How powerful is the orc's Primal Surge ability? Because that's really the orc's only selling point, otherwise I'll just make a human strongman because humans are overpowered stats wise. :3

Its a flat X2 multiplier. But orc monks have been known to push it to X2.5. The regen Basically negates bleeding to death and prevents crippling blows but not death or dismemberment. The stamina boost is equal to the strength boost but is less impressive considering the state only lasts about a minute.

Orc monks? Is that a subspecies or an orc class specialisation?
Like a class. In this world Monks are essentially followers of a particular god akin to priests but more battle ready. Orcs tend to Favor the Goddess Lyre as their patron. Monks use primarily self buff magic from totems. Orc monks are especially good at this and can apply it to nearly any aspect of themselves...but they usually just try and get stronger and smash stuff. Not always...but usually.

Also could you explain magic a bit more please. I believe I read that to use a spell, it will break the item used as a medium to cast it. Does that mean all enchanted items have a lifetime or is there a way to avoid losing your item? Can you refuel the spell with more souls? Is it possible to enchant your own body? Can I simply cast spells without the need of items?

The way magic works is you basically enchant an item with whatever spell you can imagine. Be it a self buff or a fireball or a status debuff for a foe. The mage sets the parameters.

So the first step is study learn what combination of souls and what organization of mana can produce the desired function.

1st step function= Study/Science

Next they have to gather the item they need. Most people choose expandable things because once they use all the magic within it the item disintegrates. It cannot be recharged once it is charged because each gift of mana has a different wavelength. But there are ways to preserve the item in a sense. For example. Many monks opt to get a staff with many metal rings on it. They enchant the rings before they attach them to the staff that way they only lose rings instead of the entire staff. So step 2 is to equip yourself in a creative fashion because your body cannot hold mana for more than a few minutes. (Such as when you cast a buff spell on yourself.)

2nd step totem selection = picking expendable or functional items.

The final step is getting the mana and enchanting your item with the selected spell. Imma use numbers here to make it easier

Say you kill an ogre (or a bunch of goblins) and its soul is the mana you have lets say 100 points. You have to put the entire soul in one item but you still have options.

You can choose to put all 100 points in the item for a single cast powerful throwaway spell. (Our two elf siblings have taken that route.)

Or you can divide it into and number that divides into 100. 5 sums of 20. 10 sums of 10. 20 sums of 5 etc. This can be used to make a reusable item. So if you have 10 sums of 10 that means the spell is 1/10 as strong as the single cast version...but it can be used 10 times. Certain creatures give you more mana. For example a goblin gives you like 10, an ogre like 100. Giants and dragons are upwards of 1000. The more mana you have the more power you can use for multi casting or power casting.

So step 3 is enchanting= Dividing up the soul into the desired potency/quantity ratio.

Hope this helps Kloudy Kloudy

So if I enchant a sword with a spell that divides 10 times for 10 uses and I use it once, can I kill something to regain that lost use?
Also you won't like my club 'cause I'm basically cheating in that case... xD

No you must do a tribute to a god to get the magic. And even then items can never recharge. But if you had a sword or something you could enchant a gem in the pommel or something like that.

As for the club i have an idea to make it work in a sense.

The one who made it (Lyre) gave it 2 enchantments. The first would be bloodlust the ability that increases the users strength based off their motivation (to a max of +5.) the second is called Rejuvenation (all god artifacts have this power) which allows them to recharge over time. So it doesnt factor in the souls of those it kills (though that doesnt mean the orcs cannot beleive that) but instead factors the amount of fight in the users heart. Granted it can still be at 10mana considering it will be wielded by a being who fights often. Id imagine orcs have never seen it at max power. XD

Ooh, I want that one! X3
It's helpful because my character is currently stupid enough to act purely on motivation, instinct and not much else. And what sort if orc would he be if he didn't have the biggest fighting spirit around? I still have a question though: how does one's fighting spirit affect the club's recharge rate?
Also, would you like me to rename the club something like "The Club of Lyre" now that it's of their creation?

Indeed on the name change.
And honestly thats why i wanted to give the club to you. You made the orcest orc ever.

Fighting spirit doesnt help it recharge. It just depends on the bonus if he isnt really into the fight or is terrified it will only give him +1 or +2. But if he is fighting for something he really beleives in (like say his right to cave your face in for stealing his steak.) itll be a +3 or +4. But on the rare occasion that he cares more about killing something than surviving. He gets a +5 (the Pluses might be boosted by learning magic knowledge to more efficiently use the clubs mana.)

Hmm, well there's an issue there then. He wants to kill everyone he fights, so I'll be getting that +5 pretty much every time except for a few rare occasions such as if someone manages to scare him or it's someone he actually cares about. Of course, that's okay with me, but it's down to you still.

I am down. trust me as strong as he is there will be plenty to match and even surpass him. (Namely giants and dragons) but i don't just mean want to kill. It needs to be put above all else including him surviving. (Basically any time he activates the primal surge.) id put average boost at about 3. Anger gets him to 5.

For the record with a strength rating of 25 your orc could lift about 6000-7000 lbs. Thats enough strength to knock down a cottages stone walls, or chop through a drawbridge. Your orc is Likely top 5 for the worlds strongest mortals.

Ooh, I was close then! I insinuated that my character had once knocked a castle wall down, so I'll have to edit that down a bit lol. But hell yeah, I wanted to make this dude as physically strong as I possibly could and it seems to have worked out! xD
Another question (and sorry for the mass bombardment) but if I used the club to gain 15 strength in total and then used Primal Surge, would that boost me to 30 or does that just boost the base strength level?

Just the base.

Here's a rhetoric: Who is the woman that managed to tame the seas? I feel like this question is something that should be revealed at some point in the story.
Also I do want to know, can we can use souls from the normal races such as humans, elves, ect to supplement our spells? Because in that case Muh the orc Warlord may have to change his quest slightly once he discovers how magic works.

The woman who tamed the seas is one of the Four Yokai. (Worlds most powerful Mortals.) they come up later. All thats known is that she is called the pirate queen and she has bested the chaos beasts of the sea (no small feat.)

As for the mortal souls...no. The only god that takes mortal souls is Logoth. And he doesn't bargain. The souls just come to him.
