Realistic or Modern Last Summer

♡Annabelle Natalia Moreau♡
"Yes sir!" Natalie replied, grinning, saluting Gabe while rolling her eyes, "anything for you, your majesty." Natalie's voice was dripping with sarcasm, as she walked over to the side of the van. Looking around, there were two empty seats left, both right alongside Sebastian.

Thinking about it, it would mean having to sit next to Audrey. Almost smelling something foul, Natalie scrunched up her nose, not wanting to sit there. Shrugging, she quickly climbed in next to Sebastian, grinning wickedly. Even if it meant sitting next to Audrey, there was no way she was letting her sit next to Sebastian.

On her way into the van, Annabelle coughed into her elbow, casually slipping the word, "dweeb" into her cough as she walked by Gabe. Grinning, she quickly walked past, pretending to be innocent.

"Italian sounds wonderful," Natalie squealed, falling into one of her hopeless daydreams about pasta. It was one of her absolute favorite foods. Similar to pizza, except pizza was disgusting.

(I change the name a lot, since my character has a lot of nicknames.) ☻

Audrey quickly slides into seat next to Paeyton. "I'm riding shotgun, to make sure you stay focused on the road and don't almost crash into an 8 wheeler like last time." She says, bopping Peaytons nose as she laughs. In the rear view mirror she notices Annabelle slip into the seat next to Sebastian, and grins at her satisfaction. Annabitch would be confused why she would sit next to Paeyton instead of Sebastian. She sorts of kicks herself in the but for a missed opportunity to sit with Sebastian, but she'll get next to him at the restaurant.

Oliver got in the van, sitting as far away from everyone has is possibly could so he wouldn't have to talk to anyone because as of right now everyone was irritating the hell outta him, he taps his fingers on his leg impatiently as he is dying for a cigarette. He takes his phone out and puts a headphone in, hoping to drown out anyone and everyone, but keeping one out as to not be rude if someone were to talk to him.

(Audrey is next to Paeyton)

"That was not my fault, plus it was raining like crazy that day anyway" Once everyone was in the van, she started towards the exit "it takes like 20 minutes to get to the house from here" she said as she pulled out of the parking lot. She made sure to talk to both Annabelle and Audrey to see what the heck was going on between them, she had her own problems to deal with anyway so she really didn't know the details on everyone else. She grabbed her phone when they stopped at the stop light and put some music on

Sebastian looked at and smiled when Annabelle took the seat next to him, but frowned a bit when Audrey moved to sit in the front. He tried not to take it personally, instead just distracting himself with his best friend. "Wow, I'm so honored that you took the spot next to me, makes me feel like the queen." He joked, placing his hand to his chest in faux disbelief.

He leaned back in his seat and let out a little laugh before regaining himself again. "My dad just sold our old boat and bought a new one, you guys should come check it out when we get back, it's way bigger than the last." He didn't mean for it to happen, but it was part of his personality to show off. "It has a whole bunch of other cool stuff on it that the other didn't, I'm sure y'all would enjoy it." He finished, sitting up in his seat to see his friends better.

Everyone seemed together but also spread out at the same time, well, as spread out as it can get in a van.

"But... don't you think this is a bit too much?"

A shiny, silver Jaguar sat in front of Eve, gleaming brightly under the lights of her garage. She examined it nervously, not knowing what to think. It was certainly better than her old Corolla... but a Jaguar of all things?

"I-It's too luxurious for me, a-and besides, what if I got into a crash-" Eve began to stutter softly, shifting back and forth from foot to foot. A loud, obnoxious cackle sounded behind her, and Eve's mother appeared, showing off a set of brilliant, white teeth as she smiled. She was wearing her usual exotic lipstick of the day; a deep violet. Her hair was as white as Eve's was, falling down her back in waves and stopping just above her tailbone.

"Oh, stop worrying, dear. It's a gift from your father. He's a man of luxury himself. Everything he buys will always be too much. And if you crash it, hell, he'll probably buy you another one." Eve's mother rubbed her back soothingly, admiring the bright, and rather shiny car in front of them.

"Besides, you've got a four hour drive, ahead of ya, hun. Better start packing." With a quick peck on the cheek, her mother slipped back into the house, stretching slightly as she entered the white marble stone kitchen, not having a care in the world. Eve nodded slowly, glancing back one last time at the car, before returning back inside the house, and shutting the door behind her with a gentle
thud.

Hopefully Annie doesn't freak out TOO much over my new car.

Eve chuckled softly at the thought, her pale eyes never leaving the road in front of her as she steadily drove down a windy road. Ever since she departed from her Florida home towards Paeyton's beach house, she's felt nothing but excitement fluttering in her heart. It had been some time since she'd seen everyone, and she couldn't wait to catch back up and spend time with them. Eve had a bad feeling something would happen between Audrey and Annabelle. The two disliked each other very much so, and the thought of them fighting caused her to worry. But, she pushed the thought away for now.

Only a good two more hours to go...

She continued driving down the road, glancing every now and then towards the spectacular view of the ocean just to her right. The sun shone brightly, tinting the blue waves with a heavenly golden light. With a small smile, Eve focused back on the road, nearing her destination by the mile.

Oliver put his fist against his cheek and lean towards the window, looking out he carefully watched the surroundings quickly move past them. He hummed along quietly to the song that was playing into his ear.

♡Annabelle Natalia Moreau♡
Excuse you, we all know that I'm the queen, alright? Watch yourself," Annabelle joked, sitting upright. Crossing one leg over the other, she rested her hands on her knees, sticking her nose in the air in an attempt to imitate the aura of royalty. Within a few seconds, Annabelle's shoulders started shaking uncontrollably, her laughter escaping her lips.

Looking to the passenger seating next to the driver, she realized that Audrey's reflection was present in the window. Glancing to her right, Annabelle was sure that there was a free seat next to her, and ultimately in the same row as Seb. Was she not interested in him after all? God, why did that girl have to be so confusing.

As the car started toward the exit, Anna scooted to the other window seat, leaned against the door, and rested her legs across Sebastian's lap, staring dreamily out the window. All Anna could think about was the beach--she absolutely loved it. From the rough, crashing waves against jagged cliffs to the salty sea breeze--she loved everything about it. A small, childish smile slipped onto her lips as the car continued to move, a barrage of multicolored cars passing her window.

Snapping out of her little momentary lapse of happiness, they had already stopped, waiting patiently at a red light. I wonder how Bunny's (Evie's) doing, Annabelle though silently, a warm smile once more making an appearance. The little ball of shyness was so cute, and dearly missed.

Tom was wheezing loudly, the computer in his arms probably heavier than he was. He set it down just outside the car, leaning against the vehicle. "No one thinks four graphics cards are heavy until you actually get them in there." Tom pulled the passenger door open, putting his hands on his hips. "Now just how the hell am I going to get you in there Alice?" Yes. Tom named his computer. After trying to think of a solution for what seemed like ages, he bent over and picked up the computer once more, groaning at the weight. He eventually managed to put it in the passenger side seat after much strain. "Okay, awesome! Now, buckle up for safety." Tom snickered at himself before pulling the seat belt tightly around the computer, clicking it into place. Tom stretched his back, causing it to pop some. "Alright. Now I just have to figure out where I'm going to fit the 40 inch monitor."

After another hour of "heavy" lifting, Tom was ready to go. He didn't need to say bye to anyone as his parents were never home anyway. He piled into his car, clicking on the gps. He checked his phone to make sure he had the right address, punching it in. The gps said it would be an eight hour drive to get to the beach house causing Tom to groan again.
"You have got to be kidding me. This is gonna take forever. Oh well, as long as I get to see Eve." The thought of the girl Tom had a crush on brought a smile to his face as he started the car.

________________________________________________________________________________________

With about an hour left to go, Tom felt his phone buzz in his pocket. Figuring it was Audrey or Ales texting him he pressed the button to bring the screen to life. He shrugged when he saw it was Oliver, thinking the man was just telling him he landed.
"Aw what the heck. A little texting while driving never killed anyone."When he saw the message he dropped the phone as if it had just burned him. The shock also made him jerk the wheel, his car sliding off the road and onto the rumble strips for a second. Once Tom righted the car he stared down at the message, blood pounding in his ears. He picked the phone up as if he was scared it might burn him again.

Tom clicked away from the message Oliver had sent him, pulling up a new message to Ales. His thumb was lightning, tapping the screen furiously. After he had sent the message to Ales, his heart was still thumping loudly. Making sure he looked back up at the road every few seconds, Tom continued to stare at the message from Oliver. He eventually typed out a half hearted message, biting his lip in thought.
"Well this sucks. I have no chance now. Eve is gonna fall in love with him." Tom ran his hand through his hair, sighing. It's gonna be a long month.

Just pretend there's stuff in there. Case is the only important part.

As the car engine started up, a rush of excitement hit Audrey's body like a gust of wind. Even though she hated the beach and would frankly kill someone if they pulled her in the water, she would miss the opportunity to spend time with her friends, thats for sure.

She ignored the way Annabelle and Sebastian interacted, Shifting her focus to concentrating on the moving yellow lines on the road. She grabs her phone and texts Lucas When she looked up, she screamed.

"WATCH OUT!" There, in the middle of the road, was a fox. She gripped Paeyton's shoulder in a frenzy of panic. "STOP THE CAR!"

As they get closer and closer to the fox, she grips her eyes close.

As Paeyton was driving she started thinking about Lucas, she missed him, they were having problems lately. She really didn't tell anyone, she didn't want the situation to get worse. As they got closer to the house, she did notice the fox run out on the road. She stepped on the break, but not hard enough for Audrey though, Cause this girl freaks out and grabbed her shoulder. Before they reached the fox it ran back into the woods. because there was no cars behind them, she stopped and looked at her " Seriously " she looked at her, then started driving again.

Sebby jerks forward in his seat a bit, his gaze changing from amused at Annabelle to worried for Paeyton. He feared something was going on and there had been an accident, but when he heard Audrey say fox, his face instantly softened. "Really Audrey, this is what you get me worried for." His voice sounded joking, but laced an undertone of seriousness as he sat back in his seat. The thought of near death really does something to ya.

Sebastian pulled Anna's legs back on him and leaned his head back, closing his eyes to take a deep breath. He was fine, everyone was fine. He looked over at the girl who was formally looking out the window, and noticed the smile on her face, wondering what it was for.

Oliver jerked forward, causing his hand to slip out from under him. He made an annoyed face and looked up at Audrey, whose reflection he could see in the rearview mirror. "A Fox, a damn Fox." He thought to himself as he shook his head. He grabbed his phone out of his lap and read what Tom had replied, still irritated about basically everything, he set it down and then positioned his hand back and continued gazing out the window as he kept the annoyed look on his face.

Audrey could sense the annoyance in the car from her outburst. She couldn't help it, she loves animals to much to die. Then after Sebastian's comment, she winced and curled her legs up to her chest. "Sorry everyone." She says quietly, turning her attention towards the window. She could spot the beach through the trees, so she knew they were close.

She tucked her eyes shut and tried to forget about that everyone in the car right know is pretty annoyed, and Oliver was just flat out angry. She truly was sorry, but she can't let anymore animals die because of humans.

"Mmmnh?" Annabelle asked, forcefully snapped back into reality, away from her daydream of wonderland. I say asked, but no one really knew for sure whether it was a question or not. Even Anna herself wasn't much aware of the odd sound she had made. Caught off guard by the sudden slamming of breaks caused her legs to slip foreward, her hand pressed against the back of Audrey's seat for support. Looking foreward, she noticed a small fox scurrying into a nearby forest. Sighing in relief, she held her hand to her chest, feeling her heart pounding. Loud noises, sudden outbursts, and almost dying tend to have that affect of a majority of people.

Anna settled her back against the door, leaning her head against the window. Hearing all the blame directed at Audrey, she wanted to grin, but knew how much the girl cared for animals. For once, she saw an opportunity to shame Audrey, and she let it go. As she felt Sebastian's warm hands slip her legs back over his lap, she sighed contently, settled comfortably in her seat.

Staring monotoniously back out the window, a small chuckle could be heard. Anna couldn't help the petty feeling overcoming her, hearing the comment Oliver happened to make.

Really, you chose her, over me? Your loss... Anna thought silently, her face returning to the bored-look most people have on long car-rides. Though she didn't show it, Anna was bitter about the whole Oliver-Audrey incident. It hurt her to think that her closest friend at the time would side with her enemy. The seven-hour airplane ride had tired her out, and she desperately needed a nap.

The warm summer wind gently brushed against Lucas' light skin as he stood next to the black pavement outside the airport. He rubbed the back of his neck while stretching out his arms, as the cramped nature of the airplane had made his muscles sore. Clad in white v-neck, navy shorts, and black Adidas shoes, the tall muscular teenager waved out his hand to hail a taxi. Soon enough, a yellow cab pulled up abruptly next to him and the driver popped the trunk for him to store his luggage. After Lucas slipped into the backseat and gave the driver the address to the beach house, they began to drive away from the airport and towards the highway. He had a feeling that the rest of them were already there, as his flight had been at a much later time than the others and he would have felt bad making them wait for him.

His piercing hazel green eyes gazed out through the transparent window as the scenery changed before him. His attention darted from the tropical palm trees to the walking pedestrians to the quaint beach houses, excitement building up quickly inside of him. Suddenly, his phone buzzed and he reached into his pocket to take out his black iPhone 6. Lucas chuckled when he read the text from Audrey, his thumbs flying over the keyboard to respond. After he sent his message, he decided to send his girlfriend, Paeyton, a text as well. Although they had been having major issues lately, he still cared about her and was definitely feeling excited to see her. After sending his second message, Lucas put his phone back into his pocket and redirected his attention to the beautiful ocean. He could sense that they were almost at the house and he couldn't help but smile in anticipation. A summer with his best friends was just what he needed before college.

Sebastian leaned forward in his seat, well, as forward he could go, and looked over at Audrey. He saw how she shut her eyes tight, and felt bad about what he said. Sighing, he pouted his lips and bit and furrowed his eyebrows together. "Hey, don't look so sad, I didn't mean it." He tried. Seb doubted that would get an answer from her, but he didn't want to say too much else, not while they were all in the car.

He turned as he heard Anna make a sound, slightly hoping it wasn't anything mean. He sighed again as she only looked out the window, her face going blank. He didn't know why, but it hurt when he couldn't keep any of his friends happy. Sebby took that as a personal thing, as if it were his fault, and it wasn't a good feeling.

Paeyton continued on driving, they didn't have much farther till they arrived at the beach house. She noticed her phone going off and looked down quickly enough to notice it was Lucas. She figured it be best to wait to respond, everyone already had a heart attack from the fox incident so she left her phone sitting in the cup holder. They finally arrived at the house, she hit the garage door button and pulled in and parked. The garage was detached from the house, she turned the van off and opened her door "this be so exciting" she yelled. She got out and walked out and headed towards the large front doors, as she walked up the steps she pulled out her phone, read Lucas' text and replied before unlocking the doors and stepping inside

Lucas' phone vibrated again in his pocket and he pulled it out, reading the reply from Paeyton. A smile appeared on his face and he was about to reply when he saw the beach house come into view. As they neared the house, he noticed a large van parked on the driveway and he recognized his friends getting out of the car, racing towards the house. The taxi finally pulled up in front of the house and he thanked the driver before exiting the vehicle. After retrieving his luggage from the trunk, he headed up the driveway towards the group of recent high school graduates. "What's up, guys!" he greeted friendlily, a bright smile on his face, as he reunited with everyone again. "That plane ride felt like a lifetime. The amount of leg space I got was absolutely torturous," he commented, thinking back to his flight.

Lucas' piercing hazel eyes finally landed on Paeyton and his smile only grew wider. He closed the distance between them and embraced her in his arms, giving her a kiss on the lips. "Hey baby, I missed you," he whispered into her ear before breaking apart, not wanting to put on too much PDA in front of their friends.

Ales rolled over and glanced at her alarm clock. It took her a few blissful moments for her to realize exactly what time it was, and even then she was in denial. She bolted out of bed and grabbed her phone from the charger. A message from before popped up:

She put her phone into her bag and went straight to her car, picking up her luggage on the way out. She started the car and pulled out of the driveway, muttering to herself, "So much for being the responsible one."

Tom arrived at the house, sighing in relief that he had survived the drive. He collapsed back in his chair, closing his eyes. His mind was running a mile a minute, thinking of what would happen between himself, Oliver, and Eve. He felt his phone buzz in his lap, picking it up. He typed up another message as fast as his thumbs would allow before dropping his phone back down. He saw his friends in the driveway, avoiding looking at Oliver. When he noticed Eve wasn't in the van with him Tom sighed in relief, sliding his phone into his pocket. He flung the door open, hopping out. He admired how the ground felt under his feet before he walked over to the passenger side. He said nothing to his friends, unbuckling the computer and once again struggling to get it out of the car. It had been eight hours since he'd played any games. We were in crisis mode.

Once Tom had set the computer carefully on the ground he walked over to the back seat. He pulled out his backpack full of the other peripherals for his computer like his headset and keyboard, slinging it across his shoulder. He left the clothes and other "non-essentials" in the car, closing the door. He leaned over for what seemed like the thousandth time, performing the herculean task of lifting his computer.
I swear, next time I upgrade I'm getting a case with a handle on it. Tom made his way slowly over to where his friends were standing, his arms shaking "Hi...Everyone...Can you...Door?" Tom was clearly struggling with the "heavy" load, speaking through grit teeth.

Oliver smirks at Tom, then opens the door for him. "Need any help carrying it in? It's literally bigger than you." He lets out a small chuckle as he holds the door open for Tom, waiting for him to go inside.

Ales felt her phone buzz but had to wait until she was in heavy traffic to look at it. She didn't want to answer it in the car, but felt bad that she couldn't help her friend that needed her. Alessandra bounced her leg impatiently, knowing full well that it would definitely take... well a long time... to get there. Finally she found an opening in the traffic and was about to go for it when some a*shole stole her chance. She hit the steering wheel angrily, producing a long blare before composing herself. Thank god she was driving alone.
