The World of Parrune
Parrune is a rather large and extreme planet roughly twice the size of earth yet its internal structure is full of massive hollow pockets resulting in gravity being about the same. These internal chambers are largely unexplored and are beleived to be the birthplaces of monsters. The surface is home to every imaginable climate from desserts that rival any of earths both in heat and dangerb to mountains whose tips scrape the edge of the atmosphere. Seas that reach depths where the pressure can make diamonds and whose creatures can be as large as cities. Forests whose trees rival and structure built by man, and tundra's with ice so thick mount everest couldnt peek out.
Life on Parrune
Long ago the planet was dead. Then came the arrival of the primordial gods. Ancient deities without name who attatched themselves to an aspect of the planet and begining to proliferate the spread of their respective domains. They began creating flora, fauna, an atmosphere, the seven moons, and the three suns. For millions of years parrune developed and the life there grew hardy and powerful from the extreme environments they called home.
The arrival of Xemnu
when the cosmic dragon arrived roughly a hundred thousand years ago he found The planet of parrune to be wild and majestic and sought to harness that to create a perfect species. He began his first wave of creation spawning Merfolk, Reptilians, Giants, and Avians. While intelligent and powerful these species lacked much magical talent and as such Xemnu deemed them imperfect. Following this he created the second wave Forming Dwarves, Orcs, Elves, and Humans. While more magically talanted than their predecessors these lacked the physical power to be considered perfect. And by now the primordials and their creations had turned against his creations and a safe place was needed. Xemnu left parrune for nearly a thousand years.
Xorn
Upon his return the cosmic dragon brought the massive emerald city of Xorn in his palm. He took the 500 square mile city and embedded it in a fertile field near the sea. As he looked upon the world he saw his creations nearing extinction as the primordials and natural life preyed upom them. As such he teleported all the remainder of his created lifeforms into the newly founded city and chose from among them one to be his eternal representative. As such King Sol was born and from him came Xemnu's Perfected species, demigods. The perfect balance of magical and Physical might but more importantly able to bleed into the domains of the primordials and steal their power. Meaning Xemnu had just created the perfect beings to snatch control of the universe from these primordial after all Parrune is but one of many such planets.
The mortal race
as the emerald city grew more population and resources she began to send expeditions to found new cities. Most if which stayed allied but over time many relationships grew estranged, no city could match the safety of might of Xorn. As such many began to band togather forming kingdoms where numbers and cooperation made up for their lack of such cosmic defenses. Many children of Sol were sent out in such ways and they carved a path through the wilds of Parrune. The primordials themselves attempted to band together and fend off this incursion but Xemnu sealed all of them within the planets heart only to be awoken at his leisure. In less than 4000 years the creations of the great dragon have taken the entire planet for themselves.
The Awakening
Something wicked finds itself bleedong into existence here in Parrune. It's presence has disturbed many things causing entire populations of weak creatures to drop dead, whereas normally solitary predators have begun to gather in large hordes. However by far the most disturbing is that the seals of the primordials are popping one by one realeasing deity creatures so powerful they have haunted the nightmares of the mortals for millenia. For the first time in recorded history the armies of Xorn have begun to prepare for an offensive conflict rather their usual defensive one. Millions flee to the emerald city as their own homes fall to hordes of monsters, and precious few make it from cities where primordials made their appearance. It would seem Parrune has risen to take its revenge. However those who watch the dragon god in the sky see its teeth now bared for the first time, a great war seems to loom over the horizon greater than any before it and the right to call the world home hangs in the balance.
