I have a couple questions:

And, what are the required properties for a monster? (Do they have to be monstrous in appearance, for example, or can they be very humanoid?)

Yes, we're still accepting.
Monsters can be humanoid or monstrous. However, the more monstrous they appear the more likely they're a hollow or a monster turning into a hollow. As for a very humanoid one goes, the closer they seem to be human related the more likely they're related to the original gods. This is really limited for either a high noble, priest, or ruler.
