(Oh my, my bad. I could've sworn I replied here. My blunder.)
Ephraim marched into a nearby castle fort and slowly opened the wooden gate door. Inside were three men awaiting their arrival. One could seen holding onto a boy, one a sword and the other was on horse wield an axe. "Alright guys here's our spy. We'll be taking her with us to Matre, to propose peace. She says she knows the ins and outs of place." He finished and looked towards Akira. "Isn't that right Akira?" He asked.
Ephraim nodded and looked to his group. "Indeed. So without haste, we should leave this place now and make our way to Matre. Time is of the essence." He told his crew, who looked all ready.
"On your mark sir, earlier we go, the quicker I can take a nap." Hassar said, looking slightly drowzy, like usual. He was slouched on his horse and the axe he held in his hand appeared to be slipping slowly.
"Lets get going already then! Before Hassar sleeps on the job again. Hmf, how incompetent." Lucian exclaimed and made his way to the side of Ephraim and Akira. However the pink haired swordsman spoke nothing and just crept up upon the group.
"Yes M'lord." She nonchalantly said and looked up to Ephraim.
Hassar slowly made his way there and faintly could see some familiarity of the girl. After Ephraim and the other two marched off he got off the horse and got infront of her.
"Pleasure serving a princess... I presume Ephraim is on this too. Don't worry you are safe around me. I hold no prejudice against another nation." He whispered to her and began to gently lead his horse by the reign. "Lucian is the one you might have to be careful about though. He doesn't take foreigners to well, he's the archer. The swordsman, Lyn is no threat to you, but she too probably knows as well. Nothing gets passed her." He told her and began to move to catch up.
"Hey what are you doing Hassar? Come on, we are leaving." Ephraim called out to his knight.
Hassar looked back at Nanami and shrugged. "Ugh, I'm too tired to think of a plan right now. I'm sure Ephraim has one though, I'd go speak with him if you want more information." He said.
Nanami nodded, going over more towards the prince. She was not sure what to do now, or if she could get them in safely. She just wanted to help the prince. But she was worried. What would come of this journey? He sounded like he loved his fiancé, but who knows, maybe he doesn't love her as much as he thought and he would fall for her?
Lucian noticed Nanami go by, seeming like she wanted to speak with the prince. "Hey sweet heart! You know the prince is getting married right? What do you have to say? I'll go ask him for you. Stay back with Hassar or Lyn, my prince has little time for idio- woman like you." He called at her, but was quickly interrupted by Ephraim.
"Lucian, it is fine. She may speak to me, it is about the mission, you go back and make sure Hassar doesn't fall asleep. Lucian paused and began to sight at the job. "Very well my prince, anything for you." He replied.
Once Lucian left he focused his attention on Nanami. "He has a point Akira, I want to make sure that is clear. I do love someone. But anyway, what did you want to speak to me about?" He inquired.
Nanami shook her head. "Nothing. Just not sure I can get us in and out. The guards have become more frequent lately." She said. She glared at Lucian and turned her attention back forward.
Ephraim looked back to Lucian and then back to Nanami. "Don't Lucian bother you. He is an old friend of mine and will die for my causes and would if I did not let him do so." He said to her and continued to walk down a path until they were outside the city. "I see you have met Hassar, Lyn would be the only one you have yet to meet. She is a little off, so I'd stay away from her. She is the only sellsword here, but for good reason." He told her.
Nanami nodded. "Quite frankly, I don't enjoy the company of most women. But in my family, all the women stick up there noses at the sight of dirt." She said.
"Well she certainly is no stuck up noble. From what I have heard she is a wandering mercenary, her contract had started with us just last week when one of our senior members retired. Women here are raised to be fighters and tenders of the peace, as are the men." He said to her.
"Well that is a faulty way of bringing up a child. I was raised outside in the gardens and amongst my people. That is the only way to be a good leader. To know your people." He replied.
