I like the way you're foreshadowing the next chapter. It really increases the anticipation for it drastically.

Honestly, most likely. I could see Harly idolizing his legend or at least the Shifting Shepherds getting together at night with a campfire going to tell tales of Arthur kicking ass somewhere in the desert.

And of course, Mateo has no idea what's going on because he and Cora weren't there. He'd just once again be the innocent kid who's fascinated by the walking legend, since he would also hear about the legend. Though, he would pick up on the adults' negative emotions, plus he'd be mature enough at that point to not be so ignorant to something that unsettled everyone else.

Yup, hence why Mateo would be ecstatic to learn Arthur's real, because that's one of his favorite myths while growing up in the desert, back when things were at a simpler time for him. And as for Harly and his group, I don't think any one of them would really believe he's real so to speak, just that he's a cool piece of fiction to them. Something they can sit around a campfire to tell spooky and cool stories about.
