Noel silently followed Ollie and Alex, and now he kind of felt like a third wheel. Not like he cared that much anyways. 'I swear to God if these two start making out...' he thought.

“So what should be our next course of action?” He also saw Noel giving him a weird look.

"I don't know, find shelter? That seems like the most immediate thing we should do right now."

“Alright lets start walking then.” They started walking in a random direction for 20 minutes until they found a cave. “I guess this will do.”

"Well it looks like it'll do." Noel said, taking a few steps inside and glancing around the somewhat spacious cavern.

Elia was unsure of what to do or say. These people seemed normal enough but how could she be sure? She stayed quiet and just listened to them for direction. 'Please don't let anything bad happen.' She looked around at their growing group and sighed. 'I should at least tell them my name.' She spoke quietly, "Uh m-my name is Elia."

He looked at the red haired girl which looked unsure. “Well hi Elia, my name is Alex.” He suddenly felt a huge urge to eat. “We cant stay here for long, we don’t have any water or food.”

Noel looked at Alex. "Well, what do you suppose we do? We're in the middle of nowhere, and I dont see anything we can eat around here."

Elia watched the other's talk and plan and decided to look around more in the cave. She grazed her hand along the wall as she walked to the back. 'I hope we get home soon or at least find a proper place to sleep.' She reached the back of the cave and sighed. It wasn't very big, but it was large enough for them to stay in for the time being. 'I'll probably sleep back here, I don't want to be in the way.'

"Hmm, I saw a river a little ways away from where I first woke up, we might be able to get some water and fish from there." Alex watched as Elia moved to the back of the cave. "Hey Elia, do you know how to start a fire?"

Elia was startled by the sudden call of her name. She turned around quickly and walked closer to them so they would be able to hear her. She responded quietly, "I might be able to depending on what we can find."

(Fun fact about me: I actually work at a summer camp for the Boy Scouts of America and know wilderness survival, you can absolutely make fun of me for it lol)

"Hmm well you can start working on the fire while I go get some water, wanna come Noel?"
(I quit Boy Scouts after the first two days lmao)

(I never did scouts I do after school sports) "Yeah sure. Can't really see anything better to do at the moment, since I dont know how to start fires without a lighter or something like that." He said.

(noice) "Alright then it's settled." They walked southbound to where they found a river about 3 feet deep. Alex took off his shoes and went into the water. The water came up to his upper thighs as he started to drink from the river. Just then he heard a rustling noise from some hedges about ten feet from where he was standing. Panic quickly ensued in his mind. "What the hell is that?"

Noel glanced over to the rustling bushes. "I bet it's nothing. Probably just a squirrel or something." He said. "I'm gonna gather some wood for the fire. I'd assume we need some." He said, beginning to pick up twigs and small logs he found on the ground.

"Ok, I'll check just in case." He walked over to the bushes and nothing was there except for some footprints. "Ready to head back?"

"Hm?" He looked up from what he was doing. "Oh yeah. Totally. These sticks are covered in ants, I'd prefer not to hold them for much longer." Noel said.

“That sucks, well then let’s head back.” They got back to the cave even though Alex got lost a couple of times.

She looked around for the things she would need to try and start a fire. She found a few dry sticks, rocks, and dry grass. She set her supplies inside and sat on the floor in front of it. 'I really hope this works.'

He looked at Elia setting her supplies on the floor. “Once u start the fire I can boil the water so we aren’t drinking fish piss.”

She looked up at Alex, startled by his sudden appearance. She hadn't noticed their return. She set up her supplies and began her attempts at making a fire. After a few attempts she got a spark to catch and the dry brush went up. She smiled at her triumph and set up a bigger barrier of rocks between them and the flames.

Noel dropped the pile of wood near to the fire, and as the fire got stronger, he gently threw a few sticks in to keep the fire going.

Alex put the water in a bowl-shaped rock and put it over the fire making it boil. After a couple of minutes he put it off of the fire and let it cool off. "Well at least we have fire and water."

"Yeah, but what are we going to do about food?" Noel asked.
