"Damn. I'm out of paper again."

Laciel put his drawing folder into his leather backpack, taking another look at the strange dragon-man speaking to the red haired woman. He would have loved to get a sketch of such an amazing race. Amelia would have loved to see it.

With a heave, he threw on his backpack and began wandering through town, asking where he could acquire some paper. An advantage he never noticed or ever would notice. Acceptance. With friendly smiles, the humans gladly helped out their fellow man, and steered him to the Market.

Passing through the stalls, he saw many fish for sale, and if it weren't for the spices in the market, it would smell horrible. In fact it still smells fishy in certain places. Laciel had seen huge markets before, but he could never keep down the wonder that danced across his face when he was in a place like this. he stopped at many stalls selling random nick knacks and dug through them, searching for hidden treasures, almost forgetting what he was there for.

As he walked he saw a stall with a stack of paper. Laciel turned suddenly towards it and accidentally bumped into a red haired woman.

"So sorry." He quickly said

Olivia had sort of spaced out for a moment. She had a few things on her mind, like where Miyarkus was going, and how her family was doing back home. She still had a general awareness of the people around her, which was how she made it through the crowd so far. But when one person suddenly changed direction, she was caught off guard, and they bumped into each other "Ah... Sorry." She said, as he apologized at the same time "No, that was me, I'm sorry... I should pay more attention to where I'm going." She said, with an apologetic bow.

"No, no. I shouldn't have turned like that. It's my fault."

He looked her up and down, noticing her gear. 'Is she an adventurer like me? I wonder if she knows this place better than me? Oh crap I'm just standing here. Say something!' He argued with himself in his head.

After a few seconds he shoots out a hand in an offer of a handshake.

"My names Laciel. Are you an adventurer?" He asked very bluntly.

'Now I look like an absolute dolt.' turning red at the realization of how blunt he was.

Olivia smiled and shook her head as she accepted his handshake "Olivia. And not exactly, I'm more of a mage than anything else." She said, pausing for a moment "...Okay, mages can be adventurers too, but... Let's just say I'm a magic researcher. I like to study magic, which is why I came here." She said, giggling a bit "What about you? You certainly look the adventurer part yourself."

Laciel puffed his chest and proudly replied

"I'm most certainly an adventurer! Iv been traveling for about 4 years now. Iv seen my fair share. As for magics, I don't know a lot about them. But I love watching it. It is most wonderous."

Laciel looked over his new friends shoulder to make sure the paper was still there. And then took a few steps towards the stall while still talking. He took out his coin purse.

"I'm planning on leaving town soon. I'm headed north along the coast. I hear tales of an abandoned tower in that direction that's apparently haunted. But I also heard from a few that a strange old man lives there with some monstrosities. I believe the latter and plan to investigate. If you are headed in the same direction, we could travel together."

Laciel spoke as if it was nothing to travel with someone you don't know very well. His trusting nature getting the better of him alongside his years of working with random adventurers made it easy for him to accept other people as company. It has cost him on occasion

"Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have some magical backup behind you, huh?" Olivia asked, smiling at him "I didn't have anywhere specific I wanted to go, so sure, I may as well. When do we leave?" She asked. She'd finished her shopping a few minutes ago, so she was all set, herself. She did notice that Laciel grabbed some papers, but elected not to ask about it. She figured he just used them to take notes and such while he was out.

"In just a little bit. Its not to far north of here and I plan on beating anyone else there. When your done here, Ill meet you at the stables on the north end of town, the ones by the gate."

He gave her a big smile and payed for the papers. After stashing them in his bag, he gave her a wave as he left for the stable. Just as quickly as he had appeared, he was gone in the crowd. 'I wonder if that Half-Dragon is still there.' he thought to himself.

After arriving at the stables, he saw the Half-Dragon and the girl still there. He sat himself across from him and pulled out his sketch folder and charcoal pencil. He began drawing the Dragon-man's likeness as he spoke to the girl. After a few moments he decided to include the strange girl in the sketch as well.

"...Hm," Lilit muttered to herself, placing a hand on her chin in thought. It was true that she had given him a number of questions, but rather than answering all of the last three in a row, most people would have simply stated their origin instead to make it easier on themselves. Besides, he came from a human village? With his appearance? She had a feeling he was, perhaps, uncomfortable with the common language. Or at the very least, not used to the usual way of speaking.

"Sure," she agreed to speak a little slower for the dragonkind, placing a hand on her hip. "Guess I should've started with introductions anyway. I'm Lilit. Lilit Manafu. And you?" She decided to stick to a single question at a time for now, for his sake. It wasn't her intention to overwhelm him or confuse him after all. Taking it slowly as requested might have been the best way to talk with him.

She noticed some man seemed to be staring at the two of them, but didn't care enough to say anything yet.

Her dress, her behavior, and also simply her hair, they all look so different than the citizens of Vegera, somehow saying this lady seems to be of a different place entirely, but Miyarkus was never too sure of the culture yet to judge her. She wasn't quite particularly mean, he just finds her more blunt and straight to the point compared to the very few he met. She sure likes asking questions, too.

"This is where I believe I introduce myself then, correct? Then greetings Miss Lilit, Lilit Manafu. I'm Miyarkus Mason. I'm a mage who wants to travel the world, a pleasure to meet you." Miyarkus said, realizing he's been able to perform his rehearsed greetings ever since he left, for the first person he'd formally meet. He never was able to say this to the other red-haired woman from earlier due to the abruptness, and quite simply just forgetting because he had better things to think about in mind, such as the use of horses and the system of Alignment. Speaking of...

A young boy arrived, carrying a staggering amount of bright, clean parchment with him. The boy sits near, and began writing something large on his papers. Miyarkus did not attempt to catch this fellow carriage-awaiting passenger's attention since they seem to be intent on writing with their pen about something.

"Alright. I'll see you there." Olivia replied, waving as Laciel disappeared into the crowd. She took her time heading for the stables, as she wanted to take in the rest of the town's sights first before leaving - Since Laciel had given her the chance to.

Catherine was blending in with the crowd near the stables. She would've been in her room right now, but she'd spotted a woman in the Scarfala Mage Guild's uniform, talking to some man. She was curious, and eavesdropped on their conversation from inside the crowd. Hearing where they were planning to go, she elected to follow the man, making sure to stay out of his sight as she tried to glean more information as to exactly where this tower was.

Not that she could deal with the monsters there by herself. Maybe she should let them clear the place out before snagging whatever treasure might be contained in such a tower. Regardless, she simply kept her eyes on the man, slipping into a dark alleyway nearby so she could watch him... Draw, was it? He seemed to be an artist of some kind. Either way, she made sure he didn't spot her as she watched and listened, waiting for the mage to arrive.

Lilit rubbed the back of her neck a little as Miyarkus repeated her first name one too many times. That might have been the first time she'd seen such a mistake been made. Her guess must have been correct; he really didn't understand the usual flow of conversation. Even though he came from a village, people still had to speak with each other in the village, so this was a little unexpected. She didn't hold it against him or anything, but it had been a while since she'd met someone who seemed so new to the outside world. It reminded her a little of when she first left her own village to see the world, though she wasn't quite so awkward. At least, not in terms of speaking. In any case, this would explain why he was traveling the world, but that was nothing more than her assumption.

Her red eyes switched their attention to scan where Miyarkus suddenly looked, though didn't notice much of note. At least, other than once again noticing the strange man just staring at them with paper in hand. Deciding it didn't matter, she continued talking. "Yeah that's right, though I made a mistake introducing myself. It's just Lilit Manafu," she commented plainly, taking the mistake upon herself. "Anyway, Miyarkus right? What do you want to travel the world for? Seeking others of your kind, or...something?"

The white haired woman ended up cutting what was about to be another string of questions short, remembering that would probably do nothing more than confuse him.

Hunslaus Heinrich Visscher
The appearance of a witch doctor in the small village was, likewise, somewhat of a surprise. Usually, in Hunslaus' experience, they kept to themselves or the older cities which retained a large following of the old gods. Their gazes clashed, gold hitting amber whilst the stranger crossed the threshold of the inn. That should've been the end of it, yet Hunslaus found himself in thought. Personally, the Paladin found nothing wrong with the followers of alternate religious paths; there would always be the difference, people fought over specifics even at the core of the same -- he found it tiring. Individually, Hun did as best he could to keep to the scriptures, which said nothing about using force except against those who would speak heresy about those who practised for Bellum, or any God from the pantheon of Roheus.

Visscher rose from his feet after pensively staring into the clay teacup, a slice of lemon floating haphazardly like a boat on stormy seas, catching the vessel in his hand and bringing it to the witch doctors side at the bar counter. Gently, for a big man, he put it down with a light thud and chose to sit on a stool, armour plates clanking as chainmail brushed against them in a symphony of steel. He cleared his throat, bowing his head in some respect before speaking. "Excuse me, apologies for disturbing your meal -- before you ask, I'm not under any missionary orders." Hunslaus smiled, causing the corners of his eyes to crease slightly. "I couldn't help but wonder if you know the herb trade well?" His brow arched, watching the horned male sincerely in question. "I understand you're a witch doctor; correct me if I'm wrong, but I've met a few of you fellows on the road, occasionally in the cities up North." The wood of his seat creaked as he altered his posture to take a short, refreshing sip of water. "Is there any way you could give me an idea of what business is like down here? You see, my local temple has been having trouble finding more reliable income of healing herbs, for salves and the like -- if it'd be no trouble."

Hunslaus inhaled and let his head nod to one side, "It's much to ask of a stranger, but feel no obligation to aid us. If anything the challenge is not quite as hard as some may suffer." The paladin made light of it, a small laugh escaping, keeping a breezy, friendly demeanour. He wasn't there to start a conflict, but it was the duty of a fighter in the name of Bellum to end them or die trying. Keeping the peace above all, save for those who'd been corrupted. Hunslaus wasn't blind to where power made men mad, or rather righteousness being a route to madness. The symptoms were those they were trained to spot, and knowingly on occasion, it would bleed into the council and holy order. Yet faith, faith is what kept them going until the plant had outgrown the disease and survived another century. For religion was built on the foundation of hope and the knowledge that evil men were met with equal retribution.

Lilit Manafu corrected herself, saying that her name is one Lilit less, so Miyarkus nodded to let her know he'll keep that in mind when he next addresses her. She's also a nice person, apparently. People out here in Vegera are so nice...

Anyway, Lilit Manafu asked him a simple question. Why was Miyarkus travelling? Before he could say something, she raised a point of searching for others like him.

It'd be a lie to say he never thought of a person that looked like him. He wondered about it day and night a lot of times at home, staring out the window on those far away mountains. It would have been a comfort to know, and he did ask his guardian at one point. All they ever said was in time, there will be. Too young to understand, Miyarkus interpreted this as him being completely unique. With all this thinking and remembrance, Miyarkus was actually staring off into space, looking blankly at the sky with his head rested by the wall behind him, as he thought about those of "his kind", hoping Lilit Manafu hasn't felt hurt for him not replying. He returns to his eye contact with her, saying he hasn't forgotten about her completely.

"Forgive me, Lilit Manafu. I was just thinking about your question." Miyarkus apologetically said, and slowly thought about something he would prefer to say to her instead of all the things that was in his mind.

"... I'm travelling to know more about the world. I never left the village, so I had agreed to learn of it myself. Books and stories were somewhat limited, you see, so I wanted to travel for the sake of learning. Never really about... "those of my kind", but I believe I can search for them too, if there was." Miyarkus hopefully said to Lilit Manafu, wondering also if his answer was satisfactory to her expectations.

It was an odd pair that sat at the edge of the dock, staring out at the sea. A small, faintly glowing figure stood on the shoulder of a woman who appeared to be half animal. The figure grabbed hold of the woman's antlers to keep from being dislodged as she shifted and sighed. They were silent, simply admiring the slow roll of the ways. Up until the small one seemed to get bored, yanking on the taller woman's antlers and making her wince. "Delia, aseta," she grumbled, wings fluttering impatiently behind her. Delia rolled her eyes, stretching her legs out over the water.

"Nena Pluma," she said, stretching her arms over her head and accidentally knocking the fairy off. "I am not done admiring the sea."

The fairy huffed, landing on her head instead this time. "We came to see the sea and now we have seen the sea. It is boring and I would like to leave today." She huffed and tugged roughly on Delia's antlers again, annoying the woman enough to swat her away. "Delia, there are many other things I would like to do. We have seen the sea and it is boring and I am now bored. Do not forget, we still need to locate the market to sell some herbs." Crossing her arms over her chest and hovering before her friend she grouched, "Though I do not see why it is necessary. We do not require any more money, and this town is filled to the brim with humans." She spit the word out with utter disgust.

Sighing, knowing the stubborn fairy would not leave this alone, Delia pushed herself up and headed back down the pier, hooves making a soft clapping noise on the worn wood. "It is not simply money I wish to trade for Pluma, as you well know. Or did you forget that I am collecting souvenirs as well? And I would like to try fish cooked the human way."

"Why? I am certain humans cannot cook it any better than we do. Or did they suddenly become less useless?" Pluma's dislike of humans was well known, and she didn't bother trying to hide it, glaring at each human they passed on their way to the market. She was soundly ignored, used to the fairy's complaining. "I thought I saw an inn on our way through," she finally said, deciding to be helpful finally. "That may be a good place to start." Delia nodded, turning in the direction Pluma pointed.

Laciel finished sketching and looked over his work. It was a almost perfect likeness of the two in conversation. He had taken the liberty to have drawn them in a functioning conversation as it didn't seem like theirs was going to smoothly. With a nod to himself, he stored the drawing in his folder with all the others. He stood up and stretched. With a glance around, he noticed his traveling partner had arrived.

He started toward Olivia with a wave and a smile.

"Hey. Did you get everything you needed?" He asked cheerfully.

The realization only just hit him. It had been some time since he had traveled with another person. He was kind of excited.

Olivia smiled and nodded to Laciel as she approached, a few little trinkets in a bag in her hand. She had decided to get a few things to bring home with her, after she was done here "Hello. Yeah, I did. Are you ready?" She asked. She also spotted Miyarkus nearby and gave him an acknowledging nod before turning back to Laciel.

And there she was. Catherine made sure to stay out of sight - If the man had seen her, he would've just been suspicious and investigate. But if the mage spotted her, no doubt things would be a lot worse, knowing how infamous the Blue Fox was back home. So she remained in the shadows of the alleyway, concealing her among the bright sunlight.

Olivia nodded in response "Yeah, I spoke to him earlier." She said. She would've told him what she thought of him, but really, it was kind of confused at the moment. He was a Dragon, but... Well, she wasn't sure.

She looked at the drawing Laciel made "Oh, wow... You drew this?" She asked, smiling "You're a good artist. It looks nice."

Veros Orellian
Vegera

Nothing beats the fresh smell of the ocean and the cool air on your face, it always reminded Veros of home. The half-Prince had traveled south on horseback for the past few days, staying along the coast. It has been a few years since he last visited Vegera and from the looks of it the old place hadn't changed. Sliding off of his saddle with a metallic clank from his armor, "by the gods does it feel good to be on my feet," he groaned, raising up his arms to stretch. His horse letting out a neigh catching the prince's attention, "ah, uh no offense Kraut," Veros chuckled before leading his horse towards the stables.

Walking out a few minutes later and a few coins lesser Veros couldn't help but to notice the unusual gathering at the carriage line, what an interesting bunch indeed. A humanoid dragon who, in all of the years Veros had spent traveling and adventuring he had never encountered one, a white haired woman who Veros nearly mistook as an Orellian for a second, a man in scale armor, and finally a woman who appeared to be a mage. They looked like a fine group of adventurers if Veros had ever seen one, at least the start of one. Though upon closer inspection he noticed that they were actually two separate groups so they were probably going different paths. Shame, Veros saw potential for a kick was band of adventurers in them, but fate chooses it's own path.

Turning towards town Veros felt a familiar feeling, a gut feeling that he usually experiences on the roads. After being ambushed by bandits countless times you become very perceptive of the area around you. Feeling like there was someone hiding Veros quickly scanned the surrounding until his eyes caught a faint blue in an alleyway. Taking a few steps towards the alley he decided to call out to the person, "People might get the wrong impression if you hide in the shadows like that."

Catherine looked over at the man that had approached her. She didn't much care for his words, or his perceptiveness in finding her here. Not wanting to be discovered by her targets, she whispered back to him "What I do and how I do it is my own business. It has nothing to do with you, so just keep moving." She told him, keeping him in her peripheral while she continued watching the two.

Arrogant Menace Arrogant Menace

A single, cloaked individual came from the wood, making his way into the town of Vegera, his foot steps...off, in contrast to the common ilk. He didnt have that...bounce, most had, a steady pace and little movement as his gait. His eyes, two teal orbs appearing from the shadows of his face, seemed to lock on the folk he passed. Humans, elves, a dragon even it seemed, the small tradeing town had much to it than its appearance let on. His presence seemed to unnerve those nearby, a chill in the air as his walked, the horses visibly disturbed as he passed.

It was hard to say if he was memorable, or forgetable. He was...blank. Just seeing the figure would instill a feeling of lose. The figure walked silently, eyeing the many stalls and people who inhabited Vegera from beneath his hood, features hidden from the world.

He stopped once or twice, examining the wares of the stall he stood at, and unnerving the merchant owners. He even purchased an apple, wordlessly taking out afew coins from a small pouch, to pay for the fruit.

He ended his walk at the pier, staring out over the docks and water silently, lifting the apple in a heavy gauntlet to his face, taking a bite of it with a satisfying crunch.

I never saw the ocean before... Its beautiful. Yet oddly...familiar. Bizarre, how such a simple thing can carry such weight on onces mind...
His mind seemed to strain through the thoughts. Memories missing, blank spaces, yet all the weight of a life lived...

His glowing orbs fell on a pair on the dock. A horned girl, and a pixie of sorts as her companion. So far the pair, and the dragon prior, seemed to stand out, but didnt seem to carry much trouble with the people of the village. It was...pleasing, these things he once thought of as fae, mere tales to mistify the young, passed through villages just as any other. It made him hopeful, for his own situation...

His gaze fell back to the ocean, and he grimaced, gauntlet coming to rest on his brow with a grumble. The pressure in his skull was growing painful...best let his mind rest...

With a shrug and a thin smile, Lilit responded to Miyarkus. "I'd rather you think and answer than just blabber mindlessly so don't mind that. And, well, that's a good answer if I've heard one," she said. The pause as he answered hadn't really bothered her and aside from that it was an answer she could understand. Wanting to explore and learn more about the rest of the world out there was the main reason she'd left her clan's village after all. Of course, she'd left her village with an additional, more aggressive goal in mind, but nobody had to know that.

While Miyarkus had paused to think however, Lilit had noticed a few things. The man who had been facing them said something about drawing them if she hadn't misheard, and a red-haired woman had nodded their way. She would have ignored the former, but if the second one was an acquaintance of some sort...

"Do you know her?" Lilit motioned her thumb towards Olivia. "She nodded over here, but she's no acquaintance of mine." Probably not, at least. Lilit had to admit that sometimes she forgot people she only met once given her lifespan, but the woman looked too young for it to have been that long ago.

Laciel nodded in response to Olivia's comment. And then he lit up with a smile.

"Since you know the half-dragon, perhaps you could introduce me to him! Then I could ask him about all the places he's been. And perhaps he may even join us for our grand adventure!" Laciel stops for a second and then makes a goofy grin. "Or maybe just ask him about where he's been. And its not really grand. Sorry. I just miss adventuring with others." He apologized and rubbed the back of his neck. He had let himself get carried away again. Laciel rested his left hand on the hilt of his sword.

(To all, a description of his sword is needed.)

Confortare, is a longsword made of steel. It is well worn, and seems to have hammer marks in the steel where a blacksmith made mistakes. The blade has "Confortare" inscribed along the flat of the blade. the handle would be straight metal if not for the leather straps wrapped around it. The pommel a simple sphere and the guard is just two straight pieces of metal with a sphere at each end. The edge had many nicks and looks to have been sharpened a great many times. The scabbard is a simple leather scabbard with steel edging to keep its shape. The blade looks subpar at best with the exception of having a name. Many would wonder why this blade deserves a name. In truth, the blade has proved to be a reliable weapon for 4 years of heavy use. Laciel would not give it up any time soon.

Olivia shook her head "Ah, I only just met him today. All I really know about him is his name is Miyarkus, and he's from a faraway village." She explained "And that's alright. If you'd like, we can still think of it as grand." She said, giggling "It feels pretty grand to me, anyway. I don't adventure much, I spend most of my time in the Mage Guilds."
