Okay, so I know you like to play really shy characters and stuff, but I feel like you should try to initiate conversation/actions sometimes. Like yes, maybe he doesn't like to meet new people. But with the response you gave, there isn't much to go on with regards to a response. Responses are supposed to add to what's going on and give the other person/people something to go off of, like this:

Lawrence sighed. "Yeah....that headmaster is kinda shifty, though.....'creator of the Lifeweb'.......kinda crazy, huh. D'you think that he might use us for something?" He was silent for a moment, then he extended his hand for Quinn to shake. "Lawrence Blackwood. I'm a fairy." And, for emphasis, he let himself float six feet in the air.

Like you could respond to the former question, you could ask him about being a fairy, you could talk about something you want to do, and all sorts of stuff. Personally, I don't see much room for response considering that one person is carrying the conversation by themselves. It's just not feasible for one person to progress the scene by themselves, which is why one liners are an issue. In real life, the other participant would notice the closedness that your character portrays, and either leave them alone either out of respect for their need to keep to themselves or because it's awkward for them. So like, if you want to continue the scene, you really should put more out there.


TLR: This is a casual rp, which dictates a one solid paragraph minimum as per RpN rules. One liners are not fun because they don't progress anything. Make it fun and interesting for other people to participate in this rp like they have for you.

I'm also chock full of other roleplays, and in case you haven't already noticed, it's a little hard for me to crank out quality posts when there's so much to do... so... Sorry. D:
