Lyle Hill (horror Rp) - It was three years ago to day when the bodies started to show up.

Lyle Hill

It was three years ago on this day when the bodies started showing up, mutilated and barely recognizable. People would start disappearing in there homes one day, a few days later they would be found at the top of Lyle hill, terrible things done to them, missing limbs, and even bite barks from something that didn't seem to human. No one was ever found living on the top of that hill, and the people of the town started to except there never would be a living soul there. Soon...

It is drizzling, a cold fog creeping over the somber town covered in death. And as always it is quiet on this rainy Tuesday morning as Rowan gets dressed for school, pulling up a pair of old patched skinny jeans over her thighs. But then again it is always quiet when it came to this town. It is as if everybody is to afraid to even whisper, in fear that they might wake the monsters under their beds. " Sometimes I think we be better of if the thing from Lyle Hill would just kill us already, suspense is no good," She mutters, struggling to slip on her bright red One Stars.

She hops into the kitchen on one foot, still struggling with the goddamned shoe. Mother frowning at her as she curses as a sailor," I am not buying you new shoes, just because you pick hard ones to put on," Her mother says, picking up a very tiny bottle with a string attached to it," Now wear this all day please." Placing the necklace around her next without waiting for her to protest how that it didn't actually work. The small girl frowns, but doesn't speak a word. Instead she grabs a piece of cook bacon that she had just notice was on the table and ran out the door.

Angela Cross woke up in a startled panic. I'm going to be late for school again. She thought to herself in dismay as she looked at her alarm clock that had failed to wake her up for the third day in a row this week. Hurriedly, she pulled on a pair of jeans and threw on a shirt she found on her floor without stopping to see if either were dirty or clean, and ran out her bedroom door and down the staircase to the kitchen, hoping to find breakfast on the table. Of course, that was a long shot and Angela knew it, so it didn't come as a shock to her system when she found her mother passed out on the kitchen table with a bottle of booze next to her. Angela sighed and grabbed the car keys off the counter and ran out the door, letting her backdoor slam.

Rina woke up at her usual early time of 6am, looking out her bedroom window she saw the gloomy skies and devilish fog... Only, this was a good day for her. She had gotten used to her daily routine and she knows she wont ever be targeted to be dead on Lyle hill, it's just not plausible in her mind. Rina got dressed in her normal boring attire; Black skinny jeans, and a grey sweater today it was. She had taken to the style of also wearing combat boots. Around her neck was a real emerald, her birthstone, in a pendant that hung by silver chains knotted around each other.

She ate her breakfast, an apple, alone as usual. Finally being it time for school she walked out of the small home, or cottage, and headed off towards the direction of the school. She looked up at the sky, thinking that today was going to be slightly different. For whatever reason, of course...

Maki laid in his bed staring blankly at the ceiling. He could hear the rain splashing down onto the roof of his apartment. He looked around the room, it was morning and light was pouring through the gaps in his curtains. He looks around the room. His apartment was tiny and cluttered with take-out boxes from the restaurant he worked at down the street. He rubs his face and slowly gets out of bed, then walks across the room and looks down at yesterdays paper sitting on his desk. "Hmmm more bodies were found on that old hill" he says to himself out loud. "Not that it's much of a surprise" he says then walking towards his bathroom. Twenty minutes pass and Maki steps out of the bathroom with a towel draped over his head. He slips on his black jeans and throws his black jacket over his shoulder as he walks out the door.

Maki walks down the fog covered street with his hands in his pockets looking up into the sky. 'This place is always so dull just like that stupid orphanage' he thinks to himself still walking down the street. He stops at the street corner to wait for passing cars. He looks over at one of the street lights, the base covered with missing person posters. 'It's pointless to look, once they disappear the only place you will see them again is on that old hill in the center of town. This is the town we live in, there is no hope and when people disappear they are as good as gone. Relationships with anyone will just lead to misery. You could say it's ideal for someone of my situation with no family or friends and not to much to live for'. He sighs "I shouldn't think such depressing things, it makes me sound pathetic." He mutters under his breath as he walks into his place of employment, a restaurant named Sal's Diner.

Goosebumps appeared on Rowan's arm as she walked through the drizzle on the way to school. The rain which had been pouring down this morning was finally letting up, and the clouds looked like they might have a chance of break down and letting in a few rays of sun. But for now the gray clouds would dominate the sky. They found Lizzy at Lyle yesterday. Her body was covered in bite marks. The thought made her frown, a feeling of unease falling over her," I think I will run now," She mutters to herself, running for the last stretch of the way to school, passing Sal's Diner. almost running in a dark haired man who was walking into the old diner," Sorry," She calls out behind her, without turning around.

She climbs up the schools steps, and doesn't stop her fast pace until she is inside the building," Well, today is gonna suck." She states plainly, taking off her jacket, walking over to her locker, shoving all her stuff in it, and slamming it with a loud bang. The halls were mostly empty, as usual. Most parents didn't send there kids out the day after the bodies show up. But you know school was school. The few students who were there though whispered quietly about Lizzy, about the bite marks that seemed to big to be made from a humans mouth. Rowan, didn't really know Lizzy she had talked to her a few times. But that was about it.

When Rina arrived at the school, she went to her locker as usual. The halls being vast and empty, except for the occasional student passing by her. She set her school things inside and thought about the new girl that they had found dead, "It's only a waste to worry about anyone here... Don't they know that it could be them next? Everyone is so idiotic..." She said in her mind. Rina had the same stoic and blank look on her face as per everyday... There wasn't a need to show emotion when it's not necessary.

The slam of a locker snapped her out of her brooding. She looked over to the sound to see her classmate Rowan. She hadn't really paid too much mind to Rowan before, other than the fact that both of there names started with the same letter. She had a majority of classes with her though. She shut her locker and holding her things, she walked past Rowan towards her class.

Maki sat there on one of the black booths in the front of the restaurant staring blankly out the window. 'This day has already started off absolutely dismal just like every other day, apparently three years of death and despair really ruins people appetites.' He thinks to himself, 'And what was with that brown haired high school girl almost running in to me, I swear that's a bad omen if I have ever seen one'. "At least the rain has finally let up" he mutters to himself still staring blankly out the window. Maki had never been the type to believe in the paranormal but all those murders seemed completely inhuman. He started thinking about the pictures he had seen of the mutilated bodies with the massive bite marks, each body coated in blood. How could people just disappear like that, what could possibly cause all of these weird murders, and what happens to these people in between their disappearance and the eventual fate of their bodies ending up on that old hill. Just then Maki's boss Sal himself walked up to him. "You can leave early I am just going to close up early for the day, it doesn't seem like anyone will be coming in today, especially since they found that young girls body." Sal said dismally. "Alright boss." Maki said as he stood up and headed toward the back. Maki picked up his black jacket and headed toward the door. 'What am I even going to do with my new found free time?' He thought to himself as he headed out of the old diner. "I really need to get myself some hobbies. " he sighed as he walked down the street.

Rowan notices Rina, giving her a small smile, she waves, walking over to her," Hey." She greets Rina, with a solemn smile," Did you hear about Lizzy?" She asks, shoving her small hands into her pockets. A distinct pout forming on her face. BLLLLLIIIIINNNNGGGGG! The bell sounds off loudly, signaling the start of class," Oh joy, history," Rowan says sarcastically, doing some jazz hands just to show how excited she was. I find it ironic that we take history, yet we don't even know if we will survive the next day. She sighs, clinching onto her books.

Rina didn't know why people really bothered to speak to her, she couldn't possibly be all that appealing... She smiles back at Rowan, not wanting to be rude or off-putting to anyone.

"Hi" Her voice was soft and a little quiet.

"I heard..."
How could I not take an interest in mass murder? "It's terrible, really..." She says with a sigh.

At the sound of the bell, she jumped a little. "It's definitely my favorite class" She says with equal sarcasm, a small frown forming on her face. Since her and Rowan had the same class, she figured she might as well walk with her
. I knew this day would be worth my while... Sigh, if only I could meet whoever it is that's killing those people...

Maki was walking endlessly in the streets, with no clear destination in his mind. The street was still soaked from the rain that had just barely cleared up and the fog was still hovering over the small town. Very few people were out and about today, since they had just recently found that girl on Lyle's hill. "This town is so bleak, what a horrible place to have to die in." He says as he stares up at the gray sky. Maki finds himself standing in front of the high school just down the road from his work. "Exactly how I remember it, rundown and boring. " He sighs as he stares blankly at the main entrance. He turns away and looks back up into the sky. 'I thought high school was supposed to be the toughest chapter of a person's life.' "So what's up with the bullshit murder mystery chapter I find myself in now." He blurts out, then let's out a sigh as he continues walking. Maki goes back and forth in his head reflecting on things that happened in his past, not really paying much attention to what direction he is going. Finally he shakes his head back in forth and looks up to find himself standing at the base of the towns most infamous hill. He stares at the hill for awhile, everything about this hill looked ominous. From the completely dead landscape all the way up to the eyrie fog that loomed over the old hill. "Damn this place gives me the creeps..." He says to himself under his breath. He takes a seat at a bench located on the sidewalk below the hill and closes his eyes.

Maki finds himself deep in thought. 'This whole thing is so messed up. None if it can be explained and no one even knows how to begin finding out what's really going on. If only Sayuri was here, she was always great at thinking outside of the box, she would be sure to pick up on some sort of lead or clue.' He hated himself for thinking of her at a time like this. 'Where did you go Sayuri I just don't understand, we did say we would stay with each other forever no matter what, so why am I sitting here all alone at the bottom of this stupid hill. Not that he wished she was trapped here in this terrible situation alongside him, but at least if she was there it would make things (as selfish as it sounds) that much better. Sayuri was dead though... She had to be dead there was no other explanation. Orphans don't just disappear without anyone knowing, there was just is no ifs or buts about it Sayuri is dead and that will never change.' Maki grunted as he stood up. "I need to go home and find something to stop my mind from wandering to such useless places." He said as he took one last look back at the hill and walked into the distance.

Angela's luck was running low. Not only had she woken up late for school, her car refused to start. "Damn it all!" Angela shouted before smacking her steering wheel with all the strength she could muster. With that, she got out of the car slamming the door, and set out for the five mile walk to school. It was a sinister day outside with the weather, and it just added to the bad day it was for Angela. People around town would say all this bad luck would be attributed to her possibly being the next victim found on Lyle Hill. It was said the victims went through a lot of poor luck before being found, but Angela that wasn't going to be the case for her. Her whole life since the deaths of the ones she loved had been an every day of bad luck, yet she was still here, in one piece.

Angela grumbled as she walked keeping her eyes fixated on the ground as she did so. Had she been looking where she was going, she would have noticed the dark haired man walking before she bumped into him.

Rowan frowned slight, walking with Rina. She like many others in town were quiet always quiet," Do you fear death?" She asks, stating it like she was telling her it was raining. The question seemed to hang in the air, causing an awkward silence to fill the space between them." I respect it, but not fear it. I mean we are trapped in a town with an unknown killer that can take you out of thin air. Death doesn't scare, as much as the pain of it coming to me will." Stating the grim opinion to the quiet girl," The pain would be worst than the actual death. That is my thought."She whispers quietly. twiddling her thumbs then suddenly become perky.

"I hear we're having pizza for lunch today." She says in a chipper voice, smiling grandly after such a grim statement. It was as if she never said it at all, but you could still feel a cold air hovering around the brown haired teenager, one hand goes up and fiddles with the little jar that hung around her neck. The small jar seemed to be filled with crushed leaves or something it was hard to tell.

"Regardless of the pizza, life doesn't have much to offer someone anyway does it... Take this place as an example; life offered everyone death, in a way. So, therefore what is so great about living? Is it the love we feel for other humans? Is it the beautiful sunny days? Or is it just any emotion we feel, even if its sadness... I can say with confidence, that I don't fear death." Rina spoke in almost a monotone voice, keeping still a slightly blank expression. She had never felt strongly towards anything really, and putting in the energy to act tired her out more than she originally would be.

Rowan and Rina stepped into the history classroom, the teacher let them walk in even though they were late. No doubt he understood why anyone would be late after another death. Rina took her seat in the back of the classroom and took out her notebook and a pencil, gearing up for a long and boring history class.

Maki stumbled after being run over by the blue eyed teenage girl that was now standing before him. "I don't know what's up with all of the high school girls trying to run me down today but it can't be good for my health." He mumbled to himself. "Anyhow I hope you are alright little miss." He said to the girl who still seemed to be deep in thought. 'She would make a great addition to the football team.' He thought to himself with a smirk coming over his face. "Oh and by the way school started a while ago so you better get going, don't want to miss your glory days." He said sarcastically as he continued to walk down the street staring into the dismal sky.

Maki found himself laying down in the grass by an old park close to his apartment. With his arms folded behind his back. This was the most peace he had gotten since coming to this town. The wind blew over him as he drifted off.

Angela rolled her eyes at the guy she had run into. What an idiot. Glory days? Really? Sometimes the ignorance of some just completely blew her mind. She continued walking down the dreary street, not bothering to quicken her pace at all. She was already going to be late for school, she didn't see why she had to. She trudged on until she finally arrived, and groaned as she walked in and realized just how late she was. Angela hurried into her history class, praying that the teacher wouldn't notice her late arrival.

Rina watched the girl coming into the history class. The teacher seemed to not really care and continued on with the lesson. This class is so stupid... She thought to herself. She doodled on her paper a bit, feeling bored. Boredom is only the real thing she ever feels, perhaps it's because she simply feels nothing... I guess I'll always be stuck with an iron heart... Then again, why would I want to be normal like all of them... Afraid to even leave the house at night, it's really pathetic. This is exactly why I'm fine with not having emotion.

Angela sat in a seat in the back row, and slunk in her seat immediately. For a good five minutes, she kept her eyes on the floor beneath her until she was sure all the curious students had turned back to the history lesson before she raised her stare to look around the classroom. It seemed that everyone was in an especially depressive mood today and Angela couldn't place why. The history teacher stood in the front of the classroom, droning on, and Angela allowed herself to check out and drift her mind's thoughts elsewhere.

Rina sighed. She already knew the whole lesson, due to all of the old private tutors she had. She's sure nobody would question why the blank faced albino suddenly left the class. Rina was always known for leaving the classes or not showing up unexpectedly besides, she always got 100's on her tests. She didn't see it as a big deal.

She stood up with her things, scraping her chair across the floor. Keeping with her blank expression as the students looked at her, she walked out of the classroom without a word. The teacher sighed to himself and kept writing some things on the board. Rina walked out of the school and looked up at the still gloomy sky. She went over to a nearby bench and sat down. There is absolutely no point anymore to trivial things like this. Besides, this town wont mind a little girl like me cutting classes. It's like a graveyard even though everyone still has beating hearts... The girl stretched her arms out in front of her and leaned back some on the bench to look up at the sky. Same routine, day in, day out. I suppose it wouldn't even matter if I wound up on that hill...

Maki was now sitting in a cafe right next to the high school as he sipped his coffee. Well this certainly has been a long day. I was going to go home but there really is no point now. Maki let out a sigh and leaned back in his chair looking out the window staring at the school. I pity the people that still have to attend class. How would art class stop them from getting murdered. I thought high school was a giant waste of time, I couldn't possibly imagine how they feel. I guess I will just spend the rest of the day here then. Maki continued to sip his coffee gazing out the window.

Rina looked over at the coffee shop. The idea of something warm enticed her, it was better than sitting with nothing to do anyway. She stood from the bench and walked into the café, the bells on the door sounding off. She looked odd with her small height, pale skin, and white hair. Not to mention, you could tell she was in highschool. She walked to the counter and ordered a white chocolate mocha latte. The albino then stood to the side in a corner and waited, a blank look on her face as usual... Tch, will coffee entertain me, even for a bit? She thought to herself, still feeling bored.

Maki looked over at the pale skin girl standing not to far from his table then back over at the high school. "You know you really shouldn't ditch school. You will start to lose brain cells." He said still staring towards the school.

She looked over at the raven with a dull expression. "That doesn't concern me in the slightest" She said. Her coffee was finished brewing so she picked it up from the counter and took a sip. This is pretty nice coffee... I just hope it doesn't get ruined by some random guy.

Maki let out a laugh still staring out the window. This girl seems so dismal, not that I really blame her. I would have to say she is actually probably one of the more intelligent ones seeing how going to school really has no point. "No need to be so cold, I simply jest my dear." He said now turning to the girl giving her a small smile."High School is a waste of time and then you add in the way this town is. I say more power to you". Maki throws back his coffee and finishes the last drop.

"Indeed, there isn't much I can learn from that place." She drank more of her coffee. "However, Not only is High school a waste of time.." She paused and leaned down toward where you are sitting. "But people are as well. There's no changing the death in this town. Yet everyone fears it, even though they know its inevitable..." The idiots... She thought, thinking about the townsfolk.
