Legend of Se'phir [Inactive]

Fierra stiffened up as Saito grew more comfortable with this girl. Litina's story wasn't the best. Every time she saw a fairy she stalked them? At least she had apologized for her actions. She decided that she was going to keep on eye on her but let her hunt. Slowly, Fierra lowered the bow. She replied curtly,"Alright, you can hunt with us. I hope you have some experience with hunting, as I don't need you scaring away the animals. Hopefully you have brought your own bow because I don't have any extras, currently." Fierra looked at the sun again. "We also don't have much time left. So lets now dawdle shall we?" She observed the fox with interest. It was like nothing she had ever seen before, but she did recall reading about them in a few books. Earlier she had told to Minx to go home, she wasn't quite suited for hunting yet. Fierra was ready to get going as soon as she knew Litina was.

"I have some experience. I've been traveling around for the past few months and had to fend for myself." She paused for a moment and continued, "You know, you are the only people I've talked to in a long time. Or seen for that matter." And after that being said, she closed her mouth and stopped talking. Litina then carefully pulled out her dagger from her sheath and began to follow behind the fairy.

In the corner of her eye, she spotted a rabbit and threw the dagger at it. The knife whistled through the wind, and caught the rabbit in the side. "Got it." Litina smirked as she carefully stalked towards the rabbit.

Thank god she had her own weapon to use. Fierra wearily rubbed her eyes. So many things were happening today. First, she met a handsome guy that helped her out, then she met this girl that was pretty good looking, that may or may not be a creepy stalker. At least she had a couple people to talk to. It was odd how Litina hadn't talked to anybody for a few months. Is she a hermit or something? She narrowed her eyes; thinking about the possiblities. Maybe she is a criminal on the run. If anything happened Saito could always back her up.

She murmurred,"Nice shot," when the dark haired fairy struck a rabbit. Fierra was getting a litte tired of everybody showing of how good they were. It was time for her to shine. Running nimbly, she shot three birds, right in the middle of their flight. She was tempted to show them what she could really do, but she reminded herself not to be stupid. Who knows what they would think. Besides, she has to have complete trust in a person before they could know her biggest secret. Being a warrior of Shu was a big deal. Fierra ran over to collect the three sparrows that she shot down. She should calm down. Sparrows were pretty much worthless to sell and had little meat on them. Her stomach started to grumble.

She glanced over at Saito, and he seemed to be calm. We were probably going to wrap the hunting trip soon. Fierra sighed, a heavy sigh. She wandered away from the group a little bit, looking around the woods. Her fingers lightly touched the bark of the trees she passed, as she wandered around. Something then caught her attention. There was a boat nearby. Their tusks were valuable to sell and people love boar meat. She smiled, this was going to be the perfect kill. A flashback went into her head, the time she got attacked by one, when she was a newbie archer. The memories came flooding back to her. All the pain, blood, tears, and misery. This was the time to stay strong and take that boar down.

Silently, she approached the beast. It was a female, and they were the worst kind. They were always defensive over their mate or sometimes, if they had them; kids. Fierra wasn't in the mood to get mauled by a boar. Levitating behind a tree, she fired. The arrow hit the boar on its leg. Angrily, the boar reared up on its hind legs and snorted. The animal smelled her and she was angry. Fierra was furious at herself for making such a bad shot. She didn't have time to think, she just acted. As the black boar charged at her behind the tree, she flew into the sky. From there she shot down three arrows, all going into the boars skull. The boar made a hideous shriek that rang throughout the forest and, then he fell to he ground and died. Fierra felt ashamed at herself. This was supposed to be an easy kill. Sullenly, she dragged the boar and went back to Saito and Litina.

She struggled to hold up the boar. She then smiled,"Looks like I'm good to go. How are you guys doing?" Altogether, she decided this was a fairly good day. She might have made one or two new friends. That was always great news. The only thing that could make this day better would be a supper and a good night's rest.

The green light was quick and sudden, as hundreds of vines covered the cart and the bandits. Walking slowly over to the cart, Pierre sighed as he began to shove off each struggling bandit from his cart, until he tipped the fat elvish man off. "Honestly, elves like you give elves like me a bad name." Getting on the cart and riding towards the town, the fat man seemed to scream out, "Elf? Don't make me laugh! I can recognize your scent anywhere, traitor! You're no elf! Your kind is a bunch of monsters! Blood thirty monsters!" Snapping his fingers quickly, he muttered, "Figai." Instantly the bandit turned to flame as his screams of anguish filled the plains. As the cart began moving Pierre kept his gaze down low. "Who're you calling a monster..." The town soon came in to view, a bustling place.

Litina began to look for more small animals to use for food. Kitira had caught several squirrels: they were her favorite.

As she put her prey in the back of her sack, she noticed that the small fairy had wondered off on her own. She decided not to follow her. It was bad enough that she had followed her here. Litina continued to hunt and once the fairy came back, she had caught a few more small animals.

She looked over at the fairy and noticed that she was carrying a boar with her. "Wow. Nice one. I tend to stay away from boars, but I have caught one before." She then held up her knapsack to show the fairy. "I think I'm set for now."

Litina turned to walk back to the town when a question popped in her brain. "Do either of you have anywhere I could stay for the night? I would be happy to help you with cooking. I just don't want to sleep outside in the cold again." She pursued her lips as she thought about the chilly nights she endured with Kitira. It was definitely not ideal to sleep on the cold hard ground. "Say, do you need help with that boar?"

She noded to her and let her carry some weight of the boar. Fierra replied, "You can stay at my house, but before you do so, may I ask what village did you come from?" Fierra was curious about this girl. She prayed that she wouldn't need to stay for at her house for, months. If she was her friend she would understand, but they had just met today. If Saito wanted to stay at her house, that would be too much. Only one stranger at a time. The other thing that bothered her was that Litina could possibly look around her house, thus resulting in her finding out Fierra had blood of an ancient spirit. She would need to be especially careful. The sky darkened some more as they hiked in the woods. At least Litina was polite. Fierra reminded herself not to be too harsh. She was probably a great person.

"I lived in Yarrin," She replied. "I've been looking for someone." Litina continued as she walked. "I don't plan to be staying for too long. Maybe a night or two." She adjusted the bag on her shoulder as they got closer to the town.

Saito stood by and watched the girls show their skills. He then went off on his own. He had a special place he liked to hunt. within a couple of minutes he arrived at his location. It was a small spring that he knew dear liked to visit often. Being in the late evening there should be one or two around. He crouched into the bushes and waited patiently. Soon, two does walked to the spring and shortly behind them a buck. "That buck would be a good gift for the fairy. I wasted most of her day so hopefully this will make it for it." He then watched the buck carefully, drew his bow, and fired the arrow. It hit the buck right in the neck, a fairly quick death. He walked over to the buck, scaring the other two doe, and picked it up. Finding his way to the girls Saito thought to himself that he has yet to introduce himself, or learned the other fairy's name. He held his head in his hand. "Im such an idiot." He arrived at the spot where the girls were last and saw them already walking back to the town. "Hey ladies! Wait up for me." He jogged up tp them carrying the buck. "I got this for you. I hope it will be profitable. Its fairly large so there is plenty of meat." He looked over to Litina. "Will you be staying at the inn here? I want to check up on my home but I would like to come and spend some time with you ladies later."

"I'll be staying with uh... Sorry I don't know your name," she looked at the fairy and blinked. Kind of strange to be staying with someone if you don't even know their name. "Well, I'll be staying with her for a few nights."

She blushed and said,"Oops, sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Fierra." Fierra turned to Saito,"Nice job! I can see you're a pretty good hunter." The forest started to thin out into the streets of Elisedd. People were bustling about, babies were crying from houses, and meat was cooking. A couple people looked at her party curiously as they entered town. She heard whispers,"Look! It's not one, but two fairies!" Fierra also noticed a couple people looking weirdly at Saito. A couple stray animals were afraid of Litina's fox. The smell of smoke wafted through the air. She spoke,"Saito you can sell the dear if you want, and I'll go back home to cook dinner. I live a few blocks from the library, it's a huge house with an apple tree next to it. You're welcome to come to my house if you want, for supper. I'll sell this boar tomorrow." Fierra couldn't wait for dinner, she was starved.

Saito nodded. "Okay. I'll sell the buck and check on my home. I would say that I could treat you to dinner since we have inconvenienced you, but I'm not sure if my home is guest ready." Saito noticed the funny looks as well. It was odd to see fairies here. He couldnt remember a time when there was any race other than Elvin, so he could understand the uproar. "I will see you ladies in a little while." Saito waved to the girls and went towards the butcher.

"Bye!" Litina waved back to the elf as he took the deer away.

"We should probably hurry up and get to your house," She whispered to Fierra. The amazed glances from others were making her feel uncomfortable and she was worried what people would do if they were afraid of Kitira. "I feel so strange," She gasped and looked around at everyone sharing glimpses at them. Litina could feel herself walking faster away from the crowd. It felt constricting and she couldn't handle being around the people.

Her daily routine went on as it usually did; being awakened (gently, of course) at exactly 9:00 am before being served breakfast. It was after that that she would have her appearance prepared, the majority of her dresses being a lilac or emerald color. After all, shades of purple were reserved for royalty, or so her grandfather had told her, and the emerald gowns were her grandmothers, so they held sentimental value. This morning, her clothing was a dark violet. Cedric had counted on taking a little... Journey, and the color served as a warning to others. She had power and she wasn't afraid to use it. The fabric was cut short at the bottom, stopping just above her ankles - after all, she didn't want to get it too dirty - and a cream petticoat was beneath it, accenting the shade. Her signature necklace and circlet were removed and put away, replaced with a simple gold necklace.

"Nathaniel, would you fetch my cloak and shamshir?" Cedric asked, taking note of the trees swaying just outside of her window. "I don't want to catch something out there."

Her servant nodded his head and went off before returning quickly, assisting the spoiled girl with putting on the extra fabric. She secured her weapon on a belt around her waist before she lifted her hood up and headed downstairs. She was getting bored of the same old life and wanted something more. She wanted something exciting! She wanted trouble, and she sure as hell was going to find it, even if it was the death of her (which she certainly wouldn't let happen anyway).

"I'm off. Ana is in charge of the household until I return; if I do so." And with a slam of the door, she was gone.

(( I'm so sorry this took me so long to get up; I was at my mom's house for the past few days.))

Saito was such a gentleman. Too bad she couldn't stay at his house. Maybe later, when they get to know each other better. Fierra nodded,"Alright, follow me." She hurried along the stone roads, pausing every once and a while to make sure Litina wasn't lost. Fierra was used to the stares of the people. It happened less frequently for her, as she had lived in this town for a while. Now that there was another fairy here, people stared even more. Elves were so rude sometimes. At least, Saito wasn't like them.

A couple minutes later, they arrived at the house. Fierra's house was mostly made out of spruce wood, which was her favorite type of wood. As they approached the house, Fierra noticed Minx meowing at the doorstep. She murmured to her,"Somebody is hungry kitty, aren't they?" It was time for dinner for everybody. Fierra dug her key out of the tunic's pocket. She grabbed the golem key, then she twisted open the creaky door. She announced,"Well, here we are." The entry way smelled musty. She had forgetten to clen today. From the entry way there was a spiral staircase that lead to the second floor. The floors were all made of polished wood, and there was a rug in the reading area. By the door there were purple stained glass widows. She took off her leather shoes, sat down the boar, then entered the kitchen. She turned the wood stove on and started to rummage through her pack. She asked Litina,"Does a hare and a few sparrows sound good?"

Litina let out a sigh of relief once she reached Fierra's house. It had made her uncomfortable with all of the looks that they were both getting. Being in isolation was probably the main reason why she was so claustrophobic at the moment. Kitira looked shaken up as well, she was definitely not used to having so many people around her. Kitira had laid down in a corner and covered her face with her paws.

"Yeah, that sounds good." Litina replied and set her bag of game down. "I can help you cook. I would like to at least be able to do something for my stay here." She said and walked into the kitchen. "So Fierra. Tell me about yourself." Litina was curious about her and why she was living here in a town that obviously wasn't for fairies. "I mean, I wouldn't mind telling you about myself. I was just curious."

Fierra rumaged through the box where she kept her vegetables. Picking a few greens and carrots, she flopped them down on the counter. She waited for the oven to get warm. The oven was run on fire runes. Fierra was lucky, the ovens were expensive. She sighed,"Yeah, I grew up in the village named Pavv. I traveled for a while until I heard about a dragon attacking this town. I helped them rebuild and I would help them if there's ever a future attack. Ever since then I've been living here, for about a year." She tied her hair back, so it wouldn't get into the food. "How about you?"

Litina scratched the back of her head and sighed. "I lived in Yarrin with my father. Then one day he disappeared, so I set out to find him. So far no luck." She thought back to the day when she couldn't find her father. It was a day that she had spent bargaining and bartering for goods in the market. Litina had gotten a turkey for a very good deal and had decided to cook it that night. When she came back, he was gone. "I'm kind of afraid that he isn't... it's been so many months." She thought about the times when her father had trained her and told her things about the Warriors of Lir and how she could possibly be one. He was always so optimistic. If only he had passed on some of that optimism.

"First thing's first," Cedric mumbled to herself, her hand keeping close to a small pouch of currency that Nathaniel had insisted she take along. "I should get some food. That's what people normally get first, right? Something to keep them full on a journey?" She stopped, pressing a hand to her forehead. Sure, it was silly of her to go on this childish 'adventure,' but she couldn't help it. She was a girl of material items and lustful satisfaction, not one of battle and integrity.

She dismissed the thought quickly, letting out a gentle sigh as she began to walk once more, hoping to catch sight of something that would draw her in. The more she walked, the less populated the areas began to get. There were a few homes here or there, and finally, the girl picked up a captivating scent that made her mouth water. It was sweet and fresh, but had a baked smell. Following said scent, Cedric found herself in front of a stand selling bread and fruits. She fished a few coins from her coin pouch and slid them across the counter in exchange for the items before turning on her way.

-

To her surprise, she found herself in a new town much faster than she thought she would. Granted, a few hours had passed by, but still. Not quite knowing where to go next - or even where she was, for that matter - she made a sad attempt to scope out a trustworthy stranger in the various crowds. Spotting one, a soft smile pulled at the corners of her mouth.

"Excuse me?" Cedric asked, hoping to get the stranger's attention.

Ears perking up a bit at the sound of someone approaching, Yuuichi turns to look towards Cedric as she approaches. Sniffing the air a bit tentatively as she approaches he determines the stranger to be a human female. As Cedric speaks, she confirms Yuuichi's belief of her race and gender. "Yes?" he speaks softly as he nods his head to the girl, still unsure of her intent. He is also still wary of the person he was trying to help, knowing if she took off with his map he would be in dire circumstances, after all, how many shops sell or custom make maps that have the lettering raised a bit?

She nodded her head sympathetically when Litina told about her missing father. Fierra couldn't imagine having a missing parent. She said,"Sorry to hear that, I wonder what happened. Well, I wish you the best of luck in your quest." The oven was hot enough for the food. She put the sparrows and the rabbit inside. She dusted her hands,"When that's cooking, could you help my with cutting up the vegetables?" The sun started to set, splashing hues of pink and orange along the horizon. Fierra lit a few candles, then scattered them around the counters.

"Thank you for your good luck wishes," Litina nodded and began cutting the vegetables on a cutting board. She remained quiet for a little while she chopped the different array of fresh plants. The sun was sinking down into the ground as the wind blew slightly. A part of her wanted to sleep outside again, but a warm bed and meal was more likable at that moment. Litina finished cutting the vegetables and placed them in front of Fierra. "There you go," She said as she wiped her hands on her pants.

"I seem to be a little bit... Lost?" She says, light green irises darting around the area, taking in the various buildings and carts. "Would you mind telling me where I am? Or perhaps a place I could rest for the night?" She raises her eyebrows just a little bit as she speaks, a soft smile adorning her features.

He looked rather young, and she couldn't help but notice the difference in his eye colors. He surely did seem peculiar, but that was probably because she wasn't used to seeing anyone other than a human. In fact, many of the people she'd seen appeared to be a bit peculiar to her. Dismissing the thought, she averted her attention back to the male before her. It would just be rude to ignore his answer after she'd bothered him.

"You are in a city named Redhawk. As for places to stay, I'm not too terribly familiar with this area, so I do not know the names of places around here." The boy's tail lowers a bit in depression since he can not assist the girl more. He reaches over and grabs his map from the fairy he was initially helping and lays it out infront of Cedric. "Maybe this will help you find your way. The name is Yuuichi by the way, what is yours?" Tail wagging a little excitedly, he smiles at her, hoping to have made a friend that he can report back to his master about while on his travels, completely forgetting for a moment what his mission is. "By the way, is there something specific you are looking for? I can try to help if you would like, I'm typically pretty good at tracking."

Fierra said,"Thank you for helping. Now we'll just have to wait for the meat to cook. I'll check on it every once in a while." She went over to a cabinet and got out some wine. Grabbing a glass she poured herself a cup. Remembering to be polite she asked,"Do you want anything to drink? I got many different white and red wines." She took a sip of her drink. The sun had sunk below the horizon. Fierra hoped Saito would be back soon.

"Redhawk," she repeated, tasting the name on her tongue. It came out smooth and quiet, just above a mumble. It was familiar - she'd heard of it before, but never been. "Thank you. Any help is better than none." She follows his hands as he reaches for the map and feels her heart beat quicken just a little bit. It's a good thing she wouldn't have to spend the entire time asking strangers where she was and how to get to the next city. "Cedric. My name is Cedric. It's a pleasure, Yuuichi." She thought over his question for a moment, racking her mind for any place in particular that she wanted to visit. Her parents should have been somewhere in Jarek, so she surely wanted to avoid there. In fact, she felt herself begin to get angry at the very thought of them. "I seek Arys." Surely that would have caught him off guard, but she cared little about that. She hoped to get rid of her problems at the source - he was the reason her parents sent her away, right? So if she eliminated him... Unbeknownst to Cedric, she wasn't the only one searching for him, and he was the source of more than just her petty little issue. Who could expect her to know, though? She was sheltered, given luxuries and all the good things that life had to offer.
