Lies of the Beautiful People

Emory let go of his shoulder as he walked ahead of them. She was a bit shooken up and shocked at the event that had just happened. Emory disited to give Brian some space and stay behind him, she couldn't help but think it had something to do with her. She sighed and continued to walk forward, following Alex and Brian.

"It's cool. I'm fine," Brian waved his hand in the air, trying to look nonchalant and slow his breathing down. He wasn't sure if he came out suspicious, but it would probably be best to just ignore it. "We can go to the pool after, you know," he attempted a conversation, thinking that it would lighten the atmosphere and keep his mind off things. "We can go swim and such. It's really fun." Dad loves swimming, too, he thought and felt like he was going to be sick. Of all the time. It was getting harder to distract himself. This kind of thing only happened twice since he came here, and he usually stayed in his room until he fell asleep and it's gone. This time was worse, though, and he was seriously going to be sick. "Ugh, I..." His head was spinning and his voice sounded bitter; he didn't know why. "I gotta leave." The words carelessly left Brian's mouth, and he ran for the bathroom.

Once there, he threw up. His head throbbed and tears prickled his eyes, but he fought them back and began running his hand through his hair. He really needed to get back to his dorm and sleep.

Emory was suprised as Brian ran to the bathroom, she could hear him vomiting and she fel really bad for him. She waited at the door for him to come out. She was not hoping he would suck it up and continue with the tour she wanted him to go and rest, sure she was a little diapointed, but she knew there was something wrong and he needed to rest.

Alex blinked again, folding his arms as Brian scurried off. "I hate to say I told you so, but..." he said, to no one in particular. "Om, Emory, I'm gonna go check on him. I'll get you in a second," he told her, and hurried in the other direction. He bought a bottle of water from the vending machine and then walked to the bathroom. "You okay?" he asked as he walked in slowly. Brian looked a bit pale. He sighed and handed him the water bottle. "You look awful."

"Must be something I ate," Brian said, nodding as he took the bottle from Alex. He downed it in two gulps. "Sorry, man, I don't think I can go on." He said, his eyes downcast and his lips set in a disappointed frown. "I really wanna, but I'm not feeling so well. I'll just... go back to the dorm and get some rest." He sighed, shaking his head and walking out of the bathroom. Emory was waiting at the door and he felt guilt and disappointment pricking the back of his mind. "I'm kind of sick, and I gotta go sleep." He said guiltily. "Just, sorry. Really."

"It's fine, really," Emory said with a little smile "Go rest, if you are feeling better tomarrow maybe we can do it then." she said a smile, patting him on the back lightly. She sighed and leaned aginst the wall. She took her hair and put it in a loose ponytail, since she had been sweating, since she was so worried.

Alex walked out after him and let the door close. He released a breath and looked at Brian, deciding that if he needed something, he now knew to tell Alex. He almost offered something, like waking him up the next period, or a drug to settle his stomach. Drugs...Then, he decided he was being too nice, and that he may not like Alex taking over like that. Some people....

Brian pulled Emory into a quick hug before thanking her. "Thank you too, man," he said to Alex, nodding. "Sorry for worrying you guys. I'm gonna leave now." With that said, he began stumbling his way back to his dorm. He almost fell a few times along the way, but eventually he made it and collapsed onto his bed. Mom. Dad. Matt. They were everywhere. At home. At the pool. At the amusement park. At that cliff. He let out a groan that was muffled by his pillow and closed his eyes, willing sleep to take over him.

"No problem," Alex said, shoving his thumbs into his pockets and leaning against a wall. He looked at Emory, and decided to do Brian one more favor. "Okay, well, if you want, I'll show you around some more, but you may want to wait for Brian. Whatever you want to do," he told her, but whatever she said he would somehow weasle his way back to his dorm. What he needed was a quick smoke - maybe that would kick the song off a bit, the sheer reality of those actions. It was a reckless way to write a song, but it usually worked for him.

Rose walked into the kitchen ahead of Connor pulling her brunette braid across her shoulder again. She entangled the braid in her fingers absentmindedly her eyes drinking in the huge cafeteria.

Emory sighed and looked at Alex, forcing a smile "Sure, that would be great, if you don't have anything better to do." she said, tightening her pony tail. She looked around the hall, it was emty. Emory wondered why than remembered that everyone was most likley at lunch.

Connor ran in front of her so he could pull out the chair for her. Once he was in front of her the started to walk to his favorite table in the corner of the big room. Her pulled out a chair for her and gestured for her to sit, smiling sweetly.

Rose smiled, "Thanks," she said sitting down. She rested her hands on the table in front of her stretching them out and then curling them back again on the smooth white surface. She watched Connor walk to his seat and sit down.

Alex sighed. He thought Emory didn't like him, and that she would find some sort of excuse to ditch him. Okay, maybe not, he was just so used to people taking one look at his clothes, listening to one song, and then deciding he's some sort of creep. "Okay, I guess Brian might be fine with that. Maybe. Okay, this way, then," he said and started walking, his passive-aggressive side kicking in.

(Sorry I have not been online and haven't been posting. My mom won't let me on on week days anymore, so I am really sorry! Also, sorry for hort post!)

Emory nodded and fllowed Chris. She looked at each door carfully as they pasted, so she would not forget a thing. She noticed she was dragging behind a bit, so he jogged up a bit to keep up with Alex.
