Lost At Sea (pathfinder 2e; open)

Zuul swings with sun-enchanted greataxe at guard...and misses. Khione casts bless on Zuul. The guard moves to attack khione withn his longspear. He hits for 11. Shana casts electric arc on the guard and misses.
 
Zuul moves to guard and attaCKS with greataxe...and misses. Khione casts divine lance...and misses. The guard attacks Khione again; its a critikcal hit for 18. khione falls with -3 dying condition. Shana attempts to stabilize khione, but fails.

Daris corrects himself from his mess up and stabs the merfolk for 7. He takes his blade out and tries again but fails.
 
(nevermind) Zuul attempts to stabilize Khione. and fails (critical fail). As a result khione gains dying 4 and dies
. The guard attacks Zuul, hitting for 13. Shana casts Shield on Zuul.

Daris sees Khione die. In a blinde rage he thrusts his blade twice barley grazing the guard (3) than missing completely.
 
Zuul makes a cry of anger and strikes the guard with his greataxe...and misses. Shana casts sure strike then fires her crossbow and hits dealing 8 damage.
 
Daris tries to hit the overgrown sea food but misses both times. He raises his blade into a dueling parry. His eyes bear into the merefolk waiting for its move.
 
Zuul strikes with his greataxe...and misses. Shana casts electric arc. The jailer avoids it and swims up to shana and thrusts his spear at her twice in succession and hits once for 8 damage.
 
Daris tried to strike the jailer. It went wide. Cursing he swam near Shana flanking the jailer.
 
Zuul swims up to Shana and offers her his Chalice, which she happily drinks from granting her 3 temporary HP. He then attacks the guard with a warcry in orcish, dealing 5 damage. Shana casts electric arc, dealing 4 damage then attacks using her crossbow and deals 2 damage.

Daris breathed heavily as sweat dripped off his head. Atleast it would if he wasn't under water. The merefolk wasn't in any better position it's face was bruised a black left eye.

It tail looked like it was sprained. Daris launched himself the merfolk striking it three times in quick secession. Unfortunately he was too quick and missed twice still being able to hit it for 6
 
guard attacks jag and hits for 14. he attacks shana and misses. he attacks zuul for 13. zuul swings his greataxe 3 times. Shana casts electric arc and misses. she attacks with her crossbow..and deals a critical hit for 8 damage. The guard falls.
 
reminder that you see an ornate door and a unblocked path. to loot the corpse or to examine the door roll investigate...or perception if it's better.
 
Daris swam to the door and tilted his head. There was something there he knew it. Just didn't know what.
 
When Daris examines the door, he finds a riddle in fine print in common,

In twilight depths, where darkness reigns
A tiny king resides, with secrets and pains
His home is damp, his throne is cold
Yet amidst the gloom, his heart is gold

He dwells within a realm of darkest stone
Where only the bravest dare to roam
The echoes of the surface fade away
As he tends the flames that light his day

His people whisper secrets to the waves
And hidden treasures in the darkness crave
Their whispers echo through the caverns wide
As they weave a tapestry of ancient pride

What is this gnome's name, and where does he reside?
What treasure do his people seek, and what secrets do they hide?
 
He reads it again and again as he thinks it over. He swims back and forth as he ponders the riddle. He rereads the first part of it. "It's dark and gloomy yet the king has a heart of gold." He says aloud. "The king's name is Hope. For even in the worst of places it remains no matter how small.

"He resides in the heart. Even with how bad things get. There is always his flame to show light."

Be reads the last paragraph. He bites his lip as he thinks it over and coming up blank. "The greatest treasure are the friends you make, the secrets are the bitter truth you wish to hide" He said though he wasn't sure he was right.
 
There is a loud rumbling and the door rolls aside, revealing a series of cells. You will need too tget a closer look.
 
"Celistial Dung that actually worked." He said as he swam closer to the cells. "Shana, Zuul what do you guys make of this?" He asked entering the room.
 
Hearing the moving doors ray sticks his hand out and starts waving, as a small dog starts barking.

"Hay, please, at least let my dog have a bone if you not going to feed me." A young voice of a man calls out.
 
As you draw nearer you see 2 sets of 3 cells. The people in the cells have air bubbles around their heads. Shana: "so they are keeping the captives here too...wait, hey! There are people in 4 of these cells."
 
Daris looked at the man. Than the small dog. "Don't worry we're get you all out." He said as he looked at the cells before swimming back to the merefolk. He started to check the body for the keys
