Lioness and Maggie

(That doesn't sound much fun, maybe the teacher can assign them to work on the cafeteria? Is that allowed/okay?)

Tucker raised an eyebrow at Jake's suggestion of them hanging out together later. While he wanted nothing to do with Jake, he was really good at math and could definitely be a big help down the road. Probably not the best reason to be friends with someone, but Tucker had to admit that Jake was attractive as well as smart. Why did he have to be a delinquent as well?

Hearing the arrival of the teacher, Tucker looked up sharply at her, but remained silent as she made her announcement. Assignment? Did they always assign the students to do something like that during detention?

The teacher glanced between the two and then saw the math work being done. She then nodded at this and said, "I see you two are already working on some math." She thought for a moment and then said with a hint of a smile, "Sadly, I was told that the cafeteria needed a few extra hands in cleaning up for the day. That means you two are the newest kitchen hands for today."

Tucker groaned at this and then put away his math work, reaching across Jake to get to the equations he'd written out. Blushing at the contact with Jake's arm, Tucker moved faster to put away his school supplies before he stood up and then stammered, "W-Well, let's get started now then. Sooner we get this done, t-the sooner we get to leave." He hoped he wasn't sounding and looking as flustered as he felt towards Jake.

The teacher was oblivious to any reactions between the two as she sat down at her desk and began working on her laptop, satisfied that the two would be on their ways shortly.

Jake groaned. Reluctantly, he picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay. Nothing to get worried about," misunderstanding. He slung his arm over his shoulders. "Come on, let's do this and have fun after." Still with an arm on Tucker's shoulder, he lead him towards the door.

The woman who always served their lunch greeted them with a big smile.

"You're the new kids? Oh, I'm so glad. I thought I would do all the cleaning up. The guy that usually works her got sick. So I'm really grateful. So if you got start wiping the tables, you'll be free after."

Jake took the cloth and handed also one to Tucker.

Tucker's blush only worsened when Jake put his arm around his shoulder and led him towards the cafeteria. Wanting to hide his face behind his hands, Tucker was relieved when the lunch lady approached the pair before Jake noticed anything.

Nodding at what the lunch lady said, Tucker then took the cloth from Jake and made his way to the nearest table, intent on getting out of here as soon as possible.

Satisfied that the pair would get the job done, the lunch lady turned away and headed back into the kitchens behind a swinging metal door.

Jake started humming under his breath. Might as well make this as fun as possible. His foot tapped in tune with the rhythm of

.
Soon, he was head banging. He approached Tucker and tried to invite him in the song.

Hearing Jake's foot tapping, Tucker glanced up at him curiously. What was he doing? Not too long after he began tapping his foot though, Tucker recognized the tone and beat of Centuries.

Seeing Jake head banging made Tucker grin, but he instantly shied away when Jake tried to get him to join in. Amused, Tucker continued to grin and then rolled his eyes at Jake's actions. He then walked to another table and began wiping it down.

Jake continued moving about. Wiping a table as he does he's little sing and dance number. Next time, he'll make sure that Tucker would join him. After a few more songs, he finally finished wiping the tables. Washing the cloth and hanging it to dry, he tidied up his appearance. Stretching his arms, he could feel his bones popping back in place. He went back to check on Tucker.

"Hey, so about my invitation earlier. Maybe we could do it tomorrow? I'm beat. I just wanna close my eyes and sleep."

Tucker continued grinning to himself as Jake did his own thing, dancing and humming about to various songs. He was highly amusing, though Tucker was still wary of his delinquent manners.

Not much longer, and Tucker was finally done with cleaning the tables, with the aid of his theater partner. Standing up straight and stretching a bit, Tucker then turned around to find that Jake had already rejoined his side. Blushing slightly at the sudden appearance, Tucker listened to his suggestion and shrugged in response. He was really hoping to get out of it, but he did need a bit of help in math as it was. "Yeah, okay," he muttered as he adjusted the straps of his backpack absentmindedly.

He picked up his bag and placed it on his back. He got his phone from his back and handed it to Tucker. "Here. Type in your number." And he stared at him with expectation in his eyes, wanting to exchange numbers.

Tucker took Jake's phone with a slight frown, not really wanting to give away his phone number. Reminding himself about how much help Jake would be to him in math class, Tucker let out a small sigh before typing in his phone number and handing it back to Jake.

While Tucker was typing in his number, Jake took the chance to study the guy before him. He really had thick lashes. They were so thick it created shadows against his cheek. It would make any woman jealous of the guy. And Tucker's skin was flawless, smooth as porcelain and silky as a rose' petal. Jake was suddenly filled with the urge to stroke it. But he barely stopped himself. He doesn't want to creep out the other guy.

You see, Jake enjoys both sexes. If he finds himself attracted, he would pursue them regardless of gender. Which got him kicked out of his previous school in the first place. He never told his mom about it.

As Tucker handed him his phone back, he got it and teasingly placed a loud smack on the screen.

"Thanks, pretty!" And he ran out ahead of the other guy. He was going home, sleep and sleep some more.

(Next day setting?)

(Sure)

Tucker blanched at Jake when he kissed his phone after thanking him for his number. What in the world was he doing?

Hearing Jake call him pretty only made things worse as Tucker blushed and could only manage a feeble wave as Jake sprinted out the door.

Sighing to himself, Tucker also left the school, calling his mom to pick him up. Once at home, Tucker used Jake's math equations that he'd worked out to help him as he quickly finished his math homework.

Once done with his homework, Tucker headed to sleep for the night. His mind couldn't stop wandering back to Jake and Tucker let out a frustrated groan as he buried his face in his pillow.

Jake woke up just before his alarm clock sounded. His eyes flicked open, heavy-lidded with the remnants of sleep. The humming of the airconditioning unit sounded very loud in the stillness of early morning. The softness and warmth of his bed seemed very inviting. Inviting him back to sleep...

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Jake bolted up from bead, his heart racing and feeling like his blood just drained from his body. With a muffled curse, he tapped dismiss on his phone. Why did he set up his clock this early?

He went down and prepared pancakes and coffee. Taking bite of the heavenly, fluffy stuff, he groaned and closed his eyes in bliss. And then the coffee to properly wake him up. And then it was then he remembered that the teacher had given him an special assignment.

He loaded up the plate on the dishwasher and brought the coffee upstairs. He opened his laptop and did his usual thing regarding assignments like this. He copy pasted an article and printed it out. Feeling happy with himself, he whistled as he went to the bathroom.

After a few minutes, he went out to the bus stop to wait for his bus. Arriving at school, he went to his first class which was Math. He then remembered the guy yesterday. Didn't he say they shared the same class?

He took a seat and got his cellphone out. "Hey, Tucker! Jake here. Where r u?"

Groaning as he woke up to the yelling of his mother to get up, Tucker glanced at his alarm clock and blanched. He had ten minutes to get ready and to his first class!

Leaping out of bed, Tucker took a one minute shower and then quickly got dressed. Luckily, Tucker always had his backpack packed the night prior. Throwing his backpack on, Tucker sprinted downstairs to find his mom waiting on him.

Muttering an apology, Tucker ducked past his mom and then into the car.

Ten minutes later and Tucker was bursting into the school front entrance. Sprinting down the hallways, Tucker soon skidded to a halt as he felt his phone vibrate. Pulling it out and glancing at the notification, Tucker frowned when he saw the text from Jake.

Ignoring the text, Tucker put his phone away and sprinted to the classroom door. He walked to the other side of the hallway first, so he could catch his breath before entering the class late.

Once he'd caught his breath, Tucker entered the classroom, instantly feeling everyone's eyes on him. Suddenly feeling very self-conscious, Tucker avoided all eye contact and looked for the nearest open seat.

Seeing that the only open seat was by Jake, Tucker let out a small sigh and then made his way over to the open seat. Sitting down, Tucker immediately put his backpack beside his desk. He then pulled out his note-taking material, thankful that this teacher didn't really care if students showed up or not.

Jake was delighted that the guy was forced to sit beside him. He grinned at Tucker. Dragging his chair closer to the boy, it created a sound that instantly gathered the attention of the whole class. He answered it with an exaggerated shrug and widened eyes, trying to look innocent.

"Hello, Tucker. Looking good today, as usual." he whispered when everyone's attention was no longer on them.

The guy on the other side of him sent him a suspicious look, his brows knitting in confusion. With a wink, he signed them to look away and when he did't, he sent him the finger.

Tucker winced when Jake began moving his chair and making obnoxious sounds with it. Trying to hide his face in his notes, Tucker forced himself to ignore Jake. Though this proved to be difficult when he ended up right beside Tucker and whispered a compliment to him.

Blushing and shy because of the compliment, Tucker 's eyes widened for a moment and then he just became all the more intent on taking notes. Without shifting his gaze to Jake, Tucker whispered back, "Bugger off, we're in the middle of class, Jake."

Jake chuckled and he almost ruffled the guy' hair. He stopped himself though. He didn't want bloodshed today. So he just shrugged and straightened on his chair.

He would sometimes sneak in little glances at Tucker. Not that the man noticed. In the corner of his eyes, he saw the girl yesterday. With nothing to do, he sent her a wink making her turn beet red.

Fidgeting on his desk, he tried to listen to the teacher. But his attention kept on slipping. With a sigh, he told the guy in front of him not to move and to keep his body infront of him. He rested his head on his head and closed his eyes. Might as well take this chance to rest.

Tucker continued to take his notes, content when Jake finally stopped pestering him. He leaned in close to the paper, his head tilted as he wrote the notes with his vision slanted.

With his vision turned to the side while he took notes, Tucker caught Jake's wink at a girl nearby and instantly felt his heart drop. Great, of course he would fall for the guy who's not interested in other guys. This happened all the time, too. Biting his lip in frustration and a mix of other emotions, Tucker focused on taking his notes and did his best to not think too much about Jake.

While continuing to take his notes, Tucker then noticed that Jake had fallen asleep. Rolling his eyes at this, Tucker resolved to say nothing to him since he was frustrated enough as it was.

Jake was woken up by the sound of the bell. He yawned and sat back as if nothing happened. The students had started filing out of the class for the next class.

Looking down his watch, he saw that he had a few minutes before the start of the new class. He stood up.

"See ya later, Tucker."

With a lazy movement, he sauntered towards the door. The girl earlier immediately attached herself to him. He could not care too much to pry her hold on his arm so he let it stay.

They arrived at the next class. Taking his customary seat at the back of the classroom, he rested his head on his hand and observed his classmates

(Are they classmates all the way? Or in just a few classes?)

(Do you want to make them that way, or have them separate for a few classes?)

(Maybe everyday, they'll have 4 classes and 2 out 4 they'll be classmates? Like in the morning and after lunch? or do you want the other option? And maybe we cans witch the classes, like 8 am M-W-F Math, T-Th a different one?)

(Nah, that sounds all right. Most TV shows with high schoolers won't typically show all of their classes anyhow)

Hearing the bell ring and the teacher finishing up with the lecture, Tucker put away his notebook and pen before standing up from his desk and stretching a bit. Putting his backpack on, Tucker then glanced up at Jake's comment to see the girl that Jake had winked at now attached to him. Frowning at this, Tucker solemnly left the classroom before heading to his next class.

Thankful that this class didn't have Jake in it, Tucker sat down and again took his notebook and pen out again as he began taking notes again. Thankfully, this was English class and he was given an in-class assignment to write freely about a given subject. He found this kind of writing to be easy and felt himself relax as he focused on the writing.

Sometimes Jake would wonder why he even goes to school. Lessons do not interest him. His classmates annoy him, most of the time. Just like today, as he was sitting on the farthest seat, the teacher usually ignores him as the guy went on and on about the diversity of the Plant Kingdom. He was totally bored that he wanted to drill a nail into his head. Or play games. Definitely better to just play games.

So he looked at his seatmates and pointed at their phones. The guy looked at him questioningly. He set his volume to mute and opened an application. He motioned to the guy to do the same. Soon, the two of them were engrossed in the game. The other dedicated to having the higher score.

And that was how Jake survives his classes. In a blink of an eye, the bell rang signalling that it was time for lunch. With a satisfied smile as he just won the latest round, he stood up and approached the guy.

"Hey, I'm Jake and you are?"

"Kyle, your new nemesis in Clash of Clans!" the guy declared.

Jake laughed out loud. He picked up his bag and slung it over his shoulder. "I welcome you into my life, Kyle. Let's have lunch. Come on."

(Please feel free to create time skips! :) Describing every class is going to be a bit dragging. ^^ ;)

Finally, it was time for his lunch break. Tucker gathered his school supplies and put on his backpack before exiting the classroom in silence.

Heading straight to the lunchroom, Tucker instantly thought back to yesterday and how Jake had been dancing about while they'd been busy cleaning. He subtly grinned at the thoughts and how amusing Jake had been at the time. Then his thoughts strayed to the girl with Jake and he frowned, his good mood dissipating already.

Letting out a small sigh, Tucker got in line to get his food and really hoped that Jake would forget about their little get-together after school. Tucker had mistakenly fallen for someone who was straight and was slowly realizing just how bad his luck was in these kinds of situations.

Jake went to the cafeteria, all the while chatting with Kyle. They were walking side by side when he saw Tucker lining up. He motioned to Kyke to move faster and sidled up to the guy.

He crept silently beside him. "Booo!" he whispered, grinning all the while.

"Hey, Tucker! We see each other again, I see. By the way, my new buddy, Kyle. Kyle, meet Tucker, my other buddy from detention."

Kyle offered his hand. "Nice to meet you, Tucker. You sure don't look like the detention kind of guy. But what do I know?" he said with a smile.

Somehow, that smile irritated Jake. Okay, he was becoming childish. He got a tray and placed the offered plate on it.

"By the way, don't ditch me later after detention. We are going somewhere." he said, rememebering his promise yesterday.

(Maybe after your post we can timeskip to either detention or after? That is if you don't have anything planned in between. If there is, then I'm delighted to read it.)
