Aaron didn't question or wait, but instead picked her up in his arms and ran to the nurse's office. His eyes overflowed with tears from the images that flashed in his sight. He barely noticed the light that had been dimly flickering from his pendant. All he could focus on was getting Nichole to the nurse.

 

[twilight sparkle]

Nichole thrashed and screamed. Her pendant glowed brightly surrounding her in a pink light. Then something broke through the window. "So the princess and prince are here?" The monster said standing and smirked. He held two swords and looked at the two blocking their path. "Time to end you."

 

[whateverwater]

Aaron shook his head and nervously laughed "Nope..." before intitiating a 'tactical retreat' from the monster. "I must be dreaming.... Yeah, that explains everything." He said glancing down at the unstable girl in his arms. Turning a corner, he jumped inside an open custodial closet. After locking the door, Aaron gently laid Nichole down on the cold cement.

Nichole lay limp on the floor and her pendant started glowing once more. The light shot up and then shot a light at Aaron's. Nichole opened her eyes weakly and started to panic. The monster looked for them and picked up their scents. "Heh." He said smirking then threw the door open. Nichole screamed seeing the monster. A ball of light surrounded the teens and got them out of harm. Nichole rubbed her head with a groan and looked at her necklace. And wings and a horn sprouted from her back and forehead.

Aaron was dumbfounded at the light that came from the pendants and even more so when he noticed a horn sprouted from his forehead. He looked behind himself to see why he felt a new weight on his back and found bright white wings attached. The monster that flung open the door seemed in a rage at seeing the teens transform. 'If this is a dream,...' Aaron thought looking at his hand, 'then this should work..' Pointing his right hand's palm at the monster and trying to bend the dream to his will, a lightning bolt shot at the monster making it fall to its knees.

Nichole stood her eyes narrowed and a huge sphere of water appeared over her. She then held it up in her hands and tossed it at the monster. "Aaron! Electrify the water!" Holding the monster in place with the water. She tightened it and the water pressure intensified.

 

[whateverwater]

"O-Okay!" He answered and forced a larger bolt of lightning at the water covered monster. The creature went limp from either being unconscious or dead. Aaron didnt want to find out, so he grasped Nichole's hand and ran up two flights of stairs to find the unlocked door to the roof. After closing the door, he let his body fall back on the wall. Noticing his hand still clasping Nichole's, he blushed and let his hand fall to his side.

Nichole sat on the roof and coughed trying to catch her breath. She blushed darkly and looked at aaron."w-what did he mean princess and prince? And what are we?" Nichole asked still confused by what just happened.

 

[whateverwater]

Aaron frowned at the question, he wasn't even sure this was reality. The monster, the horn and wings, the powers they used, it all seemed like fantasy. "It doesn't make sense.." he sighed staring at the light blue sky. Its small white clouds making there way southward. "I'm not sure what to think." Aaron confided in Nichole with a forced careless tone. "It might have something to do with our pendants." he hypothesized while thinking back to when light shot out of them.

Nichole blinked and bit her lip. She sighed and thought about her flashbacks. Then looked down at her pendant. it finally stopped glowing and her wings and horn disappeared. Nichole blinked and said"huh?" she looked up at aaron and blushed darkly.

"Do you think we should go back to class?" Aaron asked still in a daze by the events. The sun now being covered by a large cloud created a shadow that traveled on the roof. Staying on the roof seemed like a nice alternative to going to class.

Nichole said"after that. I really dont want to.." looking at her lap. She closed her eyes and relaxed. Her hand lightly touched his by accident. Nichole blushed crimson and scooted away some.

Aaron relaxed his mind a little more and smiled to the girl "We can watch the sky for a while... If you don't mind." Her hand touched his and Aaron blushed when he noticed she was touching him. Nichole quickly moved away when she noticed. Looking at her, he felt a slight connection. 'Is it an emotion or memory? no.. The connection feels even deeper than those. Deeper, yet so faint' he thought gazing at Nichole with curious eyes.

Nichole blinked and blushed darkly. for some reason she felt as if she met him before today. Nichole bit her lip and tapped her chin. "Um aaron? Do you have a feeling we met before too?" Looking up at him.

 

[whateverwater]

"I do... I guess you have that feeling too? He softly smiled while staring at the small pieces of light shining through the cloud that still covered the sun. He turned his eyes towards Nichole and voiced his thoughts "Its a strange thing isn't it? A familiar stranger."

 

[twilight sparkle]

Nichole nodded and said"y-yea. It's kinda weird." She rubbed her arm and then thought back to that monster and their transformation. Nichole held her pendant looking at it closely.

Aaron brought his index finger close to his mouth and slowly bit down on it. The sensation of pain was sharp, so he accepted the fact that the events were real. The indentation of his teeth on his finger were temporary unlike the seared image of the monster in Aaron's memory. "From what the monster said... It might have only been after us." He said while trying to understand his situation. "I don't understand our powers, but it might be linked to our pendants and how close we are to each other." Aaron continued in his speculations. "I believe it's highly possible for more monsters to come after us. It might be best for us to stay close to each other." He calmly suggested, looking to Nichole for her opinion.

 

[twilight sparkle]

Nichole blushed darkly and said"y-yea. We should." She thought back to the monster. They were royalty? But how? Nichole then remembered her flashbacks. "Aaron? Do you think we belong here like really belong-" her sentence was cut short as she saw a fireball going for them. "A-aaron!"She said clinging to him scared. Then let go and dove down to dodge it.

Aaron was planning on answering Nichole's question, but she clung to him and shouted his name before he could form a sentence. The girl let go and dove away from a fireball heading straight for Aaron. Following Nichole, he dove over to where she was. He caught a glimpse of a dragon the size of an average car. "A dragon? Who sends a dragon to kill someone?" He asked himself aloud with his body laying beside Nichole.

 

[twilight sparkle]

Nichole said"d-d-dragon?! DRAGON!!!!!" She ran for the stairs scared as hell. Then dodged another fire ball. Nichole was getting the heck out of this place! She ran back to grab aaron's hand then ran down the stairs. Nichole panted and got past some teachers running out the door still holding Aaron's hand. She hid in some bushes shaking. "I-i dont like this aaron." Nichole said her voice laced with tears. She was down right terrified.

"It'll be fine, Nichole, it all will be fine as long as we're together." He reasurred her while using both his hands to hold her's. "We just need to calm down and plan what to do..." Aaron said looking into her eyes. He began to blush from noticing his actions, but kept his hands on her's.

Nichole nodded and dried her tears. She slowly started to calm down then noticed their hands. She blushed crimson and looked away flustered. For some reason him holding her hands felt right.

"I suppose we could go to one of our houses and figure out things there. I'm not sure what else we could do... maybe a restraunt or store if you don't like the house idea." Aaron rambled on what they could do. 'The monsters will keep coming though. No matter where we hide, we will be found.' he thought, believing they had been cursed for something.

 

[twilight sparkle]

Nichole nodded and stood looking around. She grabbed her backpack and his hand blushing. Then started walking to her house lost to her thoughts once again. She hummed softly tying to keep calm.

Aaron kept his eyes scanning the surroundings incase a monster was following them. Out of nowhere, rain began to pour from the once white clouds. "There were no dark clouds in sight." He said while wondering why it began to rain so hard so suddenly. With a laugh, Aaron kept a happy outlook "We have seen stranger than appearing rain clouds though."
