, "I don't think I've ever heard of a 'Vahl' before," He finally said, frowning a little, shaking his head. "At least not that I can think of," The demon turned back to Ellie, a concerned look on his face, "Ellie?"

After Ase and Excalibur dissapeared Akira finally moved, her creations took guard at the door as she flew back into the cafe and sat by Oliver's side. The crystals slid of her skin like melting ice shattering on the ground. The runes faded and her wings were back to normal, Her hair turned back to brown before it turned blue in sadness occasionally flickering to red. Only one eye was glowing purple now. She gently ran her fingers through Oliver's hair.

Ellie tried controlling her breathing, and tried to stop shaking but she couldn't. With everything going on, losing her home, all of them fighting, losing her grandmother, and now this?... Her vision began to blur as she felt herself fall out of the seat, her vision going black. " Ellie!!" Maria called out as she watched the blue haired witch pass out.

Vincent yelped as Ellie's eyes suddenly rolled back into her head, and tried to reach over and grab her before she crashed to the floor. He was to late, though, evident by the soft thump and the scraping of the chairs legs against the floor as it too, fell over. The demon ducked under the bar, scrambling underneath the shelves to get to her faster, checking her pulse and breathing as he got to her.

With a sigh of relief, he looked up at Maria, cradling the witch's head in his lap, "She's fine, just out cold," He stammered.
